My friend was the one that stayed booked the room. I was just visiting. It was his room. So first off they wouldn't let him check in until 3 like absolutely not till 3 even though online it said you could check in at 10. When he finally did check in the room was occupied by someone still so he went back trying to get another room. The room they gave him was filled with sawdust and smelled of paint so he went back cancel his reservation and moved it to the Best Western which was a much better hotel and I recommend the Best Western on Pelham Road versus the Red Roof do not go there.

Great place with great prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean everytime I've visited. Only down side is the hwy is a little loud if in the front building.

I think this place is excellent for its price. I also like that it is dog-friendly without fees! I was unsure if it would be clean or safe, but was amazed by how nice it is for the price. My room was pretty clean for the most part (bed was clean, bathroom and floors were very clean). My only complaint is that the TV laminated guide was sticky and was very gross to pick up. I ended up washing it off myself. But, aside that, the room was well kept, very spacious! All rooms are supposedly non smoking. My room did not smell like smoke thankfully (asthma) however the entire outside smelled very badly of smoke. As for safety, I felt pretty safe in this location. It's not located in a heavy traffic area so that was super pleasant. I also think the areas to walk pets was very clean/ I didnt have to worry about stepping in anything thanks to the complimentary pet bags. Overall, I think for the price it is a clean and safe place, which in my opinion is most important. Also if you have pets, there is no pet deposit which is also a bonus since my dog always travels with me.

Apalled is all I could say when I left here. I didn't personally stay at this hotel and there's no way I would have after seeing it in person. One of my best friends is getting married and was planning to stay with us for one night, as she was traveling through to New York for the wedding. Unfortunately, my husband was sick and she didn't want to risk catching anything just before her wedding. We (foolishly) recommended Red Roof, because it's where we normally stay when traveling. We have stayed at one in Ohio and one in Tennessee and loved it. It's our "go to" hotel because they are pet friendly AND they don't charge a fee for pets. My friend, like us, has two dogs so we were thinking Red Roof was the perfect solution to this unplanned mess. I met her there to help her carry her dress and belongings inside. The first thing that upset me was the location and look of the hotel. Sketchy is the best way to describe both. The next thing that upset me was as we tried to enter the lobby, the receptionist yelled at us saying dogs weren't allowed in the lobby. In Ohio, my pup strutted his stuff all over their lobby. For a pet friendly hotel, I found this aggravating but not the end of the world. The room was the final straw. There was a dead spider and human hair in the bathroom and paint was peeling on the boards above the TV. It looked awful. We went to dinner and when we came back to the room, a HUGE cockroach ran across the bathroom floor.

Supposed non smoking rooms smell like smoke. At least we were able to move to a room that didn't. Good prices.

I would rate a zero if possible. This place is absolutely the most Disgusting, Mis managed place I have ever stayed. Checked in on a Friday and by Saturday my card had three different pending charges of over 600.00. Went and asked front desk if they could explain and of course they could not, told me a manager would have to look into it (which just so happen to never show up the three nights we stayed). We decided to see the City of Greenville on Sunday only to come back to find our room had been went through, my sons wallet was stolen along with my change on the dresser, they stole over 140.00 dollars from us. Of course I was furious, went back to the front desk to find out who cleaned our room, only to be told no one cleaned your room (of course my room was the only one to not be cleaned) seems kinda Suspicious to me. Was told a manger would contact me right away, still hasn’t happened it’s been over three weeks now. Having to leave on Monday morning, we checked out only to drive 8 hours and have my bank account notify me I had been charged an additional 308.00 on top of the other charges, that’s right around 900.00 dollars for a 250.00 stay. Contacted red roof inn Corporate only to find out that they are not Affiliated with the Greenville SC red roof and it’s privately owned. MORE FANTASTIC NEWS! Contacted my bank and they are currently fighting them for the money the took from my account.

Checked in to pee on the floor and all over the toilet, pubic hairs in the tub and such a dirty floor, we had to clean it all ourselves as they were sold out with no other rooms available. The staff did take care of us and that's the only reason for two stars. It would be zero otherwise. The room was not even close to pictures and it was falling apart in many areas. It was obvious no attempt was made to clean the bathroom at all. That is scary thing me. I do appreciate the refund and the manager being nice. It helped make it better.

Nice location! Front desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The property is clean and very well lit at night. The rooms could use a little update and maybe a fresh coat of paint but overall my stay was good. A little disappointed that they do not serve breakfast, but I guess you can't have all your egss in one basket.

Decent for the price for what's in the area, location is nice, but outside maintenance is needed and house keeping could have do a little better of a job. I checked in at 7p. M, I saw 1 housekeeper working alone which could explain the rush job cleaning. You get what you pay for, it was convenient for me as I was just passing through Greenville. Overall I've been in much worse hotels this hotel is a 3-star Hotel at best. Again I must say I recognize the efforts of maintenance and housekeeping.

I stay at a lot of red roof inns as they overall are my favorite budget hotel chain. This one comes with some issues. Overall the hotel looks to be updated nice and more modern than some. Lady at check in was unfriendly. Room overall seem to be clean except for bathroom which was very poor. Molding falling off and hair everywhere. I would not stay at this one again.

I stayed at the red roof in this month. Three different rooms three different days. Their pet policy is pretty legit. I had 2 large dogs so that was a plus. Bathroom walls were dirty. Boogers and hair on the walls. There was only a thin cloth shower curtain so it was very hard to not soak the bathroom floor during our showers. Last but not least there was some sort of bug/bugs that bit me up while sleeping. I checked for signs of bedbugs before hand and hadn't seen any but still got bit up and have pretty large welts. Probably won't stay there again unless it's emergency. You do get what you pay for though. Staff was super nice.

The room was clean looked like new bedding on the beds and they have a bigger TV then the use to have and they still allow you to have your pet stay in the room with you and that's a plus when you travel with your pets so many motels don't allow pets or charge an outrageous deposit that you don't get back if you pet doesn't ruin anything.

You definitely get what you pay for. The staff were friendly and the location is great. Unfortunately the room was not what I was expecting. It smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. The floor was sticky and there were very few pillows and blankets. I was just sketchy in general, but seemed about right for the price.

If I could give a negative star I would… I had to lean the tub before we were able to shower in it… The sheet have never been changed… The shower curtain had filth on it… Hair from previous guest on floor… As if it had never been swept at all… looked like boogers on walls and bathroom door… Smelled of chemicals when we walked in… I guess they sprayed the air real quick and walked out… Smh… Just paid 100 for the room and I am pissed.

There were bugs in the room and all over the windows. For a king size sweet there wasn't even any kind of fridge to put food in. I high recommend staying somewhere else if you are looking to stay in this area. It was also a very sketchy inn.

I've stayed here quite a few times. All of my experiences have been good. I had a small problem with a room once. They moved me quickly and into an upgraded room. Nice clean rooms.

Proximity to I-85 is definitely keeping this property in business. It's a hot deal if your only other option is to sleep in your car. They don't offer a complimentary breakfast but coffee is available in the lobby. It is supposed to be a non-smoking property but there were burn holes on the linen. You will get what you pay for. The groundskeeper must be off for the season bc the parking lot is trashed. I really hope all Red Roof Inns are not like this one. Also, my family could not reach me by the landlines phone in the room after my phone died.

Nice property and rooms. Very comfortable stay over all. Only downside to this particular location is there are long term residents as well. So it's half hotel half apartment complex. It made for a rather interesting stay during the evening hours.

The location is good right off the highway. However, there seemed to be some scetchy sort of guests staying there. Cars in and out all night at the restaurant is m next to mine. All sorts of unwanted traffic.

1) The photos online were photoshopped to look cleaner and bigger 2) They promised a coffee maker in our "deluxe suite:" There was no coffee maker 3) We could not get our door open and had to call on a maintenance man to open it: When it finally budged, a spider came to greet us 4) Sheets were stained and we were too afraid to sleep on them because we couldn't tell if they were clean or not: We had to go to a walmart to get pillows and blankets 5) The tub had a drainage problem and the toilet was very dirty, chipped, and stained 6) The outside of the rooms reek of urine 7) One of our lights was out and was never replaced 8) An entire wall outlet ceased working, and when we asked, we were told nobody could fix it. Therefore, we could not use our hair dryer. 9) A woman came to "clean" our rooms when we were gone: We came back to find our garbage not taken out. Our beds were made, but the television had been switched on. Do yourself a favor and stay in a nice hotel. This was a complete dump. It was dirty and unsafe. Also: Floors were absolutely disgusting, looked like they had never been cleaned. We refused to walk barefoot, or even with socks, on this floor: Wore shoes the whole time.

The location was convenient. Being close to Greenville without being in the city. As well as close to the GVLX event sites. It fit the bill. And I was not disappointed. It's clean. And had everything I needed. That said. They do not have the complementary toiletries I am used to. But this aside. It has everything I needed.

This hotel is not the best to be honest. I do stay here frequently. Even though it's not the best place. This hotel can have the kind of guests to do want next door. The general manager is useless. However the night lady is pretty cool. Always friendly great personality. I only stay here because she is nice and it's easier on the pocket.

This Red Roof Inn is definitely not as clean, nice, or as well maintained as the ones in Florida… the sheets were a little bit dirty and they didn't bring new towels/clothes everyday or wipe anything down and there was a rusty nail in my bathroom the whole time. The towels that they did have in there had some hair stuck to them. Don't expect hot and cold air either… The unit that's in there just blows cold air.

Great place to stay. Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Staff was friendly other than when I checked in the Lady was texting on her phone the whole time I was trying to check in and it slowed the process down tremendously.

Location is secluded and quiet which is nice. Room was clean but not a good room. Was non smoking and smelled of smoke and toilet flushed like it would get clogged and stopped up with just water. Bed is hard and pillows are too. I've stayed in worse for the price but, have stayed in better for the price too.

This plase sucks they wont even let you talk to the mananger I would nt rocomend yall to stayy bad service.

Room is updated and exceptional. Very clean. Comfortable bed. My only issue was that check in was extremely slow. Shouldn't have taken almost 20 minutes.

Why is there no negative star scale when you need it? This place is a joke. Thought surely the place couldn't be as bad as the reviews say. Here from Atlanta working. Got here at 430, 1 of 2 rooms not ready yet. No biggie. Left to eat. Returned an hour later and told all was good. Got key and headed to my room only to find "housekeeping" cleaning it. Another 20 minutes and we were in. Not for long. One look around and I drove back to Atlanta for the night. Reserved a room for some other guys yesterday. They arrived to find beer and soda cans everywhere, food crammed in microwave and bugs on bed and in bathroom (don't know what type, didn't ask) and got attitude when they complained. They got there late and had had a few so they slept in their truck. This place its a joke and shame on the owners for allowing it to be this bad. Ridiculous.

Nice, quiet, off the beaten path. Shower wasn't great, but usable. Overall a good place.

The hotel its self wasn't bad. But when I was getting ready to head out to go eat in the morning. The hotel right under me had no glass and the other one had a hole in it. To find out at 2am in the morning there was gun shots, cops and yellow tape. I didn't hear a thing I guess I was just that tired. But thats not the point I have 2 little girls not a place I want to stay if thats what goes on there. It couldve been worst then what it was, they could've been shooting everywhere instead of through a window. And I was the room right above them. And to top things off they cracked my windshield. My car was parked in front of both rooms. Not a place to go if you have a family, or care about your life.

Awful. The rooms were messy when I came in. The clerks in the lobby were rude and disrespectful. They were inconsistent on cleaning my room each day and when they did, they did an awful job. Didn't take garbage, bed was messy and while they took my dirty towels they never replaced them. Awful experience. I hope they do something to correct this.

Right off the highway go for a rest during a long road trip, the room was clean, bed was comfortable only problem was the heat didn't work in our room but overall would stay there again.

Room was very reasonably priced and always clean and neat great TV channels to I travel alot for work and so motels have a poor TV section theirs was great.

I stay at this Red Roof frequently. This location fits my needs perfectly. It is central to the places I need to be, the price is moderate and the rooms are adequate. I never waste money on the more expensive places because I don't require all the coddling and babying. I just need a clean room, comfy bed, good AC and TV… bam… it's there. If I needed that validation for a simple nights stay I would choose and pay accordingly. Any issues have been corrected without hesitation by either offering another room or fixing the problem. My biggest complaint is getting that safe charge every time.

Nothing booked room at this location one room as soon as I turned on light roaches ran for cover. Checked my other room due to mix reviews on site after pulling back several fitted sheets found a spot on bed that appeared to be dried blood stains on matress cover this occurred on 7/18/15 check room Carell appeared clean smelled good but don't trust.

I did not stay… because of these reviews. I called the front desk and a lady named Meeka was working, she was VERY rude and kept trying to charge me more. Staff needs to be changed or upgraded…

First the lady a front dest was the rudes person name meka I stay there for 2weeks paying different rates every day they changed only when the one woman works. Don't really understand but all other employees were great ir was just the meka and she's the management woe something has to b done. She's not a people persin she needs to b cleaning not dealing with costumers. Other than her it was great. Prices went from 50 65 she even told me eighty one day and the rooms are definitely not worth that I'm taking my business up the street were they show appreciation.

There's a few things in the room that are not fixed correctly, the way you expect from Redroof Inn quality rooms. The shower head has a ladies stocking around it to apparently seal a leak, for instance, but a lot of the decor seems newly renovated with wood floors and fresh paint. There is even an updated LG Flat Panel TV. Free Internet access was advised; however, I was disappointed that information about it was neither offered at check-in nor provided in the room. Overall, a great experience for the money.

I wish I could give it a half star. The first time was okay, the second time in front of my room smelled like pre and had used condoms and condom box's then the third time the air conditioner in my room was leaking water and then there was a big ass water bug. Never again.

The man on the front desk was very RUDE. Room was extremely noisy. People in and out all night long. Not enough electrical outlets in room for use of laptops, cell phones, etc. The pillows were very thin and USELESS. Not a good experience at all. There are plenty of hotels to choose from on the next exit that would appreciate your business. I did not feel safe here.

Rude front desk person. Room wasn't cleaned when we got there at 8 pm. I stay in a lot of red roofs through out the US and this one is horrible! Dirty rooms and bad smells. Fleas and possibly bed bugs.

Upon checking in we were told if you want a fridge, pay extra, ok no big deal right. So we get our room, the TV played only half a picture, some channels had high pitch tone, the shower curtain was black from mold, and if you looked up at ceiling, it was falling down in multiple places (at least a dozen areas). My husband went to front desk to complain about TV and asked for a different room, on his way out door, the lock was stuck and he couldnt get door closed. So he goes to front desk told the guy what was up and he just laughed and said all the rooms TV is like that, he could do nothing for us and as far as door lock there was a secret to getting it to disengage. Very very disappointed in the stay needless to say we will not be going back there. The room itself looked and smelled clean, so if you are only interested in passing out not the appearance of the room, knock yourself out! For what we pay, we should at least have a properly malfunctioning TV with channels! Sept 2012.
