Overall experience was great.

We came here for our Anniversary weekend. We had a first great night. Had breakfast and went for a tour of Boston. Came back to housekeeping entering our room unannounced. There was a mishap with our reservation and the manger of this establishment told a 7 month old pregnant person to check out of the hotel. I was also charged for the night and was told I would have to wait several business days for my money to return. Now me and my husband have to find another hotel in the middle of the afternoon. DON’T BOOK HERE! Worse customer service. We travel a lot and stay at many hotels and this place is by far the worse. Other Marriott’s awe always are satisfied and leave happy. This experience by far the worse.

The room was not clean well and they need a major update in the hotel…

Excellent place for a home base. Wake up, have a nice breakfast, walk the Waterfront, sightseeing Boston. Back to home base for a quick drink. Return to your room shower relax. Downstairs for dinner and drinks. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Renaissance, Marriott Hotels and Resorts. Properties clean and welcoming.

Great location, right on the recently revive waterfront area. Tons of restaurants walking distance. Great service and nicely appointed rooms.

Beautiful and family friendly. The Seaport District is such a pretty part of the city. The Lawn on D park is a couple blocks away and is a great area to bring kids of any age. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. Pool on the 5th floor was popular for my daughter. It is the same depth across — 3'3" — it's a lap style, quite unique.

It is a beautiful hotel and in a convenient location. Love the view from the windows.

We have stayed at this property ever since it opened. It is not very far from our home. Just a place to relax. Bring caregivers for my parents as they aged we found it necessary for the caregivers we needed downtime. Not only that the Starbucks in the hotel was fun to visit with my parents since parking was nearby. … Through the years we developed relationships with staff and got to know about them and their families. Have had many special family events in the Private Dining room My father recently passed away and the staff attended his wake. We decided to stay after the funeral just to exhale. The staff had flowers and a beautiful card signed by the staff. A great property to visit in Boston!

It was fabulous. Reservations under Hopwood not my name. But oh so so wonderful. So nice. So gorgeous. Amazing dinner. Fantastic location. I wish I could go there every weekend. Wow. Just wow. So so happy.

This was my third time staying at this hotel. Overall very good. The views from the upper floor of the water are spectacular. Room sizes were spacious and the bed comfortable. As many people that I've reviewed this hotel have indicated the walls between rooms are thin. So if you think something you're doing in the room shouldn't be heard by others, keep your voice down. Elevator seems a little slow for this new of a hotel. Excellent Fitness Center. I enjoyed the breakfast and evening reception at the club although I found it to be a little tacky that there was a cash bar. Staff throughout the hotel was very friendly and helpful. At the price point that Renaissance gets, people will tend to have higher expectations. For the most part on this visit, the Renaissance Boston did a pretty good job of delivering a great guest experience.

The hotel is very nice. It is clean, the staff is super friendly & I like the Aveda products in the bathroom. The only thing that I didn't like was the pillows. They are large enough, but the ones we have are down and in my opinion, flat.

Beautiful hotel with a helpful and friendly staff. Great location in the seaport. Our third time staying here and it doesn't disappoint. Close to the silver line which is free from the airport. Walkable to the convention center. Nice fitness center and pool. Can't speak for parking as we don't drive in. Great places by the water for a meal and a walk.

Nice rooms with beautiful views. Room walls paper thin. Could hear normal range conversations from other rooms down the hall. For the money spent I would choose one of the many other hotels in the area.

The only reason I give 4 stars is because the fridge is very small, there is no couch, and the pool is only a lap pool. Also, three of the four outlets on our nightsrand did not work, and the fourth was loose. Otherwise, this was a *great* place to stay. The staff was friendly, helpful, and fun.

Was a bit hard to find. There are trees blocking the front of the building. Once we found it and got inside it was beautiful. Very clean and relaxed atmosphere. A bar/restaurant was located right in the front as well as a small gift store not to far away from that. The rooms were very clean and had a great view of the city and harbor. When we order room service that required forks/spoons, we did not get any.

Great experience at this hotel. Right from check in, when Marie at the front desk confirmed our room type and discovered we were not getting a king room, she corrected it immediately. We upgraded to a water view so boy were we happy! Beautiful view of the harbor. We were also surprised to find champagne and cookies sent up to us that evening by Marie after she learned it was my husband's birthday. Excellent customer service and staff! We stayed two nights. We were in town for a concert at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion and this hotel is right next door. Easily able to walk to great bars and restaurants, even Quincy Marketplace is a reasonable distance to walk to. Check out Harpoon brewery down the street. Great beer and pretzels! Would stay here again without hesitation. Excellent in every way.

Views from room 1813. Great location close to the waters edge, places to eat and to enjoy life. South end is minutes across the bridge by foot. Nice place. You will hear airplanes in the morning. If early riser, no worries.

My husband and I are gold members. This hotel does not have the lounge open on the weekends and today (Sunday before Memorial Day) we go to the Lounge only to be told they got an email saying it would be closed for the holiday weekend. So apparently they decided at the last minute to close it and the staff didn’t even know until they got an email today — this experience pretty much sums up the stay — disorganized and garbage and cups in the hall. The sheets also has huge rips in them. We were on the elevator with a manager and he asked about the stay — I told him it had not been great and his reply was “oh, okay” which pretty much sums up why there are issues at this hotel — no one really cares. Skip this one, there are too many good hotels out there who value their high stay customers — never had an issue with this at a Hilton.

Both stayed here + held a seminar in conference room. Top notch! Had a King sized room; I love this hotel. The bed was super comfortable, quiet and was very clean and well kept. The gym is fully stocked and is an added bonus for those who want to both hit the weights and do some cardio indoors. I also hosted a seminar in one of their rooms (pic attached) and this particular room had a fantastic ceiling to floor windows and brought in amazing natural light. Very close to surrounding restaurants, the pier and other night life activities.

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel. Paper THIN walls — you can hear the neighbors thumping around and you can hear the incessant rumbling of airplanes from Logan Airport. Since my top priority at a hotel is sleeping, I consider this place a nightmare.

I know it took me some days to write this but it’s better to do it late instead of not doing it at all. My husband birthday was 4/21 so I book a club level room with a beautiful view. Long story short from the moment I get to the valet parking to the moment I leave the hotel I had nothing but amazing staff at my husband and I service. We went out for the evening coming back around 2:30 in the morning The front desk supervisor was amazingly professional he welcomed us back so well I still remember the name until now. I’d like to say Jacques Nicolas you rock, may god continue to bless you and your career.

Great location for a conference at the nearby convention center. Soft bed clean room. Make sure you hang a do not disturb sign the cleaners sometimes come early.

Great location in the up and coming seaport district, right by the water and super fast to the airport. Recently refurbished too and looks nice.

We came for a convention and they were very accommodating for our large group. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant options are decent. I appreciate the pool and fitness center availability as well.

Rooms have generous space, couch, chair, coffee table, desk, fridge, safe and coffee supplies for those who drink. Could have been five stars if the pillows could support anything without going flat. My pillow would be great here, I used couch pillows under bed pillow to try and get some support. The walls must be thin, we could hear their every word next door. Sure they could here us, oh well. Great place and we would go back again.

Nice, clean room. Lovely view from the room. Hotel located right in the middle of the city so easy access to restaurants and others. The paid parking facility was quite a distance away.

We are here for a wedding with a pretty large group. All was fine until my daughter arrived around 5:30 last night and they told her there was no room. The staff got very obnoxious and nasty when several of us asked what was she to do. They would not even suggest a place where she and her family could stay. Just more nastiness.
She and her family are in Watertown not near the festivities.
Everyone who participated in this disaster on the staff here should be fired for the lack of customer service.

By the way, the breakfast arrived in a paper bag. It was like a take out from Starbucks.
I must be fair and say the rooms were well furnished and very clean. That said, it did not help the aggravation we all experienced.
In conclusion, I must say the rude staff has made sure we will never stay in this particular Marriot again.

Located very close to the Boston seaport world trade center. Nightly rate which was nonrefundable (my choice) was very reasonable. Room was good and the bad was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was wonderful and I would recommend staying here!

We booked the hotel for a one day getaway with the kids specifically to use the pool. We told them that when we booked and chose it for the quality of that amenity. It was out of order when we arrived. Their solution was to use another hotel's pool blocks away. That was a long walk in the bitter cold — especially coming back. There wasn't even so much as an apology let alone a comp of some sort to make up for it. The staff had a "we could care less" attitude. We won't be staying here again and recommended others avoid it unless there is no other option. I expected better from the price charged.

Attended a work holiday party in the evening that was hosted in a large room on the second floor that appeared designed for functions like these. The hotel has a professional appearance throughout and provides guests such as myself a welcoming a upscale impression. The catering was nice and the food selections were enjoyable. The staff were all pleasant and professional.

My go-to hotel in Boston. Great upcoming area with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Convenient access to the Silver Line. Stayed here many times over the past 10 years and never had a problem. The rooms and decor are in need of an update, however.

I thought it was overpriced for everything. I guess they believe that the waterfront location warrants the overcharging. Nothing is complimentary, but some lemon flavored water in the lobby. They charged us $48.00 for parking. How could you think that's ok with the prices you charge for rooms. Staying at places half the price offer way more. They have the nerve to put two bottles of water in the room and if you dare drink them charge you 4 dollars. Smdh. You would have at least think they would give Veterans some sort of discount for Veterans Day Weekend… Unless you're financially well off, and don't mind spending a lot for little of nothing, I would not recommend staying there.!

Hotel lobby is a little tight, bar and restaurant are great. Servers and bartenders are awesome! Ideal for meetings at the Convention Center, an easy 10 minute walk away. Lots of restaurants nearby. Had to call 2 days after check out regarding charter on my credit card, they are very helpful.

Perfect location, loved the lobby and attached Starbucks. Was able to get work done and tour the city! Super Convienent to Logan Airport too.

Horrible service at ridicules rates! Had two rooms reserved for a bachelorette party requested early check-in but didn't arrive until 4. Requested that they put champagne in glasses in the room to surprise the bride as well when we got there. We arrived and our rooms were not ready they let us into one room where we found dirty pillow cases hidden behind the curtain. They told me they would call in the room adjacent to us was ready they never did. I went down spoke to front desk and ask them about the champagne and told them I was extremely upset because it was supposed to be a surprise that she walked into. They did nothing. Then miraculously the room we were waiting for was ready minus the champagne although they said that they sent someone up. Then we called for extra towels and a Gentleman came up he handed the towels to one of the girls and she took them and put them down. He didn't say anything else. I then waited for the champagne and then called the front desk again, and they said the champagne was brought up to the room. I disagreed with them and said there was no champagne I want to be calling if there was champagne. Next thing I know the gentleman he drop the towels off as knocking on the door saying he gave us a little black bag with the towels, something he never mentioned. Inside were two tiny bottles of champagne into cheap plastic champagne glasses. He never even said anything nor did he apologize for not telling us about it.

Spacious, modern, clean. Restaurants and bars within walking distance and it's only a short bus ride from the airport. The hotel gym and pool are decent as well. The only negative was having to pay an extra $13 a day for Wi-Fi.

Great hotel with very nice rooms! Room service food was super solid (from attached restaurant). Not far from downtown city center. Great if you are Convention center focused or if you don't mind walking. Highly recommend this hotel!

Sent to our room upon check-in to a dirty, unmade room. Went back to front desk and was given a new room. New room was smaller and still not completely clean (small trash on the floor, bathroom mirror dirty, etc. ). The next day we left our room at 9:30AM, returned at 4:30PM and the room was unmade. Went to the front desk and asked them to have it cleaned. Ten minutes later the room was "done"… no way it gets cleaned in ten minutes! Now, two days later both my wife and I have had a 24 hour stomach bug… coincidence… maybe… but I doubt it! Thanks Renasissance!

Rooms are really nice and well lit. The people who work here are very polite and accomodating, as well as knowledgeable about the area. The food is also really good. I had the lobster roll and it was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a fair amount of room and a desk for setting up a laptop or writing station. There was a refrigerator, but no microwave. There was no complimentary breakfast (if you want breakfast, you have to pay for it at the restaurant in the hotel) and the Wi-Fi is not complimentary. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, slightly dampened by the high added prices of breakfast and Wi-Fi.

The Renaissance is a very short walk to the BCEC. The rooms are comfy and well sized and the staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating. I stay here every year for PAX East and have no plans to change that.

I wasn't a fan of this hotel. No breakfast and Wi-Fi is way too expensive. Their lobby is absolutely beautiful but don't let that fool you. The rest of the hotel does not echo that.

Location on D street is great. Steps from restaurants and bars in the area, and not far from Seaport Convention Center. Staff was friendly, particularly Lourdes at the front desk. The room was nice and clean, bed comfortable, and television had all the necessary components for connecting a laptop to the screen. Gym was 24 hours, though I did not utilize it. Checkout was swift.

Great hotel, we were in town for Pax east and this hotel was in very close proximity to the convention center and dining. Protip: be sure to bring your own travel router and chromecast. We brought two extra tvs for our room with old school gaming options on raspberry pi.

At the hotel for a function. Waitstaff was attentive and food was served hit. Onky issue is too long between salad and nain course also there were no drinks for the kids besides soda.

They nickel and dime you at every corner. Stayed 4 nights and spent 500-600 dollars a night for 3 rooms and they still charge you 15 dollars a day for half speed internet and 20 for full speed… it just gets old. When asked about the charges they seem to care less. Bar staff was rude one night. Got locked out of my room and the lady working the desk was horrible. After explaining the situation she just told me to bad since the room was in my companies name. Had to wait in line again and got a very nice young guy who got me back in. We have stayed in this hotel 3 occasions this year with our company due to its nice location. Needless to say it will be the last.

I was in Boston for PAX and the room was wonderful. The staff, security guards, front desk, restaurant, room service, was more than accommodating. Thank you for helping make my first time in Boston so perfect.

I very much enjoyed my stay here, it was in the perfect location for where I needed to go. The staff was very nice and attentive, and my room was clean and had a wonderful view of the city. I actually felt this was one of the more up class places that I have stayed in in this area for quite a while. Even the restaurant was fairly fancy. Everything was modern and up to date, and was in good working order. I really have no complaints other than that the rates are not the most reasonable I have seen. Overall though, I found my state was well worth it.

We were in Boston for a family baby shower and stayed at the hotel. We were greeted by a very nice and informative bellman at the front of the hotel. The check in process was easy and the person checking us in was very pleasant. The room was clean and very nice. In the evening we went to the bar and found the service Saturday night excellent, however the bar service on Sunday night was not at all good. It took a long time to get the first drink and then the cocktail waitress never came back to see if we needed anything or if we wanted additional drinks. After waiting a while, my daughter went up to the bar itself and asked a bartender for drinks and was advised very rudely that the cocktail waitress would get our drinks. Well the reason she went to the bar was because the cocktail waitress never came to the table and we got tired of waiting. The waitress finally came and got our 2nd order of drinks. When we were ready to leave again we waited for a while and she finally came to see if we wanted anything else, at which time we just asked for the bill. I saw a lady had come and sat down at a table and the waitress never even acknowledged the woman was there, she just walked by her. The lady had been sitting there at least 15 minutes, while we were waiting. This was the only poor experience we had, but to me worth noting. Especially since we tried to get drinks from the bar itself and experienced a rude bartender as well.

Great hotel, perfect location, beautiful décor. The hotel staff was gracious and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, lots of feather pillows as I requested, exactly what is expected of Marriott Hotels. As a woman, my only complaint was poor lighting in the bathroom to apply makeup. Everything else was perfect.
