The food was excellent and the staff helpful and friendly.

Lulworth cove inn is a perfect place to stop for a few days in winter if you wish to be away from loads of people. the staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming and the food is great. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable and we had a stunning view of the cove. Thanks to all involved for a wonderful few days in what is normally a very bleak month. Mark and Sophie.

Would highly recommend, the staff were all very friendly & helpful from the moment we arrived. Our room (no. 3) was clean and beautifully done out. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which again we could not fault. Will definitely be back. Thank you Lulworth Cove Inn.

The location for lulworth cove inn is beautiful! Set amongst a few tiny cottages and cute cafes. Easy to park in the huge public car park. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was really tasty with great service from our servers, food came out fast and was fresh and piping hot. Breakfast was also delicious. A lovely place to stay with lovely staff. We did have an issue with our bed base which was really unfortunate but the manager did offer us a more than satisfactory resolution to our complaint. They went above and beyond to insure we left happy! Would definitely return in the future. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay.

What can I say… after a long few months in lockdown we stayed here for the night. Attractive, clean and very comfortable room with an amazing view.

What an all round fantastic Inn to stay, so friendly and very accomodating. We have a big dog and he was welcomed just as much as us, we felt very comfortable taking him with us to breckfast and dinner. Our room was lovely, it had everything we needed for our stay, and also had a large balcony, which was handy for our doggy. Will deffinatly stay there again.

Just had a wonderful meal, the Camembert to share was perfect & the roast beef dinners with all the trimmings were just delicious, all the staff were friendly & the surroundings are just amazing. Many thanks to everyone, we will be back soon.

We had a lovely meal on our first night last Friday. This was our first visit since 2017 and despite current restrictions the team have done everything possible to make sure you still have an enjoyable visit in great surroundings. Well worth a visit.

Lovely food however for £15 a pie we asked for a few more chips as we didn't have many on our plate we then asked a male member of staff wearing a shirt so assumed he was a manager who ignored our request and acted like we wasn't there.

Absolutely amazing night there last night. The room was luxurious and beautiful. My steak was perfectly cooked and was superb and the wines were amazing. Breakfast was classy and excellent quality. But best of all were the fantastic staff who

The location is nice, close to the beach, the staff quick, friendly and helpful, the food was well cooked and the service was good. I liked the style as well, exactly what you would expect on a Cove's restaurant.

Not great service. Asked for salt and pepper told to go and get them myself from inside the bar, only found salt.
Food only just warm, but not great portions either. The roast was pitiful for £13 expect more than 2 spuds. Waiter then proceeded to dump dirty plates right between us when clearing the table, when he could have gone to the other side, no excuse me or anything — just rude and unacceptable. Yeah it was busy — no excuse though for the sloppy staff.

Really bad service and very rude staff. My meal arrived approx 20 mins before my friend's meal so mine was stonr cold by the time hers arrived. It was a shame because the food would have otherwise been nice but it is not a nice eating experience when you have to sit there waiting for your diabetic friends food to arrive whilst watching yours go cold. A member of staff came over and basically said it was our fault that our meals did not arrive together?! I placed both orders at the same time, for the same table, but we paid separately. The server did not bother to let the kitchen know that we were together and apparently this was our fault?! I was not told that the meals would come out 20 mins apart if we paid separately. Surely people must do this all the time? No apology was offered. My friend's chips were cold when they eventually arrived. Absolutely appalled with the way we were spoken to. A shame because we had been here a lot. I will be placing a complaint.

Great setting with lovely outdoor area. Simple menu but well presented good cooked food at reasonable prices. Staff very friendly.

A pleasnt pub in a popular tourist spot. Friendly service and a full selection of real ales from Hall and Woodhouse, a long established local brewer. Good food at reasonable prices.

Popped in for a quick bite this bank holiday. Quick service even though it was quite busy. Good was good and table area outside was nice. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

Review is for the cafe part where we stopped for lunch whilst visiting Lullworth Cove. Nice clean pub, lovely seating area outside. However I wasn't overly impressed with the food as was my nephew and girlfriend. I think the description from my nephew regarding his meal was, that was terrible. And I have to agree. Worst meal I've had in a while. Also, we had to ask for our table to be cleared from the previous customers as there appeared to be no sign of anyone coming to clear it. A day later we visited Portland Bill and had lunch at the little cafe there (think it's called the Lobster Pot). Far superior meal and bigger portions too. In fact, we wished we'd opted for the smaller portions as we were quite stuffed.

Really friendly staff and nicely laid out inside. Good choice of food. Dog friendly and really close proximity to the beach. The staff even made a fuss of the dog and gave him a dog biscuit, which was a nice touch.

Brilliant all around except the fire alarm and subsequent evacuation at 3.45am Saturday morning, which in itself was not a problem, excepting any communication whatsoever, other than we’ve called the fire brigade, they’ll sort it out by the lady seemingly on call as she drove off!
No apology, no fire assembly point, all other guests came out of the main entrance as we made our way out the back with our 9month old. Must do better at this…

Lovely place, room great, everything you will need and sea view a bonus. Staff very friendly. Lulworth get packed at this time of year which may answer the fact the food wasn't 100% people eating there all day so understand steak was off the menu that night. Our only gripe was breakfast. We were told certain items were off the menu, early morning? (we were the first in and the bacon was over cooked, ) saying that, would go back but out of season.

Just spent two nights here in the most beautiful room — no 9 with sea view. It was just perfect — the setting is very special, the bar and restaurant staff are so friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners. Reality more than lived up to the website which does not always happen!

I used to live near as a child. In some ways it hasn't changed much but in others it has changed a lot. Of course it's now much busier, and now has a large carpark a visitor center, but underneath all the bustle you can still see it for what it was. The coast line along here has always been my favourite and I smiled to myself at seeing numerous geography field trips reminding me of my own youth here.

Excellent staff let down by poor quality food. £12 vegetarian pie tasted microwaved or cooked from frozen which, even if it wasn't, is very underwhelming. The Sunday roasts looked good but even the steak wasn't great. H&W can, have and should do much better.

Lovely stay here. Room was beautiful with a view. Staff were friendly. Great food, plenty to choose from. Would definitely stay here again :)

Arrived at Lulworth Cove yesterday, popped in here for a meal. My partner ordered roast Cauliflower and I ordered Supreme Chicken. Partners meal Cauliflower was not marinated and couldn't cut it. My chicken very dry not very tasteful. Chips not what I expected over cooked/hard. When asked if the meal was okay, we don't like making a fuss, but we thought she had to say something about her meal which was the worse of the two. Had to wait a long time for the drinks we ordered and it wasn't overly busy. Wouldn't go back there.

Review of the cafe — not the hotel part: Solid cafe. Was a good place to sit after walking for a bit. Staff seemed nice. I didn’t try the food but they had a board of rotating specials. And there’s a good amount of room so you don’t feel on top of anyone else.

Amazing place, very beautiful and excellent shops. Really really love this place and would recommend a visit. I can't wait to go back.

Very busy place, we could only find a table outside. However, the food was very tasty. I tried the fish soup, my boyfriend had the three mini pies and friends had burger. Everyone was happy.

Amazing views and a great hike! On days of good weather though, as you would expect, it's packed and you get inconsiderate idiots bringing their barbecues and drones with them, although there are signs all over the beach expressly FORBIDDING it. When we came, a bin on the cliff caught on fire because people just disposed of their still live barbecue in there, so they had to call in the fire brigade. So in short nothing wrong with the place, just the people!

The best pie I've ever eaten! Not by chance Silver medal at national level! The staff was very friendly Cozy place and view on the small bay to take your breath away! One of my favorite places!

Stunning scenery and some beautiful walks. Take time to walk to the durdle door from the car park about 40 minutes walk away, wear sturdy footwear mind. Lulworth cove is an interesting place of geographical interests, rock formations millions of year's old. Take care by the cliffs, regular cliff falls.

The room was gorgeous, overlooked the sea and had a roll top bath. Blinds in the room were broken and we couldn't open them properly. We had dinner; burgers and chips and a bottle of wine. It was inexpensive. Breakfast was tastey, but the staff were oddly changing the sanitary bins over during this time, which involved them walking through the bar, where we were sitting! They might like to think of their timings a bit more carefully!

Fantastic place. Definitely worth a visit. Beautiful scenery, great places to eat and the gift shop had some lovely items. A dog walkers paradise. Eateries were dog friendly too.

Gorgeous. Go in winter and have the place to yourself. We did. Lovely pub and visitor center. Fossils everywhere.

Great place at a great location. Situated right at the edge of the cliff, it offers you a chance to regroup after a good trek. Tye food there is good as well.

At the end of a 4 hour trek along the coast all I wanted was a pint and somewhere friendly to sit down. The Cove Inn offered neither. Yes it was busy, yes it was a Sunday and yes they were understaffed, but there was no need for the rudeness we were greeted with by the management and his team. What he needs to understand is that the only thing getting most people through the last hour of their trek is the promise of a pint and a warm welcome. We would have been happy to wait at the bar for a table had he not sneered at us from behind the bar. Avoid at all costs.

We been eating lunch. Portions big and food was very tasty. Reasonable prices. Enjoyed terrace we sat in with good wiews.

A very beautiful place to explore and relax, gorgeous pebble beach and some lovely climbs around the cove, steep but mostly well trodden trails.

Unique natural cove but gets very busy on a sunny day. Walk out past the bay for the best views and a little bit of breathing room.

We had a good lunch here. The food was all good quality with plenty of will cooked vegetables. There is an ok selection of beers. The view is nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Or food came promptly despite the restaurant being fairly busy.

Lovely decor and great location. Disappointed with the very slow service and the food was very average. The waiter mumbled and was difficult to hear when taking our order. The portion sizes where awful especially the Fish and Chips only had a few chips on the plate and a piece of cod placed on top of the very few chips. We came away dissatisfied and still hungry.

Stayed near by, looked this place up before hand as we knew we had to book a place dog friendly… was also a fantastic bonus to be a pub where our gourmet society membership also gave us 25% off the total bill (including drinks)
Was really pleasantly surprised to be seated at better than average setting/tables with candles lit on all tables (we're usually used to having to sit somewhere Very casual if we are with the dog) … most of the dining area is like this and even the slightly more casual side is still nice.
So at 1st we expexted to eat here one night and someone else the next. But we enjoyed the meal and welcoming atmosphere we decided to go back again.
Our dog was even greeted and offered a dog treat from the bar.
So both of us had steaks and a soup on one night and the pies on the next night. All were nice and tasty with reasonable portions, couldn't manage any deserts.
Good choices of badger ales on draught and a couple of draft ciders which suited us. There's also peroni and amstell amongst others.
Prices were as you would expect for a holiday resort and in line with our home seaside resort pubs locally. Added bonus to get further discount through the card though.
Can imagine it being lovely on lighter nights to sit outside too.
The staff on both days were great and really friendly with service quite prompt. Made a change to have nice service unlike some places nowadays.

Decent if touristy pub with a reasonable selection of dishes (although not everything on the menu was available when we visited). The food took a long time to come but when it did we had no complaints. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Recommend the Tangle foot for a good drinkable beer.

Awful. Just awful. Despite the brilliance of the serving staff this is just another corporate selling terrible food at sky high prices. Simple dishes lack even the basic attention to detail — low quality ingredients and lack of thought are commonplace throughout. So-called 'specials' are anything but. Despite being beside the sea most of the food seems to be frozen — a fact confirmed by one of the staff. On the plus side the beer is good but they're really having you over a barrel if you end up paying full price. Luckily we were served by someone who saw sense and deducted the cost of our terrible food from the bill — her demeanour suggests this isn't a rare occurrence. Like a lot of the offerings in the immediate area it seems as though restraunteurs are reliant on a captive market. If it was whether spoons I would be more understanding but with mains scraping the £20 mark the quality of food is just appalling. Seriously please avoid unless you've spent your life so far living on gruel and consider 'flavour' a new discovery. I've had better tasting food in an old peoples home.

BEAUTIFUL place to visit. Big parking place. Lots of hotels to stay in. Nice restaurants around and ice cream and gifts shops. There is a public toilet to use. We really enjoyed our time there.

Had a great meal here with my wife and Aunt! Get their famous pie! Well worth it! The inn has a friendly atmosphere and lots of seating without it feeling cramped! Friendly wait staff and a good selection on the menu! I can personally vouch for the whitebait! Yum! Food came out fast and was delicious. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Will come back again!

Normally I never complain about restaurants as I understand it can be busy and I work in the food service myself. However today's service and food was absolutely appalling! First of all there was a lot of staff simply standing around and I was ignored when I tried to ask a question. When we ordered our food the man who served us was polite to the lady in front, however, to myself and my friends he was extremely rude for no reason. In addition to this, there were two working tills, a massive queue and staff simply standing around. Food did come quickly but one persons soup was completely stone cold. When they brought it back it was barely still Luke warm. They had clearly simply popped it in the microwave as it still had the same buttered roll on the plate. My chicken burger was also cold not even moderately warm. 3 other people had ordered fish and chips which for the price (which was ridiculous) they had about 5 chips each. When we asked why this was the manager bought a normal sized portion for one person when we complained about 3 portions. Overall a terrible experience with rude staff and awful food. We weren't even offered some kind of compensation.

A unique beach with some interesting geology. Not just your average picturesque beach as it has a great geological history. A short walk along the coast on either side you'll find very interesting geological sites that look just as good as the history behind them!

We book a table by phone successfully as internet said no tables available. Service was first rate. Food was fantastic and faultless. Really enjoyable evening.

Lovely setting, lovely place. The bright rooms all have their own quirky personality and lovely seaside nick nacks, very well decorated. Nice furniture, comfy mattresses, (feather pillows, not to my own taste) Bottled water and tea making facilities and a huge choice of tea. Lovely big rain shower. Good choice of food at breakfast all to order and lovely cider and great food in the restaurant, what's not to like I can recommend the chicken burger n Eton mess!

Ok food. Not the friendliest of service. If you are eating outside make sure you collect your knives and forks from inside. The staff are quite blunt about it being your responsibility to collect your own cutlery Nice views.

Happened upon this place, tired and hungry from our ride from Weymouth. By far exceeded expectations of 'the only pub in super proximity to Lulworth Cove'. Great food, amazing value and rather friendly staff.

Good rooms with old world decor with modern amenities. Food was good and staff were helpful. We visited over a long weekend and the bar and dining area was crowded.

We stayed here over the Easter break, for 4 days. We had a lovely bright room, with a great view and an extremely comfy bed. Lots of tea/coffee/water available in the room. Staff were very chatty and helpful at all times (except one when we first arrived, she ignored us for a couple of minutes). Food was lovely, although a bit too much salt put on my fish, I would have preferred the option of choosing to put it on myself. There was always a wide selection of breakfast available and the area was amazing. I absolutely loved it and would not hesitate to return. In all, thoroughly recommended.

What are you doing employing these hideous people! We had a job to understand what they were saying to us, they did not smile, we thought we had been told our table was being prepared, after 10 minutes, we queried if our table was ready and was told they had told us 4 times it was! There was 6 of us and not 1 of us we're under the impression we could sit down. Did they think we liked standing and not eating or drinking? The food was good and the waitress warmed up after we told them they needed some training! Never again. Take note please and send an anonymous customer from your company!

Food was not good! Expensive! Seemed to be reheated! My daughters pasta was terrible! Burned burger which was dry! Fish and chips hardly enough to feed a toddler! My fish dish was not great! Ribs and chicken dry and again tasted/ lookedreheated! Very disappointed!

Nipped in whist taking the dog for a walk, Staff were great made a fuss over my dog, and gave him treats, food excellent and very good value, will be bringing Bear (the dog) back again soon.

Ventured here a few weeks back to inquire about booking on Boxing Day, and informed that on Boxing Day it will be a first come first served basis. Arrived on Boxing Day with a clutch of people only to be very rudely told that they were fully booked! And would not even entertain the premise that I had been told something totally opposite. Incredibly rude bar staff and manager and a complete lack of disrespect to myself and our party. Appalling manners and I would recommend that you avoid it.

Stunning selection of Badger ales. Deco doesn't seem to fit the feel of the area but the food was good.

Had a meal in restaurant next door and arranged to have drinks here afterwards, when we got there they had no room for 20 people even though I had told them this. I asked to speak to manager who came out and said I was rude and asked me to leave premises. The behaviour to a clan of 20 people all prepared to spend money in their establishment was appalling and A terrible advert for customer service in the UK. My friends who had travelled from various places all over Europe could not believe what happened. Any way we walked just up the road to the Castle Inn and had a most entertaining evening. I put Excellent for the first two fields because you have to enter something I do not advise a visit here.

Popped in for just a coffee. Had to spent minimum 10 pounds for using a debit card. Good service and helpful stuff. Cant complain and the place looks really nice.
