Beautiful, cozy, iconic small town hotel, with some cottage lodging, backyard lounging. Am looking forward to hopefully hosting some events here for the 2019 Summer season.

Hands down best dinner experience we have had in a long time! Every single dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The service was phenomenal. Loved the outside space where our table was. It was really relaxing and gorgeous. Will definitely be back again soon.

Absolutely love this place! That it's pet friendly is everything! Could stay in the back yard, enjoy drinks and look at my dog run all day!

This is the quintessential New England inn – carefully updated. Located in East Hampton, almost at the tip of Long Island’s south fork, you are only a few miles away from Montauk lighthouse and its quaint fishing village. (Nice local oysters, beer and clam chowder. ) Swedish-born Jenny Ljungberg has done a fantastic job with her hotel. The décor is stylish. (If you’ve heard of Svenskt Tenn, you know what I mean. ) The restaurant offering is superb, including a breakfast buffet with homemade granola and butter croissants to die for. My ladyfriend and I visited the first weekend of December, so the fireplaces in the common areas were pleasant to sit by and sip local Cabernet Franc and read. The themed rooms are great! (Some even have working fireplaces; all are equipped with organic amenities and beauty products by Jenny’s husband, Jonathan Baker. ) We stayed in a really cool and cozy one inspired by the Norwegian adventurer and ethnographer Thor Heyerdahl of Kon-Tiki and Ra fame. It featured a canvas-sail bed canopy and a huge Victorian bathtub right in the bedroom. We understand you can borrow bicycles and head for the beaches in the summertime. Plus, the vehicles are supposedly a practical way to get around congested Hampton streets in high season. We opted for taking the tiny car ferry via Shelter Island over to Long Island’s north fork and do a winery tour on our own. Fabulous produce – it is said the terroir is a sibling of France’s Bordeaux region, and I believe it.

I am here often but tonight when I sat in my usual spot in the parlor area, they removed a dirty glass from the previous guest that they knew wasn't mine, then they placed my silverware in the same spot without wiping between customers. Disgusting! And this was after the staff appeared confused about who serves that area. Another time ago was service mix up but they asked me to give them another chance. I did return and it was fine but now this… and when I complained politely about this, it fell on deaf ears. Then when they came back they still left it unwiped and were abiut to place new silverware on the still unwiped dirty table. When I made a 2nd fuss they took care of it but still. Normally I don't bother reading reviews about a place I normally like but I did tonight out of curiosity and saw the common "bad management underpinning" Maybe I'm starting to outgrow coming here?

Great restaurant inside. Nice bungalows around the property. Think its ment to be out dated. I was in the saarinen room. All mid century modern. Don't pass on the pickled fish at the breakfast.

This hotel is a complete joke. Aside from the extremely tacky and old design, the service is completely non existent. The front desk is always left unattended and you cannot get any sort of service or help with your stay whatsoever without waiting for hours. The continental breakfast that is included is also laughable. Rolled up deli meat and stale croissants and nothing is kept refrigerated or on ice. The worst part is the hotel manager, Indira, who is possibly the least hospitable host that I could ever have imagined to run this hotel. She alone made our stay very unenjoyable. I was ready to leave after the first night but unfortunately we were committed for three whole miserable nights costing $800.00 each and there was no way out of it but to stay and try to have a decent time despite all of the miserable decor and experiences. On top of all of that, the hotel is very small and they decided to do construction or updates of some kind every morning starting at 6 or 7 am so we were kindly woken up by the very loud sound of a drill and electric saw every morning. Indira was unapologetic as always. Don't stay here if you want to enjoy your Hamptons experience. There is the 1770 House down the street and even if you pay a little more to stay there it seems a lot more hospitable than wasting your money at the Maidstone.

My wife & I recently had the opportunity to stay at this lovely Inn and enjoyed every minute of it! This is quite the boutique hotel where the staff was exceptional, the restaurant delicious and the rooms unique in every way; the perfect setting for a Hamptons weekend and they love dogs too!

Sad excuse for a bed and breakfast. Rude staff, exorbitant prices, a 15 minute walk from anything, rooms that could be mistaken for linen closets. Why would you possibly stay somewhere like this?

Maidstone is no longer Maidstone Arms. New ownership. Charming on the outside, deco and funky on the inside. B&B style with Ritz prices. Small bedrooms with small bathrooms. Housekeeping not included. Had to pay additional $25.00 a night for room to be cleaned and bed to be made. Restaurant service was slow and incompetent. None of the staff seem to know what they were suppose to be doing. This establishment needs a lot of fine tuning. I would not recommend even for the convenient location. Where are you new ower?
