I don't think of myself as really fussy, but this was a horrible place to stay. From the time we checked in until we left. Upon arriving, the room smelled horrible, almost like rotten meat. They advertised that the rooms come with a microwave and a fridge. Well unless someone stole them before we got there, this was not the case. The swimming pool was full of bugs and spiders, lots of them, the kids were freaked out. Nothing seemed clean. The breakfast was almost non-existent unless you wanted cereal. The icing on the cake was the 2 old perverts who tried to pick up my teenage daughters and myself by trying to lure us to their Suites upstairs. (I know this had nothing to do with the hotel, but maybe the kind of locals it attracted at the time, they seemed to know the area well by the small conversation they tried to have with us). Also, if you want to change the color of the roof from green to red, you should hire someone to paint it professionally, not have maintenance paint it with rattle can spray paint, it looks sketchy. To the defense of the hotel, it seemed to change ownership within days of our stay. We left a jacket behind, that was never found, not really a big surprise, and called to see if it had been turned into lost and found. They did not even know where the lost and found was located, when I questioned why they did not know, they said they just purchased the super 8 and took over that week. When driving back through later that next week, I popped in and spoke with the new owner, and she said not only did she not still know where the lost and found was located, nor did she have any idea what they did with all of the linens that were supposed to be there. She did offer to ship my jacket if it were ever found, personally out of her pocket, I told her this was not necessary, as she had her hands full. Hopefully she can turn this place around, but there sure was a whole lot of work to be done. She, the new owner, was kind and seemed to have interest in the business, Hope all have a new and better experience than we had. I am only going to give it 2 stars to reflect the price was cheep, or it would have only have received 1. Please note this review is based on the previous owner, and should not reflect that of the new owner or staff. (stayed in early summer 2014).
