Absolutely love this place! Right on the river, clean, very friendly staff, well kept. This will be our go-to place now whenever we stay in the area!

We enjoyed our Retirement Celebration at Rivers Edge Motel! Very quiet even thought we were street level on a very busy highway. Room was very clean. Enjoyed sitting on private balcony over river watching fishermen, ducks & Canadian geese. Centrally located. We were able to do day trips to Maggie’s Valley, Bryson City, Dillsboro, Silva, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and GSM Parkway. Enjoyed talking with Peggy & her husband (owners). All the staff were very helpful & friendly. Will be coming back! 💕🙏💕

Great experience! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Immaculately clean and I am VERY picky about cleanliness. Beautiful scenery from balcony. Screen door allows sleeping with sliding door open at night-soooo nice. Restaurants close by. Even right on the road, room was very quiet. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are less than an hour away with so many gorgeous places to stop along the way! We saw plenty of elk at Oconaluftee just down the road. Would highly recommend staying here and taking in all the sights in the area.

Great staff, wonderful rooms, clean right on the river. We stayed here after our wedding in Gatlinburg in 2012 and plan to come back for our 10th anniversary.

Great location on the river! Very clean and peaceful stay. We had a couple of cow elks walk thru the river around 3 pm Monday afternoon! Amazing animals, very big.

We did a quick one night stay. The staff was genuinely very pleasant and helpful. The room was immaculate. The refurbishment that's been done recently is spot on. You won't see a better refer on a motel like this. Despite being right next to the road after about 9:00 there was hardly any noise and being right on the river for every balcony is great. We'll definitely be back.

We just LOVE it here! One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Front desk is also so friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone visiting Cherokee. Can't wait to go back!

Large, clean room with a balcony overlooking the river. Balcony equipped with table and chairs to enjoy the serenity. Staff was pleasant. Walking distance to shops and Indian Museum. I would definitely stay here again when in Cherokee.

My husband and I love this little motel. Quiet, clean and love hearing the babbling river outside our balcony door. Cherokee will always hold a special place in our hearts. First getaway as a couple and we were married there.

The staff was friendly, the Reno was good, but I still couldn’t get comfortable. I do not blame the motel. The torrent of heavy rain all weekend made everything muggy. We couldn’t get the room temperature comfortable, just too much moisture. The carpets were wet when we arrived. In your next reno, please get laminate or LVT flooring. Easier and cleaner. Better for the motel and better for patrons. No soggy socks. Still one of the best motels in Cherokee. Loved being right on the river. Wi-if was a must, as there was little or no cell signal in Cherokee.

March 21 2019 — Great stay, clean rooms and hot showers! The view and sound of the river had a very calming effect. I highly recommend the Rivers Edge Motel.

Have love this place. Go sit on your own private Patio and relax. Watch families float down River.

We found the staff courteous, rooms spotless, the balcony over the water was so peaceful and entertaining! Walking distance to food, shops, river. Can’t wait to go back.

Love the location, love the atmosphere. Staff is wonderful. Very clean. I was impressed. Only four stars due to no complimentary breakfast. Highly recommend. Will be staying again.

We go to Cherokee every year and always stay at the Rivers Edge. Nice rooms very nice staff and wonderful view the balcony overlooking the river is great set out there with your coffee and listen to the river and watch the ducks.

If you can get a room it's worth spending a few days here. The rates during the week are good but they double on weekends. Small rooms but the view makes up for that. Friendly staff.

Great hotel. Very nice rooms. I was impressed. I just sat in the back amd watched the river amd the tubers go by. Would recommend this place for sure!

A clean room with a view of the river as advertised. The staff here is very accommodating. I will definitely return.

Room was clean but the only downfall was the comfort level of the bed, it was disgraceful! We stayed 3 nights and we both woke throughout the 3 nights with back aches. Even put blankets from other bed on top of the one we were sleeping on in hopes it would make it softer. Other reviews stated the beds were comfortable, they must not had stayed in room 107.

Can’t go wrong. Convenient, welcoming and quiet. Rooms are updated and clean with balconies overlooking the river. It’s 20 minutes from Maggie Valley and a beautiful 45 minute ride to Gatlinburg, TN down 441. Many great restaurants and shopping close by. They answered all questions and accommodated all requests with a smile. We will be back for sure. My only one request 4 pillows per bed :-)

This is my favourite place I have ever stayed! The lady in the office was welcoming, the room is lovely, clean and has every thing you need (coffee, hair dryer, fridge, air con). But the best part is the balcony over the river. The motel is built on the edge of the river and I think all the rooms have their own private balcony with glass door leading out from the room. Its well covered, we had a pretty bad thunderstorm last night and I was able to sit out without getting rained on. We even went to get takeout and brought it back to eat on the balcony instead of going to a restaurant. Would definitely recommend staying here if you've visiting Cherokee.

Very clean, comfortable beds, lovely location and the beautiful river adjacent to every room. Enjoyed the coffee in the room and comfy chairs on the balcony. My only feedback is I felt it was a bit over priced given the time of year and my toilet was a little bit wobbly — needed to be tightened.

Where to begin? Staff is sweet and honest. Rooms are clean and the beds are out of this world. The sliding glass door opens to an awesome view of water and wildlife. Coffee maker and frigerator in room. Walk out your door and boom places to eat things to do. Stayed 2 nights for a romantic getaway anniversary with huspand. Will go back next year. Dont think twice book your room today.

The only down side of this place is the parking. I spent 2 days here and loved every second of it. It's conveniently located to everything the area has to offer and the view from the private balcony is outstanding.

Front desk was friendly and helpful. The beautiful riverside rooms were inviting and Comfortable. I loved having a sliding glass door that could be left open to hear the river at dark. This will be the only place I will stay from here on out!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. Beds were very comfortable, service was great, rooms were super clean and the private balcony over the river was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again.

The associates were very welcoming and providing, the motel itself is right by the river, and you get an amazing view. Housekeeping was very good. The bathroom, although small but accommodating, had no bath mat, therefore someone fell as soon as they got out of the shower and had to go to the emergency room. There are mini fridges, TV channels, and a working shower with hot and cold water. Overall, the motel was pretty good, service-wise, associate-wise, and view-wise.

Rooms were very clean. Very well kept. Looked new. Beautiful to sit on the balcony and watch the water and ducks. Limited parking right on the road but plenty of spaces just watch your step. My only problem was we needed a bottom floor room but for some reason could not get one. We arrived on a Thursday at 3pm for 2 days. If you have any kind of medical problems and need a lower floor you may not get it. I explained this to the lady she just said sorry. There booked. For that reason only we will not be back. They still have the old key lock system. It is a perfect place as long as you don't need a ground floor. No elevator and two sets of steps to go up.

Great spot along the river in Cherokee with several local spots for great breakfast. This was our second time starting here. The is some road noise as but it was minimal since this was off season. Great view of the river! We'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed over labor day weekend. I loved my stay, nice clean stocked rooms. Nice friendly staff. If I needed anything they said just ask. The balcony was amazing, watching the water and feeding the ducks. The fishing by the river my husband and my boys loved. You could walk to stores and attractions. Would and will stay there again.

We just stayed there June 14 + 15 of 2016. The staff is VERY friendly and nice (amazing). The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, mini coffee pot & fridge work great too. I have to be careful where I stay due to severe allergy problems, HAPPY to say I had no problems at all here. We are definitely going back to trout fish and enjoy the reservation. My wife was so relaxed sitting on the balcony watching the ducks and hearing the water. It is true the parking for your car is tight but we're sure they can't help that. 5 +++ stars for this place.
