We had a good size room. And king bed but carpet was musty. Due to storm.

Great location right down the street from the beach within walking distance. Reasonable prices considering the area which again is right down the street from Misquamicut Beach. Good service, all in all it met my expectations.

Nice clean motel that is a 2 min walk from the beach and many other restaurants and stores.

I was there in person to book a specific room. When I checked in, they had given it to someone else. Funny how large the room was (we were in the building closest to the road), even the bathroom was huge… yet the shower was maybe 2' square. You have to step out of the shower to pick up dropped soap. Had a funky smell and was not adequate for a cool evening.

Owner was rude, needs to learn customer service skills badly. She needs to rethink if she really wants to run these motels.

Good location, great staff, clean and neat rooms very good price. I will return.

I reserved a double occupancy room at the Point One Inn on Sunday July 9, 2017 for Saturday August 5, 2017 for 1 night. After providing my credit card info over the phone to retain the reservation I was then given a confirmation number and provided instructions on the number of cars that my guest and I could bring, as well as the hotel’s cancellation policy — I had until July 21, 2017 to cancel the room and any cancellations made by me beyond that date, would cause me to incur a charge. This morning (July 28, 2017) I was told by the Point One Inn that my room was going to be cancelled (BY THEM) because they require a minimum stay of 2 nights. I provided my confirmation number to the man that I was speaking with and he rudely and aggressively told me there was nothing he could do and he was canceling my reservation. A verbal contract had already been put into place on July 9, 2017 assuring me that I would pay the Point One Inn $250.00 + tax to occupy one of their rooms for one night. In a hostile and crude demeanor he then told me to go look for a room elsewhere and that I was not welcome to stay at his hotel. At no point during the phone call I made on July 9, 2017 was I told about the hotel’s policy regarding their right to cancel my reservation at their discretion. For years, I have been traveling to Misquamicut without being presented any challenges from any of the local businesses. I am utterly appalled at the treatment I received by the Point One Inn and its staff.

I booked a room for my sister and her boyfriend for this past Thursday night and Friday night. 3 days before arrival her boyfriend broke his ankle. When they arrived at Point 1, she looked at the room on the 2nd floor which was booked for them and was pleased, but felt that the stairs might be too much for the boyfriend. They gave her a room on the first floor which was not even close to the comfort of the second floor room, it was smaller, even cramped. The owners refused to take some money off the bill due to the size of the 2nd room. I will never recommend this motel and will definitely never stay there myself.

Large rooms, close to the beach and attractions. Kayaks, paddle boat, hot tub, grills friendly helpful staff.

I booked the room on line. I didn't know at that time that my companion was going to have a broken ankle. When we got there she gave me a choice. If a room on the second floor, or one in the back corner. Because if crutches we took the one on the first floor. I asked because this was a down grade if I would get a discount. She said "No you booked on line. " The bathroom is in need of repairs. The room is way smaller then the other. The next morning I went in and talk to the man. He said "You changed your room no discount. " Very disappointed in there customer service. Will not use thug hotel again.

Was exactly what it needed to be. Not a resort by any means but has a bed, a hot shower and is a short walk from the beach and food.

Service was kind, rooms were lovely, location couldnt get any better!

2nd time here, first time the room was ok, this time the room was so outdated, looked dingy, microwave and fridge balancing on nightstand, no coffee (brought my own thank god) I can handle one more night but there will not be a next time, too many other choices for the same price. Resort? Where? Not here, crap they don't even give you tissues! 2 tiny towels, outlets that don't work, oldest tube TV, didn't think anyone still used those! Yea not for me.

Janet, the 1st reviewer is absolutely right. I thought the smell was mold, maybe it was curry, but it was awful. Bed was terrible. Rugs didn't seem clean. Bathroom mat was a square piece of paper. Staff was very friendly. This place definitely needs a complete makeover.

My family and I recently stayed at the Point One resort. Based on the previous review I was very nervous with our reservation here. This however was the last place near the beach that allowed a 2 day weekend stay during peak season and could accommodate our need for 2 rooms. It was here or nothing. Frankly I needed the get away so we took our chances and we were happily surprised. Stagis (the gentleman who met us in the check in office) was very nice. We weren't certain if a member of our party would still be joining us and without hesitation he removed the charge for the extra adult. Ultimately this family member came a day late and Stagis did not give us a hard time with the extra car (3 for 2 rooms) If you have stayed in the area before you know that overnight parking is especially difficult to come by. After checking in he showed us our rooms and when asked if it would be alright to use a small grill we had brought with us he generously offered the full size propane grill and patio with picnic table. Far better choice for a family of 8! Our rooms were sufficient and as explained when reservation was made. 2 double beds, refrigerator, microwave, shower and T. V. I brought my own coffee pot which I prefer over any offered at name brand lodging places anyway. There were no strong smells, no upholstered headboards. The T. V was dated but really? Are you at the beach to watch T. V? So it was a far cry from the previous and outdated review from 2008.

Don't waste your time or money staying at the Point 1 "Resort". To start with, this is about as far from a "resort" as you can get. When you first drive in, you think, well hopefully it's not too bad. WRONG! When you walk through the door to your room, if the smell of curry doesn't knock you over, then the dated surroundings will. The furnishings that include chipped paint, rock hard mattresses and old carpet have most likely been there since the 50's. The headboards are some cracking vinyl material that scared us. The shower curtain was just plain nasty. Let's put it this way, we just won't stay in Misquamicut again, unless a nicer hotel that we have previously stayed at is available.
