Horrible customer service and a scam. I had to cancel unfortunately due to COVID-19, I was really upset and disappointed as it was and then they refused to give me my refund. Took me weeks to get a hold of them I ended up actually having to block my caller ID so someone would answer, then they told me they had to charge me a fee and it was 25% of my deposit which would have been like $50, no they charged me 25% of my entire stay which was like $181, Took me weeks to get a hold of them and then weeks afterwards to get my check, no one ever answers the phone and there is a lady that does answer and you can’t understand her and she hangs up on you very rude and unprofessional. Will not be going back to this place.

Great view that’s it everything else is ok I miss my beach Club Hotel in OCNJ they Ripped us off.

Thank you to the hotel staff that gave my daughter such a hard time about checking in, after reading reviews for this hotel I am glad she changed hotels, I don't need her staying in a place like this glad she went to a clean hotel with friendly people.

The front desk service was phenomenal! Great personality when you are greeted! We are a family of four and the room was plenty big for us. We had a view if the ocean from our room, as well as from the pool! We are definitely planning on returning next summer!

Lets start… Checked in for 2 nights… 7/26/17-7/28/17
1. The keys didn't work on the lock. The door handle had to be cut off for a new lock to lit on… Had to leave room inlocked for two days u til the fixed it.
2. The TV is so old and picture quality was all jumpy. Maintenance had to take the TV for 2 hrs to fix it.
3. Shower has a foot washer and a shower head. Couldn't use footwasher as there was no knob to turn it on.
4. There was another door from another room leading I to our bathroom.
5. Closest had no hangers to hang anything
6. The bed sunk in the center
7. Had a confirmation to check out at 1 and they said no we dont do that even tho I have an email saying ok.
8. Only 2 pillows for the bed no extras on the room.
9. Air conditioner was cold and no control switch in the room.
10. They just say sorry with no offer of compensation.

This place is horrible. I don't even know where to begin. The room is big enough to turn around that's it. If you order food, which you'd have to because there's no way to cook it in the room, you'll have to eat it off your lap on the bed. Or on the toilet because those are the only two places to sit. The office worker is horrible, he's never there. He hangs a sign on the door that says be back at 8 am. Went down several times between 8a-3p and that same sign still on the door. Went and got food later in the day and the sign was swapped from be back at 8 to office is closed for the day. The ice machine doesn't work. The elevator doesn't work. It was supposedly down for maintenance. Didn't see not one maintenance man working on it the whole time. The hot water takes about 10 minutes to finally get hot enough to shower. If you're over 6 foot tall good luck in there. The shower head looks like a garden hose handle. The air conditioning system here is an air conditioner hanging out the window. The towels are the size of hand towels. The only good thing I can say was the maid was very friendly. Now I don't feel bad for not telling the guy in charge he had bird shit on his back when we checked in.

Me and my family stayed there june. 2016.3/4nites… great location. Across the street your on board walk. And beach. Did not move the car at all we could walk to everything or catch tram car. People work at Newport very nice. For what you pay its great. Clean nice pool. Will be back june 2017… thank Enjoy… Steve…

Didn't even get there yet and I hate this place. Let's start with the 14% service fee they charge each time you give them money towards the room. Then when you have an emergency and call to cancel with more then 3 weeks notice they don't refund none of your money. We will be there on the 24th of July, you better hope your hotel is in check and nothing is out of place cause I will be calling the front desk nonstop to be a asshole. ***just checked in*** can't do another review so I had to edit this one. Can't call the front desk to complain cause there's no phone in the room. No place to hang a towel in the bathroom and the TV is some thing from 1980 and the color is horrible. $1000 for 5 days to stay in a jail cell.

First of all, the rooms are ratchet, with rooms that may have been painted, but we're not updated. Old fashioned door handles with old fashion room keys that we didn't feel were secure. The heat didn't work and they were going to send a maintenance person to fix it.
Was told that I could bring my service dog, but when we got there, the owner tried to set all kinds of restrictions but had no clue about service dogs. He argued loudly over his made up rules and refused to look at the ADA website that I had up on my phone.
1: he said that if he wanted to, he could charge us a pet deposit. (He can't. A service dog is not considered a pet. )
2. He argued that a service dog must wear a vest. (Not true. Besides, my dog's vest hadn't been unpacked from the car yet. )
3. He wanted to copy and KEEP a copy of my medical paperwork describing why I need my service dog. (Unacceptable! No one should ever need a keep a copy)!
4: he insisted that I tell him what my disability is. That is against the law.
5. Beside his rudeness. He screamed right in our faces following us to the parking lot as we were leaving.
Will never darken their nasty doorway and would never recommend to anyone to stay there. Stay at the Blue Palm! The staff at Blue Palm are friendly, and the rooms are beautiful!
