The staff was helpful when I checked in. They weren't overly friendly, but once I opened up conversation they were a little more open. The room was great. I have stayed here previously and I love the jacuzzi in the bedroom. I didnt get to go to the pool this time, but I will definitely try it out next time. The cost of the rooms is better than most for its amenities. That cost is what helped me decide which hotel to go with while I was waiting for my apartment to be ready.

I didn't go to the casino. I stayed at the hotel for my child's s birthday to access the pool and we loved the pool. The room had a large sized jacuzzi tub which my kids loved as well. The rooms were well sized. We had an excellent view of the pool and the city. My only dislike was the TV. They really need to update to flat screen high definition televisions. The clarity of the channels was aweful with a TV from possibly from the nineties.

We got a room and boy was that a mistake! First off, the room is really outdated. But that can be overlooked. The room was run down and dirty. It was a non smoking room, but you could smell the years of smoking that use to be in there. The carpet had burn marks everywhere from the past smoking. The only thing that was clean enough to touch with bare skin was the bed and the sink. Whatever you do,,, do not stay at Diamond Jack's …

The place was empty. Virtually no staff other than about 20 security officers. Barely any customers either. The restaurant and bar are only open on the weekend. Poor selection of slots. 80% are reel style. Too many other great casinos within a mile. This place was just sad.

Rooms are very dated. No flat screen TV, the shower filled with water and took forever to drain, the arcade game room for the kids had only a few games that were actually functional. Not my favorite place to stay down there! But they do have one of the better casinos that pay out nicely and the jacuzzi tub in the room is nice.

My most recent visit was just for the buffet. It was Sunday evening and not very busy. The food was fresh and there was a good selection. About golden corral quality. Not bad, but if you're looking for a higher end buffet, try something else.

I don't know why this place has low stars. The front office people aren't always around when you need them but overall the apartment is clean and well run. The pool is nice and usually empty. I would highly recommend living here. I have lived here for over two years and I think it is a good value for the location and quality.

I am sorry that you have not won in a while; however, we do not pick who might win on any given day. As you might not be aware, every one of our slot machines, table games, and promotions are highly regulated by the Louisiana State Police and the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. There are many regulations that we follow in order make sure that our games are fair and that everyone has the same chance to win. We have been here many times. Love the casino, today we decided to go eat at the buffet… Our server, Ayn was not very attentive, due to having a large group of people at another table. We were a party of two. My husband and my tea was very low, and we kept waiting for her to come refill them. She passed by many times, finally asking after 30 minutes of waiting. She said she would be back. Another server, ended up getting us tea. Our lady eventually showed up with the tea. As she went to place it on the table, she spilled the whole glass of sweet tea all over my husband. He jumped up and the lady apologized, and then she began to clean his leg and thigh. She literally was almost kneeling doing this as he kept telling her that he was fine. No manager was notified, however all the diners around did see what had happened.

We came into town to handle some business and were too exhausted to make the long drive home so we got a room here. The price was reasonable especially since it was Memorial Day weekend. The room was clean and stocked with all the things you expect — soap coffee shampoo etc. The reason for the low rating is this… The giant jacuzzi tub looked so inviting I turned the water on to fill it and then when it was full I was sitting on the side, legs in the water… That's when I noticed a VERY large amount of pubic hair, hair and some weird black goopy chunks. It was disgusting. It was not okay. My husband suggested we shower and go to bed but I wanted that bath so I cleaned the tub myself and it was GROSS. The sink was also stopped up and took more than five minutes to drain. The maids clearly do not have any respect for the company they work for or any pride in their work because the gunk I cleaned out of that tub — after a 6 hr drive and meetings — makes it obvious that these tubs are rarely if ever cleaned. If I had actually been sitting in the water when it was filling and that filth had gotten all over me I think I would of lost it… Worst hotel experience ever.

Old, old, old they have 3 floors and all 3 with very few machines. You have to run for the good machines if you want to have fun. The Buffet super over priced. The staff is very nice but they know the place is going down. Smell of smoke all over no really an area where you can play without cigarettes laying all over it. Bathrooms were clean and nice. They only have 1 elevator to move between floors with games and you spend a good time waiting for them. Is best to drive to Oklahoma.

Suite was on 10th floor, spacious and overlooked the pool. Two queen beds were extra firm. Would liked to have had pillow top mattresses instead. Chairs were stained and tattered. Marker stains on one wall. No pants hangers in closet. Non-smoking room but had cigarette burns on carpet and in the bathroom as well as the whirlpool tub. Did have separate tile shower with decent water pressure.

I really don't hate it. But DJ have their picks on who they want to win at their casino. I play all the time. And I have been coming here since 2004. Won one small jackpot and nothing else. I like my rooms and meals. But I would love to hit a big one sometimes. They are really my favorite casino. Thanks.

I wish there was a way to give this place less than one star. I stayed here during an event and it was awful. There was an odor in the room that ended up being an old takeout plate left in the refrigerator. One of the maids walked in the room while my cousin was in the shower. All they offered were their apologies (insincere)! If you feel like you need to or have to stay there… D-O-N-T! Just sleep in your car!

Diamondjacks Casino is a nice place to gamble and enjoy great food/entertainment. The rooms need a little improvement as I remember them having one of the best hotels in the market. The customer service was great staff was very helpful.

Lied to us. We said due to travel issues we would be checking in late. The first lady we spoke with said it was fine. The 2nd employee said they would note it on my reservation. The 3rd employee we spoke to said we would be charged for the room and then the reservation would be cancelled and we wouldn't be allowed to check-in because from midnight till 3am they audit their computers so God forbid you check in at that time. We ended up staying at the horseshoe hotel which was way better and the staff understands that sometimes, when you travel, you can't check in at a time the hotel suggest you check in. Next time I'm in town, I'll sleep in my car before I stay at diamond "craps"
