Awful hotel and rude af staff, don't waste your time and $

My husband and I literally just left and we swore that we would take a yearly weekend trip to The Christopher from now on. Martha’s Vineyard is beautiful on its own but this little gem is the cherry on the cake. Marla was there every day making sure that there was delicious breakfast food out and a sweet treat at 3:00. She was friendly and helpful and funny. The Christopher itself is gorgeous. It’s immaculate and it’s in the middle of restaurants and shops and beautiful homes. If you’re planning a trip to MV, we strongly recommend staying here.

This is another Lark hotel which we have come to really enjoy. We had one of the 3rd floor rooms with a double balcony and a king bed. The room was perfect as we were able to enjoy the nice breeze and still see the bay from our balcony. The breakfast is always a delight with serving fresh and healthy options on little dishes. The hotel was a little tight compared to the Lark we travelled to in Newport, but if you can handle it being cozy you will greatly appreciate it. The two ladies that run this hotel are also very sweet and accommodating. Look forward to being back here in the future!

The best general managers ever! We mentioned to them this was our anniversary and my birthday trip, when we got to our beautiful room, they had personalized notes for us with a bottle of wine. The room was extremely clean and the service is outstanding. We stayed at some great places, but we’ve never had an experience like this. Decor is outstanding. You’ve got to stay here!

Can't say enough good things about The Christopher, and it all starts with the co-managers, Juliana and Marla. Two great personalities who handle every detail, including cooking and baking for your amazing little breakfast each morning. The inn itself is beautiful and immaculate… very contemporary, eclectic and fun, it is perfectly located. Right next door you can rent bikes, but the shopping and restaurants are just steps away. You are handed an Ipad when you arrive, which is yours for the duration of your stay, and it has restaurants, sight seeing suggestions and more. There is a beautiful little outdoor sitting area behind the inn, which is private and relaxing and where drinks and nosh are provided by a fire at 3:00 each day. Such a great touch! We were just there for Memorial Day weekend and never wanted to leave. Possibly back in December when the whole town is transformed. Finally, my last tip… save yourself a trip and take two of Marla's biscuits in the morning, you'll definitely want more than one!

The location of The Christopher is virtually unmatched to any other option in Edgartown — close to shops, restaurants and yet one block over to avoid any noise disturbances. My room was exquisitely decorated (loved the designer textured wall paper to accent the space and coordinating details), perfectly clean (I'll admit — because I was so impressed — I honestly looked for dust and didn't find ANY) and comfortably spacious. I stay in many hotels as I have Platinum status at Marriott hotels (at least 75 nights per year) and the thoughtful extras made this stay one of my best ever — anywhere (hand written notes, cleanliness, an iPad sharing ideas of places to explore, aroma of our delicious breakfasts, scrumptious toiletries, soft linens, cozy bathrobe, very comfortable bed, etc). I was also very happy with the in-room bathroom (glass enclosed shower, high gloss chrome fixtures, marble vanity and even a makeup facecloth to wash my day away). Julie and Marla were the most accommodating and friendly hosts. They immediately made me feel welcomed and I appreciated their recommendations, attentiveness and kindness. You have to taste their banana bread and AMAZING warm marshmallow brownie cupcake thing — just wow! There were also delicious healthy items that I enjoyed too (if carbs aren't your thing, don't worry — you'll still be happy). Their friendliness put my entire experience on my best ever list! I will hopefully be back soon.

The place is warm and inviting … like walking into home. Julie and Marla are two of the finest, most professional and talented hoteliers I have ever met. We shall return, again and again.

This is my second year visiting The Christopher/Sydney. I visited this property numerous times before being purchased by Lark Hotels. The renovations are wonderful and much needed but the stars of this B&B are Julie and Marla. Anyone can be an innkeeper but not everyone can treat you like a guest in their home by making you feel welcome and like you are their best friend. Julie and Marla are AMAZING! They genuinely and truly love their guests. They are not just employees; this is their passion. Their homemade breakfast buffet is consistently wonderful. They will go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Julie & Marla are no doubt the reason these properties have been voted best on the Island.

I'm not a big fan of B&B's, and with the shared b'fast space and homey feel, this resembles a first-class B&B. But there's also a hip, eclectic feel about the place. Right in the middle of everything in beautiful Edgartown, this is a 1800's sea Captain's home lovingly restored and updated with modern fixtures and amenities. Attentive staff, excellent b'fast … if only it wasn't a B&B.

This is our second visit to The Christopher. Julie and Marla are two of the best Innkeepers on the east coast. The inn is chic yet comfortable. The food is what foodies desire. The overall package is worth coming back to again and again. Which, is why we do.

My great great grandfather Lafayette Rowley owned this house in the early 1800's. I visited the house a few times before it was an Inn, and once after. So happy that it's doing so well!

Really beautiful inn. Close walk to everything downtown. The room was gorgeous. Very clean, very pretty. Nice balconey with sunning chairs. The Inn Keeper, Carol, was super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

The Victorian Inn is so beautiful! It (& gets prettier every year! ) We have been coming here for years and are never disappointed! We stay in room with a covered porch overlooking a charming garden in the back. The breakfast is amazing! With many choices. Thee service is impeccable! The girls could not be sweeter! We hope Steve and Karin will keep it up forever! Located on a quiet street in the heart of Edgartown It is a really special place!

We spent 3 nights at the Victorian Inn and are looking forward to coming again and again. The rooms were lovely and breakfasts and afternoon cookies delicious. The location is ideal. We felt welcomed like friends and believe our first Martha's Vineyard experience was enhanced because of Steve's hospitality and interest in what we were looking to do.

Was there from oct 16-19 steve and the staff were fantastic, will not stay anywere on the island but there, you wont be let down, thanks victorian inn!, John D.
