Finding the hotel was a bit difficult at night since the road leading to the building isn't well lit at night. I'm a bit upset with a booking issue where I ended up without two queen beds however the single bed room came with an uncomfortable pull out sofa bed but definitely a positive considering that the alternative would have meant finding another hotel to stay at. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the complimentery breakfast was acceptable, and most importantly I felt safe staying at this hotel.

Excellent service. Room was beautiful and clean. We needed extra blankets and they had them ready in the closet. Breakfast was great. Kids enjoyed a Texas shaped waffle.

Got here late after an 11 hour road trip. Pulled in with our 25' trailer in tow as well. One of the reasons I booked this place is because I wanted to have a place to park our rig that wouldn't be a problem. When I called I was assured it would be ok (some of the others I called either didn't have room or weren't very confident things would be ok). Hotel was fabulous. Room was very spacious and clean. Places to eat were abundant and well within walking distance. Tina downstairs took good care of us and basically threw out the welcome mat. We'll head out today but if we're ever in need of a room in Amarillo again, we'll be staying here.

Nice rooms, helpful staff, good location, adequate breakfast. The only drawback was a HUGE family reunion that had taken over the pool, the outdoor area, the lobby and seemingly every square inch of the hotel (except our room). I’m glad you could get everyone together, but please be considerate of other guests and CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN.

So comfortable and restful. A storm came through when we were here and we thoroughly enjoyed coming back to the room on a three night stay. Beautiful rooms very spacious. Love that they have a full kitchen.

Nice rooms, okay breakfast. The outdoor pool was very dirty unfortunately. Would not go back.

The rooms were wonderful and my stay was very pleasant. The breakfast was good as well. No complaints from me, the staff did a great job and was very helpful.

Located at main road of Amarillo town, Homewood suites is a hotel from Hilton group. There is at least another one in town called home2 suites — this one has a young atmosphere.
Homewood suites is more formal and adult perspective. The staff is extremely helpful and polite while the services, such as cleaning, are very good.
The hotel has a parking space in the street just beside and behind the hotel entrance.
The breakfast is good for those who like American style food.
There is a swimming pool outside, but I just stayed during winter and the pool was closed. I think it could be a good option during Amarillo's hot summer.
There are also a barbecue space is front of the swimming pool. The space contains a barbecue, tables and seats.
The price is about average of any good hotel in region, you can find cheaper options but no with this level of quality. The bed, sheets, bathroom and TV were also good quality.
The wardrobe was a little small for me, but I was in a long stay what is not common.
The place also have a very comfortable living room downstairs with a fireplace and good seats. I have seen some meetings rooms but I did not enter in anyone of those.
I have been for 2 months in Homewood suites and I really enjoyed.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone in town that is looking for a relaxing time.

Beautiful place to stay. Friendly staff. If you are paying with a credit card the amount of the room is what they quote you. If you pay by debit they will charge you twice the same amount for incidentals. The charge will "fall off" your account in about a week. That's why I gave 3 stars I paid with a debt and was not properly informed of the two systematic charge situations.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good.

I thought this hotel was very reasonably priced for a king suite. It was the perfect amount of space for my family of 5. I only wish we had arrived earlier to enjoy it for more time!

Room in great condition, fast internet, and the nightly receptions are great. Would recommend.

The Manager Kamryn Steffens was absolutely amazing. She seemed to go the extra mile for any guests or employee and the rest of the staff or very accommodating as well.

This is the 2nd time we stayed in this particular Homewood Suites, and we were just as pleased as the first time. The hotel decoration is modern and new and the room felt fresh and clean. Someone from the front desk even called to check that we had everything we needed. Breakfast was great with the usual options and friendly servers.

Location is near to soncy. Good location. Restaurants and other amenities near by.

Nice place to stay and very relaxed yet professional staff. Rooms are great and parking is plentiful!

Homewood suits is the better value for long term or weekday stays. Free dinner and a decent breakfast everytime. (Hilton Diamond Member)

Stayed here several times over the years. Alway great rooms, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast variety! Definitely recommend this wonderful hotel!

This hotel nickel and dimes you a bit. Especially annoying is the fact that they turn the air conditioning off in your room until you check in. Nothing like walking into a 76 degree room after a hot Texas day. Also, tiny TV in room, breakfast 6:30 — 9:30 instead of the Hilton standard 6 — 10, tiny cheap shower head. The hotel is well maintained and clean but it's the little things that matter to frequent travelers. If the little things mean something to you, maybe stay somewhere else.

Pretty good experience except for a weird, annoying buzz noise coming from the wall. Almost had to sleep with the TV on to drown it out. Other than that, the suite was nice and clean. Breakfast was great.

Nice sized rooms. Expected a little more at breakfast for this level hotel. Sausage links were either overdone or pink in the middle. Breakfast was slow to restock. Waited quite a while and finally gave up on more yogurts and cereal boxes being put out. Finally saw cereal restocked, so we grabbed one for the road, but yogurt tub was simply removed and breakfast wasn't scheduled to end for quite awhile. No muffins or pastries.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Friendly service, clean and spacious rooms, ample parking, comfy bed, and enough pillows. There's even a ceiling fan over the bed, which was a plus for our sleeping habits! The complimentary breakfast was a bonus surprise as well. The powdered eggs tasted real and the sausages were real skin-on pork. Thinking back I wish I would have tipped the kitchen staff — the food was hot, prepared well, and no "slime" on the eggs that you'd normally see in bulk breakfasts. We were very happy and would come back in a heartbeat!

Rooms are okay, dont like the pull out couch. I rather sleep in a real bed. Bathroom is good like the hot water. Walls a VERY THIN so you Can hear everything! Its not ment for family who like to stay up late… Cops are called. Pool is outside. Sadly. Price is high. 170 a night. They dont feel like suites, to be honest. Paid a bit over 1000 for 2 nights 3 rooms. I will not be spending another night here. Wi-Fi was useless.

This hotel is really nice! Loved the grounds/pool area and also the breakfast area. Room was awesome — spacious clean and nice amenities. Would stay again and would recommend!

Not the best best Homewood Suites that I've stayed at. Powered scrambled eggs juevos (not a fan). Refrigerator broken.

This place was Amazing. Great staff. Fruendlu. Clean. There was construction going on, but you almost would not know. We LOVED the outdoor fireplace! Made the chilly night wonderfully pleasant.

I too like Charles booked a non-smoking room (113). Walked in and was greeted with smoke. Smells like someone had just smoked. Called the front desk, they didn't seem surprised and didn't offer to change room or any thing else. Not typical of hilton.

Staff is friendly and the rooms are well equipped.

Very comparable to the Embassy Suites brand that Hilton also owns. Every night there is a manager's reception that offers light appetizers and a small selection of alcoholic beverages. Do not be fooled though, I had put in through my travel website a non smoking room selection and was instead given a "non smoking room" on the smoking floor. Even though my room was clearly marked non smoking on the outside, it reeked of cigarette smoke on the inside. When I went and looked at the room profile on the Hilton app, it said that it was a smoking room. I am shocked that hotels still have these available considering the host of literature that talks about smoking's negative health benefits. Other than that, staff were nice and the rooms were clean, though a little dated.

Rooms are clean. Road in front is a one way so a little difficult to get in/out, especially when the restaurants are all the opposite way. Free internet is terribly slow.

I've stayed in better Homewoods, I've stayed in worse. It's aging and outdated, but the hospitality has been good. The sleeper sofa desperately needs to be repaired — my small child actually fell through it at the foot because nearly all the springs were missing. The mattress pad on sleeper and the sheet on the crib were very ragged. There was a dead rat outside the building near the door, but the front desk said they would take care of that immediately. I noticed several rat bait traps around the exterior of the building, so that gave me concern when I noticed the door to the kitchen was wide open (from the exterior of building). They have a grand courtyard for being outside near the pool, but it could use some tlc. The room seems clean, but carpet needs replaced. Everything else is acceptable. I saw a sign that they are renovating, so hopefully this will be a better choice in the future. I'll be looking for a better choice for near — future trips though.

The people that worked there saw me reading in the lobby but they just turned the lights off anyways. At least let me know jeez. Also had some bad service. I didn't feel welcome. That's the last time I'm going there.

Me and my husband stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. We paid $120 per night for 1 king bed suite and liked the stay. Breakfast was good, hospitality was okay, hotel looked new, neat and tidy. They gave us key for 1 day only and were locked outside entering from back door; had to walk all the way until reception to extend. Parking is ample. Smelled cigarette smell in corridors occasionally.

The most horrible reception after an 8 hour trip. The girl up front, Elizabeth, had the worst attitude and made it seem as we were an inconvenience to her. We are executive diamond members and we treated like trash. The room is most disgusting Homewood suites we have ever stayed in and corporate will be getting a heavy letter from us with pictures.

Front desk personal is very unfriendly! I tried to extand my stay for one night but they didn't care! Answer was: All fully booked! I except this anser, happens! No problem at all but in this tone and not even willing to support me to find another Hilton in town is not acceptable! I could walk over to Hilton Garden inn and asked by myself! It is only a phone call from Hilton to Hilton! Next time when I'm in Amarillo either I stay at Hilton Garden inn or I will stay with Holiday Inn.

I want to like this hotel, but I just can't. The room and hotel are spotless, but with a strong cleaning smell that bothered my husband's allergies. The heat in our room blew very strong in bedroom, but hardly at all in front room which is where the kids sleep, so husband and I slept with a sheet so the kids would be warm. Evidently the "breakfast girl" didn't show up, so breakfast wasn't ready although a cleaning lady was trying her best. Last butost feuaterating — 2 luggage carts for the whole hotel, we waited almost 30 min to get a cart at checkout, and that was following a person to thier car! We won't stay here again.

Attention room on 6/19 — 6/20/11: you or your party were rude, obnoxious, and inconsiderate. Between 10pm and 7am, I counted someone jumping from the furniture to the floor over *15* times. I complained to management twice and you continued to jump especially hard after my phone calls. I then complained to management in person and the director of sales (the mgmt "stepped away") told me they called the room 2x requesting them to stop, and after that *they can't do anything about it*. I was astounded because I wanted you to be evicted and, according to Ms. Sales Director, *hotels do not do that anymore*. SERIOUSLY? So Hilton and the hotel industry is going to let the rude guests run the quiet ones out. Bad bad business. After all this, no resolution, no refund, no compensation was offered. My family and I are s. O. L. And the jerks in rm get to terrorize others. Shameful. One other review I agree with is the decor was way overdone and lots of wasted space in the lobby. The outdoor pool was freezing and another reviewer is correct that there were no extra towels provided. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Its a shame because this is our first bad experience of our entire 2 week vacation.
