The hotel looks great from the outside and within the lobby but that's where it ends. Our room was dirty and disgusting. Upon entering our room, the tile floor was sticky with an unknown substance. Next, we attempted to put our clothes in the drawers. Upon opening the top drawer, we discovered lots of hair left in it. We went downstairs to leave for dinner and on our way out, I let the front desk agent know that our room was dirty and the specifics on what needed to be cleaned. They let me know that it should be clean because they are doing extra cleaning due to COVID. She assured me that it would be clean when we returned. We noticed that the drawer and sticky floor was clean when we returned but also noticed some additional areas that needed more attention. There was hair on the walls of the shower and hair on the sheets of one of the beds. My friend also noticed that the pillows on her bed had a strong perfume smell. This leads me to believe that the sheets had not been changed since the last guest nor had the bathroom/shower been cleaned. For the price we paid for this hotel, I expected MUCH better. On the second day, I asked for fresh towels since we were told that daily housekeeping would not be occurring due to COVID protocols. I was told that the towels were in the dryer and that they could deliver them to my room when dry. We never received the towels, even after asking for them a second time. How a hotel such as the Marriott could run out of towels is beyond me.

Beautiful facility with potential if it had better employees. Squeaky floors on the 4th floor. Dirty bathroom with molded and yellow stained shower curtain at check in. Had to beg for toilet paper, went out and bought my own. Breakfast was a mini muffin and granola bar in a paperbag. For the price I paid I expected way more. Worst Mariott experience ever.

The GM doesn’t buy laundry detergent and wash with only water, no detergent, no bleach just water!

Dirty hotel with poor customer service. Upper management has no clue what’s going on.

Hotel is great, stay was great. They only negative thing I can say is that with a 12PM check out, I didn't expect to be woke up at 8:30AM by housekeeping.

This is a fairly new hotel that is conveniently located near campus. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is a parking garage at the back of the property. By far the best place to stay when visiting Starkville.

I stayed one night. Hotel is still well-kept at 3 years old. Housekeeping can do a better job keeping the bathrooms clean. There were pubic hairs on my bath towel! Hair in the toilet and tub when we arrived. This is very disgusting. Lastly the front desk rep, Marquez, has the worst personality for guest services. Very dry, no warm welcome, zero eye contact, as if we ruined his day. Same thing at check-out… When I asked him questions he would look down or towards the lobby. Other than that, the hotel was in good shape.

I was only there to visit one of their guests, so I only made it as far as the lobby. There was nice comfortable lounge seating, which is where I spent all of my time.

The rooms are modern and nice. Internet TV with YouTube and Netflix built in. Clean environment. No complimentary or continental breakfast. No microwaves in standard room.

Hotel is beautiful inside and out located right at the heart of MSU. If you arrive late at night you have to park in the adjust parking deck and you have a little bit of a walk. The deck is well lit.

Awesome staff and very clean. The pool and outdoor jacuzzi is a major Plus due to its modern appeal.

A wonderful place just outside of Mississippi State. We had a nice event there very clean very modern very comfortable.

Not sure who's the GM, but she is not doing a good job. The GM, housekeeping manager, and the housekeeping staff should get more training. My room was not clean. It was horrible. Not really sure who to blame but I stay in Marriotts all the time and I know this is not their practice.

Great hotel to stay at. Service was awesome and room was clean and nice. Only issue was that my truck was broken into in the parking garage. I would suggest more security and for anyone staying there to not leave any valuables in their vehicles.

Beautiful place to stay. We only stayed for one night but we we're comfortable and well rested for our long road trip back home to Texas.

New, clean, beautifully hip and a great staff… save for the Bistro employees. But I recommend and will most certainly return.

We love this hotel because of its location. The front desk staff was not particularly polite. Our Room wasn't ready because a big group was checking out late and no rooms were cleaned. Frustrating. The bed was not as comfortable as the usual courtyard that I've stayed in. The air conditioner will shut off if you stop moving around the room. There is no bathtub just a shower without a door that gets the bathroom floor wet. They need to rethink all of that.

Other than the fact that parking is detached, everything about the location is superior. The hotel is ultra modern and designed with the business traveler in mind. Great lounge. Friendly staff. Everything you need for your stay in Starkville. Go Dawgs!

Located directly across from the MSU campus, the hotel offers everything you'd expect from Marriott. Offering a separate seating/lounging area, this suite is spacious! There is a small workspace, two televisions, lounging space (with pull-out sofa), two smaller chairs, keurig machine, microwave, mini fridge, and two queen beds. The closet is adequately sized and contains an ironing board. The bathroom is large. The tub/ shower combo has a bench, plenty of handrails, and two shower heads. It would accommodate differently able guests perfectly!

The only reason I didn’t give this place five stars is because parking is detached, but everything about the location is superior. The hotel is ultra modern and designed with the business traveler in mind. Great lounge. Friendly staff. Everything you need for your stay in Starkville. Go Dawgs!

We enjoy staying at this Courtyard while in Starkville. It is very convenient to Mississippi State University and several restaurants and other shops. The facility is very clean and fairly new. Accommodations are very modern with several usb outlets in each room for charging phones, watches, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Rooms are very nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. Have a pantry and a bistro. Nice pool and workout room. Walking distance to restaurants. Overall a very nice hotel.

Really clean and nice rooms. Conference held in The Mills next door, which was beautiful. Great food, drinks, and service by staff.

Met friends there for football game. Staff excellent. Facilities awesome.

Great hotel! Super friendly, excellent customer service, very clean and within walking distance to places we needed to be (on campus and some off-campus restaurants). Will definitely try to stay there again on our next visit to Starkville!

The rooms are nice, well furnished, and modern. There is a very nice walk in shower in the bathroom in every room I've stayed in. The hotel is very conveniently located near MSU, and it has on site parking.

Gorgeous hotel. Room 314 was very modern & clean. Friendly staff at front desk. I especially loved the pool area & gas fire pits to sit around at night. Very convenient parking garage.

The accommodations were not the problem but what happened after check out has been a HUGE PROBLEM. I left an item there, called them the same day I checked out, they verified they had it, asked me to fill out an authorization form and give them a credit card with a photo of front and back through email. They still had my original $40 from check out on hold (they could have deducted it from this but did not). I called, they said they didn't get the email because the reply went to their copier. I sent another email to the managers work email. I called after a couple of days, she said she couldn't open the files. Two days ago I sent another email with screen shots of the form and the credit card. I'm checking my card to see if there is a charge for postage and this morning still not… I checked out 8 days ago. I call, the manager isn't in, the desk employee said she's not authorized, etc. Would have been helpful if someone had called me to let me know there was a problem but I had to check up on it. I'm ready to drive the 5 1/2 hours to pick it up myself I'm so over this. It took them 5 days to refund the $40 incidentals deposit. I told desk employee have the manager email me because if she calls I'm gonna yell.

1st room was not clean. Beer bottle and cup was on the window ledge. Called down to front desk, where the very polite and nice young lady offered another room. New room was clean except bathtub had a red ring around it. We only showered. Otherwise nice hotel.

The rooms were very nice but slightly cramped. Bed was really soft as we're the comforter and sheets. Pool and hot tub was really awesome!

The front desk person was really helpful and very intelligent if I had to go back I woudn't have a problem as long as she is there. Had a long conversation a few couple long conversations she alone made the stay worth while. If every hotel had somebody like that who was friendly traveling would be that much easier.

My boyfriend was injured at the hotel on April, 22, 2017. We enjoy our trip until we came back from a repast and saw our room was not clean. This happen even when we arrived there our room was not clean, not towel bed was not made. We order food over $150 from grill they had … No one removed the food until the next day off the table by the swimming area… Saturday a housekeeper offer us condiments soap, shampoo… We wonder why she asking us this… Should be in the room when we get it clean. There's not enough help whirlpool was full of wet towels laying around. My boyfriend is a Dr. Who expected for the hotel insurance to call him. They has bad serve CD a lack of compassion from other being hurt on courtyard property from no housekeeping to clean up the whirlpool and swimming area.
This is sad we never stay there again…

Everything is new and clean. You can log into your Netflix or YouTube account on the TV. My wife and I got the single king bed room, and the bed is extremely comfortable. They also have a couch in the room that I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to buy for my house. The room also has a small refrigerator. Only dumbbells (up to 50 lb) with a bench and cardio machines at the fitness center (not even a pullup bar) at the fitness center. Local beers available at the bar and the snack shop area. Very nice lounge area inside and out. Gas fire pits outside. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to campus or the cotton district.

Airconditioner didn't cool the room well. Called the front desk but they didn't seem to care. Internet would not even load a page well let alone stream video. I've stayed at marriots hundreds of times with few complaints but this one was maybe the worse.

This is the best stay in Starkville by a good measure. Grade A location and a parking garage would be enough, but the hotel amenities are excellent. This is a new hotel, so as a Platinum member, there is room for improvement. Nothing that I need to mention or be critical of. This is a great room anywhere, not just Starkville or the surrounding area.

Hosted our school for a conference. Great place with good accommodations.

Friendly staff, and kids loved the outdoor seating with fire pits. Love the proximity to campus and downtown area.

The Starkville courtyard met all expectations. The room was clean, spacious, and pleasant to be in. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom has a ceiling vent so you don't have to sweat it out after taking a shower.

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were super soft and the layout of the rooms were great. The furniture and lighting was really cool. I was very impressed.

The Courtyard Marriott in Starkville is conveniently located off of Highway 12 and close to Mississippi State University. A parking garage is detached from the hotel and available for guests. Every employee has been considerate, kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The costs for the room could be more affordable and that is one of the main reasons I did not give five stars.

We had a great experience with our stay at the Courtyard as well as with the event staff at The Mill. The food was delicious, and everyone worked hard with us during the planning as well as during the preparations and production of our event. We would definitely recommend The Mill at MSU facilities for hosting large groups — — there is plenty of space to spread out and the air conditioning was very much appreciated! It is pretty special to know that such a wonderful, historic building can be modernized with character in the way that The Mill was. Staying next door at the Courtyard was extremely convenient, and the nice new rooms, lobby and pool area were enjoyed by many of our guests as well. It is a great set up, and we definitely recommend these properties and services! If I had to find a complaint, I would agree that a continental breakfast service is available at hotels of comparable price and would have been an improvement. Also, it would have been nice if the ballroom decor/color palette was a little more *flexible* for formal events.
