The Sydney is great. The rooms are really nice, the bed made me want to throw my own bed away so I can upgrade, and Allison at the front desk was completely pleasant. If you're coming to the Vineyard you really can't go wrong with the Sydney.
Hotel is old and quaint. I think the bathrooms are inadequate. Also, I smelled a horrible mildew scent in my room, and when I complained about it, the owner was not hearing it! Her response to me was, "No one has ever complained about it before. " I decided not to argue with her. A plank was uneven in the floor, which they tried to cover up with a rug, but I continued to trip on it the four days I was there. Also the wallpaper was peeling away from the walls. I was there for business, however, there were no accommodations such as a desk, etc. To work at. At nearly $600 a night, my expectations were more. When I go back to MV, it's definitely not a place I'd stay at again!
