Great all around service!

We were locked in our room for over 20 minutes. Security finally had to enter the adjoining room to get us out. The sink in the bathroom would not drain. We had to brush our teeth in the bathtub. There were stains on the furniture. And the mini-fridge is stored in the closet. The response from the front desk… they said "sorry" like my kids do when they forget to put their dishes in the sink. I give this hotel a letter grade of D. Lynn B. Luchs Internment in Room 525 on 3/8/22

During my 4 day stay, I noticed how friendly and helpful the staff was. It's awesome when you travel to another coast but yet still feel at home.

Girl named Melissa is super rude! ZERO social skills and acts like she is not paid enough to be patient with customers. I tried to explain my situation, cut me off while I am speaking and made me feel like I am inconveniencing her because I guess she’s too busy with other complaints! She raised her voice at me and when I said you are rude, she said NO I’M NOT! So I asked for somebody to talk to with patience and courtesy! I have a package for a friend who’s staying there and the item is probably more expensive than her 1 month salary and I just want to make sure everything will be handled correctly. The other girl who spoke to me was waaay nicer and patient. Unless you reprimand that melissa to learn to be nicer to customer I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Made a reservation for my active duty son age 20 and was assured he would be able to check in. Called to let them know he was running late and was informed they would not let him check in due to his age. Old enough to die for his country, but not be able to check in to sleep in a warm bed. They thanked him for his service and then left him to sleep outside with temperatures in the 20’s. Happy Thanksgiving from Hilton.

Stood at check in counter for over an hour then they canceled my reservation. Never ever stay at this property!

The Accommodations are excellent. The atmosphere is electric.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Absolutely terrible cancellation policy and insensitive staff considering the coronavirus outbreak. My employer has requested all employees traveling for business stop immediately. I had to cancel my next nights stay and book a new flight home. No problem cancelling my flight but not Hilton. Local staff was not helpful and very insensitive. Hilton, you have lost a former Gold Hilton Honors member. I will never stay at one of your properties again if I can help it. Wake up!

I do love the location and free shuttle to Outlet Mall. Plus very convenient to make a short hop to airport and just a quick train ride to New York City as well.

The last Wednesday of the month Hilton treats its Honor’s Club members to a two hour wine, beer, cheese, hors d'oeuvres reception with a plus, their staff join us. They were so gracious and friendly and the conversations were wonderful. Thank you Hilton!

As a Diamond, for some reason I did not get an upgrade (maybe because I didn’t request one). So the room was lame, even lacking some usual amenities such as Body Lotion or a toothbrush. Also the TV was outdated (not a smart one) even if good in size. But the swimming pool was warm (signage could improve, you see many guests wandering around looking for the entrance), and the bar was excellent. Had a good time.

DO NOT use the PHONE in the room! They just about billed me my $50 security deposit for 3 5-6min phone calls. Other then that, We really enjoyed ourselves.

This was the only airport I'd go to for central New Jersey for eons. Now there's some competition with Trenton, Frontier Airlines. I love Frontier but they don't always go where I wish to go the dates I wish to go so Newark it is. The airport is pretty easy to navigate. It is a little difficult if you have trouble walking distances, but they have services to help you. It is clean with lots of people to assist you if you need it for directions, airport questions etc… I like that you can check your bags curbside. My only complaint is long term parking is so expensive that you have to park off-site if you'll be gone more than overnight.

Brilliant location for Newark Airport. Rooms are well decorated and cleanly maintained. Parking and breakfast is extra but this hotel is well worth the money if you are able to secure a good deal by advance booking, which is what we did. Free shuttle every 20 minutes to the airport.

This is our favorite airport hotel when in Newark. The rates for not only airport parking but the room rate and the service is by far one of the best you will find. The shuttle service is very timely and friendly as well. We will definitely continue to use the Hilton every time we are in the area.

Hilton Newark Airport On July 31, 2018 Tuesday, I made a reservation for 3 persons, for an overnight stay on August 4, 2018; specifying 2 beds and a roll-in shower. The reservation was approved and confirmed on the same date. When we arrived to check-in at about 7:45 pm, I was told that the room I reserved was not available. I was given 2 options: (1) a room with a king bed and add a roll-in bed, or (2) wait for an hour while the occupants of the original room I specified mov…e out and the room is readied. With unhappy temper, I opted for the king bed. We travelled for 3 hours and just wanted to rest for the night. We have to call to have the roll-in bed delivered; and another call for additional towel for the third person (with a hotel named Hilton, wouldn’t somebody have pro-acted and considered the situation? ). Then found out that there is no refrigerator in the room! When we have settled down and are about to retire, we discovered that the toilet is not flushing, with the tendency to overflow. At this point, at around 9:00 pm, we asked the front desk to move us to the other room, for which we have to wait for another 30 minutes. Just like the other room, this one has no refrigerator. Is it the standard in this hotel not to have refrigerators? How can you make right the wasted time and energy we spent just to get the room we initially reserved? Upon check-out, I was informed that our parking will not be charged. Thank you.

The hotel shuttle was especially late which wouldn't have been too unexpected (traffic) but the hotel staff continually said they will be there and that the shuttle is supposed to come every 20 min. Other hotel's shuttles passed us 3-4 times before this one finally came. The desk staff assumed we missed it but we definitely didn't. They didn't have our reservation ready for us or know that we were coming (special reservations) and the supervisor asked if WE were sure we were supposed to be there. Yes. Yes we're sure. The room itself was comfortable no complaints. The hotel is nice. Even has a Starbucks inside.

Great hotel for airport location. Very updated and modern. We were greeted by bellman who helped with bags and waited while we checked in to bring bags to our room. He also helped get refrigerator for our room. Very clean and comfortable and quiet. I also loved the fact that Starbucks is right in the lobby! The shuttle was also very convenient in getting us to airport for our flight.

What started out as a nice place went down hill
After spending the day in New York came back to our room flooded and was told we had to move we had a two bed large room was moved to a one queen room which stunk was moved to supposedly a excetive suite Yea right still one queen size bed no bath tub
Then was finally moved to a room with a tub still one bed and the bathroom was so tiny
I understand it was an unfortunate accident but the way the hotel staff handle it was unaccept…able they kept say we had to go down to desk and get new keys
When my husband said he thought they should comp us a night they said they couldn’t but would get us a Starbucks Not good PR for Hilton As I feel we kept getting down graded Maybe we will here from a Hilton now and be compensated.

Was very disappointed at my last stay my room wasn’t ready, someone in the room next to me kept slamming there door and closet, my pillows had and odor, sheets had a yellow stain on it and found little black things on my sheets.

Well maintained, Great staff. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile, the door was held for me. I was thanked for being a diamond member. I really enjoyed my stay. The reasons I didn't give 5 stars was these. My electronic key card didn't work. When I arrived I bypassed the desk and went right to my room. The key didn't work. Had to go back down stand on line and get a physical card. The gift shop/pantry hasn't been restocked in a very long time. My charger died, the staff explained that they normally had them for sale but… I know these are minor things but that's why I have 4 stars instead of 5. BTW the restaurant is excellent and service superb.

Parking is a pain. Took me 20 min to find a spot they should have proper sign boards for Parking in open lot. The staff & reception we're courteous and helpful. I was attending a seminar, the hall rooms & ambience were gr8. Although the location is shady & nothing to do outside the hotel.

Close to the airport. Welcoming staff. Luggage hold! Not only do they have a bar/restaurant but a nice little cafe as well. The rooms are clean with plenty of amenities and comfortable beds. Good for layovers, business trips and a shirt visit. Not much around nearby to stay longer then a few days.

Excellent room comforts. Lounge drinks and food was very good. Service was great. Parking was worked out ahead of time since we were traveling and leaving our car! Very nice facility and staff!

Very nice stay. Chinese delivery late at night locally. Great coffee shop for the morning with sandwiches. Staff friendly and courteous. Phone key card available for ease of check in.

Conveniently located, pretty nice rooms but reaching out the hotel from the Terminals is just a pain. Allow min. 40min to 1h before getting in.
You need to take air train first to the lot where all hotels shuttles pick you up. Shuttle runs every 20 min from the top hour. Ride takes circa 10min.
No Wi-Fi and no one to help you out down there.

Beautiful property with excellent service, very comfortable rooms and free airport shuttle service (15-minute ride to/from every 20 minutes). Very good room prices on line. Worked great for a long layover.

Location can be far from restaurants and all. It does provide shuttle to the airport every 20 minutes. Easy access for pick up and drop off. Rooms are nice. Front desk is very friendly.

The staff is professional and friendly. The gym A+++ perfect if you are doing circuit training. There are mats, balls, weights, and plenty of mirrors to spot yourself during workout. The breakfast team is nice. There is one woman who refreshes the food and greets everyone and has such a positive attitude. Free wall st journal and nice Starbucks lobby bar. Great way to start a day.

The bathroom in was dirty went on my B-D weekend March 3-4, 2018 our glass window out side was dirty smh, no microwave in room & a college like small refrigerator only soda & water bottle or Sandwich can get there! But the view was nice!

Stay here semi-regularly for work. Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly. Great breakfast buffet with both hot and cold foods. Shuttle to airport comes every 20 min and from there it is easy to take the train downtown.

Didn't stay at the hotel but used their garage for long term parking when I was traveling. Kept my car secured in underground garage and was very affordable. The reception desk staff were super friendly. They also have a shuttle to and from Newark airport running every 20 minutes.

12/15 update: Still great place to stay. Beds are comfortable. 10/5/17 Update: Rooms on the 10th floor for Hilton honors members seem to be refreshed. Beds are comfortable. Gym is pretty good with new dumbbell sets. Treadmills are very good. Pool looked nice and well maintained. Direct TV had 40 channels to choose from. Restaurant has good craft beer options. Burger was top notch. Original post: Rooms are a bit old and could use some freshening up. They do have a decent restaurant on site.

Good airport hotel. As with most hotels very close to the airport, there aren't many food options. That's where a good hotel bar/restaurant comes in handy. Their bar serves a GREAT burger. Beers were cold… What more do you want. Plus the rooms were comfy with slight styling queues to modernized them. Good stay.

The attitude of the people that are supposed to help you as a paying guest is unacceptable. I called numerous times after no one called me back concerning a certain issue. I was straight forward and polite and the girl on the phone constantly interrupted me and then hung up on me. This is why I will no longer be using my Hilton "membership" and just stick with hotels that have better staff and room that don't have dust all over the place behind the tv, dressers and on top of surfaces higher up. Hilton used to mean something good… Now it just means they don't keep their word and hang up on you. I'm honestly disgusted.

Stayed here two nights for a choir competition in NYC. I have to say, I really liked our room, it was plenty big enough for the four of us and the beds were very comfortable. The food we had in the morning was great, and It was nice to have a Starbucks right there if we needed a coffee or something like that. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent Parking service available.

I really liked the food and drinks hear. The room was clean and well stocked. The only strange thing was that the bed had top sheets for everything, no duvet or fitted bottom sheet. I also would have appreciated a hot tub, but for an emergency stay after a flight cancellation this was refreshing. Good service, great shuttle.

The airport shuttle was nice. The bed was comfortable. The hotel appeared clean. The breakfast restaurant service was terrible. Unfortunately that restaurant leadership may need some training on teamwork and effective communication with his staff and patrons. Too bad really. Once I was finally had my order taken and my meal served, the food was good.

I used the Hilton Hotel's long term parking while away for two weeks. The parking lot is safe and clean. The staff are very helpful and polite. And the shuttle bus to the airport was on schedule and quick.

From my point of view there were two experiences with the hotel; first the conference side of things was nice and smooth. Rooms were prepared, audio and video was adequate it went off well. Then there was the guest room side of things. The rooms had a musty odor to them, lighting was sparse and dim. The bathroom layout was awkward as the door opens into the tub, however the most important detracting factor was maintenance. My room and a few other guests I spoke with all had barely functional air conditioning units. I struggled to keep my room below 78, and when the maintenance tech showed up all I was given was a confirmation of the fact that the unit was not working well. The same thing occurred for the shower and it's inability to drain. The shuttle driver from the air train pickup was less concerned with guest service than speaking with her friends, and was content to allow myself and another party to load the shuttle with our bags and the bags of other guests so she could keep chatting. All in all the hotel feels as if it's focus is on the banquets side of the business and its core of guest experience is secondary to them at best.

The hotel is located very near to the Newark Airport and also offers free shuttle service every 20min. The rooms are good and functional. I would like to point out that there is nothing fancy or upscale about this place but it's a great place to stay for business. Breakfast buffet spread is quite good and there is also a Starbucks inside the hotel. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. I stayed here for a week in April 2017 and would definitely consider this place to stay for when I visit NJ again.

I won't go back there… Diamond Honor members beware… A couple bottles of water and coupon for the breakfast buffet, which I've had better at the Hampton Inn… No Hilton Honors lounge, and not even a drink coupon to compensate for that fact. Food at the bar was mediocre at best, weak drinks, and outrageous prices for all of this! I felt like… Here's your sack with 2 bottles of water, now go to bed, get up and get out! Most unfriendly (less than) full service Hilton hotel I have ever had the dis-pleasure of staying!

The staff is great and very helpful. I'm getting married and we're having one of the events hosted at the Hilton as well guest accommodations. So far, so good!

Decent enough hotel. Easy to check in and out. Only stayed a night so I was close to EWR for my early flight and their free shuttle and Starbucks on site where a huge help.

Not a lot around the hotel. But the shuttle to the airport runs often and the rooms are clean. Bar is pretty nice with decent food. Basic Gym and an indoor pool. Good place to stay before or after a trip out of ewr.

The absolute worst stay I have ever experienced! When I booked my room the attendent stated that it was free continental breakfast, which was a lie! It ended up costing me $21 per person and it was not that great! I specifically asked if the hot tub was working and was told that it was only to get there and find out that it had been broken for a while. Just lie after lie, bed was uncomfortable with a cheap thin comforter. Unless you have to be near the airport save yourself the time and book elsewhere!

Good location, and incredibly quiet for being so close to both the freeway and the interstate. There were some odd gaps in the service that keep me from giving it 5 stars (housekeeping left room without towels and it took 2 calls to get towels; service at breakfast buffet was great 2 mornings and non-existent the 3rd morning)

Was dissappointed with the room tbere were no toiletries mini fridge was not full and was changed for a water I did not take had some issues contacting room service at one point too.

This hotel is very nice and has a convenient hotel shuttle bus to get you from Newark International to and from. Both shuttle drivers we had were friendly, helpful, and prifeddional. There are no amenities around there so you will need to eat at the hotel's restaurant or bar. The food is extremely expensive, but that is actually expected isn't it? Our server was a bit obnoxious and knew nothing about the wines, of which started at $15 a glass. I used my tablet to investigatr the wines myself. He also rush me into making a wine decision, stopping at our table 3 times in 5 minutes while I was deciding. Otherwise the room was great and the service from the desk staff and bell hop crew was outstanding.

Location: horrible! It is located right in front of a cemetery. It is very creepy. Parking: $$$$$ 20-30 for your stay despite you already paying for the room. The parking garage is far from the building. Parking is hard to find because they share it with the airport and other hotels. Wifi: it DOESN'T work in the lobby or in the room Service: it was not remarkable for the Hilton's reputation. The staff was not pleasant or attentive. Building: older and not modern Distance from New York: 1 hour 30 min and it is very difficult to get there. It is not cheap to get there. I took the shuttle to the airport, then got on the AirTran, x then took the train into New York. The AirTran stops running at 1am. Room service: it is not 24 hours and it does not have the full menu at night.

My husband and I planned to fly out of the country from the Newark airport and were excited to find that the Hilton had a park and fly package where we could leave our car for a week. We were disappointed to find that the hotel is difficult to drive to and the entrance is very poorly marked. The hotel charges you for everytehing! Beware that if you are a standard overnight guest, there is a $20 per night parking fee and that if you would like to use the Internet, there is an additional cost. Our flight was early in the morning so at 4am we were waiting for the airport shuttle with some other hotel guests when what was clearly a prostitute and her pimp? Bodyguard? Joined our group in the lobby. The prostitute waited with the rest of the people in the lobby (looking awkward) while her companion chatted with the receptionists at the front desk. Neither carried any kind of luggage. There were about a dozen people in the lobby waiting for the shuttle including families with children. Needless to say, we were disappointed to see this happening at a hotel like the Hilton where we were paying a room cost of $200 per night.

All the linens have a pretty bad smell, so much so, it can be hard to fall asleep. Shower drain is backed up so I get to stand in my own dirty water. Toilet runs nonstop. Typical overpriced restaurant. Staff seems to be trained to treat people different depending on how nice their clothes are.

The room was fine, the location was a little weird to get into the parking lot (tight turn). The service was fine.

This hotel is by far the WORST I've ever stayed in. $15 a night for OPEN lot parking. $23 if you want to park in a garage. You have to PAY for Wi-Fi (hi it's 2015 — Wi-Fi should be a given). $20 per person for a breakfast buffet. We were woken up at 3:30 a. M due to kids pulling a fire alarm. Made to evacuate and stand outside until 4:00 a. M — no apology, no "sorry here's a free breakfast voucher" nothing. Hey Hilton, that's piss poor. They have a coffee stand that's open from 5a. M — 12 noon. So for anyone who would like coffee any other time you can order it via room service and be charged THROUGH THE ROOF. A burger and fries was $37. This place is an absolute joke.

The room was very nice and the staff was really nice for the most part. The front desk clerk was very rude to my mother which was unacceptable. At the prices we were paying for every little thing at this hotel I really expected the service to be more friendly. The food was wonderful. The bathroom tiles in our bathroom had mold and mildew. The billing is a nightmare. They charged my room twice, once under my mother's credit card after the room had already been paid for. And got our room service bill all messed up. P. S. The carpet in the rooms needed to be shampooed too.

Dirty sheets ac didn't really work in the first room or the second, but the staff was nice. Food was way over price even for hotel airports.

The decor and quality of the hotel is truly awful. Not at all what I expect from Hilton. And, my room is dirty! I will think twice before booking a Hilton online again.

Stayed here for one night, and had a very good night's sleep. The decor and quality of the hotel is what you expect of a Hilton. The staff was very friendly upon check-in and check-out. I did not go to the restaurant, or have any of the food but the surrounding did look very welcoming. The room and bathroom were nice and I don't have a single complaint. I enjoyed the fact I did not have to get a luggage rack out of the closet since there was a luggage bench already in place, and that there were power outlets all over the room to plug your devices. Whomever thought the layout of the room and their amenities had the traveler in mind, not just for looks. Overall, I had a good night's sleep, with a good bed, linens and temp control.

My family stayed here between connecting flights at Newark. The rooms were clean, updated and roomy. The hotel was very quiet for being next to the airport and the interstate. It was very easy to get to from the airport. We would stay here again.

Had a great experience here with my family. We drove up and needed a safe place to leave the car and travel into the city. The front desk printed off transfer instructions for us, room was clean, and we jumped in the indoor pool while we were there. It's expensive, as everything there is, but we considered it a fair value. Easy to get to off the Turnpike. We went to the Olympia Diner a couple of miles away for breakfast and it was great.

Room was pretty dated. Service was slow. We wanted an extra cover in the night about 9:00pm. We called three times finally cover was delived after an hour. On september 16 th morning about 8:30am, elevator was in service that made us carry lugage all the way down from sixth floor. I would not go back ever again.

I have stayed at Hiltons before and they are usually over the top awesome. At this hotel it seems like you burden the staff by staying there. The sheets are stained and the parking is un-monitored and terrible. I left something in the room and when I called to see if I could get it back I was promptly hung up on and when I called back I was transferred directly to a voice mail with no explanation. I apologize for calling! If you can stay else where do so! One pro was during check in the lady was very polite and friendly but I am afraid she was the only one to do so.
