Review of Clarion Hotel Palmer Inn 2*

Most horrible hotel experience I've ever had. We arrived on Saturday evening and got our room. As soon as we opened the door there was a huge leak in the ceiling near the bed, water steadily dripping onto the carpet. So, we march back to the front desk and tell them. Onto room It was fine for a few hours, except that I noticed the pen cap on the pen and paper pad that they leave on the nightstand was chewed. The room is dingy, depressing. The armoire is broken, shelves crooked and leaning to one side (these shelves hold the microwave and mini fridge), there are cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and dirt marks on the walls. This is not the worst through. Around 11pm the young people descend. They are next to us, above us, all around us. They are yelling, stomping, screaming, banging into the walls. This is ridiculous I say to my husband. I try to call the front desk, only to find the room phone is not plugged in. There is not even a cord to plug it in. So, I call the front desk from my cell phone and the employee assures us they will help. Half an hour later the animals all around us are getting louder and more belligerent. My husband walks to the lobby and gets us another room (#3). This is a "suite. " Only in this suite the lights on our nightstands don't work, the TV doesn't work and the fan in the bathroom sounds like a lawn mower. It is just as dingy and depressing as the other room. At this point we just want to go to bed so we shut the lights off and use our cell phone flashlights to navigate to the bed. The next morning I go to the front desk to complain. The woman at the desk looks annoyed that I am there. She tells me there were multiple complaints about the "teenagers" last night. I tell her about all the issues with the rooms and she replies that sometimes things are overlooked. Wow, really? Your employees must be blind then. But the owner knocked a whopping $35 off our bill for the trouble. Amazing! I think we should have gotten a full refund. Moral of the story? Stay FAR AWAY from this place. The Bates Motel is far nicer. Pictures attached are from the 2nd room. I will try to attach the videos that I took of our noisy neighbors too. I unfortunately didn't have the patience to take pictures of the 3rd room, but I think you'll get the point…
