When we checked the lady that checked us in was great. It all went down hill from there. My daughter was to have surgery at Fort Leonard Wood Hospital the following morning. So, we went to eat the night we checked in and bought extra food, about 60 dollars worth for the ride home so we would have to stop while my daughter was in pain. We got up in the morning and was at the hospital by 6 am. We left the food and a bag of personal items in the room and was going to check out just before 11a. M. Just in case things didn't go well and we had to stay another night. When she out of surgery and we knew we would be going home my husband went to check us out. It was about 945 or 10 am. When he got to the room the keys didn't work, went in office and the manager let him in room but never once said they had checked us out already. The bag of personal items and all the food was gone. My husband went to the office to complain that is when the manager tried to give him 30 dollars for all of our stuff missing, which was refused. When we got home and settled I contacted best western Corp. Offices and filed a complaint. They said I had to talk to the hotel manager… so I did. He was rude, talked down to me and talked to me like I was stupid. He desperately tried to convince me that my husband took the 30 dollars and that there was no bag in the room. He also stated that they checked us out because our car wasn't in the parking lot… seriously? Didn't realize that a car not being in the parking lot was means for checking someone out of the room. BTW the best western Corp office told me that I had to work it out with the manager of that hotel, even though the manager was the one we were having issues with as well as he was lying. So to this day, they have done nothing.
