Upon arriving, no staff was around at all to help me check in. I had to find someone in the janitorial department in order to get someone at the front desk. We finally got situated in the room, which at first looked nice. I had to go downstairs to get ice but upon exiting my room, there was a very strong odor of marijuana and tobacco (the signs say it’s a “butt free establishment”). I didn’t say anything — I just let it slide. My girlfriend and I left for the evening. We returned after dinner to find the fridge In the room never went below 70°. Unfortunately we had brought back leftovers. The following morning I had dropped an earring beside the bed, I looked under only to find a lovely crack pipe and a roach clip. Literally never staying in this trash den again and I certainly recommend whomever is reading this to follow me as well.

I’ve stayed several times in this hip hotel. I love it so I keep coming back. I’ve also stayed at the Brooklyn location. Both are very close to shopping, restaurants and the subway. The staff is extremely friendly!

Great staff and the room was pretty spacious for NY. Just booked my parents weekend. Only negative. No breakfast and restaurant on site. Also the towels were so rough.

We had the most amazing time, staff are fabulous. Clean rooms, great bar area, lovely court yard to chill in the evenings. Highly recommend, easy reach to subways and 911 memorial & Brooklyn Bridge.

Updated room and comfy bed. It has a small wine cooler refrigerator and one bottle of water. Front-desk has friendly and professional staff. Platinum members get free breakfast. Location is great, 5 minutes walk away from Fulton station. Definitely will come back again.

Loved evertyhing about our stay at Aloft-Manhattan Downtown. The perfect location is a given — near the 9-11 Memorial, St. Paul Cathedral, etc. Etc. The place is very clean and modern, fresh scent that greets you at the lobby makes you feel welcome and at home already. Most commendable are the hotel staff, especially the lovely Ms. Michalyn. She was so efficient and accommodating, did her best in finding our big group adjacent rooms in a busy season. And we understood perfectly when she couldn't find any. She was still so sweet and fresh-looking, yet very professional even thru the end of her work shift.
We highly recommend staying at this hotel to all NYC 'holidayers'.

This was a great stay! Hotel was very clean. We booked this hotel for my daughters 13th birthday, they decorated the room and left her a little gift of cupcakes! We booked this hotel because it looked very trendy that a new teen would love and it didn’t disappoint! Thank you to all the staff for make this special!

A very nice hotel tucked in tightly. Very nice and relaxing to walk into; we never felt rushed. Nice decor and kept nice & clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Little shops, Starbucks, CVS and subway close by. Definitely recommend!

Hot water cold water regulator was off its game but they were very concerned to fix it. Room was smaller than last one we stayed in by about 3 feet, but we were only there to sleep so not a bad deal. Great location. Very nice staff. Cucumber and lemon water was refreshing after a busy day sightseeing.

This was my second time staying at an Aloft hotel, first time at their Manhattan location. I find their prices reasonable considering the area, and the proximity to subway stations was a huge plus. I wish we could have gotten a confirmed early check in since we had an event to attend, but it helped that we could "check" anything we didn't need for the event at the hotel. The free to use business center also helped with some last minute preparations and the staff was very helpful answering any questions we had. The room was on the small side but for a one night stay that didn't bother myself or my boyfriend. It was clean and very comfortable to come back to after a long day in the city.

This was a clean and quiet hotel. They have a little cozy club in the back of the lobby. A nice place to have a few drinks and mingle. My room was extra clean and the climate control gets very cold. The bed was very firm and comfortable. Didn't really have a nice view but all the other amenities made up for it. I will definitely come back to this hotel!

This is the place for me. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat if you plan on using the subway, you can get to Brooklyn, midtown or Harlem directly from Fulton station right next door. The rooms are spotless, minimalist and very up to date.
Dogs are welcome!

This hotel was pretty nice. It is a budget hotel so there weren't any amenities like a pool — but who comes to new York for that? The location was convenient as it was a short walk to the subway. But the area is deserted at night so it can feel sketchy walking there at night.

Stayed here for a week long vacation in New York. Not only is it a fantastic hotel, but it's in the perfect location for tourism. Only a couple blocks from Ground Zero and not a very far walk to get to Wall Street or the underground subways to go elsewhere. It's a very tall hotel and an easy in, easy out kind of style. They have very kind staff, keep the entire hotel very clean, and the first floor has some great areas for night events~ it's also right next to some of the greatest restaurants I've personally ever been to, like Rozellas Pizzeria!

I could barely walk around the bed to reach the remote control. The bed nearly covers all the tiny space and it’s impossible to walk around the room normally. You have to walk like a crab! The only thing I liked about this hotel was the rooftop bar. They also don’t have parking or valet as far as I remember. They have an agreement to get a discounted rate at a parking garage which is a little too far from the hotel. I’m not sure I’ll book a room the next time I’m visiting NYC.

They front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel had a bar on the main level and a patio outback. They sometimes have live performers and always have games available. The rooms were clean and more spacious than I've experienced in other NYC hotels. The hotel has fun lights/decorations making it a unique and positive vibe. The elevators were quick and efficient — again this has been a gripe of mine at other NYC hotels that I really appreciated at Aloft. Its a great location — walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty/Battery Park, 9-11 Memorial, city hall, and wall street. Its on a quiet street, so while you are close to so much — you can actually sleep at night (again — this was better than I've experienced at other hotels in NYC). Also, this is very convenient to the NYC Subway and there is parking next door (same side of the street) — the parking attendants were professional, efficient, and friendly. A really great experience all around.

This hotel is in a great location for access to multiple subway lines, 9/11 memorial, and the financial district. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are typical NYC small, but the bed is comfy and the room has the amenities I need. Wi-Fi is excellent.

Very dirty. I guess this is what you get for the cheaper price, but I would definitely not stay here again, no matter how cheap. Rooms are very poorly lit, but not enough to keep from seeing all the dust and dirt. The gym was completely filthy, the elliptical covered in dust. When I alerted management, they attempted to clean some of the dust off the elliptical, but there was no change to my room. Definitely do not stay here if you are allergic to dust mites or if you are a clean freak.

One of the few Aloft hotels that I've stayed in that didn't feel obnoxious. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was small but well laid out and the location was super quiet at night.

The ac in the room keeps the room at 74 even though its 40 degrees outside. Ive asked the front desk about this and was told its working fine… the wine cooler also is hardly colder than room temp… the aloft in brooklyn was way better… Edit: Was a 2 star. Moved it to a 3 star but afterthe comment I just read from the owner is a one star. The manager made contact with me and fixed a few issues I just wish it was corrected while on the visit. But since reading the reply from the owner ill never stay at an aloft again… I did use the controls on the fridge and it would not get colder because it was broken… also before you decide to be smart and and reply to a comment being a jerk contact me directly. I left out that the shower also smelled like mildew and mold maybe you can see if the button on your maid service works better than the one on the fridge.

I was in NYC for a film shoot in City Hall Park, and we had some space reserved at Aloft for downtime. The staff was great, accommodating, and friendly. The room was nice, and the location was great for all things financial district. And the World Trade Center is literally a minute walk away.

A youthful hotel with extremely friendly service. The rooms are clean, the furnishing is new. It was our first time in the US and we didnt have a power plug adapter yet. I asked the lady at the front desk where I could buy an adapter and she just handed me a spare one over that lay in one of the drawers of her desk. She told us we can keep it. We had a wonderful time in new york.

Great place to stay when discovering NYC. Michalyn made us feel very welcome. Aloft offers good music, Cool colours, nice rooms, a good bed, a super shower. Great jungle bar & pool table. Nice breakfast bar. Don’t hesitate & book it :-)

Overpriced, really adequate for young couples or groups to come drink and party. We got marijuana smell in the middle of the night. Doors were slamming all night of people going in and out. We called about the smoke and someone came around checking but no follow up call. Some random person not dressed in uniform came to bring us towels we didn’t request. The room was clean. The room was handicap accessible and we didn’t ask for that. The Frontdesk personal were all very impersonal. The room and the water in the shower was cold. And we were excited about breakfast in bed and the butler service they had only took orders by text message and we never got confirmation so we called and they said system is down. Then when we finally place an order they barely have any breakfast food at 9am. Not pleased with this place and won’t be staying there again.

We walked in and I felt like I was in a TRON movie, Daft punk was blasting, pretty cool introduction. Small rooms, but not much expected for NYC. Cool concept. Right next to the WTC.

Very well connected by metro, very close to two major stops. Without many services, but very good rooms. If you're going to kick the street, ideal.

The hotel was clean and the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. I was Lucky to have stayed for 1 night. I Am already silent about the fact that the door to the toilet is symbolic, with a closed door there are 2 cracks, no privacy, no shampoo, only shower gel, water from the shower poured into the hallway, no duvet cover.

Stayed here a couple of times. Slightly difficult to find since it's located right in the middle of a very small, narrow street. Fitness center was very small and only had two treadmills and one elliptical. Staff was courteous for check in. Rooms are extremely Smalls but that is expected for hotel in the financial district at this category level. Would probably recommend staying at the Sheraton four points a few blocks away which is usually at a similar price point but has a better gym, location, and doesn't feel as cramped.

Room was a little small, but very clean. Loved the location! Staff was fantastic and helpful. Short walk to Wall Street and WTC. Hotel has a bar and a pool table too. I️ will be staying here in my next trip to New York City.

Hey bro had quite a bit of hair on the floor when I arrived. Some other things didn't feel entirely clean. The roads are modern in the hotel itself is nice. Arriving in a small street that appeared like an hour in the movie off a bit. I don't know if I necessarily stay here again.

The location was very accessable! The room was a bit small, but had everything we needed for a peaceful night with our normal Aloft expectations. The team was able to answer all of our questions and help us explore more of the town!

Very nice hotel! Tucked away. Very comfortable beds! Room was clean. I loved the karaoke and happy hour downstairs! So much fun. For a small hotel the room I had was a nice size, typically New York hotels are not spacious at all. The staff was friendly and very quick to work with. Overall had a great stay!

It is small and super basic — bed was comfy. The downside: the room we stayed on was on the 7th floor overlooking a lovely parking lot. The weather was a bit chilly, and we attempted to turn on the heat — it smelled like urine. Terrible! Sometimes the water that came out of the faucet smelled like sulfur a. K. A. Fart like…

Nice hotel rooms, bigger than expected. The lower level has games and a nice chill area. Only thing I don't like is the front of the hotel, across the street there were a bunch of trash bags, not the hotels fault, but the street could definitely be nicer.

The hotel is cozy but the rooms are quite small. Our room was quiet except the loud neighbors that were smashing door each night after party. We had a wait and they offered a free drinks voucher but the drinks turned out pretty un drinkable however, the bartender was very friendly. Good location, relatively new furnishings. Toiletries are provided.

I've stayed here several times because it is near the client I consult for. Hotel is newer but extremely tiny rooms, even for NYC standards. Front desk staff is super nice. However. They don't clean the showers here. I consistently see hair on the walls. It seems that they just replace towels but do not actually clean the shower.

Had a wonderful time and they were so helpful getting the 17 close together and an adjoining room that was very needed. The rooms were spacious and the tip to this hotel for a bigger room is dont get one that has a king size bed. The bar was great and if I come back to NY I would stay here again.

The service was not overly friendly as apparently they were sold out and that frustrated the front desk staff. I ended up getting a very low level room and they didn't enforce noise restrictions so from the second floor I could hear people playing games and yelling until 2am. Convenient location though.

One of the best hotels I've been. Seemed like we were at home. It's close to the metro (4 different access points), in the middle of financial district, close to the Battery Park, the One World Observatory and Seaport (for cruises). There are Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, a CVS pharmacy opened 24h just around the block and for those who want to enjoy Times Square, they can choose 7 different lines going uptown / downtown in just 15min. Me and my family really enjoyed a lot of stay there.

This place is great… Because of the people who work there… My fiance and myself were treated like gold… Thanks to everyone that works at aloft.

I would give 1 star if it will be about staff! Lady Tatiana was rude, didn't even give me her last name saying it is not necessary, as well she didn't want to provide hotel website when I said I'll leave review about service. They checked us in after 30 minutes of arguing that confirmation number is not enough for prepaid room. Later on I was walking in and didn't see when glass door ended and heated my head to glass wall in front of reception, they didn't even ask if I need help and laughed when I passed by them behind my back! Wow! Should say when we checked out in the morning guy at reception was extremely nice, I wish all staff could be like him because hotel itself clean, nice and pleasant to stay but first impression made by staff was horrible When I asked to speak to manager Tatiana said that manager of hotel is unreachable until Monday and few minutes later they somehow could reach him/her out… intresting style of management.

The bartenders are mind and professional as well as the drinks reasonably priced. But that food order text set up wasn't good at all. I texted the number trying to order food and they didn't ask for confirmation until an hour after I sent the text messages. Ridiculous. It her that on that the hotel itself is beautiful with great and helpful staff.

Hotel is interesting. Modern. There are some nice amenities that I've wished other hotels had. Breakfast selection is acceptable and the rooms are well kept. The showers are extremely well designed and do not feel cramped or cheap. Some staff is friendly while others, even management, are rude and unheppgil.

We visited from Dallas and were pleased with the hotel. The staff was courteous and professional. The location was great. It was near the subway and had great places to eat within walking distance. For the price, this was a tremendous hotel.

The property itself is nice. Lobby and room were cleaned. Hotel workers were friendly and professional. My only complaint is the area surrounding the hotel was thrashy but I guess that's part of rhe New York charm.

The Aloft Hotel we spent the evening at, is located in the financial district, downtown Manhattan. My wife and I were spending two days, one night, in New York City, to visit lo al landmark's. This Aloft Hotel is ideally located for those planning to visit New York City, as a tourist. We were z le to walk to Battery Park to visit the Statue of Liberty as well as walking to the 9-11 memorial. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and pleasant, but the room we stayed in was rather small. This could be due to the fact that a king bed was sqeezed into a space that was desibned for a queen bed set. Overall I would recommend this hotel to a tourist or business traveler. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel/room. Very clean and spacious for NYC. The only reason for the three star is the location. On a somewhat seedy street and quite a ways away from all the shopping hot spots.

Their customer service is mediocre at best. I felt like I was an inconvenience to their staff. The room was spacious and nice so if you're just looking for a place to rest your head in a good location, you've found the right spot. Don't expect anything more.

By far one of the worst SPG hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was primarily focused on having their own personal conversations and not actually assisting guest. At one point I was standing in the lobby with three other guests while the front desk staff was too busy having a personal conversation with her manager. Beyond the horrible staff the hotel itself was run down. Elevators had ripped print ads in them and the floors were disgusting throughout the lobby. When I turned my shower on for the first time, there was a white film that appeared on the floor from a previous guest.

The rooms are small and tight. They don't have cable like HBO and you can't order movies. Staff was cool and they have a great bartender downstairs. The pool table is cool however the sticks suck. I won't stay here again.

Extremely dissatisfied with management at this property. I am a Platinum member with SPG and inadvertently made a nonrefundable reservation with this hotel in error. It would not have been an issue but my business plans changed and I ultimately canceled the reservation. I contacted Aloft about issuing a refund. I did not anticipate any issue because of my Platinum status and my loyalty to the brand. However, much to my chagrin the management at this hotel refuses to look past my status and loyalty, despite pressure from both Starwood Preferred Guest and Starwood Corporate Customer Service, and will not issue me a refund. I am out ~$500 and I have one of the highest statuses with Starwood and spent over $35, 000 at their hotels in 2014 and 2015. If this is the kind of treatment Aloft gives to their platinum guests, how do you think they'll take care guests with no status? Stay. Away.

Room and hotel facilities are very good, location is great and the staff was very friendly. However, we had some issues:
1. Guest of the room next to ours were very noisy, we called frontdesk several times but it was not solve.
2. One night we came back to our room and there was a man sleeping (apparently) in our door, it was solved but for us, traveling with our 2 daughters was a very important lack of security
3. In despite of we pay the hotel in advance, our credit card was requested during the check-in supposedly to confirm but they made a charge for 149, 78 UDS that are still block in our account.
4. Frontdesk booked us a taxi to the airport, we were 4 and with lot of luggage so we ask for a Van, the price agreed was 110 USD cash or 120 credit card. When we arrive to the airport taxi driver said we have to pay 120 USD cash and when we told him we had an agreement for 110 USD he drop of our baggage in the street.

Government employee was going to stay at this hotel and company did a credit card authorization for him to stay. Hotel is claiming it was a prepay booking and charged the full stay and will not refund any of the stay. This hotel is flat out stealing money from the guest. I can see charging one night stay but the full stay when someone does not show-up. Talking with the hotel they were extremely rude and I would highly encourage no one to stay with this hotel.

Staff was really friendly. Room was well priced, if a bit small (but that's not unusual for this area). Great location.

Location is brilliant. Doors that slam easily and AC units in room that don't cool the entire space are less than positive. Great work-out facility, btw. Overall, very comfortable and convenient!

Where do I start? I have to say that I totally agree with the reviewer below about staff attitude. Never mind that I am an SPG member and was kindly asking to be accommodated as such. I was shut down by multiple people on multiple occasions and then Stephanie (manager on duty) seemed to be the only one who was willing to let me finish a sentence. As an SPG member, I would recommend other hotels in the area, notably the Sheraton on Canal Street just a few minutes away. Natalia should either be retrained on good customer service or should be replaced!

This Aloft just opened this week. The rooms are cozy and great for travelers just looking for a comfortable stay without unnecessary amenities. Staff has been delightful and eager for feedback. A great place to see the best of Lower Manhattan.

This hotel is not open yet. However, the attitude of some staff was the worst I have experienced. I got an e-mail that I cannot stay at ALOFT due to some plumber issues just two days before my arrival. Their apology is a reservation in another older and cheaper hotel with 6, 000 additional starpoints. A customer is neither a fool who cannot know the room rates of other hotles, nor a beggar for unnecessary points. A mix of rudeness, arrogantness and indifference to customers.
