Central location, friendly staff!

Hotel staff checked us out of room at 930 am and moved our personnel belongings. Check out is at 11 am. Front desk female hostess was rude and said” what do you want me to do”. Extremely rude.

Absolutely amazing! Fiancé and I came after my semester ended to help me decompress and it has been nothing short of amazing.

We had a room with great views on the fourth floor. Staff were excellent. The breakfast is amazing.

First time at The Vineyard Square Hotel great location! They have a very nice continental breakfast included along with bicycles beach towels chairs umbrellas nice amenities.

Hotel was nice and clean. Lots to do around the hotel. My only issue is how far the parking lot is located. Raining day your going to get wet. Staff were really nice to me. Staffed 24/7.

The hotel was lovely. Very clean, comfortable and a great location for walking around the quaint streets of Edgartown. The staff, especially Evelyn, was very pleasant and helpful.

Upon checking in with my 82-year old mother we were told we were on the 4th floor (no elevator) despite it being obvious I’m with a senior citizen with a bad ankle no effort was made to even look for a lower floor. The room was so ice cold it felt about 48-50 degrees on a chilly 60 degree evening. No instruction manual was in the room for the wall unit but we could not call down for help because the phone in the room did not work. No complimentary waters or coffee are in the… room. Then upon showing up at 9:25 for breakfast, we were shocked to find only crumbs and empty serving plates and the attendants just shrugged their shoulders and said it was all gone. They didn't even offer to bring more food out for myself or the other customers who didn't get a morsel either! The worst part about this trip was the cavalier and snotty attitude of the front desk gal when I expressed my displeasure upon check-out with my senior citizen mother having to transverse 4 flights of stairs with CLEARLY a bad ankle, she replied "Well, if you had booked with our sister high-end hotel next door for $500-700 a night. You would have had a better room. " Wow! We won't be coming back here again! Three strikes and you're out.

Had a great stay that was only made better by the awesome staff. Very welcoming and relaxing home base to come back to after sightseeing all day. Had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend!

We cannot thank The Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites enough for their generosity and kindness. Without them, we wouldn't be able to make our film on Martha's Vineyard! The staff is beyond amazing, the facilities are so well thought out, comfortable, beautiful touches everywhere. You almost don't want to leave until you catch the gorgeous views out the windows and then remember you're in Martha's Vineyard! Go explore! When you get back, take a nice long shower because the water pressure is heavenly! haha. I cannot wait to go back. Truly, it's amazing.

Visiting a friend for the holiday weekend at this hotel and was horrified when what I was told was the housekeeping supervisor, punched an employee of the hotel salon in the face. Someone should address this employee. Other than this incident, the hotel itself was top notch!

Arrived hotel. My wife went to book us in. Came back with a gentleman to help carry bags. Nice touch. Parking is off site. We were told that prior to coming. Not a big problem. Staff have been welcoming, remember names, helpful with directions, suggestions for meals and entertainment. Our room was simple,. King size bed, very comfortable and a great duvet. Big thing for me is hot water and great water pressure. They have it here. Room was clean and had been updated. No complaints. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, baked goods and great coffee. My compliments to whoever is in charge of breakfast. Location of hotel is perfect. Just steps away from everything you ever wanted. Very centrally located. Again thank you for your hospitality! Would highly recommend. Take care.

Lovely hotel, but we had a few issues. This hotel was recommended by a friend who had arranged for us to have a small discount. We tried to book two rooms, but only one was available. When we checked in, the desk clerk got snooty with us when we asked for enough towels for the four of us. The room was on the fourth floor, so it was a difficult walk for my 72 year old mother. The elevator was for handicapped guests only. When we asked about the discount, we were told no, because we had 4 people in a room for two. We had asked about having 4 in the room when we booked and we were told it would be fine. I would not recommend this hotel who may not need handicap accessibility, but has difficulty with stairs. Maybe we just didn't look rich enough to be treated with respect. We won't be back.

We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the street with the harbor in the distance. There was a nice breakfast buffet included, and the staff were very nice and tried to be helpful. Great location.

Stopped by as we were walking around. Seemed like a nice place, great location, very beautiful.

Paid $400 for room and could barely turn around in it. No closet, coffee, fridge, chair or room for your luggage. Literally had to repack bag every time I left so I had room to walk out of door. Waste of money. Hotel staff is great but disappointed about size of room. Was expecting and actual room not inside cabin on cruise ship sized room.

Amazing hotel with great views in the center of Edgartown. The staff are great and really attentive. Stayed here for my wedding and loved it! Will stay again.

I can not explain how happy I am with everything this hotel with a cell phone. I need a computer for this one. Our room… Perfect… The staff. Perfect… Our location… Perfect… Everything is simply perfect! There will be a more detailed review posted shortly.

We've spent 150 nights with this hotel in the last 12 years. The front desk led by Wes and Evelyn treat their guests with higher care and respect than any other hotel in our experience. The front desk staff knows the towns intimately, and provide delicious breakfasts and warm cookies every day. It was 12 years ago that Jim in maintenance gave us and our one year old a ride to the beach after we missed a bus; we knew this was a unique establishment then. Tom, one of the owners, was in the lobby greeting guests the other evening — he gave us over an hour of his personal time talking about history and culture of this special hotel. We appreciate this hotel like family.

This is a great hotel and in best location in Edgartown. Everything is within one or two blocks from front door. Staff at hotel are all friendly and very helpful.

What a great place to stay. Feels more like staying at a friends estate than a hotel. Wes and Sam were super friendly and more than accommodating and Wes's restaurant suggestions were great. Also worth mentioning that the hotel is dog friendly and there was always coffee and cake waiting first thing in the morning downstairs. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I had the good fortune to visit during the days following Columbus Day. The weather was warm and the streets not congested. Hotel accommodations were excellent, though the remote control for heating and air conditioning was difficult to figure out. Our automobile put us in touch with every spot on the island, about 20 miles from end to end. Lots of great restaurants.

This was a 4/5 star hotel in my opinion! The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a Cozy Queen on the third floor. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect. The porch was AMAZING! The continental breakfast included freshly baked ham & cheese croissants and quiche, along with bagels, muffins/breads, etc. The floor we were on had no carpeting in the hallway so it was a bit loud when people walked by, especially with wheeled luggage. Otherwise, I have no complaints and would go back in a heartbeat. A special thanks to Evelyn and Wes who were so welcoming and had honest opinions on restaurants, etc.

Absolutely, Positively Wonderful place to stay. The rooms are pristinely clean & very comfortable. It is located right where you want to be for EVERYTHING. Mini fridge in the room was great to store our cool drinks. Bathroom was impeccably clean. It is an old hotel so there is a little noise… but nothing horrible (and you should be so tired, you'll fall asleep with no problem anyway). The beds were comfortable and clean clean clean. As if all this isn't enough … they're front porch is absolutely FANTASTIC to relax on. There is a "Continental type" breakfast in the morning. This isn't your run-of-the-mill Continental fare. They had great ham & cheese croissants, they had breakfast quiche, muffins and wonderful coffee cakes, there were several types of juice and the coffee was GREAT! (I'm fussy! ) You could take your gathering of breakfast food and eat it on that beautiful front porch in the front! … OK and now… on to the staff there! I have NEVER EVER met a crew of friendly people like this. They obviously really enjoy their job. They did everything they could to make this a wonderful weekend for us. Having never been to Martha's Vineyard before, I had so many questions. They ALWAYS had time to chat… ALWAYS. What a nice … no… what a VERY NICE bunch of people there. This place REALLY is as good as it gets! Thank you Wes, Emma, Evelyn and Nina! The hotel is great, but you people made it fantastic!
