Review of Quality Inn & Suites Near White Sands National Park 2*

My husband had work to do in Alamogordo and I went with him for eight days. We prepaid for the room in advance so that we could settle in, which came out to about a good $580, mind you, and so I get up the next morning to enjoy the free complimentary breakfast they offer before we had went about our day. So I had went up to the front to make ONE waffle and while that was in progress, I had put a small spoon full of their eggs onto another plate. I brought the food back to our room for my husband so that we could eat together in our room. I walked back to the front to make myself a waffle and I was approached by the lady that was in charge of the breakfast area and she had told me that I could NOT make another waffle/plate because I had already had taken one to my room?! My jaw just dropped and I could not believe what she had just told me. She apologized and said that she wasn't the one who said that, that it was the words from the manager (Janis). I asked Janis, the Manager, if that was true of what she had said and she told me " well you already got a plate and took it to your room! " My eyes started to water and I turned around and just walked back to our room and didn't even get to make a plate for myself! In my 46 years of life, I had never been told that from any other staff members of motels or hotels that we have stayed in as he travels for his job. Also they have a sign in their rooms that says that they only replace towels and linen after every third day of your visit. Also while being there for the eight days, I noticed that the housekeepers DO NOT mop each room with a wash and rinse pattern, they take a Swiffer wet mop and push it around each room, so basically they are smearing everyone's germs back and forth… could you imagine the bacteria that is being spread in each room? I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE! They are rude and it was such a disappointment to stay here, next time we will choose somewhere else to stay!
