The owner Chris & his family & staff are wonderful, they are friendly and helpful the price of the room is very reasonable the waters hot the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean they are also a pet friendly hotel it's the only place my husband and I stay at when we come to Elko.

Not bad for a little Motel. We found this place had the best price in town and so we took a chance on it. The room was a little outdated but it was clean and the amenities were nice. Staff was friendly enough for it being midnight. The only complaint I had was the parking. It was a little bit of a hassle and very cramped. Other than that the place was fairly quiet and we had a good night. If you are on the road and need a place to stop, this is the place to go.

When we checked in this morning the guy at the front desk was very helpful and took care of our needs thank you.

This is a family owned and operated business and for the price it's incredible value they may not have brand new couches and they may not match exactly but the service that you get from these people is wonderful and they live their on site, they care about their customers and they just aim to please. As I was reding a bunch of the reviews people complained about scratches on the walls, the paint and things like that and yet they were there enjoying a clean and neat hotel room at about a 3rd of what they would pay anywhere else. I think that some of the reviews were very harsh and I also think that at a certain point you have to be realistic.

For a locally owned Motel it was clean, very spacious. Front desk woman super friendly. Great bed.

Decent room for a good price, internet access is slow and a few things are getting a bit run down like the shower faucet.

Very dirty. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Dirty sheets with ashes and hair in it. Shower head fell off and smells strongly of cigarette smoke. Would not recommend.

The hotel is nothing fancy but it has such an old charm to it. The owner was such a nice man we ended up chatting about travel and such. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed would definitely stay again.

Friendly family manages this place. It's not luxurious by any measure but it's clean inside, has a nice little outdoor swimming pool in the parking lot. We've stopped here three or four times now on our way between CA and SLC.

Best motel very clean and well maintained the room was soundproof when u closed the door u didn't hear any noise liked the fact that they serve breakfast at 4:00 AM.

The Thunderbird Motel was a perfect place to rest as my first stop cross-country. It was so quiet and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I wasn't there for casinos, but there were some right across the street.

I really like the thunderbird. Great price. Good service. Nice rooms. The only negative is the Wi-Fi does not work at all.

For a small motel around the casino, it was a good experience. The room was very clean, albeit aged. Our first room was being renovated but the staff was very nice and apologuzed and moved us to another room close to our moving truck. They have a continental breakfast, but it is very, very sparse and has a waffle iron, yogurt, and cereal. Pet fee was $15.

I have been staying there for over thirty years and will continue to stay there as long as I travel through Elko on my annual hunting trips. The only thing I can see that has changed is the ownership. Liked the nice clean and freshly painted room (134). See youn next trip…

Awesome! Awesome! Went for the Elko County Fair and the people couldn't be more friendly! The rooms were big & clean and the staff super friendly. We had a blast in the pool and breakfast was delicious! We stayed for two nights and will go back for sure. Quickly handled any issues we had — including forgetting a cellphone! Called them from the road two hours away and they found it and shipped it back to us right away. Sooooo awesome! I'm so thankful we picked the Thunderbird! Highly recommend.

Rooms nice. Air conditioning works great. Breakfast is alright, good amount of options. Wifi works so so depending on what needs to be done.

Room was very nice and clean. Front desk was quick and friendly. The breakfast had cereal and waffles. However, the Wi-Fi was fast in the main office but very slow in the room, my only complaint.

It has a small swimming pool that doesn't much but the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.

Room was clean, better furnished than price would lead one to expect. Non smoking room still had that ozone industrial smell that's a careful melange of neutralizer and past smoke. Front desk was kind, professional, and competent. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Got double charged. After 2 months of calling, faxing, finally got refunded. Appearance of fraud. Not acceptable. Not one at the desk will correct the problem: there is nothing that I can do. Call back for Casey the manager.

I stayed at the Thunderbird Motel in Elko, NV over the past weekend. I checked out at 8:45 a. M. On Sunday. There was a working TV in the room when we arrived. And it was still there when we checked out. On Tuesday evening, I received a message from a hotel clerk stating I STOLE a TV from the room I stayed in Saturday night. When asked why I was being contacted 2 days after the fact, I was NOT given an answer. I checked my bank account and $200 was charged from this motel, and a day later the original amount of $72.80 was taken out (so 4 days later). I called several times to reach the owner/general manager and she would not return my calls. I finally got in touch with "GAZELLE" and she stated I was being charged $500 for the tv. I asked for the police report of the claim and she would not reply. I called the Elko Chamber of Commerce to get her first and last name and they were too refused GAZELLE's last name. She is refusing to answer any of my questions. The police are now going to be involved to solve this issue of fraud. I requested to see video footage of her claim and she refuses. Please people save your money and go somewhere else. DO NOT get involved in the mess I have encountered there.

Rooms are decent. BUT! watch your credit card/ bank account very closely as they like to charge for extra days.

Truckers not wecome. Local hick cops call troopers in for inspections just to harrass you.

Very nice, everything super clean, big room, fair price.

Large for a standard room with one king, very clean, great pillows and newer clean towels. I was comfortable and slept well — not noisy even though it is downtown. Hotels at this price normally feel a little creepy or stuffy but not this one. Would stay any time I come to Elko.

My wife and daughter stayed there for one night and were very pleased with the accomodations.
