The Whale Inn Motel

Fair price for the coast (around $100) and recently remodeled. I appreciated the laminate flooring and the bed was comfy, also has a microwave and mini fridge. It's pretty basic but that's to be expected for the price point. Cons: lukewarm shower and poorly soundproofed… the road noise prevented me from getting a good night's sleep. If you're just looking for a place to land for a night or two, this is a great option. If you're wanting to fully relax, listen to the waves, and wake up to amazing views this isn't the place.

The rooms are small but cozy, simple but clean and exactly what we needed. The bed is comfy and the shower was hot. Also very nice having a fridge in our room, it came in handy. Loved being so close to the ocean as well.

The room is very clean and the bed and linens are quite comfortable. There is no closet/hangers or a chair but there are shelves. The decor is nautical and sweet, if sparse but honestly, folks don't come to The Oregon Coast to hang out in their room. Our needs were well met and we enjoyed our stay!

It is amazing and cozy for such a good price as well. It is great if you are single and amazing if your are a couple small room but with so many activities around you not much time to spend in the room. I would stay here again and again 5 stars worth of relaxation.

Fresh paint and clean, but a little too basic for a retired couple. There were no chairs and no where to put luggage, but the floor. They were prompt in email responses and helpful when we needed an extra night. I would recommend this place to younger people based on value for price, and I like places without carpet.

It was a great stay, clean rooms, had a small issue getting the room key, but once I called they had it all figured out. Could use a desk and a chair, I had nowhere to use my laptop, or charge it, besides the bathroom. Overall a good affordable room on the coast.

I'm super disappointed with our recent stay on Easter 3/31-4/1 2018. First, we had booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children and were put in an extremely small room with one bed. When we called about the confusion, we were told all rooms only have one bed (that's not what was advertised when booking), but were told that there were bigger rooms at this location, but unfortunately they were all booked already. My children ended up sleeping on a pallet on the floor because all hotels were booked in the area due to the holiday… but that's not even the worse part. At 11:30 pm the dog in the room next door barked for 20 minutes, luckily my family was still awake watching a movie, so it didn't bother us too much. But then, at 2 am, the same dog barked for over 40 minutes (I'm assuming the owners left the dog in the room and went out. ) My family and I were woken from our sleep (as were many of the other patrons staying at this location, ) and were awake until after 3 am when the people came back and the dog stopped barking. I called the number to reach an employee at 2am (because there are no employees on site, ) but only got voicemail. Super disappointed with our experience here.

Adorable studio style room unit 1. Everything you need for a night or weekend. Close to local restaurants and very comfortable. A different heat source would be the only improvement they need. Loved the sea theme.

Cute small rentals. Bed was comfortable which you don't find often. Clean. Walking distance of all the little shops. We ate at tidal raves, delicious and fun cocktails. Then walked across the street to wing wa's bar and Chinese cuisine had a blast at kareoke! Would definitely stay here again.

This place is adorable! Clean and new. Right on 101, less than a half mile walk to downtown, and just across from the ocean.

Newly renovated, clean, modern and all basic nessesities. Small yet spacious. Walk across the street for a scenic view of the ocean, sea lions and possibly whales. Coffee, bud, food all in walking distance. Could use a microwave : (
