So far so good. Clean room. Nice furnishings! The pool is closed. Which is sad. But nice place for the price.

Everytime I stayed here I loved it & I love the upgrade they've done! But the highlight is when I pass by there everyday on my way to work the positive messages on the board of the sign. I love seeing what they put just to see if it uplift my spirit that morning! Good Job HoJo.

Pretty bad place to stay if you're not used to crappy disgusting cheesy bathrooms with a gross old dirty shower curtain that didn't close on either end. Rusty shower rod. Wallpaper if you can call stuff that looks filthy that was probably glued to the wall with Children's Paper Glue-coming off the wall. So small the toilet is right up against the shower curtain. Water goes on the wall and floor. I think it hasn't been upgraded since — uh never — 1959? Nice people at front desk though. Bed was ok and good pillows-The only reason this got any stars. Wont be back. I didn't take any pics cause my camera would have broken!

ROACH MOTEL! Run away as fast as you can! This motel is nasty & has a funny odor. Like mildew. No irons on the rooms. I had to wait 2 hours for the owner to go across the street to Walmart to purchase an iron. The staff in the office are rude. There is this one guy, he’s obese. He sits in the chair all day barking at customers. Not to mention they charged my card for days I didn’t stay. They say I left something in the room so they charged my card. This is why I stick to Hilton Properties! It’s a lot of sketchy people around here also. If you can afford to stay somewhere else please do so. You will regret it if you stay here.

Amazing service, affordable rates.

No! Do not stay here unless you have illegal intentions. Reserved a room close to a social event so I wouldn't have to drive home. Placed in the rear of the hotel, where someone was waiting when I returned. After being assaulted and robbed, the hotel has not been able to help. Can't release the video surveillance because the owners are out of town. Stay at your own risk!

Place in nice and clean. Customer service was excellent.

Although a bit on the small side, the rooms were very clean. They're also very fairly priced. Finally, I feel it's important to mention the stuff. They were extremely friendly and answered a couple questions I had in regards to places to eat nearby.

Nice inexpensive motel to stay in close to about everything.

The room smelled a little bit of smoke. Over all we were comfortable. They had a very basic continental breakfast, coffee, cereals, waffles, donuts, pastries, juice, and milk.

Best bed I've ever slept on…

Overall not a bad experience. The rooms are dated but that's too be expected for the price. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. It's also located in a seemingly safe area with access to about anything you'd need during your stay. If you need a cheap option but still want to feel safe, stay here.

It was easy and quick to check in. The front desk is very helpful. There isn't a lot around the hotel but the TV was really nice and big. The downside was the picture was a little fuzzy. The Wi-Fi was quick and worked very well. For the value the room was really nice and included a safe which was very cool. I enjoyed my stay at the hojo.

It is Nasty and smelly, I had to use a towel with deodorant to be able to sleep. Hope never have to go back!

This hotel needs a better more friendly staff. The price isn't bad and the price match the rooms anywhere thats only $50 a night you don't expect much. I do expect to be treated like a wanted guests and not an inconvenience like the the big lady at the front desk made me feel. She was rude and not very friendly as she yelled from her chair behind the counter that we couldn't take our food back to our room which is unheard of cause even in rooms were u pay $100 a night u are not restricted to jus the dining area. I asked for towels an they wouldn't give me fresh ones until I gave them the old ones and tld me they don't give extra towels. I probably wont be back there are too many nice hotels on this strip for me to come to the cheapest one and be treated the worse I will definitely go with quality over quantity next time.

Location is good, but cleanliness could be better.

It's old and outdated. The rooms are falling apart. The beds are lumpy. Our room doesn't even have a TV remote. It's reasonably clean but not very comfortable.

Average rooms. Upgraded to the hot tub, that was nice.

I have stayed at this motel many times and I have to say it is the best value I have found in Aiken, SC. The staff is always friendly, the rooms are always adequate, and the location is excellent. For those of you that want a quality stay. At an affordable price. Do not hesitate to stay at Howard Johnson. You will be glad you did.

I would give it "0" stars but for me to write this I have to give it one I stayed in yhe most expensive room they had 309 hot tub and all and still woke up with bed bug bites all over my side arm and back so when j called to tell them what had happen she told me iam crazy and the bed was brand new and she hung up on me not to mention there were stains all over the mattress and when j looked under the bed that morning I saw not 1 not 2 but 3 big roaches and some small ones running so it was not new I would bulldoze this place if I had it my way she was very ignorant and could care less iam always intown I will never stay here again.

I just want to say this is the worst motel to stay at in aiken. I have stayed here numerous times. The prices are too high for way the rooms are! I stayed in one room that smelled like cats and they pretty much called me a liar! then my purse was stolen and they would not look at the camera to see who stole it! they charge right at $70 for their rooms and they all stink! there was pubic hair in the bath tub and a dirt ring all around the tub! also, when they came around to get my dirty towels I had to wait until after 5 pm to get clean ones but went to the office myself to get them! the woman in the office has a nasty attitude! I will never stay at this motel again! i'll be spending my money at the quality! it's way nicer and only $2 more per night.

Worse 2 day stay myself and employes ever had. On Sunday morning at 400am a bunch or drunkens or check in right above me and right next to one of my employees they made so much noise going in and out of their room at 430am no one could sleep. The front desk did nothing about. They kept trying to get into my employee room thru the door between the 2 rooms. Finally he left the room at 600am and stay in the lobby till we left.

Great hotel, so close to almost every fast food and restaurant in Aiken. Highly recommend with a great staff.

Good Stay. Clean Rooms. Cheap Price. Great Service.

Great place to unwind, service could be better but other than that it gets thumbs up:-).
