Reviews of Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk, an IHG Hotel 3*
My family and I were super impressed with this hotel. The valet, workers behind the bar, and check in were all GREAT! We had a terrible view of an alleyway, but didn’t mind because the room itself was so nice. Right on the river but in a quiet area and within walking distance (a bit far) of the hotspots on the river.
I LOVE this hotel! Everything was superb from valet, to check in (front desk staff was AMAZING! I love Theresa’s patience and I absolutely ADORE Brianna-I’m pretty sure that was her name). Brianna gave us some awesome local recommendations. Although the room wasn’t ready just yet at check in (we were early) — we didn’t mind waiting. Being in the business myself, for as long as I have been, I know what it feels like to be on the receiving end. So We walked around the exterior of the hotel, down to the Riverwalk etc. I say all this to say, I hate the previous negative reviews, as that is definitely NOT the experience, nor the vibe we got from this hotel. I absolutely will stay here again and I will always recommend this location to my other hoteliers. Side note-I REALLY appreciate the staff who look out for other employees staying at their hotel (even at our discounted rate). We all work so hard for the same goal, so it definitely feels appreciated on the receiving end. Thank you hotel indigo and brianna and theresa!
All the staff were very nice and friendly. The valet parking was great! We had breakfast and it was delicious and the staff were all friendly. We will definitely stay again.
We went to see the Goo Goo Dolls at the Tobin center and book a room at Hotel Indigo … we had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the Riverwalk … Beautiful view and warm and friendly workers, was greeted every time we came and went, room was clean and beds was very comfortable and the hotel smelled fresh and clean as we came and went. I’ll will definitely stay here if we ever get back to San Antonio.
Great location don’t like paying $49 for parking though.
Nice clean room. Not too noisy environment 😊
Very fun, very close to everything a very cute boutique experience.
Thought this hotel would be perfect for my three day stay — seemed like a good location, pet friendly, and the price isn’t terrible. However, I was in a dead sleep on my first night and woke up to a HUGE cockroach crawling down my face. Killed it, took these pictures, then carried it down to the front desk…they offered me free breakfast?! WHAT? No, I’m sorry — if there is a roach in my room on the second floor, I’m 100% certain they’re in your kitchen too.
Good location and nice view.
Super clean friendly staff comfortable rooms all the best Thanks indigo❤️❤️❤️ hotel.
Great place and the balcony rooms are beautiful. note the parking policies.
Rooms were not clean, valet is $49 per night. For the price we paid I will definitely not stay here again.
No microwave in room TV is all in Spanish remote not working two towels in bathroom slamming doors all around worst hotel I’ve ever been in rather be at motel 6
LOVE the balcony! Good food, generous drinks.
Beautiful hotel. Wonderful service.
Beautiful hotel! Great location!
Too noisy, kids running down the hallway, other occupants playing music loud, talking loud and parking is horrible. Hotel doesn’t inform you of the extra 150 dollars they take off your card until you ask. Terrible customer service.
First of all, they gave us the “room keys & number” and we went to the room and it was unlocked, opened the door and walked in a family, turns out they have us the wrong number. Secondly, the restroom wasn’t clean at all, there was stool all over the toilet bowl. Lastly, the carpets were not vacuumed. Never again.
Awesome hotel. Spacious rooms. Friendly staff and atmosphere!
Just go… trust me u will not be disappointed. Everything we asked for was Thr. On time… and all requests were met as well and as for service… all staff was excellent… defenitly going back. Soon.
My husband, daughter and grand kids
went to visit my brother and partner, they stayed at the indigo. We all had a few drinks at the bar, by the way your bartender Humberto was very hospitable, friendly and polite. Very clean restrooms and friendly staff.
Great view, comfortable atmosphere.
Awful experience. Would not recommend. Didn’t even want a hotel room but had to get one for because the power went out and it was 30 degrees in our home.
Tried to charge us 50$ to check in an hour early (check in is 3pm check out is 11am and there was literally no one there. Rooms were going for 75$ a night online because its off season and no one was buying. ) Showed up at 3 to be turned away for another hour because the room wasn’t ready.
Didn’t give us the king bed we paid for. Said they upgraded us because of the wait time but it was a smaller bed, and a room without working outlets/broken furniture.
Charged us a bunch of crazy DAILY fees without even telling us it would happen or why.
Up charged us after the storm. I’d already paid for the reservation online and the next day they had to randomly charge me 70$ because they said I didn’t pay enough on the website. Once the storm hit they’re prices more than doubled online even though they didn’t have running water. And they hit us with another 50$ the morning we were supposed to be leaving saying it’s incase we stay past the 11am check out time. What was originally supposed to cost 362$ ended up being over 700$. That was our rent money for March. So no I don’t recommend. Definitely not worth the money. Horrible customer service. Just go to a Days inn or something this is a mediocre hotel at best trying to charge five star prices.
Our room is so lovely! Perhaps the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Plus the bed is extremely comfortable and even had FOUR PILLOWS without me having to request extras!
The TV works perfectly. The view from our veranda is wonderful.
The thing that I’m most impressed by is the Concierge “Paul”. Such a friendly, welcoming man.
He has texted us twice to make sure everything was perfect for us. That was a very nice touch.
Great Employees… Always helpful.
Everything as I would expect. Food was excellent. No room service during covid though. A n d… unexpectedly. No microwave in room. Not cool for re-heating your take out or warm up of coffee, etc. Nice clean well maintained facility. Beautiful facility.
Cozy, clean, very spacious rooms and awesome outdoor pool.
So we pretty much lived here for a week for our sisters trip.
We met great staff here like Jonathan, Paul, and Adrienne at the front desk! Our bartender, Brook and the weekend barista, made amazing drinks for us!
If I planned on moving I had a job with maintenance! The pool was cleaned daily and fresh water added.
The housekeepers were super sweet and helped us with anything our little hearts desired!
They were still remolding but helped us in anyway they could and made us feel welcomed!
During this uncertain time, the facility was cleaned during ALL hours to keep us all safe. Our back courtyard looked over the Riverwalk and directly across from the Tobin Center where we were serenade one night by an awesome violinist.
I highly recommend Hotel Indigo and will stay here my next trip!
Thank you for wonderful memories!
❤️ The Pray Girls!
I loved this Hotel. It's nice and clean. Great staff too!
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is very friendly.
A very nice place to stay! Right along the Riverwalk!
Beautiful grounds & patio. Very serene.
Staff is helpful, friendly. Brooke at the Bridges Bar and Bistro was great!
I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. I thought that I got good value for my money.
Friendly staff, decent location for the river walk.
Always enjoy our stays here! Within walking distance of restaurants and attractions… easy check in and out… good restaurant and bar… many good times.
Great location staff extremely helpful and accommodating.
Just a great hotel and staff Jonathan at the front desk is aswome.
Nice atmosphere professional staff. Rooms updated and are very nice.
Very nice and clean. Staff was very professional. Valet staff was awesome! My experience here was great. Don't have any complaints. I would recommend this to any coming to San Antonio, Texas.
We loved our week long stay! The staff is wonderful. They were all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and nice, and it's just a short walk from Alamo square. Beautiful hotel, great food, and the kids loved the pool!
Hotel isn't bad. Good service. But don't eat there. Way overpriced. They charged $42 a person for a buffet of what tasted like grocery store deli food. And charged gratuity for a buffet. They wanted $62 for including 2 drinks. Ridiculous.
Location is very nice. Close to downtown without the hassles of the being downtown. The staff is amazing and the rooms quite. My only real compliant would have to be the valet parking. At $29, I personally think it is a bit high. You do have the option to self park in city lots, but then your vehicle is a block away and off hotel property. Construction is also going on in this area at this time so detours may be required when using your phone for directions.
Alex at the front desk was nice. He did a great job at checking us in. I wish he was a little more informed about the water taxi and the parking situation. I was not happy about thr 29 dollar valet fee. I wish we were told about that before we came. The hotel looks very nice when you first walk up. The inside on the other hand really needs some work. The smell was just awful. The hallways smelled so horrible. The dining room also had the same gross smell so we decided not to bother eating there. The room was nice but the beds are not very comfortable. The bathroom was terrible. There were black stains on the towels and the shower curtain was so disgusting and yellow. The wallpaper was peeling off and there was a huge stain of what looked to be blood or food on the door. I think I will be staying somewhere else when we come into town next time. This would be a wonderful place to stay if they would just do a little updating and maybe clean the carpet in the entire hotel.
I wouldn’t even rate this a one star hotel. The photos online make this out to be a beautiful boutique hotel, which it absolutely is not. The whole hotel looks like it had a fresh coat of paint slapped on over all of the mess. My room smelt SO bad. There was mold in the shower drain and the fridge smelt of fish. I do have to say that the bed and pillows were amazing. Do not let the pretty online photos fool you. This is in no way an upscale hotel. Do not waste your money! JW Marriott from here on out!
I enjoyed my stay so much. The staff was so nice and accommodating. I never caught his name but the young guy that works the front desk was amazing. He was so friendly, he made us laugh, he interacted with my kids and made them feel so welcome and he helped me with finding my way around town. The facilities are nice, the rooms are great and have very comfy beds. The restaurant has great food… the burger is A+. Very nice pool, For it to be on the river walk it still gave you privacy. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would go right back there if I got to visit San Antonio again.
Nice spacious room! You can catch the Water taxi right out back. We rode it all the way to get our money's worth. The only downside is that parking is across the street and filled up quickly. The overflow lots are not marked. Only one attendant was manning the front desk the entire weekend so that caused a lot of frustration. Breakfast on weekends doesn't start until 7am, so if you're pregnant you have to starve until then. Bring snacks. The rooms have small refrigerators.
I like the place. Reasonable price, easy access to Riverwalk. Ppl were nice. Parking is available across the street. The rooms have character but are not fancy. If you are someone who like modern design you may not appreciate it but if you like the hotel to have some feel and character of the city you are in you will probably like it.
Don’t get room 343. It’s attached to the very loud ice machine and overlooks the parking lot. Room phone doesn’t work. Room service breakfast consisted of cold eggs and cold potatoes. Shower spills water onto floor. You cannot see the river walk from the hotel. Parkinglot was full 2 of 3 nights. Housekeeping did not clean kitchen or replenish coffee supplies or cups. Staff is very nice. Not worth the money.
We stayed here for the first time because we were attending my niece's wedding which was very close to the indigo. The hotel was clean. It was a little older Hotel but in good condition. The bathroom only had one sink two would have been better. The staff was very friendly and cordial. We only had breakfast there one day but it had absolutely no taste so we didn't eat there again. For the price I thought it could have been a little bit nicer and updated a little bit more. It is very far down on the Riverwalk so you have a long ways to go before you hit all the restaurants and activity. I also felt that for the guests staying there they should have reduced the price for bottled water, soda, and snacks.
Everything was wonderful! The staff was so kind and caring, and the rooms and beds were huge! Perfectly placed on the Riverwalk, it was a perfect getaway! I have never slept better in my life!
Staff was extremely nice but the rooms were not sanitary. Our bathroom smelled like urine and the sheets in our room had 7-8 hairs in it and had not been changed. Would not recommend.
Good hotel, located close to the city centre with direct access to the River Road, the staff are very helpful. There is a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a private parking but not secure, the rooms are large and has a fridge, a sink and you can take these meals the only regret is the lack of bathtub.
The hotel is very average for the price. I have had better experiences at hotels half the price. The staff is helpful, kind, and well trained. The executive room was definitely not what I would call “Executive”. Just a few feet down from the laundry room. The hallway was always crowded with carts and towels. One bed stand, a remote that didn’t work, a patio with bargain chairs, scratches and holes in the walls. We purchased the breakfast package, and were satisfied with the options, but probably would have been better eating out. All that said we won’t be staying here again.
Parking is $12 A night, security makes it's rounds at the parking lot, no surprises on bill, Robert was outstanding with our questions and concerns, simply amazed by this resort and it's staff. We are currently here and loving it, been to San Antonio many times and first time at this place, I am a gold elite member and happy with our room as it was clean and bed was amazing. Downfall was the safes are keep at the front desk. Otherwise you can walk along the river to get to downtown from the hotel about a 15min walk.
This is a good hotel for the price. Nothing fancy. It looks like an older renovated hotel. The best part is that it is on the quiet side of the river. We went while it was too cold for the pool but it looked nice. Parking was a bit of a pain. You have to park across the street in an unattended parking lot that fills fast. The staff was friendly. The bar was expensive. The buffet was the usual hotel expensive but didn't have a lot to offer. The rooms were clean but again, nothing too fancy.

I stayed at the Hotel Indigo while I'm San Antonio for a conference. The facilities are generally nice but definitely leaving something to be desired. The front desk staff is very friendly but slow… The room was nice and spacious but awkwardly laid out. There are also just few design quirks like that the towels books can't support a towel well. But overall didn't mind my stay and was able to save some money.
Robert has been excellent! The room he had for us has an amazing view: the pool, river walk, and a lit up part of downtown. He makes sure we are comfortable everyday, asking how he can make our stay more memorable.
I absolutely loved this hotel. It is very modern looking and clean. Our room had a view to the Riverwalk and that was just amazing, especially at night. Parking space is $16 and across the street from the main entrance, I kinda did not like this, but everything turned out fine. This is definitely on my top hotels list in SA.
A nice hotel on the Riverwalk. The front desk staff remembers your name when you walk by. The decor is contemporary yet comfortable feel. We upgraded to River walk and pool view. Two easy flights of stairs to get down to the River and catch a river taxi for a ride to the restaurants.
Smelled like warm apple pie when you walked in. Cozy, spacious room with a bed that left me rolling around and purring like a kitten. Soaps and shampoo/conditioner left my post-race body refreshed and B. O. Free. Best part, check out time left us with enough time to shower, rest, and pack up without feeling rushed.
Great, friendly staff and nice atmosphere! The room was very spacious. I had to call the hotel because I kept missing the entrance due to work/detour signs around the entrance and the front counter man was friendly and helped me get to the hotel. The shower pressure could have been better but the hot water temperature was great. The bed could be updated but it was pretty good overall. I would definitely stay at the hotel again due to the great atmosphere and personnel.
Very good hotel comfortable and spacious the room and is conveniently located.
Rooms are nice, clean. Hotel staff very friendly and attentive, checked us in 20 minutes early without a fuss. Room amenities were nice, especially for the nightly rate, and I appreciated the existence of the Keurig machine in the corner after a day's worth of walking. Never ate at the restaurant so I have no idea how their food is, but it always seemed to attract a crowd so I guess it must have been solid. The surrounding area is a little bit run down, but given so the construction in the area I'm not holding that against anyone.
A very good option. Clean and modern.
Only stayed for one night, but the hotel was nice with friendly staff! I was impressed by how big our patio was and how beautiful it was overlooking the Riverwalk. It's December so I didn't go in, but they had a nice looking pool outside with lots of tables to sit and enjoy outside. Would happily stay here again!
Great place to stay! The look, layout and rooms were very nice. The only thing I didn't like is that they didn't have a complimentary breakfast. Adding that would make it 5 stars in my opinion.
This hotel is fantastic. It has a little bit of everything for everyone… a nice bar, a dog walk, a pool, entry to the River walk, large, comfortable rooms, nice lobby sitting areas… I could go on and on… We really enjoyed our stay there and I would definitely stay there again.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Loved our stay! Room was lovely. Customer service was incredible. Everyone was very kind, accommodating, and helpful. I would stay here anytime. Just loved it.
Please do not stay at this hotel. It is a complete waste of money, on top of that they gave my wife, and I bed bugs! We stayed for four nights and five days, I started to notice bites on my third day and thought it was mosquito bites. Sure enough, we came home, and the bites kept popping up, now we have to pay a company to exterminate the bedbugs we brought home from their hotel. Yes, I am sure we got it from them, that was the only place we stayed while in San Antonio and drove straight back home to Oklahoma City. When we left our house, we had no bites and no problems since we brought our clothes back from the hotel the bedbugs manage to get in our bed and our closet. This is the worst hotel I have ever been too, and they also did nothing for us when we called them to notify them. I quote "we haven't had a complaint in a long time. " This was after fighting with them for ten minutes proving we stayed there. According to them, we were never at their hotel, until we told them our reservation number they said our names were not in their system at all. Please save the money and trouble and do not stay at this hotel, they were horrible as well as their rooms.
Loved our stay! Room was lovely. Customer service was incredible. Everyone was very kind, accommodating, and helpful. I would stay here anytime. Just loved it.
Pretty hotel. I liked having a river taxi stop right there. The room was very well decorated, very romantic for our anniversary. Renae at the front desk was amazingly attentive and thoughtful. I was slightly disappointed about a maintenance issue we had in the bathroom, but they were able to fix it on the same day, so that's good. I wasn't happy about having to park across the street in a crowded lot for $16 a day though. It was a very annoying walk to and from the car every day, especially one night when we can back late from dinner and the only spot left open was at the very back of an alternate lot even farther away from the hotel. But, overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it.
The establishment don't like me.
Con: Due to very limited parking … Parking is directly across street and comes at an additional cost of $16. However it is patrolled by a security guard at night. My husband and I came in town for a local event. This hotel was nice and off the river walk. It has a gym, bar, and restaurant amenities onsite. The staff were nice. From the hotel we walked to the river walk at a stroll pace. It took 20 min to get to where the action was (restaurants). That was cool with us because we were in no hurry. Later that evening we ordered in food. The room service was quick we had two cheeseburger combos and paid approximately $38. The room was fitted with a modern day flat screen and dorm size refrigerator. Our stay was very comfortable and accommodating. The bed slept well.
Beautiful hotel. Great and attentive service. Very boutique feel to the hotel. If you are looking to be in the middle of all of the action on the Riverwalk, this place is not for you. However, if you want something a bit more quaint where you can spend some quality romantic time and still be near the action, you will love it here.
I am a big fan of Indigo hotels, however, this one feels like it was just slapped together. Service is good, there is no valet parking and the only self parking is an unsecured lot across the street. The decor is typical and hip as most Insigo hotels are but, unlike most, the wall paper and flooring looks as if they were thrown up with little attention to detail. Rooms are basic. Bathrooms are good size and updated well.
Nice hotel, located in the quiet part of river walk. About a 15 min walk to the actual busy part of river walk. Back gate stays open from 7am to 11pm to access river walk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room service was nice, you don't have to charge it to the room.
Found this gem of a boutique hotel. Alex at the front desk was such a pleasure. James at bar was so accommodating. Very clean top notch staff. I worked in quality management for years with the Ritz Carlton. This place is the place to stay when in San Antonio. Right on river walk with water taxi service great amenities great modern interior design. Love Love Love this place. ***** I will be back many times.
I have had an outstanding experience of this hotel. The staff are all warm and welcoming, the amenities are high quality, and the location is beautifully situated on the river. Audrey checked me into the hotel and was a generous, attentive host. Adriin saved me by working hard in the early morning hours to extend my stay at the hotel as my home city was experiencing Hurricane Harvey. Both women went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and overall I have felt safe and taken care of. I will definitely be staying here again.
Rooms are excellent, if in need of a bit more decoration. Helpful staff, prompt room service, excellent location. Stay was cut short by Hurricane Harvey, which has is no fault of the hotel's obviously, but I wish I could've stayed longer!
The staff is super friendly… all of them however there are a few things that could help this hotel really come up to 5 stars. The location will not bring in the heavy flow like the ones 7 minute walk away so little things like a microwave in the room… let coffee be complimentary and maybe more guest would pay for breakfast. I stay In a lot of hotels and this was the first that did not have coffee sitting in the reception area. I understand the paying for parking, that's everywhere on the riverwalk but if I have to go out and get coffee chances are and I did, I'm grabbing breakfast out. There are keurig's in the rooms but I came to sit on the patio in the morning and enjoy the river and your breakfast is not costly for a family. Averaging about $15 per person and I'd rather put that $60 on something else daily (I mean it's eggs and coffee) so probably going to go back to places like the Hyatt that at least if some of their locations charge for breakfast I can enjoy a morning coffee on them. The rooms are nice enough and the staff one more time are awesome. Just if you want to compete for your price add a few incentives to stay a little out of the way so people will come back. I would've.
Hotel Indigo is an excellent hotel to stay. I recommend it. The only thing I didn't approve is the parking situation. You pay $16 a night for parking. They have 4 handicap parking spaces in front and 1 across the street. I don't know if they security in the parking lot. Anyway I highly recommend it to stay.
Great hotel by the River Walk! Excellent service, special thanks to Hercules and Patrick for going an extra mile with their service. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Overall, a great spot to stay and be close by to so many amenities in the San Antonio area.
Overall, a pretty decent hotel. This isn't my first time staying at this property. I'm usually here once a year on business. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice. I've been in one with a king-sized bed and a room with double queens. The rooms have the standard amenities plus a refrigerator. While on the Riverwalk it is a little bit away from the restaurants (10-15 minute walk depending). I like it because you're not caught up in the tourist crowds but close enough if you want. Parking is across the street from the hotel and does cost extra.
This was the first time staying at this Hotel and would definitely come back. Upon arrival we were given the wrong room but Audry & Renee at the front desk immediately took care of us and we had the King Suite with the river view in a few minutes. They were so accommodating with any request we had. Audry answered any questions regarding directions or even her opinion on a good place to eat for a great Mexican dinner. I had read a few reviews about the staff so was a little worried but Audry at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. Plus our room was large and very clean with a great view of the Riverwalk!
This was my first visit to San Antonio, we stated at the Indigo Hotel off St. Marys I will first say that when there was a change in the reservation they called me and let me know ahead if time instead of waiting until I got there, I truly appreciated that. The rooms were descent and clean, nice patio. The staff were so nice, accommodating and pleasant. I absolutely loved Renae, she was wonderful made sure our stay went well. I read reviews and they help me decided on trying places so I definatley wanted to return the favor. This was a pretty good experience.
Great place to stay, it near everything, you can take an Uber to the Riverwalk which is 5 minutes away and will only cost you 5 dollars, the rooms were clean and spacious, big TV with cable and the workers are very freehand will help you with any questions.
What a lovely hotel, exceptional service, and friendly, friendly people. A special shout out and thank you to Tyrrell and Jonathan for making our birthday-sister trip very special. Jonathan has been especially accommodating and helpful during our stay. The breakfast guys were wonderful to us all as well!
Amazing hotel, comfortable beds, lots of pillows and best of all, amazing service! We were celebrating my sister's birthday and the staff went way out of their way to make this a most memorable stay! The rooms were beautifully appointed! I loved the colors and the furnishings. I will definitely be back!
This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. So many complications. Beside being charged twice and three times for parking no one really knows how to do their job properly. Robert the night time guy is rude as can be. Needs to get another job hate that he tried treating me like I am stupid because I have an accent. I have a masters degree that I got in the USA. Trust me I'm smart enough to understand you. Didnt need to his voice. Then whoever cleaned the room is awful. Red lipstick on the coffee cup and a dirty napkin by the night stand. Just and awful experience. Not worth it. Gross, overpriced and rude.
Me and my wife loved it. Can't wait to go back. Perfect place to stay. Love the parking and loved the walking out onto the river. Taking the water taxi and don't need a car :-)
I absolutely love this hotel. Clean. Smells good. (a lot of hotels have a weird smell) Parking is only $10. Most on the river walk are at least $20. A beautiful patio looking out to the river walk to eat breakfast and drink coffee. Staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be going back. :)
First thing this morning, getting out of the shower, my "clean" towel had blood on it, not sure if it was stained or just never washed… ; we left our room for the day, and when we returned, it hadn't been touched. No new towels, no bed made, no trash emptied, etc, etc… ;The "parking" is across the street in a dark lot, surrounded by a chain linked fence. I guess that I had certain expectations because of the $200+ per night cost, but am very sorely disappointed. Will not stay here again, ever!
I thought this was suppose to be one of IHG's premium brands. If it is, this was a poor example. We booked a king suite and ended up in a room with a rock hard queen on a king bed frame for nearly $300 per night. There were no valets and you had to park your car across the street in a bad area of town. They provided no parking lot security. The hotel and rooms were decorated beautifully, but everything was just nothing special. I wouldn't ever stay here again, the Holiday Inn express is a far better stay for a much lower price.
My husband and I stayed here for a night and enjoyed it very much. Room was updated and very clean. Our king size bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed being on the Riverwalk so we could walk and enjoy the sights. Will recommend to friends and family.
I would have liked to spend more time in that place but had to move back to Houston. The hotel I loved it it has a unique style, very colorful. With wooden floors and everything you need like iron, hair dryer, and a small cook very well-equipped kitchen with coffee maker and refrigerator everything you need. Not I had a river view room but when we went down to the dining room we were able to appreciate the place because it has outdoor tables and you can see the river. I loved it I hope to return at another time when the temperature is more pleasant. And let me tell you one last thing the people we met in truth they are friendly.
Loved it very nice view from the balcony, nice clean room, comfortable bed big buffet breakfast very nice staff I will definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay! It was our Anniversary & we were pleasantly inspired by our room & the beautiful balcony view! The Bar & Bistro was nice & all the employees were exceptional! We will DEFINITELY be staying there again!
This hotel was very nice. We asked for an extra blanket because we were cold and they even warmed it up. Good location.
The staff was excited and friendly. Room was just as shown in pictures if not better. Front desk staff was great. Kitchen staff was great as well. Breakfast was delicious dinner menu and food could use some work. Bar staff was good but could chat a little more with guest. Rooms are clean and lots of space had no problem with room. Will be staying at this hotel in San Antonio from now on for furture vacations. Location of hotel was great walking distance from riverwalk and Alamo. Would recommend this hotel to everyone I know. If I could rate 10 stars I would.
We had a good experience for the most part. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean. My only complaints were all the soda vending machines were not working, and I was disappointed with pot roast beef and mac n cheese dinner. There was a lot of gristle and fat on the meat and the mac n cheese seemed like store bought Kraft. Breakfast was good tho. Overall a positive experience.
Niya was wonderful! Kind, compassionate and caring. We were down to visit my sister she had a difficult summer and Niya made whatever accommodations we needed extremely pleasant! I can't thank her enough. We were treated very well by the staff and enjoyed Darlene's conversations as well. Very professional! We will definitely stay at the hotel Indigo the next time we visit. They are just like family now.
Great place to stay. Staff especially friendly. Right on the river, easy access to highway. Kids loved it. Overall awesome experience.
Great casual hotel; easy to get to with a self-park lot across the street and direct access to the Riverwalk. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Room was comfortable and clean; well-equipped (sink, mini-fridge, larger than average TV, hair dryer, iron, etc. ) and spacious. My suggestions to the hotel are have the lobby bar open earlier and stay open later on the weekends along with keeping the gate to the Riverwalk open later into the night. Will consider staying here again in the future, thanks for the memorable visit.
Enjoying our stay here during Memorial weekend. Very clean room. Lovely bathroom with great water pressure. Friendly staff, great housekeeping. Room service was delicious, I recommend the Texas Egg Rolls! Close to everything you need or want, but not as expensive as other hotels in this neighborhood.
Didn't receive the booked room with two beds. Ended up with an uncomfortable roll out bed and having to move our own furniture to accommodate it. Poorly organized bathroom and press board furniture. Also lack or electric outlets and mediocre Wi-Fi.
Great experience. Everyone was really friendly. Was my first time visiting San Antonio, I had a great time here thank you.
Truth be told, I've been staying here almost every week since Feb/2014. In order to save money for my employer the PM requested that I book here instead of the Westin (at $200/night). Good plan. However, this hotel, though pretty clean and VERY reasonably priced has some severe strikes stacking up against it. 3 months ago, I would have given this little hotel 3 stars — may be 4. But the problems I'll list below just keep chiseling away at quality. First, just about EVERY room, without exception, has a towel rack barley hanging onto the wall. When the cleaners come into the room, often they neglect to leave enough hand towels or wash clothes. They advertise free Wi-Fi. That's somewhat laughable. Their connection REGULARLY drops or is so slow you can hardly get past the log-in screen of Google! If you are use to working from your room and NEED your connection to stay steady, get ready for disappointment. I've mentioned it MULTIPLE times to the staff and they've stated they will pass the info to managers. When I've asked that management contact me (requested no less than 3 X's, possibly a 4th), my requests go UNANSWERED. I walked down tonight and spoke with the staff (they are VERY FRIENDLY and help as much as they can, truly) and as I explain the issue AGAIN, the sweet woman, while on the phone with management, asks if I hook up to the hard-line internet connection to, as she puts it "Stay connected.
I've already booked the hotel and am excited to stay. But they never answer their phone. I've called multiple times a day or on different to ask several different question but no one answers. They should consider another line, hiring more at the front desk, or even a call directory or voice mail service since the line go nowhere after ringing for a minute.
I stayed here while attending a hair convention. While haveing a few problems the staff was quickt to adress them. The bartender was great in referring a place to eat and info on the area. Take the river taxi as it is only 5.00 all the way to the convention center which was about a 35 minute walk. I would stay again.
If you are reading this, then you are probably a very savvy person, who likes to do there research. I applaud you. Please take this in consideration; be extremely careful when calling this hotel. I made a reservation through Expedia two weeks prior to my stay. Due to a last minute change (a week before) I required a second room. I called Expedia and I was told that all of the rooms were sold out at the price that I had originally reserved my first room for and to contact the hotel (which is understandable). I contacted the hotel to see if I could get another room, a man quoted me a ridiculous price (about $150 more than my existing reservation! ). I politely asked them "Why did the room cost so much? " and he answered "supply and demand". I told him I was going to call him back. I tried booking in another hotel, no luck. I called Hotel Indigo back to accept his ludicrous price of a hotel room and a lady picked up the phone. I explained to her that I recently just called and that need to book that second hotel room (I did not give her the crazy price the man gave me). She asked me "Did he give you a quote already? " and I said "Yes". She then did something on her computer and told me that the total was gonna the same price as the first room. How did this happen? so you are telling me that "supply and demand" changed in 5 minutes? I didn't make a big deal then over the phone. However, I did talk to the manager when my stay was over, complete scam.
We got a good deal here via one of those discount hotel services and quite liked our short stay here. Parking was a bit on the expensive side ($14 or $15 a night if I remember correctly), but other than that everything was great. Very clean, nice room, awesome shower, and an extremely comfortable, huge bed.
