Really nice hotel I must say. Not a fan of Marriott hotels because they are expensive and basic. Recently renovated with great entertainment. The only negative is how expensive their food is. Toast and eggs is like $17. Really? On what planet? That's breakfast for 2 weeks for goodness sake.

Nice amenities with better food and cocktails than I've gotten at other Marriotts. Food was pricey, as is usual for a Marriott. I don't usually eat hotel food so much, but there weren't really other options in the area. The bar got pretty rowdy in the evening if that's your thing. The staff at the bar, restaurant, and desk were really great and friendly. The shuttle to and from the airport was also a plus. In summation: pricey but convenient and comfortable.

Great stay for a short overnight layover. Room service from the bar/grill downstairs was incredibly quick and well worth the price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Airport shuttle every 15 minutes, no reservations needed.

I went to the Marriott hotel last month at the Women's Health fair. My mom an I went last year. They had paint and sip class and much more. I really enjoy myself there. Will go next year.

The dining staff is so nice. I was sick most of my trip and they gave me stuff to calm my stomach. No noise whatsoever from the airplanes and everything was very clean. Only bad thing is the Starbucks inside doesn't do fraps.

Check in was really quick, and the receptionist was very professional. They were also able to easily show us how to get the train into NYC from the hotel. The free shuttle was nice that ran 24/7 from the hotel to the terminals. One thing that was misleading was that it looks like you can walk from the terminal to the hotel, but there actually aren't any sidewalks or safe ways to actually do that. I thought it would be an advantage of staying at this hotel. Also, even if you stay at the Best Western right next to the NJ Transit train stop, you can't actually get walk to the train. You need to get on the airport's AirTrain to access the train platform. The building definitely was older, but they recently renovated, and everything was clean. I didn't see a fridge in the room, but we only stayed one night and didn't need it. Overall it was a good option for the price!

I happened to make a transit at the Newark airport on 04/08/18. Upon arrival, our flight was delayed for 5 hours so my wife and I decided to look for a nearest restaurant to eat and watch our golf game. We called the aviation grill and morning host named Greg made our day. He actually told us to wait for the bus shuttle to transport us to the hotel. We were homely welcomed by him and he gave us a comfortable seat for us to relax, eat and watch the game. He actually would come and check up on us often to make sure everything was perfect. Such a brilliant host. You made our visit to the restaurant a pleasant one. Hoping to make another transit at Newark (smile). Thanks Greg! Overall a perfect stay at the marriott.

Good access for drop off and pick up people very organized.

Great Overnight experience before getting on a plane the next morning early. Stayed on the concierge level with an upgrade and the food was very good. The Staff were super friendly and I got the wOw feeling walking into this higher end hotel lobby. Comfortable beds and clean room, although room size is a bit smaller. FREE shuttle to and from airport as well. Will stay again and highly recommended.

The rooms are modern in style. The bed is pleasantly soft.
And it's very quiet.

Worst Marriott I have ever stayed at. Even though the hotel is only a short parking lot length away from the terminals, it is impossible to walk there without climbing over rails and bushes. The shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes but it felt longer. In short, there is no real advantage to pay a premium to stay at an on-site hotel, since it is REALLY NOT on-site. The lounge was closed Fri-Sun. They made a lame excuse that other hotels have the lounge close during the weekend. I tried to encourage them to check with their corporate since this would be the first Marriott I have been to that do that. The room itself is OK. More comparable to a Courtyard rather than a Marriott. The lobby and common areas are very dated. Next time you are stuck at EWR. Save yourself some money and stay at the Courtyard or Holiday Inn instead.

Clean, comfortable rooms and a great lobby with computers for printing boarding passes as well as checking email. Great staff/check-in process! Bar/cafe on site. Very convenient for the airport, including a shuttle. The rooms were a bit small, though.

Great Marriott right on the airport property. Recently updated, the hotel is bright, clean and modern. Amenities are nice with a great gym and lots of meeting space. They used to have a great indoor pool, but it's now closed. Restaurant/bar is decent, but coffee bar closes early. Shuttle runs continuously to the terminals or you can walk there in 5 minutes.

Went for my daughter's dance competition. Although getting to an airport hotel can be a challenge, the hotel was great. Clean, great service, room met expectations. Nick in the restaurant was friendly and provided great service. No complaints about the hotel at all.

Great hotel for location to Newark Airport for early morning flight. Within walking distance from rental car return. Can get pricey. I enjoy the access to the club on the top floor for snacks and breakfast… due note that alcoholic beverages are not complimentary. Nice sized fitness area, but gets pretty crazy in the morning. Good airport views.

Ample parking and signs guide well to the one who visits it for the first time.

Great place to stay the night before early flight. Rooms are clean and nice. Staff is polite and helpful enough. There is onsite restaurant and room service if necessary. Newspaper could be delivered to your room in the morning if you choose so. They even do have special terminal to print out boarding pass if you need. The only issue I faced is they do not know at the reception how to print stuff from your USB stick. The rooms are pretty small but we did not need more for one night. The decorations and hall are really greatly designed.

Very nice hotel, we had a comfortable stay. The room was clean with usual commodities. We enjoyed being able to connect to Netflix directly on the room TV without needs for our own devices. The people at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful, they made us feel like home while we were there.

The dining area was nice. It was spacious and quiet enough to have a conversation. The food portions were generous and there was a large option on the lunch menu. The service was good and the food was not incredibly expensive.

Nice decor and friendly staff. I found my room to be on the noisy side (I could hear the neighboring television and the individual upstairs walking around) and the room wasnt as tidy as my typical Marriott experience. All in all, a decent stay and ultra-convenient to the Newark airport.

I love what they have done with the reception area. Very elegant and welcoming. There's order to get to the "front desk" without you standing and feeling awkward. Employees move quickly and are pleasant. It's great to see so many different things to do while waiting to take care of whatever you need to. Good job, Marriott.

Perfect for a day trip to Manhattan, we parked the car at the hotel, took the train and went to visit Manhattan. The hotel is very clean and offers a great service. Only negative point, lunch is way too expensive!

Superb room, but Wi-Fi in Lea Rooms offered at a paltry price of 12, $95 per night. Plus the breakfast was very minimalist.

Staff member who greeted us was very friendly and informative. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed on the concierge floor and had some great hor d'oeuvres that night. Food from the restaurant was excellent as well.

Good hotel, although getting to the hotel is a hassle of its own. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious, lounge suite has a good snack hour and good views, plenty of restaurants in the immediate area, the lobby is open and nice. Staff is very friendly and accommodating,

It's an aiport. Planes fly in and they fly out. It has bars and restaurants and chairs. There is a TSA precheck in one location per terminal, so that's kind of annoying but other than that it has all the necessary ingredients to make an airport… well… an airport.

My wife and I stayed here for over a week, for her national conference. Her conference used all of the rooms and the conference facilities. The service and staff were excellent. The ancillary services, restaurants, shopping etc. Are extremely difficult to access from this location. I wouldn't recommend the facility if you are looking for easy access to New York City or any other local attractions. Minimum cab ride to anywhere locally is $25 and a minimum of $80 into NY city, each way. During my stay Marriot was switching their room service and restaurant services over to their new "fresh bites" menu which, in my opinion is a failure on multiple levels. The other challenge was the reception on the TV video system installed throughout the hotel. We stayed in several rooms, from standard to executive suite, and every single one had extremely bad television reception and quality, even though the TVs were brand-new. The head of engineering explained that this problem would be fixed before the end of the year. The reason we stay at the higher-level Marriott, Wyndham, Hilton, Radisson and comparable resort hotels, is for the quality of personal service that we receive during our stay. In my opinion the Marriott Corporation is trying to use convenience, as an excuse to reduce some of its hotel services that require personnel.

The facilities at this hotel are good for an airport hotel and, overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. Although the room is not big, but very comfortable. But the service here is very slow, the food can only be counted, which is my view after eating room service ordering, breakfast and dinner. The concierge here is very enthusiastic and tells me how the taxi route should go, how it is priced, and how the attraction itinerary should be arranged.

Great airport if you're flying to or from the NY area. Convenient access via tram that connects to the Northeast corridor rail system. The airport has excellent restaurants. It is not as crowded as JFK or LaGuardia. The terminals are clean and well maintained. United Airlines serves more destinations from Newark than any other airline in the NY area! Great experience flying from Newark Liberty International Airport!

Good location and convenient. But price is higher than expected and don't like that Wi-Fi not included. In good condition.

My first impression of the Marriott when I first walked in through the front doors it was very clean with a calm setting also the workers were very helpful and welcoming, in addition my uncle came here after he got married they were very accommodating also included a complementary champagne bottle as a token for booking a room with the hotel for his special occasion.

I had an overnight wait for a flight at Newark airport and had to find a hotel. I lucked out with the Marriott. The price was right and is directly next to the airport, very convenient. The room decor and layout was modern and comfortable. I also ate fish tacos at the restaurant in the lobby and was impressed. I would definitely stay there again.

Incredibly overpriced. From the room rates, parking, eating… you better be ready to fork it over. Room very small. The only restaurant, the Aviation Grill, offers $17.00 pancakes, $32.00 for a burger and soda. Went to a local grocery store and stocked up.! No fridge in room either! Word of advice, if you can, stay someplace else. If you are staying over to catch another flight, pack food, and keep your stay as short as possible.

Very nice and clean hotel! Staff was extremely helpful! We did notice a lot of "professional women" if you catch my drift but they appeared very high class and well maintained. Still noticeable and only appeared with men and had no luggage with them. If you can mind your own business and ignore that then you'll be just fine. The hotel itself was very beautiful with excellent customer service. Rooms were very clean, good size spacing, and beds were very comfortable.

When it comes to commodity, this hotel will most likely suit your needs, considering it's right outside the airport. The service was quite good and the rooms were satisfying. My only criticism is directed at the restaurant, due to the fact that the food could've been a lot better.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Unspeakable service. Got bugs from the beds. I am a frequent traveler and stay at 20+ hotels a year.

I tend to take day trips to various cities around the United States and this hotel right on the grounds of the Newark Airport fit my needs nicely. It made for a terrific base of operations as we zipped into New York City and Hoboken using the excellent public transportation available to us. The hotel was clean, comfortable and updated, satisfying the discerning traveler. No, you're not on Times Square, but you are at a convenient crossroads of intermodal transportation that makes life easy to get around. Highly recommended for convenience.

Terrible. The rooms extremely noisy, the worst service I have ever had in a restaurant/bar, slow, rude and incompetent. I will never stay in this hotel again even less recommend it. If you get stranded at the airport better save your money and stay at the terminal, that bad this hell hole is.

I stayed there Sunday night and the room was cool, but that was about it. At 9:45 AM, a housekeeper took it upon herself to try to walk right into our room without knocking first. Luckily, we had the top lock on so she could only open it a few inches. When we opened it, she said that she thought we had left. I am not sure why because we were in there talking and the television was on. Huge mistake and first time that has ever happened to me after staying at hundreds of hotels. When I got ready to exit the parking lot, even more issues. They had not placed a parking fee onto my room bill, even though I was asked did I park when I checked in. The lady at the front desk took my parking ticket and told me to use my room ticket to exit. I had to go back in, stand in a long line, and engage in a ridiculous conversation with a man at the front desk. I told him that I had 100% told them at check-in that I had a car. There were several other people out in the parking lot, struggling to get out. They either had to go back in as well, or use the intercom button to have a debate before they could leave. In other words, the hotel is decent (I have stayed there before) but the service needs to be improved. Dinner in the restaurant was okay but the steak left a lot to be desired. The pancakes were cold during room service the next morning. Another interesting tidbit is that when I tried to post this review while still staying at the hotel, this page was not accessible.
