Amazing place, nice coffee & newspaper place, I love the Lobby area… many Photoshoots I have had in the Lobby. Nice Place! If you're visiting the RDU area this is a must-stay place…

After driving for 12 hours through torrential downpour and accidents all over the highway we finally decided to call it a night. After 30 phone calls to booked hotels and dealing with rude front desk associates we realized no hotels had any availability within 60 miles of where we were. It wasn't until we called the Raleigh Marriot City Center where we met Allison who saved the day. The hotel was super clean, but Allison is the one who made this stay even better. She was extremely helpful, accommodating, and patient going above and beyond for us at 4 am which not many people would do. Hoping her managers see this and can thank her for us!

We always stay at this hotel in Raleigh, love how it's convenient to everything downtown. The rooms are clean and updated, the beds are very comfortable, and the service at Rye restaurant and bar is fantastic. The staff here always takes very good care of us.

At hotel right now and room is vibrating and constant pounding noise from a concert series around the corner which goes on till 11 and starts at 7am… was not notified this would be occurring. Absolutely unacceptable! stay elsewhere!

Great facility and great staff.

I’ve had 23 stays and 50+ nights at this location in the last year. Inez, Jameson, Sadie, Johnathon, Jasmine, Mona, Da’Rel, Sean, and Carl make this place feel like home. They knew me by name within my first few stays and go out of their way to make each stay enjoyable. You don’t have to be a regular here to be treated as such. There are always bad apples in every bunch, but the staff at this hotel has consistently impressed me. Having stayed in many other properties (including other Marriott’s) around the Raleigh-Durham area, I highly recommend you choose City Center for your stay.

First things first: I did not like that fact that I paid $450 for two nights and they over booked the hotel, so I didn’t get the original room I booked with two double beds. Then I realized they charged me for a roll-a-way bed. They didn’t offer a discount or anything for the inconvenience they caused me. Very unprofessional and I will never recommend to anyone to stay there! I’ll do my best to expose the flaws of what should have been a relaxing stay. I’d say that this was a rare occurrence and they accidentally gave my room to someone else, but when I had to go back down because my roll-a-way bed still hadn’t been delivered 30min later, while I was speaking with a receptionist, I overheard another costumers conversation and they did the same thing to then with their room. I was very disappointed. My opinion of this Hotel chain has now changed. I’m sure since I booked months in advance, it was easier to give my room away to someone willing to pay more on the St. Patrick’s Day weekend since they overbooked.
**I’d like to add the beds weren’t comfortable at all. Along with the pillows. The King bed had one of those mattress pillow top covers on it, that didn’t fit the whole bed. Half my body was on a firm mattress and the other half was on a soft pillow top. The pillows were also so soft your head would shrink down all the way to the bed.

Great downtown location, reasonable prices and nice sized rooms. Don’t opt for the $5 bottled water in your room but hit up the vending machines on each floor and pick it up for $1.50. My wife and I have been there twice and enjoyed it both times. Also call for a foam pillow if you don’t like the squishy pillows.

Awesome place, loved the revitalized downtown area of Raleigh, and city center is a great name for this place because it is right in the middle of all the good stuff!
