Room nasty all you could smell was marijuana roaches crawling up the wall and under the door.

NASTY! The tub is beyond dirty, covered in mold! Left in the middle of the night. Workers saw little problem with the issue.

My daughter and I recently stayed 2 nights for the wildlife convention. The room was okay, nothing special. Uncomfortable pillows. There was no maid service to make the beds, no clean towels, no garbage removal and we ran out of toilet paper. I called the front desk to ask why and was told that those services were not done unless requested except for garbage pickup. That was also not done. The water from the shower took forever to drain. Definitely would not recommend this hotel.

I stayed here on 9/1/2018. It was probably the worst room I have ever stayed in. We got the room for after the kid rock concert; first of all it took 45 minutes to get us checked in after we booked the room a month prior and then once we got into the room the beds were wet like they had been sprayed with cleaning spray instead of being washed. The bathroom floors were still wet. The air conditioner was not on and when we turned it on it made a loud noise. When we returned back to our room around midnight the floor was soaked in water and the air conditioner had stopped working. When we told someone at the front desk all they said was throw a towel over it. I didn't even want to sleep in the room. We shouldn't have had to pay a dime for our stay. We checked out at 7 am because I had to get out of there. Never again will I stay at this place. People were partying outside until 5 am and we didn't get any rest. Which I understand having fun, but they were allowing people to be in the lobby drinking beer and doing whatever they wanted. I have never seen a place allow such. We will not be back!

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had I had to stay there because I was doing demo work on my home and it was very convenient to our house my Mother's Day with me and my daughter but to start it was a booking through booking. Com. Because of that the two women behind the desk at 11pm was very slow and checking us up I'm very insensitive to making any changes to the reservation because the book is made to booking. Com. The machines were down so it took almost 45 minutes to check in there was no one else in the lobby there was also a number of drunken residence in front most of the evening and the next. The rooms were poorly cleaned and the breakfast was awful. The room service food that my mother ordered was nasty she had to take it back and wait on a refund. I said a number of places in this was the worst in a very long time will never stay there again and we'll tell everyone to stay away.

I stayed here my first night in town having moved to Raleigh from Texas. There was no one at the front desk, but there was a sign stating that staff was helping someone and would be back as soon as possible. I thought this was a nice touch because I didn't have to stand there looking around wondering if anybody worked there. Panther arrived and helped us out. She was friendly and funny. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were actually amazing. I had a room on the ground level and it was quieter than I expected it to be. The only reason I didn't give five stars: there was an empty booze bottle lying in front of the entrance to the hotel the next morning. It wasn't there the evening before & I thought it was sketchy that someone was drinking out in the parking lot over night (even though I did not see or hear anyone nor did I feel unsafe or even annoyed at any point during my stay). Well, I actually was annoyed by the two patrons smoking in front of the doorway underneath the "no smoking" sign in the morning. Check-out went smoothly. I would stay here again.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I would like to specifically recognize Charlene. She puts customers first, above and beyond what is required always with a smile on her face, no matter the customer demands. She puts off dinner breaks and even bathroom breaks, she was alone working the night I was there (Aug 2), to make sure everyone who came to the front desk was served as soon as they walked up. Red Roof Inn Plus needs to recognize Charlene for her commitment to her position. They are damn lucky to have her on their team. I would love to have such a high caliber person working for me! She deserves a raise. I insist my review make it's way the Red Roof in management and corporate headquarters Thank you, Laura Bellcase Crofton, MD.

Was only there for one night but it was nice. In the morning there was coffee and muffins available downstairs, the staff was friendly and made checking in and out easy (especially since I've never reserved a room before), and it was maybe 5 minutes from our concert venue without a pricey stay! The only dowside is that when we arrived back to the hotel, since it's pet friendly, we could hear dogs barking when opened and closed our door.

Room was clean and updated with linoleum wood floors — lovely clean and fresh look. Pet friendly! Only negative was location, sketchy people hanging out in parking lot and even propped open hotel door. Loud noises throughout the night.

For what it is, a nice motel. Clean. No tiny fridge, which is disappointing, but there's an ice machine, so it's not the end of the world. Staff is really outstanding, though. Very responsive and polite. It made the room worth the price, frankly.

You definitely get what you pay for! Broken A/C! dirty showers. Broken shower surrounds that could cut your hand to the bone. It’s an ok place to stay if you have no other choice. PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER THE STAFF WITH YOUR PROBLEMS! They are too busy to work, I was told at 10 am that my room would be switched and keys would be waiting, we get back from a 9hr run at Basket Ball tournament and guess what? No keys, no room waiting. Just an aggravated front desk person because she HAD to move my room.

Eh, it's a red roof inn. Not sure how much my boss paid to have me stay here, but at least I'm moving to the Sheraton for the rest of the week. Nice staff checking in, dirty hallways leading to the room. The room surprisingly did NOT smell like smoke, though the bed is on the firm side. 3 pillows per bed ranging from brick to a sheet or two of tissue paper. It was an endeavor to comfortably prop myself up in bed to figure out what channel I wanted to watch. There was no channel guide… The shower was noisy in the morning, but luckily that drowned out my neighbors TV which was blaring all night.

I spent 6 nights at Red Roof Plus+ here in Raleigh. The room was spacious, clean, and for the most part quiet. The freeway is closed enough that you can hear a noisy truck if you try. The desk staff are great, always with a friendly word when you pass. Since absolutely nothing went wrong, I didn't have that much interaction with them. The housekeepers did a great job, too. Not a posh downtown hotel, but close enough to downtown that it is within easy reach. And easy access to Raleigh's freeways.

You get what you pay for. Ok size suites with relatively comfortable bed, but there's a lot of room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness. They provide an envelope however, for you to leave a tip for the maid… Hallways didn't seem to be vacuumed either. Breakfast is close to none: oatmeal, coffee and orange juice. That's it. Front desk staff was very nice, though :) This hotel is also a pet friendly facility and they have separate floor designated for guests with pets. Located on the outskirts of Raleigh, 10min to the center of the city.

Love being able to have our dog with us at this hotel. We've stayed here several times. Very nice & comfortable rooms. However, we did have two issues this time. On one day of our week-long stay, our room was not cleaned by housekeeping. To be fair, we did have the "Do not disturb" tag in the lock but we removed it when we left in the morning. Our room should have been cleaned. We had to request clean towels & that our garbage be emptied when we got back to the room late that evening. The other inconvenience involved having to change rooms because they originally put us in a room that was located on a pet-free floor. That would have been fine except that we checked in on a Sunday and they did not require us to move until the day before we checked out the following Saturday. In spite of these inconveniences, we will still book this hotel. The staff is cordial and the rooms quite comfortable. And, we love being able to bring our dog with us.

It was a great hotel for the price. The staff was courteous and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The only negative was the water saving shower head. It took three times as long to take a shower.

This place was only $90 total a night when I stayed. This got you two queen beds, refrigerator and free Wi-Fi. The hotel must of been remodeled recently, and was in great shape. The bed was pretty soft and felt a little worn. The only thing that gave away this places age was the shower; it was a bathtub style shower and the tub was rounded on the bottom, not flat… Very strange feeling. Overall I will be returning to this place if need be in the future, it's very cheap and well worth the cost. The same nights at other hotels in the area was $150+.

It's clean, quite, and the people are nice so far. Wish they had a better breakfast, but that's a personal opinion, I like to eat lol.

The room was clean, but the double beds are a bit small for 2 6ft tall guests. When we were packing up, we found underwear under the bed that didn't belong to any of us, so we assume housekeeping missed it. The toilet had the loudest flush imaginable. Not a bad place at all, for the price.

It was noisy not sure if its thin walls or what but very noisy and each sound startled our pets. People smoking just outside the door and some just loitering around alone at night (kinda creepy), staff brought dogs to work and left them in the car for hours. Rooms were not "dirty" but not clean either, dust and unswept. I actually purchased cleaning wipes to clean up better the day we checked in. Fridge average size but had to use tape to keep the door closed and keep things cold. We wont be staying there again, $10 more a night can get alot nicer room with friendlier/more helpful staff.

Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The rooms are pretty modern looking don’t judge the rooms by the outside appearance. The price is great and the staff was pretty friendly. Thought I’d be disappointed but was not!

The room looked nothing like it did in the pictures. DO NOT order room service from here. They showed up with our food which was good but they did not send our drinks had to wait another 45 mins when the guy came he had only 1 drink told us he would return but never showed up we fell asleep waiting on it. The bathroom door doesn't close and the face basin sink water drains super slow. This is not what I was expecting from a premium room. But I guess we get what we pay for $87.

Great motel. Cheap clean looks recently renovated. Everything in my room was new and clean. Fair price. 1 mile walk to downtown Raleigh. Friendly service. 4.5

Great rooms, service, housekeeping was EXCELLENT. 24 hour free coffee. Simple, healthy and satisfactory continental breakfast. Pet friendly; there's always a cool dog around that needs there ears scratched;-) This is a safe, secure place that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND, Especially for couples, children and elderly. We will be back…

Didn't have high expectations but it was a very pleasant stay. Clean room, big bed (king size), microwave and minifridge. Room was quiet. Floor is wood in stead of carpet, which we prefer. Check-in lady could have been a bit more friendly. Breakfast was very limited but at least it was included in the room price.

If you're looking for last minute place to stay it's fine but know most people there are doing the same. Usually college, nightclub, or passerby. It's a little loud and sketch but it's fine and safe. A little smelly but hey, the price is better than driving home.

Had a pleasant stay while avoiding hurricane Irma. The room was clean and had enough room to set up a dog crate and navigate on crutches. My only complaint was that there were not any accessible rooms available upon check in. This made it extremely difficult to use the bathroom safely. Red roof inn please install another handhold near the toilets in your rooms this will make more rooms useful to more people (disabled, elderly, etc).

The staff is attentive, welcoming and professional. The rooms are well sized. Pets welcome with an entire 'Pet Free' floor for patrons. Within minutes of downtown Raleigh, Shaw University and North Carolina State University! Coffee fresh and morning spread is quite nice. Pleasant surroundings.

I enjoyed my stay and the check in and out process was very smooth. The staff (Maryann & Panther) were very nice and pleasant to work with. They answered any questions that I had in a very professional manner. They also suggested nearby places to eat. I ate breakfast at the Farmers Market which Maryann suggested and the food was excellent. The room was clean from top to bottom. I would definitely stay at the Red Roof Inn Plus again.

This is a first time staying at a hotel, and especially a Red Roof, and I will definitely recommend it to others! The staff are nice and will work with you even when you kind of have to ask a lot of questions. They even helped us with catering. The rooms are very nice and spacious, though some maintenance could be done. But that was easy to work around. The bathroom was very good and so was the sink area. Beds are definitely comfortable to my liking, though everyone will have different tastes. Overall, I'd definitely like to stay here again!

It was actually really nice for the price and how close we were down town. Unfortunately their continental breakfast is a load of baloney. An oatmeal, muffin and/or a piece fruit. I wasn't pleased with that.

Way over priced terrible customer service nI was told I would receive a discount rate but when checked out it was full price Never again!

The location so close to downtown it made everything so easy. The rooms were fantastic while the staff were friendly and approachable.

My friends and I chose to stay her bc it was affordable for us just for the night. My friends and I were having a girls night out and we came back to our hotel room around 3am to eat then crash out. Well us being girls we had our laughs and giggles before falling asleep during this time a big dude started banging on our door yelling telling us to open the door. It creeped us out and we said no go away. About 10-15 min after that the raleigh police were at out door to let us know we were being kicked out for being to loud and asked if we were the party next door and we said no its just us trying to sleep so we can drive home later bc of course we were all drinking. Keep in mind we were the first room close to the lobby and the guy yelling at our door worked at the front desk. Im writing this because I felt like what he did was rude and went over the top for just a couple of girls laughing beacuse we were having a good time. Our phone room was not called once to let us know we were being to loud instead we had a big huge drunk looking leprechaun banging on the door and I will not open any door to any man looking like so. Brandon was his name and I think he should be fired for worse customer sevice possible.

It has a bed and a working toilet, so I can't give it one star. Complementary breakfast is apples and muffins. Nothing good about the place, only stay if you are using it as a crash pad.

The hotel was ok to stay in, however the room service attendants do a half job. I leave the room at 10 am come back at 7 at night and only one bed is made. In order to get ice you need to go upstairs and get it. In addition there is no security there to stop people from smoking marijuana.

Although this Red Roof Inn is easy to miss it has great service, is quiet and rates are good.

Loved th the room and was clean. Everyone was very friendly. Being a big coffee drinker would have loved to have a coffee maker in room. The coffee in lobby was horrible. There isn't anything in walking distance to eat.

The room are great for a low price. Some drunk lady was making a scene but that wasn't the hotel's fault.

Had to ask for fresh towels every time I needed them. I was charged twice for my stay and no one will help fix the problem of contact me back regarding this.

Red Roof Plus+ is the way to go. I'm not sure if the "Plus+" makes this location a 3 star hotel, but it looked and felt like it was. Room access was from an indoor hallway, there was an elevator, and everything looks clean and in order. My room was large and everything inside was in great condition. The TV had an interactive guide, and was even compatible with a smartphone as a remote (I did not partake). The bathroom, sheets, and towels didn't make my skin crawl — — which is a very common phenomenon in hotels for me, so this is actually an accomplishment. The front desk staff was pleasant and competent. There's no continental breakfast, but they did have a to go baggy, which held me until lunch. The coffee was deplorable but I'm not taking a star off the hotel's rating for that (seriously though, I'd pay 1.49$ to undrink that). What drives my review to a full 5-star review is the ridiculous value. It's an absolute steal to stay here. Raleigh isn't the cheapest city in the world, so my hotel choice usually takes a hit in quality, but I didn't feel like I was sacrificing anything by choosing this Red Roof Plus+. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in town. Side note: is "Plus+" redundant or am I supposed to say "plus plus".

This is the first time I have stayed in a Red Roof Inn in a while. I was in town for one night for a conference and chose this motel because it was inexpensive and the reviews were positive. There was one much less expensive motel in the area, but so much less that it screamed it must be a dump. I was treated courteously and promptly. The room was very clean, attractive and adequately spacious, but Spartan. There was no coffeemaker, microwave, or mini-frigerator. Red Roof offers an upgrade if you want to receive those and other amenities. The bed was quite comfortable. Wifi worked flawlessly. I didn't even turn on the TV, opting rather to stream my favorite show on my laptop. I kicked myself for not bringing an HDMI cord so that I could have watched in on their TVs larger screen. One nice touch. All the lamps featured outlets. It's one of the few times when I've been in a motel when I wasn't crawling around on the floor trying to find a plug behind a chest or bed. Breakfast — — a sweet bun, coffee, instant oatmeal and piece of fruit — — was equally Spartan. For my purposes, it was more than adequate and appreciated. If I'd been staying for several days with my wife, I probably would have opted for the upgrade.

Economy is the only world to describe this place. Rooms were basic, nothing extra, basic TV channels, reasonably comfortable beds, TERRIBLE breakfast (ie. A single muffin and a bottle of water bad) Basic bathrooms etc, If you want anything more than basic, go somewhere else.

The only problem I had was the fridge and microwave was not in our room like advertised.

Great place to stay for the price! Less than 2 miles to downtown. Rooms looked newly renovated and were clean.

If I could give this "hotel" zero stars I would! They are horrible they scammed us so bad and now they dont call back! We arrived to the hotel on Friday (06.06.14) at 6:20P. M. Got our room and left to meet with our friends by 7:30P. M. And didn't return till 3:00A. M. We left the hotel the next morning at 11A. M. Once we got back home we noticed and extra charge of $73.40 on our card we immediately called back the hotel and asked for an explanation, the woman on the phone was beyond RUDE and just said that "we broke their lamp" we explained it was broken when we got there she then told us "we suppose to report it" which made no sense to us because the rooms are suppose to be inspected before being rented out, she also told us that "we trashed the room" when we left the only thing we did was left the bed unmade and a towel on the floor. We asked them to defined a "trashed room" since we werent there the whole night and the woman refused to say anything and said the manager will call us and took our information down. It's been two three days since we spoke to them and no manager has yet to call us back, we called last night and they said the manager is gone for the day and will call tomorrow, today no one called us either. We then looked at the charge again and noticed they charged us te extra fee at 10A. M. On a Saturday when we didn't check out till 11A. M. Which made us even more mad and no one now picks up our phone call! Avoid this place they will scam you!

Lady at front desk was very friendly. No pool or hot tub though. Price was average. We got a king bed suite.

Without a doubt the biggest problem we had here was the staff. We stayed for 7 weeks so we were able to determine the cause of the problem: the manager. When that woman was in a bad mood (most of the time) the staff was too. When she was in a good mood (rare) the staff was too. Maid Service: There were two maids that didn't completely suck. For privacy, I will not say their names although I would love to give them the praise they deserve. The VAST majority of the maids, however, were lazy, nosy, faked an inability to understand English, greedy (would steal my room from my good maid because I tip for good service by skipping rooms and floors to beat her to my room). Front Desk: There were three people that worked the front desk that were fantastic most of the time. They were knowledgeable and helpful except for the times when they were obviously stressed out and angry because of the manager. This hotel was recently refurbished but in spite of it looking new and being comfortable the rooms are cramped and expensive. I was angered by the manager raising the rate of my room mid-stay in spite of my excellent stay record and our agreement on the rate prior to my arrival. The rate went from $318/wk to nearly $400/wk and the nominal reason for this excessive rate hike was their "Redi-To-Go Breakfast. " This was a paper bag with a crappy pre-packaged blueberry muffin, an apple and a bottled water.
