A little speedy for two stars, but it's the Oregon coast! Priceline left out all the info I plugged in on their site, but the very helpful and friendly staff took care of it. Had a great time there in Depoe Bay, and would definitely return. Kids got a kick out of the pancake machine.

So sorry. I'm not one to give bad reviews but we were extremely disappointed with nearly everything here. The breakfast was so bad we saw a couple brought in their own groceries. Some components to what you would expect for even a basic breakfast were completely missing. We were ignored completely by the clerk. We skipped it entirely the second morning. The extremely noisy location over a busy highway with limited view was overpriced for worn accommodations. Okay in a pinch for a one nighter if nothing else is available and you plan on eating out. Hopefully we caught them on a bad 2 nights and this isn't the usual experience.

This was one of the best places we've stayed in a very long time! Our room had the best view of the Bay and we could actually see the whales playing from our room. We plan on staying there every 3 months! Room was comfy, towels were soft and fluffy and the staff was great! I highly recommend this place to anyone for a get away or a business trip.

I sure hope we just got one of the not so great rooms and that the whole place isn't like this one. The latch on the patio door needs repair, the toilet seat is loose, beds are to hard, the tub was half cleaned (there was a dark brown hair in it), and the hot tub wasn't hot, it was like sitting in a warm bath with a couple of weak jets. Reception person could be a bit more friendly. We asked for a different room but was denied due to some policy. That's okay we can deal with the room. We just won't be staying here ever again in the future. We have stayed in other Travelodges in other states and they were fantastic. This one is so disappointing. We hardly go on vacation and when we do we expect to be comfortable.

Room smelling of smoke. Old carpet. No blankets only an old polyester bedspread. Mattress was as hard as the ground. The pillows had yellow stains all over them. Do not stay here… ever…

When reserving your room online and seeing a fireplace in all the rooms your thinking awesome! When you arrive for check in and the manager tells you its extra for the fireplace you wonder what kind of scam do they having going on here. 3 levels of rooms with one room on each level with no fireplace. Assuming everyone will up grade the extra $20.00!? I did!

Booking was simple and with our AAA discount it was a great price. They explained there was an ocean view, but the trees were a bit tall and not getting cut until next week. So the view would be a bit obstructed. I thought I knew what I wad getting into. While the hotel is in fact right across the hwy from the ocean, it takes the man of steal to get the sliding glass door open to hear the waves. They are a pet friendly hotel, but the area a dog is supposed to potty in is also the "picnic area. " And if you want to bbq, you would have to clean the cigarette butts out of the bbq first. The rooms do not have A. C. Our stay in April, this was not an issue. The beds came equip with clean linen, and 2 pillows, I did find extras in the closet area, but the bed its self was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. My children even complained, and they can sleep anywhere! The molding in the room could have used a coat of pain, and the desk/dresser/tv stand had definitely seen better days. The shower ran nice and hot and was the perfect height for my 12 year old. So being a contortionist would be helpful while showering. The staff was helpful, but service with a smile is a new concept I am sure. The continental breakfast was suitable, but again it was free. It was a last minute reservation, but I can say, this stay has completely turned my husband and myself off of Travelodge.

The Travelodge in Depoe Bay boasts ocean view rooms at a moderate price. While ocean views are to be had, they are not unobstructed. The city park across the street has several trees that obstruct clear views. Having said that, the views are still beautiful. The 2nd floor is pet friendly and accessible from the parking area. No pets are allowed on the 3rd floor which is accessible by stairs at both the North and South ends of the building and an elevator at the North end near the registration office. I didn't find out if pets are allowed on the 1st floor (accessible by stairs or elevator) but the ice and vending machines are located there. They offer a breakfast from 7-10:30 that has plenty to offer. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. Multiple shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and at least 1 delivers. We had a nice time visiting the beach and will consider Travelodge for our next trip.

1/3/2018. Wonderful! Beautiful! Stayed at Travelodge 1/3/2018. Room 207. Very nice room with ocean view. Very clean, fireplace kept us nice and warm all night. Beds were great. Not too firm, not too soft, just right! Lots of great soft pillows. Clean carpet, no odors, no noises, just the sound of ocean waves breaking on the bay shore. Coffee pot, soaps, hair shampoo & conditioner, hair dryer. Nice TV, mirowave, and frige. Good little free breakfast. Totally enjoyed our stay here. Very nice staff working the front desk. Great price! No kidding. This is the honest truth. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for making our stay very comfortable and pleasant.

You get what you pay for. Room was dusty. When I closed the curtain a bunch of the hooks were missing or derailed. Breakfast was so-so. Fresh fruit was far from fresh. Shriveled apples and bananas ready to be baked into bread. Fireplace was nice and it is pet friendly.

Great pleasant experience clean room. GREAT VIEW AND LOCATION! Walking distance acro the street from the park.

We were happy with our weekend get away here. Room was cozy with fireplace and jacuzzi. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay and has quite a few choices. I left my ring when we checked out. Called them and told them. Went sight seeing and came back to get it. They had it in front desk all put away for me. Excellent costumer service!

Very clean and they accept dogs! Great views of the bay and a short walk to shops and dining. A great deal and the perfect weekend getaway!

Room is very clean. Front desk guy was very nice and helpful. Would have gotten five star except someone decided to vacuum the room above me at 8:30 at night. Going to say; "That is a daytime activity! " I was not happy!

Spent 3 nights at the travelodge in Depoe Bay Oregon. Needed a retreat and an off the grid Christmas. It was a great decision. The office staff were friendly and chose a great room for me. My room was extremely clean. It was very obvious that the housekeeping staff took great pride in their work. They were extremely helpful and cheerful group. My sweet dog and I enjoyed a wonderful view from our dog friendly room. The hot tub area was emaclate. Right next to the hot tub are convenient and clean rest rooms. The breakfast was just right with a fun pancake making machine. This is a great place to stay, and you don't have to take out a second mortgage to afford it. Thanks to the great staff at the travelodge, it was a fun relaxing experience.

We enjoy this hotel because it is a wyndham and we can get it cheap. Kids love the mini pancake maker. But it was broken half the time we were there. Then they were out of yogurt and then cereal and the last day we didn't even go in because they didn't even have milk out. Otherwise a nice view.

The room was clean. Good view of the ocean. Great location to walk to local shops or whale watch. Our dogs were comfortable and so were we.

Place has gone way downhill since the last time I stayed here. Fireplace didn't work. When I told the manager all I got was well it's too much to have someone come and fix just one I have to make it worth their while. Then was out until mid afternoon and when I returned the room was still not cleaned. Again when I said something to the manager the excuse was that they clean the rooms that are "checkouts" first then the "stayovers. " Funny that's total opposite of the hotel industry. I could go on but bottom line — I will never stay here again and would HIGHLY discourage anyone else from staying here. Definitely LOTS better places in Depoe Bay.

The hotel was marked as having a view, could not see the ocean from our room. Turned hair drier on and it immediately started smelling and smoking-it could have very easily caught my hair on fire. There was a spider in the shower. A part of the night lock on the door had been removed, made it look like someone had busted in at one point and it was never fixed. Complimently breakfast consisted of fruit and muffins, we were unimpressed. Will spend our $150 somewhere else next time.

Had a great view of the ocean on 3rd floor. Good Central location. Rooms don't have air conditioning. Glad we didn't pick a warmer time of year.

The only thing good was the housekeeper! Other than that call it Motel Hell. Signs about don't do this and don't park there. We were in the hot tub and at 9pm on the dot they kicked us out! Then they locked the door. We backed in to unload our stuff for one minutes and the Manager came out of the office screaming at us. Oh and don't use the wrong towels like the bathroom signs say or they will try to charge you. not a very relaxing weekend at the beach… stay somewhere else!

The staff that greeted us was not very receptive to their customers. Nice view from​ the small balcony in front of the building, the rooms are well kept and clean great views of the coast from depot Bay to Lincoln City. The glass door to the balcony has no screen, I would be remiss if I did not mention it took over 20 minutes to check in and we were second in line the gentleman in front of us had problems because he had pets, also I tried to call the right number (checked) twice to which no one picked up.

Located right on Hwy 101, you can have a decent ocean view room at a reasonable price. Okay, let's be real here, this is not a high-end hotel. Cons: The fireplace didn't work. We called the front desk and they had a maintenance person at our door within minutes. He came in, jostled with the thing a bit and got it working; 15 minutes after he left, it went out again. The batteries in the TV remote were dead and the bed was VERY firm lending to stiff bones in the morning. Being 10-15 feet off of the Hwy, it can be a bit loud during the peak hours of the day. One vending machine with a small soda selection and it ONLY takes quarters. Pros: The room was clean and subtly decorated in neutral tones. The mini-fridge and TV worked fine. The private in-room jacuzzi was a MAJOR selling-point to this room. It was large with no problem controlling the water temperature and very nice jets to help you recover from a long day at the beach or from sleeping on the mattress. The balcony (despite sitting alongside the highway) offered a nice view of the ocean through a few windswept beach-trees. Accommodating and friendly staff-members and a moderate contemporary decor.

I personally had a good stay at the Travelodge. The rooms were clean, and it was relatively quiet. however. Keep an eye on your belongings when you load up your stuff! A person in our party had their camera stolen when an employee offered to "help" with their luggage. They declined the offer, but not before the guy had rifled with a number of items in their trunk. Needless to say, he walked off with a camera, and all the pictures from our vacation. Keep an eye on your belongings guys! Don't leave your stuff unattended.

The place has no airconditioning, but it's nice and cool if you open up the veranda. Unfortunately the hotel is right next to a main road, so it gets fairly noisy. There is a nice view of the ocean if you're on the second floor. Pets are only allowed on the first floor.

Great view, but no AC (not that important on the northern Pacific coast) and no screens. Our room was 88 degrees when we opened the door at 6pm. We had to leave the sliding glass door wide open and the room door wide open and wait close to an hour for the room to cool down. Once it cooled off, we were okay, but would have liked a screen on the sliding balcony door to keep out any creepy crawlers (or fliers) that might have wondered our way. Some inconsiderate jerk parked his or her Goldwing in the striped "no parking" area next to a handicap parking space and the bike blocked the access to the little concrete ramp that allowed access to the elevated sidewalk. We had to push our cart to the other end of the hotel to get it up on the sidewalk, and then all the way back down to the end we started at by the bike so we could get the elevator to our floor. I wished cold rain and a swarm of rhinoceros beetles on the owner of the bike for the remainder of his or her trip. This parking violation was directly in front of the manager's office and should have been addressed immediately, but the bike was still there the following morning. When we checked in the manager / handyman (who took 13 minutes to show up in the office when we checked in) said the office / breakfast facility would be open at 7am. I looked forward to having coffee at 7:25 the following morning when we went to check out, but the office remained locked, dark and empty and the manager was nowhere to be found.

Amazing room! Great price! Centralized location between Lincoln City and Newport. Breakfast, hot tub, amazing view from our 3rd floor room. Super courteous staff! Will stay here again! Also, Sea Breeze bakery is within a walking distance! It's a must in Depoe Bay!

I don't dislike it, I was there a year ago when Taylor and bread open to seabreeze bakery and Café. I'm going to be staying there April 14 through the 17th I'm looking forward to going. My grandson Leland will be turning five and I am so excited to be there to celebrate it with him.

Wasn't sure if I wanted to review this place and let others know about what an absolute gem it is — LOL. Room appeared newly updated and was very clean. Every room overlooks the ocean, we had a nice gas fireplace in our room which was a great touch. Owners are actually onsite so it's not some chain, pride of ownership shows. There were also flat screen TV's but who wants to watch TV when you have the best view of the surf to enjoy from your own private patio. It was a little chilly so we had a fire going, cracked the patio door to hear the surf, ahhh — lovin' it and will definitely be back — many times!

Worst experience I've ever had. Loud drunk neighbors woke us up several times resulting in 7 calls to management who did absolutely nothing. The 6th call the manager came into our room at 12am while we were in our underwear to "witness" the noise herself where she agreed after just 30 seconds that it was excessive. I asked the manager of we could just leave and be refunded and was prepared to do which she would not allow nor did she offer moving the rooms. Finally they occupants went to bed at 130 only to begin the banging and the noise at 7:00am. The walls were paper thin. You could literally hear the entire conversation of the people next door. When we checked out the manager literally shrugged his shoulders and was less than apologetic acting as if we were the issue for not allowing the nonsense to continue. My husband called the corporate office who documented the complaint and gave the management 72 hrs to rectify the situation which to no surprise they didn't. Once again we called the corporate office who promised us a phone call within 24 hours and once again that phone call never came. My husband called again and was mocked and antagonized by a customer service agent. He asked to speak to a manager who augury several minutes and reluctance agreed to send him a $40.00 check… not even the price we payed to book the room.

I had originally booked a 3rd floor unit but I brought my dog and the only pet rooms are on the second! The view was still great, and got to watch a great sunset. The room was warm, so we left the sliding glass door open just a crack. Definitely helped! Beds are a little hard for my taste, so I tossed and turned. Everything was clean and comfortable. Loved the stay. My only concern is the keys. The room number is written on them. If I was out and dropped the key, someone could find it and know exactly where I was staying. That didn't feel very safe.

Great prices, customer service. Great view for the money. Scott the owner, proactively offered discounts and provided us with great service! We will send all of our friends and relatives their direction.

My girlfriend and I stayed in room 307 April 26th — April 29 2012. The hotel is right on 101. With the balcony door open traffic noise is louder than the ocean. With the door closed, it was almost non-existent. It wasn't an issue for us because I checked out the motel via Google maps before I booked the room. I knew where it was located. Lying on the bed, with the balcony door closed we could see the ocean. It was nice. The view from room 307 is great. I brought some binoculars and watched ships, helicopters and people climbing on rocks. The fireplace worked well. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The people running this motel are great. Personable and friendly. Right across highway 101 is a little city park with a picnic table and a bench facing the ocean. It was a great place to sit and listen to the ocean. (Tip: There are no park hours posted. ) Staying in Depoe Bay centrally locates you between Lincoln City to the North and Newport to the south. ~12.5 miles from either one. This motel is a great place to go and do things from. I only have three minor criticisms: The continental breakfast could be better. I wasn't there to watch TV, but the TV could be improved. The hot tub closes earlier than I ever got back to the motel. All in all I liked this place very much. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could and we'll certainly be back.

The staff was friendly. The room had a comfy bed and fireplace. I was in 105 (basement) which looked and felt like a morgue! I paid extra for an ocean view which I did not get due to a semi parked infront of our window. I asked about if it could be moved " sorry he is staying here for the night we have no other place for him to park" (note there where 3 doors down from us empty room he could of parked infront of) "Free Internet" When we attempted to access it we got nothing, I asked at front desk and "OH yes sorry it is limited to some rooms get it others do not. You are welcome to come to the lobby". We went to eat (which I highly recommend the tidal rave) and came back a bit after 9 : 00 pm the lobby was closed and no one in sight. The contential breakfast starts at 8: 8:30 WOW very late and all it is is muffins, bagels coffee or tea. Which I did not get why it could not start earlier. So if you are like us and booked a deep sea fishing trip (the early mornig ones you should be at boat by 6:30 am I highly recommend Yachat Bay Charters (ask for Art great Captain). Then you are out of luck. You could not pay me to return here nor would I recommend it to others. I could of gone down the road a bit and gotten a lot more ammunities and if they did not live up to their on line add you got a refund. I have called my booking company. The hotel has yet to pick up the phone to answer from the booking company.
