Upon booking I recieved an email that said "please excuse the outward appearance, we are currently under construction. " fair enough, thanks for the heads up.
Once we arrived late in the night, they graciously welcomed us… and said we could help ourselves to whatever snacks we wanted. We have 4 young kids and having an icecream bar that late was like having a disney cupcake! They were SO excited and raved about how it was the best hotel ever! My oldest saying how much better than the disney rooms it was…
My younger daughter said how gracious they were.
They made us breakfast this morning, which the owner said it's much easier to make a buffet vs making us all individual orders but we never felt a bother to him. He even watched my boys (2, 4) while I tried to eat a bite or 2… they have a fish tank in the lobby all of my kids appreciated.
During the daylight you can see the outside especially needs some work. We stayed in the queen suite which fits my family of 6 beautifully. The kids thought it was the coolest hotel room ever. We are travelers. Of course my husband and I could notice the work that needed to be done… but here's the thing… the owners went above and beyond to be hospitable.
This is EXACTLY the kind of place we want to support! This is a mom and pop shop and the owners care about customer service, such a wonderful change!
We could easily over see the work in progress due to the exceptional warmth bestowed to us.

From the moment you walk through the doors you are made to feel welcome. Alex goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best it can be. There was a welcome cocktail and snacks offered upon arrival. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was sooo comfy! The next morning we enjoyed breakfast made to order and a wonderful conversation with Alex. He also offered me snacks for the road when we left. You are really treated like family here. I can’t say enough about how great our stay was at this hotel. You won’t be disappointed. Side note to the review about breakfast not being allowed in room —
There is plenty of room to eat in the dining area. I would not want anyone taking food to the rooms and risk a spill on bedding or furniture. You are getting a made to order breakfast, not just a granola bar.
