CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Systems rebooting at 9:00PM as customers are trying to check in. We could not check in the computer so stacks of papers were fumbled through to find a way to get us two rooms. Mind you we had been on the highway for hours. My family was told that nothing would be charged until in the morning upon checking out AND one room would be complimentary. This lasted for over an hour trying to get checked in. Well to our surprise, upon checking out the next morning, NO COMPLIMENTARY ROOM AND CARD HAD BEEN CHARGED! On top of this the front desk clerk ANGELA was EXTREMELY RUDE and even decided to call the cops to have us kicked out. I asked to speak with the manager several times, CHRIS PATEL, and was told that he was probably sleeping because he worked overnight. Well thank God for understanding cops who were able to settle things some. Oh I forgot to insert the fact that the SUPERVISOR OF HOUSEKEEPING, CAROLYN LONDON, thought that it was best for her to try to supervise this situation and add her two cents in. Please lady, attend to your housekeeping department employees who are on the clock swarming and standing around to partake in the drama as they should be attending to the upkeep of this place, especially if they are on the clock. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone! Let’s see if I get a call from the GM CHRIS, to discuss this matter.

Front desk lady very welcoming and helpful Very impress with the cleanliness of hotel. Room had a kingbed with a sitting area. Bathroom very clean. Clean towels. Bed very comfortable. Stayed one night. Quick stop off over night. Free Wi-Fi. Breakfast included. Choices for everyone including healthy choices. Coffee delicious. Breakfast area clean. Didn't use pool but area looks clean You can do a full body workout at the gym. Weights, elliptical, treadmill and weight bench. Elevator clean. Beautiful interior. Most of all $71 for the night. Much better deal than the websites.

There manger is rude and the housekeepers are real rude and they have a ridiculous policy saying no smoking but there's ashtrays outside and smell can't lingerie back or you have to leave.

Outstanding hotel, very modern, well kept, nice pool, staff extra friendly, has 3 washer and dryers in guest laundry, wish all comfort suites were kept to these standards.

Clean and quiet. Big TV in room and cold ac. Only thing I didn't like was my trip got cut by one day and I was charged half the room price per night for the cancellation of the one night. Other than that it was great.

If I could give it no stars I certainly would. The hotel itself is nice. We have stayed there twice in the last 3 weeks. Unfortunately this time they screwed us. We stayed one night and got charged for 4 nights. I saw it as soon as I got home which was a Saturday evening. I called the hotel numerous times and spoke with Rachel trying to get a manager to call me or take care of my problem. My husband called a final time and was told that she spoke to a manager Chris Patel and was informed not to respond to me and that I had signed a waiver to be charged twice. WTH, that doesn’t even make sense and I certainly signed nothing to be charged twice. The bad thing is I was charged double that even. I’m a manager and I would NEVER treat someone like that. They literally charged me over $600 for one night and then doesn’t even want to respond to me to correct it. Do not ever stay at this hotel if you can help it. Absolutely horrible customer service!

The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly. The bathroom had a slow leak under the sink which was never resolved. I was able to live with it for just a couple days, but they never offered a different room or a discount. I don't know if either was an option; my main concern was being able to sleep at night. Bottom line — I was able to use the bathroom (a towel on the floor was a "quick and dirty" solution) ; and for the price I paid (substantial discount through Expedia), it met my basic needs. Two things I noticed, which don't matter to me but I found interesting. 1 — there was no folder with hotel stationery. Probably another victim of the digital age, since there is free Wi-Fi in the building. 2 — no bible. Seriously. I'm not Gideon ya!

The rooms are clean and comfy. Would stay again.

At 1 am I was checked into a room that already had somebody in it, I then got moved into another dirty room 45 minutes later after repeated attempts at getting different key cards to work, then the room was dirty and had food sitting in the floor. Also an hour before our checkout time we had the cleaning people bust into the room while we were still there and changing clothes. Not a good experience and I will not be returning.

Renovated and very nice, clean and friendly. Employees were very helpful!

So it's currently undergoing renovations (032818). That said, its a very clean and comfy hotel with excellent staff and competitive pricing. Plenty of fast food (and a Cracker Barrel) nearby as well as gas stations. They serve breakfast which is about what you'd expect… nothing fancy… but not bad either.

Person that checked us in didn't know much about the hotel. I was given a handicapped room that the door would no open. Went back to desk and she said she didn't know it was handicap. My business partner was given a double room and when he got to his room it was a king. On top of the staff not knowing what room was which, we had some items stole out of our truck. When we spoke to the front desk about it, they said they have been having issues with that. Will not go back.

Easy access, nice clean room and basic breakfast was greatly appreciated. The only downside was the freight trains going by duri g the night, but the second night I slept right through their blast. Will stay there again.

Large comfortable room, super nice staff, hot breakfast, very clean room, comfortable bed, easy highway access, affordable rates.

Good location, clean, safe, newer, peaceful. Would stay there again with out hesitation.

Bathrooms not that clean but beds are nice amd comfy.

Everything was great but we would suggest putting shower floor skid pads down. Haha someone could get hurt. Other than that great!

Room is nice and big. It was very clean and the coffee is hot. If I'm in the area again this will be my choice. Staff is very friendly.

I am originally from Alexandria, LA, but I live in Mississippi now, and when I come home to visit, the only hotel I stay in is this particular Comfort Suites. With this hotel, making a reservation is always convenient and easy. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly. I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times and have never felt unsatisfied. On the last day of my most recent visit, I got a chance to speak with the General Manager, Chris Patel. Let's just say, I can tell where the staff get their exceptionally friendly attitudes. You can not go wrong in choosing this hotel for your next stay in Alexandria. Tell them Tim sent you!

Hotel was very clean and well kept. Our room was comfortable and spatious, with excellent beds. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was good coffee, but the rest of the breakfast was disappointing. Overall a very nice stay.

Clean, Good Customer service, affordable, great space for large families!

We picked this hotel for the pool, hot tub, and good user reviews. Don't let those fool you. This was by far the dirtiest bath-water hot tub and pool we've experienced. There was debris and hair floating throughout the dirt-laced foam. The hot tub is a reason we picked this place — I wouldn't even step foot in it and I'm hoping my son doesn't develop an illness from it. Speaking of hair, the BED sheets are covered in curly dark hairs-gross! We requested cleaner sheets, they told us to come down to the lobby and get them. Definitely would have stayed at a nicer property for a few dollars more had we known it was so unsanitary! The overall appearance is very nice, but deceiving. Upon requesting our next night to be cancelled due to extreme disappointment, the hotel denied us the cancellation. We were not refunded and forced to stay at another hotel for the next night.

It was nice and clean. The people that worked there were very helpful. One of the main reasons we stayed there was my husband drives a big truck and they have truck parking​. We would stay there again even if we were in our personal vehicle. Overall we had a very nice experience​.

Service terrible. Disrespectful staff. Room not cleaned when I returned from work. Nazi-like shut down of breakfast at 9am sharp, while people were in there. TV at full volume could still not be heard. Half the wall paper in the bathroom missing. Fridge at coldest setting wasn't cold. Shower took several minutes longer than normal to heat up. I literally can hear housekeeping staff outside my room complaining about a guest. Right now! I've spent 110 nights in Choice Hotels this year so far & this is the worst. Hands down. And oh yes Comfort Suites of Alexandria, LA… I have a lot of friends who travel for business and I like to share my experiences.

My reservation that I made on Choice rewards was lost. She said that that had been happening a lot. And they could not find a reservation for me anywhere in the system! The lady assured me that my card would not be double charged and it was! Now the one manager I need to refund my money will not call me back and is never there. I called Choice rewards and they mysteriously see a reservation in the system now but say it's a different date and when I can get in touch with the hotel manger I may not get my $250 back! When I checked in they said there was no reservation in my name for any dates and tried to convince me that I may have booked at a different hotel and recharged my card so I could stay! There are apparently glitches in their reservation system! The bathtub was full of water when we got there. The ceilings were peeling off and looked moldy. Had to go to desk and get our own sheets for sofa bed.

Horrible horrible horrible. Rooms not cleaned, no linens for the beds, staff tried to be calm but they get no support from Chris Patel, the manager.

Dats Wuzup very nice staff great breakfast varieties are always worthwhile. We back for 30 days.

Hotel was great but I got really bad cell phone reception in my room. Not their fault but it was a little annoying.

Paper thin walls! My kids can't even enjoy themselves (watching tv) for someone complaining. First and last time here! Freezing Cold hot tub, probably colder than the regular pool… No towels to dry off with.

Comfort Suites in Alexandria, LA, is wonderful. Our room was very comfortable, everything we needed was provided for us, and the staff was great.

This hotel is a great example of how you can fail when you hire inappropriate staff. The hotel is well-built, with large rooms with high ceilings, a lot of amenities. However, employees ruin all the comfort of staying here. First someone is lazy to renew fruits. Bananas look not very appetizing. Person who follows a healthy diet misses the breakfast because of her. Isn't this a joke that I have to have breakfast somewhere else? That's all? Hell no, it's just a beginning. 30 minutes before the breakfast ends she takes away the bread and never returns it. Why? Because she wants to finish her job faster. 20 minutes before the breakfast ends. New people are coming. She takes away those miserable fruits forever. 15 minutes: she takes away the trash can. 10 minutes. Whole area is very dirty, however our hungry breakfast facilitating lady is done. She needs rest and food. She cooks a waffle for herself. Bingo! You just destroyed reputation of your hotel for at least 30 people who had their worst breakfast ever.

Very clean, updated hotel. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked for our visit. Our room was very clean when we arrived and housekeeping did a fantastic job at keeping everything stocked for us on our trip. The poor girl up front could have used some help while we were there (there was some sort of a church convention and a softball tournament) the hotel was fully booked with tons of kids and adults to 1 person working the front (she handled it VERY well). Overall, great hotel!

For the price, this was a very nice suite. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were really clean, and breakfast was actually pretty good! We will stay hear again on our next trip from TX to FL!
