My wedding was held at the Radisson August 13th 2022, everything was absolutely perfect from the minute I booked. Felicity sent reminders and helped me through the entire planning process, the day of Felicity was unable to be there but Ana and her team was, everything went so smoothly. They went above and beyond for us even finding lost items we misplaced when changing rooms, wrangling our guests so they could see us cut the cake and garter toss etc. Even having a team member help my parents who have a hard time walking get around safely. I could go on all day about all the little things they had done for us that they didn’t have to. Thank you everyone for making my wedding day perfect in every way!

I can’t say enough good things about all the staff here! Our wedding was beautiful and we were all very well taken care of by all! Thank you Felicity and everyone who helped make a memorable day for us!

Excellent several great food! We love going every year on Thanksgiving!

We have had good experiences here in the past, but this visit (2021) is different. Very small room, with the smallest bathroom I can remember ever seeing in a hotel. No towel racks. No room to turn around. Bathroom door doesn’t close. Wi-Fi irregular. HVAC system very loud. Dog barking in a nearby room. We’re here on business and don’t have time to wrangle with staff or demand a different room, but won’t stay here on our next trip to Scranton.

This place is awesome!. Very haunted!

Our room was dirty and falling apart. Huge wet puddle on our floor. After looking closer, part of our ceiling was falling down. I told the front desk but all they did was clean up the few chunks that had fallen — the wet floor remained. No new room or discount was offered. Definitely not worth the cost!

The rooms were nice, clean, and the room service was very convenient for me during my three day stay.

One of the most rudest front desk experience I have ever encountered! Hailey was so rude when my kids and I checked in. We stayed in room 315, hair everywhere in the bathroom, finger prints all over the window. The bathroom door was disgusting. Smallest t. V in the room. Just not what we expected specially for the price. We were so tired from the drive we just dealt with it. I think I left my makeup bag in the bathroom, took about an hour + for someone to answer the phone. Angelica answered, sleep. I asked if they had someone there 24/7 because I’d been calling. She stated oh we must’ve stepped away for a second. I replied an “HOUR”? Nothing of mine was turned in. So now house keeping is taking hotel guests personal belongings? Most Horrible experience.

Not only is this place absolutely stunning. The history, the nostalgia, the beauty, is breathtaking. The coolest hotel with the nicest people ever. The lady that checked us in was so sweet and her co-worker overheard us talking and congratulated us on our wedding 4 days ago! super nice ladies. You know the hotel is clean, awesome and beyond incredible when we call home and tell everyone and take picture to send. Tonight, when we got back to our room after dinner, there was a beautiful tray with wine, two glasses, two plates of chocolate cake, and a card at the end of our bed. I teared up! Such a beautiful gesture from the hotel and great way to celebrate night 4 of our honeymoon. We are on an East coast road trip through 9 states for 2 weeks! We are absolutely enjoying ourselves! 10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review at this place! Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel Scranton thank you!

The place was so beautiful I was in awe of all the history. The food was absolutely delicious. Elena our waitress was professional, attentive and friendly to my entire party.

The Radisson is a beautiful, historic hotel, but I do not reccomend staying there. The employees need to improve their customer service, listening, and communication skills.

For $350.00 a night, you would think they would clean the scum off the jacuzzi tub. Previous guests’ garbage was still in the trash can as well. Filthy property. The front desk staff did offer to send someone up to clean the body grease and scum out of the tub so we could use it.

Room was not as expected. Pictures online make it look more luxurious. For what we paid for we could have stayed at a cheaper hotel with better accommodations. Picture online is a king non smoking and this is what we got. Very disappointing.

When you walk in you can feel a sence of history in there. It's a Quant and comfortable place. Easy to get around and good shopping. Great yearly Jazz Festival.

Very nice rooms, especially for a older building, but no place to park. The parking lot was full, had to park around the corner in a sketchy lot, then climb 4 flights of wooden stairs, cross a active train track, make my way around the back of the dirty hotel, and finally back to the front door. I don’t think my parents could have done it. MAYBE they should think about valet service.

Customer service is horrible. The entire hotel has gone down hill. So sad.

They should honor their gift certificates even if they expire. A gift certificate is the same as cash. They shouldn't keep the money if no goods or services were provided. This is not a good business practice!

I absolutely adored this hotel! They have done a pretty decent job of sticking to the historical theme of the railroad station this hotel is repurposed from. The rooms aren't large but that's original. Three have obviously updated the rooms but they choose to keep historical decorative touches such as the none electrical thermostat, the turn lock on the door, the decorative pattern to the ceiling plaster. I think they have done a splendid job. Aside from the design, the stag was friendly, room was comfy, bed was perfectly firm and amenities were more than enough.

Tara at the front desk went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The suite was clean and well organized, we appreciate the small kitchen area. The building itself is a gem. It is very well located if you need to be in the downtown area Overall a great place to stay. There is coffee shop and restaurant on site and several others nearby. Shopping is close also.

The transformation of a historic train station into a hotel is a wonderful move. The space is grand. The central atrium has beautiful marble and art. It's a place to sit and relax. The hotel rooms themselves are plain. They're a little behind on maintenance — nothing major but some paint would help. The bathroom was small and the shower was old. But all perfectly functional. On balance, a fun place to see.

Beautiful hotel. Very friendly and efficient check-in. Large, clean room with a great charging station by each bed. Only slight glitch was that I called for room service breakfast, waited 45 minutes, and called to check on the hold-up. They did not write my room number and didn't know where to deliver! They apologized, brought up a fresh, hot tray a few minutes later, and did not charge us at all for the $35 meal. Everyone makes occasional mistakes. NOT everyone takes the opportunity to make things right.

This hotel gets a higher score for the old charm alone. Fantastic that have kept a lot of the buildings original details, both inside and out. Makes for a great stay. The rooms very clean. The rooms are up to date and modern with an old world charm. Thus, keeping with the hotel theme. The staff is on the needs work level. Some staff really cared and some staff truly should not be there. That is why in my opinion they did not earn a five stare.

This hotel was amazing. It’s a train station converted into a hotel. I should have taken pictures it was just beautiful! There are train tracks just behind the hotel. However, you could barely hear it go by. It was a beautiful experience without the nuance of it being too loud. The room was a little smaller than I expected but the mattress was so comfortable! The staff was pleasant and the pub food was great. I can’t wait to go back.

Fabulous hotel, the interior decor is a time capsule worth seeing, the staff is very accommodating, the food was first rate and very delicious, room was comfortable I would recommend this hotel too all and plan on returning soon.

Rating the restaurant for lunch — 4 star, breakfast — 2 star. Breakfast buffet is overpriced for what is offered. Saving grace is the omlette bar. Fresh fruit was scarce and had brown spots. Oatmeal was in a small container with small bowls. Make your own waffle, same set up that I saw in a Day's Inn. Lunch buffet IS worth the price. Wide selection and great food. Can't wait to try dinner!

This place was like finding treasure! The rich history, beautiful original stained glass ceiling and terrific food made it all a unique and relaxing experience. The staff was wonderful and efficient! It's not a matter of, "if I'm ever in the area I'll stay here". "I'm in the process of planning another trip just to stay there".

I visited because of The Office! You gotta stay at this gorgeous hotel, especially if you're a fan of The Office. It's within walking distance of multiple bars and the Scranton Iron Furnaces. A slightly further walk brings you to the Steamtown Mall and the Scranton Iron Furnaces. It was beautiful on the inside. And the staff were happy to chat and answer questions. Parking is tight, so watch out for that. The rooms were comfy and the showers were good. I can't wait to go back!

Scenic train rides are a thing of the past unfortunately. Relax and ride comfortably in a vintage coach does this still exist? History meets modern at the Lackawanna Train Station Radisson Hotel. Rooms with names like "Phoebe Snow" that's named after the old rail passenger line. Marble throughout the entire hotel from the boardroom to the bedrooms. The rooms are spacious, clean and simple elegant.

I went to the Radisson for a baby shower and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. The food was phenomenal and the hospitality it was very good. Everyone was polite and professional. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained.

Have stayed here twice and eaten dinner both times… Wonderful experience! Converted ornate train station takes you back to 1904 (? ) through beautiful marble main lobby, ticket office, decor, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Dine, and enjoy a leisurely and fantastic meal! The food at the main restaurant in the lobby is simply wonderful and the setting is idillic. There’s also less formal food and drink available in a nice large room that sits right along the train tracks. Quite a departure from the typical impersonal hotel experience! Explore this wonderful building! Located just off I-81, this is a perfect stop along many of our family trips. Rooms are inexpensive and large, with all modern amenities. You’ll be glad you visited!

Everything about this place is riddled with history and beauty of the rail industry. The doors have the original glass from when it was a station. Walking in the there is a Tiffany glass roof. Everything there is beautiful. If you have someone phobia a train buff or a kid who loves trains, stay here the trains of steam town as well as the local trains are right outside. I loved every minute I was there. I wish I could have stayed longer. Just ask anyone about the history of the building they will gladly tell you everything you could ever want to know about this fabulous hotel.

We found this lovey hotel on our trip to Virginia. The staff was exceptional. Damien at the front desk was helpful and Barbara and Maria made great recommendations in the restaurant. Worth a stop just to see this piece of history.

The hotel is wonderful, one of the nicest I've ever stayed at, with great rooms and a nice overall atnosphere. I did not have the opportunity to take advantage of most of the hotel's amenities, but I still enjoyed my stay a lot. My only issue with the hotel is that the breakfast there is a bit ludicrous. There are two main options for in-house breakfast, the buffet or room service. The latter featured a meal of 2 eggs, toast, 3 pieces of bacon, home fries, and a glass of orange juice for $18.00. That is never worth it, and that did not include room service charges on top of it. The buffet seemed more reasonable, but only slightly so. You could get as much as you wanted, but you still have to pay $15.00 for it. I wish I'd seen that amenity before ordering breakfast. TL;DR: This is a fantastic hotel that you should definitely stay at, just walk over to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast.

The Radisson Lackawanna is centrally located in the small town of Scranton. The hotel is a train station that was remodeled. Much of the Architectura and original details are still maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and beverage options at the Trax are great. The annotation is large with very high ceiling and simple decoration. I would stay here in the future.

Bar is great! All the bartenders are awesome. Rooms are cool and the place is an old train station.

Beautiful room and I got a great deal. Parking was the only gripe I had, but they still had parking so I guess beggars can't be chooser. The room was huge and spacious which made it easy to relax. The thermostat worked great and heated up the room quickly. The room also had no 'hotel smell' which was nice. Hotel staff was pleasant. We only stayed one night though. Close walk to a small town with a couple eateries and bars. Would stay here again if went to Scranton.

Clean and spacious rooms. Have been coming here for our anniversary for about six years. The history of the hotel is wonderful and the staff are truly the best!

Just checked out and I have to say the hotel is very nice but once in the room we found no shower curtain. We called to get one well no curtain called again and told owell everyone went home had to call again next morning no curtain until 9:30. Then a knock on the door to clean the room. I’m not a person to complain but this one got under my skin. Customer service out the window. Left foot downtown know what the rights doing. Not going back.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was tight, but it was clean, and the shower had very hot water and was very relaxing. Checking in was fast and the express checkout was great. I would stay again!

No hotel in the area is better than the Radisson! It is in the best location, has fair prices, is absolutely stunning, and is representative of Scranton's historic. It is itself a historical building and was once a train station. The hotel rooms are lovely, but it is also a great place to go for brunch, and even has a great night spot, the Trax bar!

Went for a lunch gathering with friends. Service was excellent. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. The decors right now are festive :)

The service was fantastic for Christmas brunch. Most of the food was so good, the only item I did not like was the lobster bisque which was pretty substance-less, mostly just lobster flavored cream. Their salads and seafood spread we're both awesome.

Great food and service with beautiful decor and architecture. All food was delicious. After we ate we went up a floor of the hotel to admire the entirety of the dining area. Wonderful experience over all.

Located right next to university of Scranton campus, easily accessible from all sides. Recommend going to Kildares irish pub. Rooms are huge and well accommodated, with free bottles of water on your first night. Bathroom was cozy and well stocked Housekeeping had a strange schedule, but they always made sure we had towels.

Building is an historical gem. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room spacious and comfortable. Showers need serious updates, no safety grab bars for old people. Overall, an enjoyable hotel experience.

Beautiful historic train station turned hotel. Beautiful the moment you walk in. Rooms are a little old as can be expected for a remoldelded train station but I have been to worse. The staff however were exceptional. Very polite and friendly and willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The bar was amazing as well. Bartender extremely friendly and polite. I would defidently stay here again. If you love the historic feel then check this place out! If your a nit picker… Maybe you should find another place. For me this place was one of my favorites.

The hotel is in an interesting location, being a former train station. The staff is very friendly, with an airport shuttle running regularly. There is a coffee shop and a full service restaurant. Wi-Fi speeds are good enough for streaming. The water is piping hot for showers.

Very cool concept for a hotel. Wasn't too expensive and the rooms were great. The coffee downstairs in the cafe was great too good job.

I attended a wedding reception at this hotel. The food was excellent and the wait staff was extremely efficient and personable. The location is excellent in relation to the Elm Park United Methodist Church where the wedding had taken place earlier in the day. The renovated train station adds a special touch for all.

Beautiful historic hotel with updated rooms. Lobby has amazing tile murals depicting route of the Lackawanna Railroad. Great breakfast value but not included in room rate. Room rate was excellent value. Walking distance to mall, Steamtown historic site, and restaurants. Try Terra Preta restaurant in historic Rex Theatre.

We had our wedding reception here 2 years ago and it was fantastic. Absolutely no complaints. Staff went above and beyond, and the food was spectacular. Many of our guests have told us it was the best wedding they've been to, and we have had a lot of weddings among our family and friends. Last night we stayed here for our anniversary. Over the last year they finished what they call a full renovation. Much of the room is different. Having been here before, I can see many things still the same. Still relatively small tv's from before, the showers are the same old worn out fixtures in small bathrooms, etc. The beds are new, and much better than the old worn out sleep numbers from before. The bed wasn't made well though, not a big deal. Overall the room is much better.

I was at the Radisson at Lackawanna Station today for a bridal shower, and it was beautiful and the food was fantastic. The staff was great. I live nearby and have been attending functions there for years and years. It's a beautiful historic venue and they do a great job.

Beautiful building right off a main highway. Very friendly staff. Stayed in a standard room with a full sized bed. Comfortable enough. Close to main St and tons of local shops. Fine dining right on site as well as tasty room service options of its own. A very nice hotel option.

Beautiful hotel. Only problem was the room got hot at night and pillows seemed to deflate. Food delicious. The server gave is his home made spices. Delicious. Very nice.

This hotel is one of those places you have to visit! Neoclassical design is evident throughout the entire structure. The place is very clean neat organized the staff is very friendly the food is excellent what more could you ask for? Oh you might ask for a really nice room well you would get it. I will come here again to history of the building is enough to draw me they've done a wonderful job you must visit!

Well, I will start with the positive. The Trax Bar and Lounge had great snacks at reasonable prices, especially the humongous soft pretzel. Our server, Kelsey was top-notch, always there when you needed a drink or a snack. In fact, all of the food and beverage people were wonderful. Now for the other side of the coin. This place is very poorly managed. The young lady at the desk seemed to have no clue what was going on. She double charged my cousin's credit card. She was already stressed out, as her only son was getting married. The website advertised that they had reclining beds. When asked about them, we were told that they had not had them for over a year, which is fine, but get it off the website. The king size bed had twin size pillows. When asked for the correct pillows, we were told they had no more. In addition, the curtains in the room do not close, so the sun glared on the television. When I called about this, I was put on hold and the same clueless girl never came back to the phone. I went to the desk and was told that the curtains did not close, so I mooned the parking lot. And speaking of parking, we were charged a $5.00 fee to park on the parking lot, but there were no parking places at all to park. And the kicker, you had to flush the toilet five or six times for the waste to go down. Would I go back again? Only if I absolutely had to do so. I only gave this mismanaged joint two stars because of Kelsey, our server.

We stayed in the Lackawanna for 2 nights. We ate at Carmen's a few times and we met the hardworking but very gregarious Barb. She was amazing! Attentive to our every need, funny, helpful and answered every question about the hotel's history without making us feel she needed to attend to other duties. Others in the hospitality business could learn a lot from her. Amazing. The disappointmenthe and reason for the 4 stars was the room. While upgrades and refreshed, the sheets were all too small for the bed and didn'the remain tucked in so that by moring, we awoke sleeping on the mattress with the sheets balled up in the middle. Trivial? Maybe but it sure defeats a good night's sleep.

Rooms were modern and clean. Loved the old historical landmark theme of the hotel. Front desk people were very helpful and polite. Even had a bell man at the front door.

In the middle of a renovation. Rooms were half done. Elevators were slow or non functional. Staff at the wedding was phenomenal. Beautiful lobby.

Excellent location! Nice-sized rooms with great views from either side of the hotel. Nice charm to the place. Free Wi-Fi also, so that's a bonus!

The mother's day brunch was pricey but the food was great. Service was outstanding. Some complications when we got there with some people ahead of us, which extended our wait to be seated even though we had reservations. The hotel looks beautiful and can't waitto see all the renovations.

Though I wish I could've explored the hotel more, I loved what I did have a chance to see. This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Words really can't describe it anyway. As far as breakfast, the pancakes are delicious, but the pork sausage tastes funny. And the staff is very pleasant. The concierge made such a great impression that she convinced me join the rewards program, though I didn't need much convincing. Joining the program gave me $5 off my breakfast.

What a beautiful place. Full of history and charm. Food was outstanding and service was out of this world. We left with a wonderful group of new friends.

We've been here 11 months ago. We attended my daughters swim meet which held in Scranton High School. The hotel offered us a free car service and the management are all wonderful. I love the big hot tub in our room and the buffet is awesome. We will be back this coming Valentines day.

We retained a design firm that has great history converting historic properties into boutique hotels and look forward to showcasing our improvements to all. This week WNEP TV16 and The Scranton Times both showcased our rooms nearing completion. Our grand unveiling will be in February!

Ok so in my 28 years of making beds and working in hotels … I have never seen a messer bed … not sure who made it but who ever did you should be ashamed… It looks like someone is or was sleeping in it! For a new room to looks so nice and then to show a bed that looks like that! … The Radison Train station hotel should be ashamed of there personal that made that bed… My husband can make a nicer bed, My dad can make a nicer bed, my 12 year old can make a nicer bed. If your housekeeping needs bed training we can help them … Channel 16 should have never showed that bed in that state I would be a ashamed … As you should.

The Hotel is extremely beautiful with much history, however the Rooms, Amenities and the Services need a complete overhaul. Although Scranton is a one trick town (1870s to 1930), Scranton never recovered or had the leadership, vision or acumen to re-create itself. There is nothing in Scranton to see except a few historic buildings and their architecture. Traditional small town with small minds. The locals are about as sophisticated, opened minded and engaging as decomposing road-kill. For some odd reason Scranton prices are completely unrealistic and believes it's in the category of New York City, Chicago (where I'm from) and Los Angeles. For example, I had a few drinks at Trax Bar in the Hotel. I ordered (1) Guinness and (2) shots of Patron (Tequila) and received a charge of $23.00. I dam near choked. What perplexed me more was the cold looks, stares and service from the servers and bartenders. It appears if you not a local or a part of the Trax drinking click you are not welcomed. A few other items that turned my stay sour. The Hotel charges $5.00 per day Parking? The parking lot is empty and the Hotel should be grateful for the business of out-of-towners. No laundry, no hot tub, Wi-Fi is horrible requiring multiple logins in order to function, the Rooms lack furniture, lack cleaning and are extremely cold. Old heaters installed in rooms that are noisy especially when the heater kicks-on, it's loud as a landing Boeing 747.

The location was convenient but the building was difficult to navigate. The room was comfortable and the bed we slept in didn't satisfy either of us (too soft for her and too firm for me). Otherwise, it was a unique local and the staff was friendly.

I am in agreement with most negative reviews. The airport van driver was not friendly from the start. The bartender was generally below average and uninterested. The rooms are old and musty. This is really a Radisson?

I had a very good experience years ago, 2002. But, when I tried to reserve a room two weeks ago, early August 2015, the room rates seemed to fluctuate according to who I spoke to. $188 per night, I felt was exorbitant. AND, that was AARP rates to boot. It also was difficult to impossible to get a straight answer from a number of booking agencies on line for the same room. Consequently, I booked a room, very near by, at almost half the price, from another nationally known provider. What a shame! As a railroad enthusiast, I was so looking forward to staying again, at the Radison Lackawanna Station Hotel. That being said, I still don't like to be gouged.

Historic old building in need of renovation. Wall paper pealing off the wall in my room. No mini fridge or microwave. Lunch buffet was fantastic.

I recently attended my granddaughter's wedding reception in the Grand Lobby at the Radisson. From the moment we arrived the service was 5 star. The doorman assisted us in getting a walker out of the trunk and escorted the guest up the ramp. Special mention to our server Brittany who was friendly and efficient throughout the evening. Another server deserving special mention is Carol. She was particularly kind and attentive to a guest with some physical limitations. Mary, the Banquet Manager, maintained a visible presence and was certainly a factor in everything running smoothly. Finally, my compliments to the chef/chefs. He/she/they put out about 120 filet mignons that melted in your mouth. Everyone raved about them. We spent two nights at the hotel and found the rooms clean and comfortable. I am thrilled to find that Scranton not only has an architectural gem in the Lackawanna Station but also an outstanding venue for entertaining.

Wonderful experience. Yes, this is an old building, but it is beautiful and full of charm. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is the worse Radisson experience I've had. First, there was no parking, then we couldn't get into the restaurant because of a wedding going on. Then, we got to our room and it was awful. The shower drain was broken and hanging. The plastic shower enclosure had black "grout" (? ). The lamps were unplugged, The "sleep number" bed remote was broken, fixed with duck tape, and unplugged. But to top it all, the complimentary water bottle was USED. About 1/4 of the water was missing and the seal was broken. GROSS! The next morning, we got coffee at the lobby but could not sit anywhere to drink it because they were setting up for some event! NEVER AGAIN.

A beautiful historic building. What used to be a Railroad station in the early 1900s was made into a Hotel. Sitting in the Ballroom having breakfast made me feel set back in time. We stayed there because of the affiliation to the TV show "The Office". We had a hard time finding the actually entrance for the Reception of the Hotel which is on the back of the building. The staff was friendly and helpful and we liked the fact there is also a Starbucks located inside. With great expectations we went to our room just to be disappointed. There was a musky smell in the hallway and room. The room it self very rundown. The desk was broken and worn off, the air-condition loud and unresponsive, the Wi-Fi congested and unusable. This Hotel allows dogs. There is just no a designated area to walk your pets. As matter a fact not even any grass. I filled out a survey with the Hotel and got a letter from the manager telling me renovations are on their way. Which did not help for this stay but perhaps makes me decide to come back. Radisson has as a military discount.

Rooms too Small for money. Service from employee's leaves a lot to be desired! The girl working at the front desk had no reply to me when I expressed concern for why the room was not ready yet. Even though check in is at 3 PM and we were there for 7 PM. Paying for parking. Really! The service at the grill restaurant was terrible. If I had more time I would write more.
