I am very very Disappointed was so excited to stay but now it not really the room is clean when before checking in they charged the full amount instead of me paying as soon as we got there which I asked to pay when we got there though the website I'm now in the negatives because of it when we ask about it we told them my husband was paying half and I had the other half they said it would cost more on my part, then as we were were standing there they said something in a different language, all the reviews we seen showed it was an amazing place but so far not really. And it was a lie that I could pay at the hotel whenever we got here I am now in debt because of it I've included a picture that was sent along with my confirmation of where it says that the room was on hold with my car that there will be no charges filed to it, very disappointed more than anything because I was lied to not only by hotels. Com but also by the hotel that we stayed at because they said I can get half of my money back and they lied.

Great place to stay and the updates that have been done make it comparable to anything in the area. Location is key!

Great Smokies Inn was very nice and clean. I was very apprehensive about it seeing that I found online and had never stayed here. I would totally recommend this for anyone looking for a great value and very friendly staff. It’s just about a five minute drive to Harrah’s Casino.

EVERYTHING… The staff is excellent, rooms are large and spacious, also they are very clean, pool is awesome "has a kiddie pool attached to the adult pool", best place to stay in Cherokee, NC! The managers Larry & Darlene are just awesome people!

My daughter and I stayed here. Woke up at 4 am to bed bugs biting us. Went to front desk. Moved us to the room next door. Same thing. More bed bugs. Nope nope nope. Never again.

Nice clean property, was our 1st time there, (hotel) I will go back. A cozy place, fits well in the mountains. Was really impressed w/pools, they got an adult+kiddie — both were well maintained! A very short walk will get u to food, shopping and church.

Our room was very basic but quite comfortable. The staff was very professional with special props to larry! would recommend this place for anyone, and would recommend peter's pancakes for breakfast.

Clean, quite room. I really liked the decor /style of the lobby (had a log cabin look to it) Checked in late at night and front desk was helpful and friendly. Room was the usual hotel layout, we were in the back but when I woke up the next morning I was amazed by the views (anyplace in this town will have beautiful views. ) If you haven't been to Cherokee before its nestled in a little valley and everywhere you look there are mountains around you. The valley itself seems to have its own little atmosphere. I'm from Florida and New England originally and this town is the closest I can get to home without driving 1200+ miles.

Rooms are nice enough for the price but the staff could be a little more friendly or at least smile once during the check in process. Air conditioning worked excellent and the beds was comfortable. Also the pool area was kept clean which was nice.

Great hotel for the price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room and pool are both nice n clean. Grounds are well kept and the coffee in the lobby is surprisingly good. Nice and quiet area.

Found the room to be very clean and the staff very friendly. It’s pretty much all you can ask for if you needed a place to lay your head while you visit. Wi-Fi works well which is great since it’s an AT&T dead zone. Didn’t visit the pool but seems to be well taken care of and clean. Surrounded by shops and stores all within walking distances.

Went up to Cherokee for the night. The guy at the front desk was funny and very polite. Rooms were clean and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back here.

The worst place ever to stay! Totally stunk like saturated smoke from time we walked in and then they are aholes and try accuse you of things and charge your cc without your knowledge. Do not stay here worst in Cherokee period! # 2.5 star rating should be your warning lol.

Used to be the Best Western, years and years ago. The restaurant had the best double baked stuffed potatos and Prime Rib. Still looks the same, brings back memories. Exterior room, dated hotel that looks like a big log lodge. Great location, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and attractions. The Casino is driving distance though.

We love this place check in till check out was a great stay. I work alot of hours so after some casino play I sleept 12 hours on that beauty rest. Very peacfull area and close to stores and town.

Loved our stay. The stay was friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was big and the king bed was very comfortable. It is placed perfectly. Everything was at most within a 10 minute drive. We will definitely be coming back.

We stayed here this past weekend, it was great. Staff was so friendly and rooms were cozy and relaxing. Its only a few miles away from casino but with out all the busy traffic and noise. Would definitly recommend this hotel. We will stay there again next time we visit. Only down fall is that it is not pet friendly. Was wanting to bring our furbabies next time.

Darlene and Larry Swan run a first class set up here its always very nice very comfortable and clean it’s the best place to stay in Cherokee! Highly recommend I won’t stay anywhere else!

This is a nice, quiet hotel in a good location, close to restaurants, shops, and of course the casino. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We are in 234 and if you like air don't choose this room. We are happy with everything else from the cleanliness and amenities but when we called the front desk there is no fans. Don't exspect to cuddle with your loved one because you will toast in this room.

The casino reserve a large block of rooms for guests. It can be a little bit loud during the night with people coming in and out at all hours. But overall a very nice place to stay.

Nice spacious rooms with desk table, sofa chair and ottoman. Big Jacuzzi tub in bathroom. No coffee at front desk! They said they were out!? Are you kidding me? How does a hotel run outta coffee at 10:30am? Yes, there's single cup coffee makers in the rooms, but not a fan of them.

Superb service. We arrived earlier than expected and still was able to get a wonderful room. Excellent location near restaurants — fast food and diners, gas — right across the street, and various shops — all within walking distance.

The service was okay, but the beds we're kind of hard and the AC was always too cold or too hot. The shower was very sensitive to temperature and the water pressure was pretty low. I've got to say though the view early in the morning of the mountain is so beautiful. You can really see why they call them The Great Smokey Mountains right from your hotel window.

Great place very motorcycle friendly, close to eats and clean, has a pool and laundry facilities. Great helpful staff, seemed generally interested that your stay was everything you hoped. Would recommend in a second.

The Inn has clean rooms and a nice pool! Its one of the oldest, but the rooms have been updated and decent. Over all its not a bad place at all! It fits the area well! The Inn has alot of shopping and food just steps away!

I not very please with this hotel the caniso mess up my hotel stay and still charge my card for 2 night will not book through caniso they on care for you if u stay on caniso hotel very upset no manger call or nothing.

Came here in the offseason. Rooms are a bit dated and not overly clean but acceptable. They have a nice pool in the middle. The location is fantastic, within a few minutes of the entrance of the National Park. Staff were friendly.

Rooms are very nice and up to date. Staff was alright, although they struggled in finding our reservation. Location is nice. Right at the bottom of a large mountain. The overall feel is outdoorsy and comfortable.

I booked a room with Great Smokies Inn through Travelocity and was very excited because most hotels in the area on the date I was booking for was already full. I get to the hotel on the date I thought I had booked to find that my reservation was booked for a different date. The front desk staff continued to process me for a room and I was at the point of signing the papers. I questioned the price of the room because on Travelocity the price was $67. He said the price was $97 and that is when the Manager walked over and said that there were no rooms available. I said what do you mean there are no rooms available, he is assigning me a room right now. She said your reservation was for the 13th and we are booked, we have no rooms. I said, so you are lying to me to my face. If I had not questioned the price, I would be walking up to my room right now. He was just giving me a room. And she said and I'm just taking it back. Well today is Wednesday of the next week and I check my bank statement and guess what, Great Smokies Inn charged my credit card for $98.67. Great service!

Made last minute reservations via Harrah’s. The reservation guy had seemed almost apologetic saying with my calling last minute this was all that was available. I read the reviews and had some concern. However, wife and I had no problem with it. We were happy to get a place to be able to stay overnight, verses having to drive 4 hours home after a night of gambling. Check-in was very pleasant with a young female that was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. There was also a gentleman taking care of other check-ins that seemed to possess the same qualities. Room was clean and meet all of our needs. Beds had to be nearly new and slept as good as any bed I have ever slept in at Harrah’s. No issues whatsoever. Please understand it was a room to sleep in, have a clean bathroom and a little TV. There were no extra amenities (was a nice large outside pool which we didn’t use), no restaurants, clubs or bars. So, if that is important to your stay, this isn’t the place. But if you want a nice clean property, to get a quality night of sleep, I would recommend this property. Upon departure same staff and same outstanding service.

Nice room, comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful on what we needed to see while we were there. The only complaint we had was that they didn't serve breakfast, however they directed us down the road to Peter's Pancakes. We would definitely stay here again.
