We live in TN but we have grandchildren that live in York, PA so we stay at this hotel at least 2 times a year and have been doing this for several years now. At this point it's almost like coming home! The staff are always very nice and helpful. They remember us and the grandkids. The hotel is very clean. All the rooms are nice and have a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast is also wonderful big meal. It's also dog friendly, they even take BIG dogs. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is but I truly suggest you need to find out for yourself!

The Holiday Inn York is exactly what you would expect for a mid-tier chain hotel. The rooms are comfortable though perhaps a little dated. My room had a bit of a musty smell but I soon got used to it. Everything was clean and in good repair. The rooms on the first floor get a fair amount of noise from the lobby so if you're a light sleeper You may wish to ask for a room on a higher floor. All in all for the price this room was adequate.

I am staying here right now while it is a very nice and comfortable place I do have one major complaint. When it was booked by my company, they and I was not informed that there was a daily hold on my own card for amenities. I talked to the manager and she was very helpful but couldn't do as anything about it. I even called the 800 number but they couldn't do anything. I have never been charged before and was caught off guard.

Loved every minute cleaning staff does a amazing job of keeping tue rooms clean.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. They switched our king size bed to a double queen no questions asked. Great prices. Complimentary breakfast every morning. Overall nice place to stay.

I had terrible experience trying to book a room and I got a woman by the name Olivia. From the beginning of the phone call to the end she was so unprofessional, rude, and had no customer service skills whatsoever. I expected a person with a friendly voice you know like the ones who are willing to help you any which way. But unfortunately I got OLIVIA. She should be out of the hotel businesse quickly with her attitude.

Front desk is loud, I had to endure the front desk agent complaining about her co-worker Kristen to anyone who would listen. I feel this is unfair to Kristen that her co-workers would throw her under the bus. Advice to management please your customers do not want to hear your staff retaliation against each other.

Holiday Inn has stopped the perks for being an IHG member, like the bottles of water and cookies. Pretty cheap of them. Since the breakfast is nothing to write home about I don't think I'll stay at Holiday Inn again unless it's the most affordable option.

I’m not from PA came up for a weekend to get away and enjoy Spooky Nook festivities. I was tired from my drive I had all my bags but happened to forget my shoe box down stairs in the lobby when I noticed I did not have my box I came to search for them. I asked the hotel desk clerk Anita if she saw them she seemed very concerned and was very helpful however the house keeper a heavy set Caucasian woman with glasses happened to notice my shoes but did not pick them up and put them up knowing they were mine that I left. I’m upset because they had sentimental value word of advice if a guest leaves something have a lost in found regardless to what your policy says you’re not responsible for!

It is a holiday inn. Exactly that. Clean, comfortable, breakfast is decent. Actually, pancakes were huge…

Good in the rooms are nice the beds are comfortable the bathroom cleaning is ok I didn't see it dirty or with anything strange and very good attention the simple but good breakfast.

I've stayed here many times. It is no frills, but comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. The staff is wonderful. Breakfast is ok.

Convienent location, pleasant staff and very clean.

Visited on a quiet weekday night. Check in service was great and room was clean and well appointed. The only issue is that the shower was slow to drain. Breakfast was good and check out went smoothly.

Always a comfortable stay! We've been staying there since I started at York College in 2013. Stayed there for move in day weekend, and most recent stay was for graduation. Glad we chose to stay there.

This was the 2nd time my family & I (along with my 12yr old dog) stayed at The Holiday Inn Express & Suites York over a "holiday weekend" & we couldn't be more pleased with all aspects of our time there. We will absolutely be going back in the future. Everything from the friendly, professional service at the Front Desk down to the cozy beds & pillows has always been top-notch. Great work to all those that keep the place running, especially on holidays. Some of us know what it's like giving up our holidays to have to work & those of us that do REALLY appreciate your sacrifice. All our thanks & appreciation to the staff at The H. I. Express in York! Love all holiday in bed and breakfast, as of January '17 had cockroaches. Handled the situation well after being informed but made initial bad decisions placing us in that part of the building knowing they were having problems.

Room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The room was very clean. The staff was very helpful and nice. The complimentary breakfast was very good and a lot of choices.

Room was decent. A little small. Beds were pretty comfortable. Disappointed with the cable. We couldn't get too many channels and it was having a hard time picking up signal. We wished there were better curtains on the window being that we were on the first floor.

This a an aging property in need of (and I believe currently getting) a facelift. Otherwise it is a pretty standard HIE, nothing special but nothing wrong, either. My only real qualm is one that they really can't do much about: it's location is on the downside of a steep hill — — so steep that it is difficult to see the hotel from the main road that runs next to it. The location also resulted in a weird parking arrangement, in which there are only a handful of spots near the front door, and the others in two tiers in the back. Bottom line is if you arrive at the hotel after dinner, you're in for a long-ish walk from your car.

Nice facility tucked in a very nice spot off the highway. There's on-sight self laundry service for a very good rate. Breakfast is good, typical Holiday inn breakfast. Clean, recent TV channels. Hotel staff are helpful and nice. There's a very nice picturesque spot next to the hotel.

Well it's nice. A bit of an old feel to it but has everything you need. No complaints overall and would recommend.

This is one of the better hotels in York. The room was clean and modern. The king bed was soft comfortable, clean sheets. Breakfast was one of the better breakfasts I've had from hotels. Hot eggs, sausage, ham and my favorite their cinnamon rolls! Fresh coffee and some cold items. The eating area was even a nice restraunt feel. The staff was kind and friendly, they even provided some forgotten toiletrie items. I will stay again!

We stayed here as a team for a volleyball tournament. In the night, the power went out, men were running around in the hallways in the dark. The hotel has no backup generator. Not only that, but the staff made no attempts to organize a chaotic situation in the lobby, no announcements to the people in the hallways. The power eventually came back on, and we went to sleep. The following morning, we awoke to a receipt that seemed to comp our rooms for the previous night, which we thought was great! Only when we went to check out, they told us the receipts were printed and slipped under EVERY HOTEL GUESTS DOOR in error, and that they would be charging us full. I asked why, and they said it was not their fault that the power went out. Blaming guests and charging for them for poor oversights in design?! I do not tolerate that. Would not recommend. Next time, honor the receipts that you slip under the doors! Also, separate issue with bathtub not draining in our room went unadressed.

It is a great hotel. Great location. Good breakfast. Little pricey. Holiday Inn Express. York PA.

I really can't say enough good things about this hotel. This was our first stay. The location itself is very convenient. Nice building, rooms, etc. Nice outdoor pool. The thing that REALLY makes this place is the staff though. We stayed for several days and they all felt like family by the end. I had more than one occasion where I was at the opposite end of the hallway from the elevator and one of the maids held the elevator door for us until we got all the way to the the other end! I hope we have a reason to come back here one day!

Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, and very nice service. Sheets were cleaned before we came and the location was convenient because it was near the tennis center and by restaurants.

We looked and looked for a hotel that was close to our wedding venue, allow pets and was reasonably priced — not an easy task! We found the Holiday Inn and couldn't be happier with everything. Throughout the process of booking, blocking off rooms and everything, I dealt with Barbara, the Regional Manager and Tanya, one of the hotel managers. I could not have had better service. I dealt mostly with Barbara and she was fantastic, accommodating, helpful and quite funny! I had bumps pop up along the way, but she took the stress right out of it! I can't say enough good things about her! The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff was great, the food was tasty and it was so convenient to many things in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone and if it's needed again, we would stay again.

Very nice accommodations! Good breakfast, nice rooms. King bed for us and fold out couch for the kids, super comfortable. And a hotel with plenty of receptacles, who knew that even existed! Great stay.

A great place to stay with your family! We arrived to our Holiday Inn location to be greeted by a friendly and courteous staff. Our rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. A delicious hot breakfast served every morning. Free Wi-Fi, always a plus. Location was definitely key as well because we intended on doing some local day trips. We enjoyed rollerskating, visited Lancaster and enjoyed a holiday experience at Hershey Park Wonderland. It was indeed a pleasant stay and the service was excellent. And before we checked out, to our surprise Santa Claus had stopped by and left a coloring book and crayons for my 3yr old daughter! Definitely a place we recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Oct 2013: Arrived to assist ill brother who had been there 1 nite. Staff went above and beyond (lending phone charger, for example). None ever complained or seemed put out. One even helped us load him in SUV. Clean rooms, hot buffet breakfast (slight overcook bacon and eggs, dry biscuits, other options: yogurt, fruit, pastries) coffee not great, but good and they served 1/2&1/2 :).

The staff was warm, courteous, and very accommodating! Due to unforeseen changes in my schedule, I was allowed to check-in at 9am and not wait until the standard 3pm! Thank you Holiday Inn.

My husband and I travel alot, so we have stayed in alot of hotels, this one is excellent, we broke down and didnt have a reservation, staff was great, extra clean rooms, the breakfast was real food not just donuts and coffee, I would highly recommend to anyone, you wont be disappointed. karen from Va.
