The location and common area décor are the stars of the show. There's a lovely central courtyard, a pool and small hot tub, free coffee, and friendly and knowledgeable front desk folks. There's also a small balcony on the front of the hotel, a back entrance toward Frenchmen street, and a ton of cool portraits and furniture. It definitely has the New Orleans vibe. Just don't expect breakfast or fridges in the room or anything like that.

Affordable rustic hotel. Nothing like the name brand hotels in town but it works. Minus a star for problem with safe, deadbolt not working, and the cockroach we found in the room.

This was a great little place to stay that is just off of the French Quarter craziness and noise. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Justin was the concierge for my booking and check-in when we arrived. He was absolutely delightful and super helpful.

I absolutely love this place. It's perfect for couples and families. Everything from the Keuirig coffee maker in the room to the little soaps in the marble floored bathrooms just make this hotel a gem! I'd recommend anyone, even people on a budget like us, to spend a night here. You won't regret it!

This place is great. Ive stayed several times and will definitely be going back! The rooms are amazing, super clean and modern. That. Bed. Was. Heaven. The rest of the building has a fancy, clean and classic New Orleans feel to it with a BEAUTIFUL landscaped courtyard with a very pretty pool. I DEFINITELY recommend staying here.

The location was absolutely perfect. The room was small, but we weren't going to spend time in the room. The room had its own entrance so it was nice to he able to step outside to have a smoke and not have to walk across a giant hotel and take an elevator etc. We were able to find free parking right in front of the property on a Friday night. We will go here again the next time we are looking to spend time in the French Quarter.

This is where you want to stay. It's so close and walkable to everything, but just out of the way of the chaos of Bourbon street. They have their own private parking lot which is so great in this area, because parking is very hard to come by. The rooms are great and the courtyard is enchanting.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and loved the historic nature of the location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful location. Parking was a slight issue but where in New Orleans isn’t? At least the parking lot was secured with an electronic gate. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed in this suite and it is even more dreamy in person than in the photo! The only downside being that in order to keep this theme they have all antique furniture, however some of it needs to be refurbished and or replaced. The couch is really not even able to be sat on (super uncomfortable) but would be nice if simply restuffed. The bed closest to the bathroom is so rickety it makes a TON of sound anytime you move. Otherwise the room was very clean, the grounds were clean, the housekeeping and front desk staff are amazing! The ice machine never had any ice in it so we had to drink lukewarm cocktails by the pool.

We had an excellent experience at Lamothe House. The hotel is beautiful, charming, and well-kept. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and safe. The hotel is steps from Frenchmen Street and ~ten minute walk from the heart of the French Quarter's restaurants and nightlife. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again!

My family recommend this hotel… my first time in New Orleans and I absolutely LOVED this hotel… it was exactly what I wanted. The home like feel, the antique furniture and beds, the friendly and helpful staff… I will definitely be staying here again… I do have a suggestion for other guests… we were a party of 15 people, 1/2 of us were reserved and quit and the other 1/2 liked to party and were loud… if you like the peace and quit like me stay on the inside part of the hotel… if you are loud and like to party request the outer rooms and everything will be oky… Happy visits for all.

Very nice rooms in a set of classic old NOLA buildings. Well-appointed, staff friendly and helpful. However, employs Keurig machines for tea and coffee in rooms and lobby. These are wasteful! Suggest replacing with "proper" coffee service.

Very charming and cozy hotel. The reason I gave four stars is because I thought the room should have been cleaner (I noticed dust/hair in the corners of the room) and the pool water more cristaline.

Beautiful old hotel. Right on Frenchman St. French Quarter is an easy walk. Friendly staff. Oh and did I mention it was beautiful?

Wonderful stay! Off the beaten path but close enough to the action. Easy walk to the Quarter and a new favorite gem, Frenchman street. It was so nice to have the pool and hot tub to soak our feet after long days of walking. The room was a perfect size. The only thing that would have made it better was having a mini fridge. The staff was courteous and friendly from start to finish. They were helpful recommending restaurants and other local insights. Next time we are in New Orleans we will be staying here again!

Good stay so far, nice place. Small room, really basic appointments, but nicely done. King bed, dresser, closet, side table and a little table with a coffee maker — no where other than the bed to sit, but it really didn't bother us. Bed is comfy, linens are nice. Bathroom has good size walk in shower and nice vanity. Can hear a little of the other guests and the music clubs on the neighboring block (We were in the back side of the complex) but generally pretty quiet. If you are running the a/c, which we are doing for most of our stay in late May, you won't hear a thing. Be aware rhat this is a historic home in a super humid, tough environment. The facility is clean, very pretty and quaint, but it is not pristine. This does not in any way deter from it's charm and value, but if you are used to modern hotels, this could be a bit of a surprise. Pool and hot tub are lovely, as is the courtyard. Staff is super nice, and overall a great place to stay.

Nice little hotel in a great location to access all that the French Quarter has to offer. Rooms are nicely updated, nice pool and courtyard area, nice brick wall look in several areas. Just a block off Bourbon St. So close but not as noisy. Friendly staff. Only caveat is the restaurant attached, which is a separate company but still reflects on the hotel. Had a "challenging" dinner there, but other food served during my meeting from same restaurant was good.

Located on Frenchman St, it is near plenty of restaurants and bars. Service was excellent. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and unique in style (at least the 3 bedroom one was). Parking in a private lot costs per night. Close enough to walk to Bourbon St if needed.

My parents stayed there on their most recent trip. I had dropped off birthday presents and beers and flowers to put in their room before they arrived and the hotel was super accommodating about it. Came back a couple times during their stay to hang in the Super awesome pool and spa. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Location: Super close to Frenchmen street which is awesome. Rooms: Limited number of rooms but the inside looks much more modern. Service: This was average. Nothing special except if you don't have your room key you have to get buzzed in. This is annoying since I was in a large group but it made me feel better about the safety overall. They don't have the traditional lobby. Staircases are narrow otw to the registration office on the 2nd floor. Best part was the vibe and natural landscape of the area. Advice: Clean the swimming pool more often.

Small boutique hotel. A little rundown in some areas but the rooms look recently renovated and the inner courtyard with a pool is very quaint.

Perfect location, walking distance from everything in the French Quarter but still quiet. The room was very small but the bed was very comfortable, and that's all we really needed! Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, though. The courtyard is beautiful.

The bed is comfortable and the room is secure. The ambient noise can be a bit much, but the hotel is kind enough to provide ear plugs… not water, though; you're on your own for that.

Stayed here in 2014. This is an incredible place, it's been here since the early 19th century. It's ideally situated, just a block from Frenchman street were all of the quieter jazz bars are located.

Stayed at back house on Kerlerec. Boy thin walls here. Mysterious ceiling noise, like an old pc hard drive about to crash, was constant. Remodel in bathroom shows very poor tile work. Appears newish, but broken pieces on floor and very poor measurements taken for shower tile. Jacuzzi makes bubbles. But pool temp with heat never arriving. Thats the bad. On the good side, you have a beautiful pool and jacuzzi courtyard. Overall, for the price, pretty weak and lame. If about $80 per night, I'd say you still have a lot of work to make it worth even 4 stars.
