Great slightly faded glory but still glorious. Loved house walks breakfast staff. Dinner looked empty so didn't do. Would recommend and stay again.

We visited for afternoon tea. Very friendly staff, however they hadn't finished setting the table up for us, which was a bit strange as we were the only ones having afternoon tea that day. Being the only ones in the room also meant the whole experience lacked a bit of atmosphere but we had a lovely view from our table to compensate. Service was prompt and the food delicious. Very good value for money. However, nobody came to check on us during the tea to ask if everything was ok and our tea ran out but we were not offered a refill. Overall a very pleasant afternoon, just a little more attention to detail required in order to make it a 5 star experience.

Rooms are very nice, evening food was fabulous from both menus staff are friendly and polite breakfast food was lovely only negative went for breakfast table wasn't set correctly no cup no butter no milk and no staff for 5 mins and the bar late afternoon evening was not manned all the time so had to go looking for service. Overall very nice but a little overpriced for the level of service.

Stayed here as part of a group. Lovely views of green hills. Nice and quiet. Room quality was good. Finally nice to have a proper double bed! Only issue was the bath leaked when using the shower. Main meal was lovely, steak that melted in the mouth. Portions were on the smaller side which was mirrored at breakfast.

Went for afternoon tea over May day weekend. The food was well presented and high quality, service was a bit hit and miss but it's a beautiful setting so a little wait wasn't a problem. The menu was a little misleading as 'smoked salmon' sandwiches were smoked salmon mousse, still tasty but not entirely accurate. The price is very reasonable, staff very courteous, overall a pleasant experience.

Highly recommend. Clean and comfortable rooms. A few of the rooms are dog friendly. Lovely grounds surrounding the hotel which are great to walk the dog. Staff exceptional. Our rate was £120 including breakfast which I think, for what you get, is very good value indeed, especially as it was a bank holiday. Only reason for losing star was the evening meal was mediocre, not bad, but not great either. The steak was chewy and flat (I'm guessing was more a stewing steak or a low cost steak). For £22 they could afford to offer at least a rump. So I'd eat out if I were you. But don't let this put you off as this place is certainly in my top 10 hotels and I'd definitely come back.

Seeing dead animals all over the place is just disgusting. Food wasn't THAT bad however for this price I could eat 2 meals with better quality. I wanted the lamb burger and it wasn't available and I know that happens sometimes but waiting 30 minutes for 2 burgers and sausage with mash potatoes seems to be a joke. I didn't give 1 star only because I know that there are worse restaurants around.

Lovely old country house. Full of charm and character. Good food and a friendly welcome. Our room was lovely.

A beautiful place, very quiet and with fabulous scenery. Staff are helpful and polite, room was clean and very nicely presented, a few 'glitches' e. G. No milk in the fridge in the room, iron was broken, but nothing that adversely affected my stay.

This is a lovely historic building. The room was very comfortable and the food was delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The negatives were, I called and was quoted a price for the room, but found it cheeper online. The tiny amount of ice cream you get with your sweet in the evening meal (Although it tasted great). I did not find it was a relaxing place, but perhaps that was just me.

This place is fine. But given how fancy it looks, and how much it costs, it's disappointing. Went here for dinner. The food isn't quite as good as you'd expect and the service is a bit thin.

Brilliant mansion. Superb rooms with very pleasant staff. Excellent food and service. Can't wait to go back for an extremely relaxing luxurious break.

Fantastic place. Fantastic staff. Rooms to suit everyone. You don't have to be staying there! you can just pop in for afternoon tea or a fabulous meal. Nothing is too much trouble. A nice place for any event.

Nanteos Mansion is a fabulous country house in a tucked away piece of gorgeous Welsh countryside near Aberystwyth. To get there, you'll travel a small windy road which, just before reaching the mansion, has quite a few potholes so don't speed to get there! The setting of the mansion, with the view outside, even in the rain, is a sight to behold. So much green and trees, It's a truly marvellous place. And once inside… The staff are all welcoming and attentive to any questions or requests you may have. The decor is great, the food we had was succulent. Even the afternoon tea is bliss (warm scone with clotted cream and jam… yum! ) Be careful if you're wearing high heels, you may get it stuck in the flooring in the main entrance, but it's a good giggle when it happens. It is a fantastic place with a genuine magical sensation. Perfect for weddings (why I was there). Cannot recommend a more lovely place ^_^

This hotel is one of the undiscovered delights of Ceredigion. I have been visiting Aberystwyth for 10 years and have only just discovered this wonderful hotel. As with anywhere, there are improvements to be made, but in general the place cannot be faulted. Beautiful views from an impressive building and very welcoming staff add to an experience that I'm not sure I want to tell all about in case I can't get a room next time I'm in the area.

Good food and room. Personal service as it was December and we were the only guests in the place on one of the nights, which suited me.
