Review of Residence Inn Scranton 3*

Do NOT stay here! Absolutely disgusting. They should be ashamed to be a part of the Marriott brand. Had a nightmare of situation. After traveling hours to get there. We get our room which has a strong smoke/musk smell and right away I noticed little bugs flying all over the place. They were drain flys coming from the kitchen sink. The toilet had urine stains around it with some sort of liquid left on the top of the toilet and our remote had grime all over it. We had boogers on the wall and other foreign material on the light switches. We immediately went to the front desk and asked to check out and get a refund. This was around 7:30 pm, we were told that associate does not know have to do so and that we would have to wait till after 9:30 am to speak to manager (we were planing to leaving by 7 am). So we were offered another room that we were promised was clean. It was cleaner but still not clean. The second room had a used bar of soap in the shower with cut beard hairs all over the glass shelf and towels next to the shower sink. Inside the bed were three long curls hairs and next to the bed were some dead flys. On top of not being able to get a refund; they still charged me $10 for parking. Which keep in mind this is not in the city and they have plenty of parking so I’m not sure why they try to add on a $10 fee to their guest. Marriott guarantees safe stays during Covid-19, and they are not putting in the practice the procedures put into place. When I made this issue aware to the manager I was only offered a partial refund.
