Review of Hotel Edison Times Square 3*

DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff are very rude and aggressive towards their guests. On the morning of the 20th of December, we were awoken to loud crying and screaming from what we believe was a women and could hear slapping. We tried calling reception on two occasions to report this, however the phone wasn’t working which is a disgrace as if there was a urgent emergency how would you get in touch with them. We went downstairs to reception at 2am to report this to the security and was told to go back to our room and stay there. We never heard anything back from security whether it was safe or if the women was okay, we then heard disturbed noises again at 5am from the same women. When we checked out we reported this and the women on the desk was very rude saying the phones were working and basically accusing us of lying with no regard for how we or the women in question was. We requested to speak to manger and she approached us with another man who was deputy of security, they were patronising and again accusing us of lying, stated there was no reason for us to feel scared or unsafe, that we aren’t physically hurt, to which we said it was mentally disturbing and they told us to “get away with that”. The manager and the deputy of security proceeded to shout at us in the lobby and laughing due to twisting our words. Security didn’t do there job as they should of as we were told they should have reported back to us and made a note of the incident, they didn’t do either. This makes me question whether it is actually safe staying at the Edison if security can’t even do there job properly. This kept us awake all night and felt scared as we didn’t know what was going on, however the staff did not care and just wanted us to pay our service charge. There are so many other things wrong with the hotel the rooms are dark, small and cracking of the paint from the walls. I do not recommend anyone going here and will never be returning.
