What a great place to stay and hold an event! Very clean and updated hotel. The staff was WONDERFUL to work with and very accommodating. The food was delicious and there were tons of banquet menu options. Will definitely hold another event here!

Beautiful convention type setting with multiple conference rooms with plenty of room to accommodate any size gathering. Newly updated facility. Absolutely stunning.

Had to stay for work Wednesday and Thursday nights… being from Cincinnati and a Bengals fan had a bad picture in my mind… your staff is excellent and the people in Pittsburg are actually really nice! City is very beautiful! Thank you for making me feel at home away from home!

Beautiful hotel, best price for a room I’ve ever come across!

First time in Pittsburgh. The hotel is right off the highway and easy to find. Many retailers close by, yet a 10 minute drive will put you in the country side. Hotel has a luxury design and well maintained. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and feel spacious because of design. Definitely recommend this hotel!

My family went to the Easter buffet today. Food was wonderful and staff even better! We were one of the first ones in and were one of the last ones out we were having such a good time. Hope to do it again soon!

Had multiple great experiences here. Staff is so friendly and accomadating. The atrium past the entrance is awe inspiring and the breakfast buffet is amazing.

Nice hotel. Great location just next to interstate. The rooms are very good as well. They are spacious and rhe TV in particular is excellent. Lot of stores and eating places near the restaurant as well. Recommended.

This was the first time at the Marriott in Cranberry Twp. Have stayed at the other Marriott brands on previous trips. Check in experience was great speaking with Sam. Provided some extras as a reward member which was very nice. I find few of the hotels recognize you as a reward member so when they do it is noticable. We were placed in a renovated room which was spacious and nice. I found it is hit and miss with the main brand on the size of rooms. This worked out very well for our family. Would definitely return to the hotel in the future based on this visit.

Such an exceptional place. The staff is really nice and will go out of their way to make your stay the best. They helped CTEMS Training Blitz run seamlessly and the food is amazing. Definitely love staying here each year.

Very nice hotel. My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights and had no complaints! It is right in the heart of Cranberry Twp. So it is very close to shops, dining, and attractions. I would definitely stay there again!

The location of this hotel is great, given how close it is to many Cranberry restaurants. It is also right down the road from I-79 for convenient travel in and out of the area. The brunch was pretty good. This hotel is a great overall hotel and one of the first/main ones 228 on the northern side of Cranberry.

A beautiful looking venue aesthetically, but fell very short and a number of small areas. First, the swimming pool was out of order. Second, the phone service did not work, and there was a blinking message light on the phone even though there were no messages. Again, this is a very small detail but obnoxious over a three-night stay. Finally, the bedding was very uncomfortable. There was a padded fitted sheet that was completely torn and would not stay on the mattress. Also, the pillows deflate similar to a balloon as soon as you lay your head on them. Just made for a very uncomfortable night of sleep. Finally, the temperature controls in the room when unresponsive and it was very hot the entire night each night we stayed. With all of that said, the staff is exceptionally courteous and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and again, the hotel is beautiful.

I've stayed here multiple times, as this is my company's hotel of choice for out-of-town visitors. The staff is always friendly, but the mattresses feel cheap. If you're sharing the bed with another person, be prepared to feel all their movements throughout the night. The in-room TVs are also much smaller than several other less expensive (Marriott) chains. On my most recent stay, (6-18-18), my hotel room (with 2 people on the reservation), only had 2 towels in it, so I had to ask for more. Also, the Starbucks downstairs was never open on time and didn't have coffee actually brewed until 20 minutes after they were supposed to have opened. The on-site shop didn't have toothpaste for sale or several other standard toiletry items either.

Rooms were clean. Restaurant was great. Front staff was inviting and helpful!

Was at the hotel for a symposium. Layout & naming of the meeting rooms was confusing so I had to keep referring back to the site map (which apparently wasn't provided in print by the hotel & the event staff ran out of them early then had to wait for an off-site printing job). Multiuser bathroom in the main meeting area has some handicap access oddities that I brought up to management & they promise will be fixed in the upcoming renovations (the one wheelchair accessible sink in the ladies' room is extremely awkwardly placed and I had door-swing issues closing the handicap stall door around my wheelchair). Found the family/unisex restroom over by the pool and detoured to that whenever the need arose after the first frustrating experience in the ladies' room. There were also MAJOR sound bleed-through issues between the partitioned off meeting rooms so that I struggled to follow what was being said in Cranberry VI. On the other hand, Samantha at the Starbucks counter in the lobby was wonderful and deserves commendations.

Stayed here for a wedding and got in really late. Even after midnight the hosts were friendly, polite, and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms are exceedingly lovely. Step in showers instead of bathtubs. Parts of the hotel are undergoing a remodel, but they have them all sealed away and so there is no noise or other distractions.

The wine selection at the restaurant is pretty good. It wasn't hard to find a wine I recognize. And the staff is friendly.

More of a 3.5 star review but that wasn't an option. My biggest issue was that the floor we stayed on was currently being remodeled. The room was a bit tight. Not small necessarily, it just felt cramped. The TV was old and small, not what I've become used to at Marriotts. The shower was nice but had very low water pressure. It made rinsing difficult. The room was clean, power available on either side of the bed and plenty at the desk as well. Overall I was satisfied, there were just a few things I expect from a Marriott that this hotel did not have.

Attended a large formal event and was served this as the vegetarian option for dinner. (A large plate of penne with very little sauce and no vegetables what so ever) The omnivorous meal had more vegetables than the vegetarian dish. We were not overly impressed, someone at the table actually laughed out loud when the waiter placed this in front of me. We only saw the waitstaff when they were dropping off something, they didn’t make rounds to take drink orders/ etc. The overall atmosphere was your typical hotel ballroom, the lobby area has a nice water feature and is large to allow for bigger groups.

Just called to see about checking in early for my reservation was told to call back may 17 and got hung up on… not to mention when I called a few weeks ago to add another day to my reservation it seemed like I was asking for the world… hopefully my two night stay won’t be the same…

Amazing customer service. We got a room with a king bed but needed 2 beds instead. They apologized and changed us without a problem and even gave us free buffet passes. They were really thoughtful that even gave us a welcome bag. The food at restaurant was really good too.

Superb hotel with all the comforts…

My husband and I took an impromptu trip here when we found a Groupon deal for a night and breakfast. The room was clean, bed was comfy and staff was friendly. It was about a 30 min drive from the downtown area. Breakfast buffet was nice! Bacon always elevates an experience. Overall a great stay for a great price.

I visited the Cranberry Marriott for a work gathering; cannot give a review as an overnight guest. However, it was a very efficient place to meet with my colleagues. It was calm and quiet, there was plenty of seating surrounded by beautiful plants, and a Starbucks and restaurant within the lobby area. Would love to come back as an overnight guest someday!

It was an awesome stay restaurant manager came out to make sure our large group knew about a hospitality room was setup for us to make sure we were feed because we were coming in from many different states. The staff setting up buffet for us were very professional. Barbra at the Starbucks was kind and conversed with us on how we were doing. All in all it was a great weekend.

Great hotel for the area with a very friendly and obliging staff. Clean, recently redecorated, and great meeting rooms. Spacious and inviting lobby.

Impeccable quality and elegant charm abound at this location. The ambiance has the feel of a 5 star property, with no detail overlooked. My room was flawless and very comfortable. I even took photos of my room, which I don't typically do, just to share with others to show how impressed I was. I now want the exact same shower in my home, as it made me feel as though I were staying in an exotic resort.

Are you looking for a cozy atmosphere where your friends can meet for a leisurely breakfast and catch-up on what’s happening with everybody? You can’t beat the Pittsburgh Marriott North for your gathering place. My husband and I met a group of friends recently for brunch at the Marriott and had a wonderful time. Making the reservation for our party was easy. I can’t begin to fully express how wonderful the service was. Even though everybody was not able to arrive at the same time, we were all greeted warmly. Separate checks were issued with no problem. Our waitress, Shannon, was over the top friendly and accommodating. The restaurant environment is elegant and at the same time cozy and relaxing. I later learned from one of our friends that there was interest in getting together like this more often. Bravo to the Marriott staff!

I was here on a business trip to give a couple of presentations nearby. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Mobile Check in probably helped me have a room even at 10am. The room was cozy and clean, and no excessive noises. The hotel restaurant had good food and excellent service. Uber was easy to catch in the area. The only downside was that walking to restaurants and stores in the area was not the easiest but still manageable.

Beautiful hotel with nice rooms. I attended a wedding reception and it ballroom was beautiful and the food was incredible. The one problem was the next morning there was some lady preventing people from entering the lobby if they had cell phones. I hand to wander around to another entrance.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the terrible booking/check-in process we had. We booked a room for a wedding and the hotel told us that our stay would be $120 for the night. We had just enough money set aside for the night and when we got to the hotel we were told that the fee was now $170 for an EXTRA security deposit, which the hotel assured us we would get back after we checked out. We had to scramble around trying to find cash to come up with the money for night. Upon check out we found out that the refund was going to take several days to be processed back into my bank account. If you are going to charge someone a price e for a hotel room you need to be upfront about it. Don't tell someone one price and then change it when they show up. That's just wrong!

Marriott seems like a fine Hotel. However, I was there for a work happy hour and I don't believe it is the best kind of venue for that. Drink prices are a bit High however many of the appetizers were quite good. Service was an exceptional but probably on par with most hotels.

The room is nice. I needed some extra pillows and asked room service if she had some, she didn't but she called the front and for some brought up to me within moments. Everyone has been very nice sms helpful.

They charge $100/night and this is their idea of a free breakfast! Real breakfast is extra AND you have to pay for Wifi. You are better off going to a 2.5 stars hotel… I escape Miami Florida to avoid paying $27 for a case of water to get to Pittsburgh to no car rentals available for less than $80/day and $100/day hotels with no Wifi or free breakfast… Live and learn, stay at the hotel near the airport for half price!

Pros: Very helpful staff! Everyone was polite and friendly. Rooms were up to date and clean. Gorgeous lobby. Cons: They charge for Wi-Fi and breakfast. Pillows were not very comfortable. All in all a pretty good experience.

Hotel was very nice and clean. No hot tub dissapointent, pool was nice temp was too cold. We're Platnum Members and had to fight for a upgrade… no good there. Room service food was really long the food was good but it was so long waiting the magr comped it for free. Great location. Variety of restaurants and stores close by. Nice bathrooms and TV's. Members reception on the 8th floor was average, breakfast could of been better, but over all good hotel and staff.

Picture yourself in a comfortable chair next to the one you love and in the background there is the soft sound of water trickling and lovely greenery in the lobby. You have arrived at the River City Grill in the Pittsburgh Marriott North. This place is great for Sunday breakfast. Whether you are coming from church and all dressed up or you stayed overnight and have your shorts on ready for the day — you are welcome! There is usually a minimum waiting time to be seated and the service is good. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed but still with a touch of luxury. Families with kids, couples or those dining alone can feel comfortable in this place. I'd recommend reservations for large parties — otherwise walk ins are typically fine. My husband and I like to frequent various breakfast places but we always find ourselves coming back to the River City Grill. You can order ala carte off the menu or take advantage of the fantastic breakfast buffet. If you haven't been to the River City Grill — this is definitely a place I would recommend. Pam.

Positive attitude of everyone there is overwhelming. Atmosphere is very comfortable. Superior attention to detail. I had the burger and fries 2 nights in a row. Very good. Room was very clean. Bar was a fun place to hang out and relax. There was a lady getting ready to clean the bathroom as I was leaving and told me she had been there since it had opened 14 years ago. She loves working there. "all the kids" are so kind too her. I think that says it all. I'll be back if I get a chance.

Worst Marriott experience I have ever had. I am a loyal Marriott rewards member and this hotel is awful. I stay at hotels 50 nights a year and this is the worst after recent management changes. I spent probably 6 hours on the phone for a simple refund on a hotel stay resulting from a canceled flight and still have no resolution despite numerous phone calls to the hotel and promises it would be resolved. The new hotel GM bill landesell never called me back. I'm instructing everyone I know st my company / friends and family to avoid this place like the plague.

Was there for a luncheon. From the outside it is pretty much plain looking, looks like a hotel! Inside it is beautiful. Modern and inviting. Not much to be said for meeting room, looked ok but it was what it was. Something that bothered my ocd was an exit sign above a door that was not attached properly and was hanging, made me think maintenance isn't aware or no one noticed it. Or no one cares.? The food was delicious and serving size quite adequate. I'm not sure of the reason for this but the woman next to me asked if she could have her desert wrapped up so she could take it home, she was elderly and in a wheelchair. The server told her no, I'm not allowed to do that because of liability. Really? So it was left there to be thrown away. Disappointing to see that happen. All in all I enjoyed the visit.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff were all very polite and helpful. The bed was great and the pillows ere awesome.

Currently staying at this hotel for an extended period of time for work. Front desk staff is nice. The cleaning guy on my floor isn't great. My co workers who are also staying here have the same feelings on the cleaning guy. He stopped putting away the ironing board every day and he doesn't vacuum the room at all. There has been a piece of popcorn underneath my desk for a week. Sometimes he forgets to leave a bath mat or even refill the soap. He also left his yellow cleaning rag in the bathroom one time as well. Overall is a decent hotel, you just expect a little better service from Marriott.

I was only in lobby and conference room. These areas were very clean. The conference room was a little chilly. The buffet lunch supplied by the hotel was excellent.

Very nice hotel, every employee interaction has been more than pleasant. With a hospitality degree I can honestly say they are very much on par. Incredibly friendly and hospitable in every regard.

Stayed here for a wedding. Room was up to date and nice for a short stay. Bed was extremely comfy and sheets were soft. Bar area was nice for relaxing after the long night.

My fiance and I visited to book a block of rooms for our wedding. The rate was excellent and despite the last minute nature of our booking, they accommodated us with not a sing problem. The sales team is gracious and followed up exactly when they said they would. The bar/restaurant area looked very clean and comfortable. I could see myself enjoying cocktails at the bar. We're looking forward to our stay!

I was at the Marriott north for a business function we were there all day long and had breakfast and lunch at the Marriott. The meeting rooms are very nice with the decor and the carpeting are quite lovely. The meals breakfast and lunch were amazing done banquet style. The people at the Marriott or incredibly helpful and the entire experience was wonderful.

I was at the Pittsburgh Marriott North to attend a work function in one of their halls. The building is very clean, appears to be newly renovated, and was very inviting overall. The hotel also catered lunch and breakfast for our event. We enjoyed both meals in their atrium in front of a fountain. Food and meal service were both excellent. I can't attest to the rooms because I didn't stay in the hotel but the staff and professional facilities were on par with the best hotels I've been in.

Nice hotel and staff. Good amenities. The hotel was nice and had most of the things you could want, including room service. The rooms are up to date with nice finishes. Rooms are lacking items like a small refrigerator, but I believe these can be provided upon request. There's a small Starbucks down in the lobby and a hotel restaurant that is decent, but not spectacular. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were amazing and it was seriously an awesome stay. The only problem was we went to the restaurant inside the lobby and the service there couldn't have gotten worse. We waited literally almost an hour before the food came out and just sat around for another 30 minutes after we finished eating for them to take our checks. The hotel its self was awesome, but the lobby restaurant was a real turn off. Side note it was the most expensive meal I've ever bought myself.

My partner and I booked a block of rooms at this Marriott for our wedding and we can't say enough good things about the staff and facilities. So many of our friends and family had stories to share with us about the staff going the extra mile to make their stay wonderful.

I booked this room through a booking site, I was told numerous time that this hotel has problems with third party bookings. I booked a double room and got a room with a king size and a pull out couch. When we pulled out the couch the sheets were dirty. There was no bathtub or refrigerator in the room. I could never get Wi-Fi without getting a pay site. My card was debited over $600 for charges that should have been $260. I called and the girl said they would pend for four or five days and then the pending would fall off and the actual charges would be on my charge. She didn't think of this, being an inconvenience to me.

One of the best Marriott hotels I've been to, and I've been to a lot. The service here was stellar. The room I stayed in was clean and spacious and I got an excellent night sleep… every night. I was actually shocked at the remarkably low price per night. In NYC, this same Marriott hotel would run you $250 a night, easily. Anyway, I recommend this Marriott to any and everyone, whether business or casual.

The hotel is nice but don't order room service. We ordered two breakfast and had no special orders. There were five missing items. To be fair, the manager was very good and took the breakfast off the bill.

I recently visited the Marriott in cranberry Twp. Me and my family were going on a long needed vacation. I booked the hotel TWO MONTHS ahead of time because we new they wood be booked being baseball season and so close to the Pirates stadium. We got there, unpacked our things from our car and went inside. We got a room and heaved the luggage cart to the elevator up to the Sixth floor. There was only one bed and the room smelled like someone had been smoking. We went back downstairs with the heavy luggage cart and told them about it. They said they were out of double rooms! They sent us to a new room with two AIR MATTRESSES! If I wanted to sleep on an air mattress I would have stayed at home! Oh yes I almost forgot the second room smelled like dirty wet laundry! All the rooms anywhere near Pittsburgh were booked that night so we booked a Holiday inn in Butler that was 25 miles away. I was very angry. Don't go here! they deserve 0 stars but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

The property was very well kept. The amenities were as accurate as listed. The staff was very courteous and friendly even the upper level management was energetic and accommodating.

I was honestly blown away by this hotel. Everything was spotless. But that isn't all that rare in a 3+ star hotel. I think the thing that blew me away was the employees. They all apparently love their job and it shows. The team work was amazing. The managers appeared to be everywhere at once. VERY friendly staff. Genuine friendliness. Not that annoying fake friendly. Great place.

I've had way better rooms for less than half the price of rooms here. No hot water, no mini refrigerator, and the shower head is low enough that I can't stand under it. I am 5'11" the restaurant is way over priced. Big big waist of money. Edit: all the pillows on my bed are exactly the same and all terrible.

Pretty average hotel for the cost. No jacuzzi, expensive Internet. Looks like the last time it was remodeled was the 90s. Service/parking/lobby was great but that's about it.

Seven of us just went to the Mother's Day buffet and here are my thoughts. As for the food, the salads and the seafood selection was excellent and generally very fresh. I especially liked the capicola and raw oysters. The grilled veggies were very nice. The limited selection of desserts were pre-made, but very tasty. I loved the espresso mousse and carrot cakes. For younger palates there was a nice selection of pasta and breakfast foods. My picky kids found enough to put a meal together. The beef roast, pork, and chicken were of middle quality and the sea bass was not up to par in my opinion. Our experience with the service did not meet our expectations. The servers were pleasant but not attentive enough. I suspect that they were trained to handle banquets so our drinks were empty too much and used plates tended to linger too long. They also automatically added gratuity to the bill which didn't give us opportunity to express our opinion (hence this review). This is the most expensive Mother's Day buffet in this area, so I feel I have a right to high expectations. My hope is that the Marriott will make a decision about the viability of this event and either focus on other efforts or become the go-to leader for Mother's Day. Right now I can think of at least two other buffets that are out-competing the Marriott in all areas including price.

Service was excellent from the front desk staff to the room service. We were absolutely blown away from their professionalism. The main lobby is beautiful and the food from the restaurant is great, but the decor in the rooms is a bit outdated compared to other Marriotts in the Pittsburgh area.

I have stayed at many hotels and this is by far the best hotel I have not only stayed at but had events at as well. I live south of pittsburgh but will only host events at this hotel, which is a 50 minute drive for me. The banquet staff here is beyond helpful and very professional. I find their customer service refreshing.
