Wonderful place to stay. The price is right.

My experience at this motel was horrible from the very start. When my family and I first arrived the owner of the motel stated she did not have any rooms available. I brought out my paperwork showing my reservations for 3 rooms with double beds. The owner still insisted we had no reservations and she was booked all weekend even though the motel sign flashed vacancies. Next I dug in my bag and produced the email confirming my reservation from her website. She read it and stated she would be back. She went back to the back office and came back to the counter clearly irritated and stated she had 3 single rooms. It was rather convenient that suddenly she had 3 rooms available and they were all by each other. After that we went to our rooms. My family had unit The bed was uncomfortable and very uneven. When u laid on it the bed tilted. The bathroom had several cracked areas on the tile and our light in the "living room" was fixed with Duct tape. My mothers mom reeked of marijuana. When my mom went to the owner to complain the owner stated " the rooms no smell. This is my motel. You don't like then leave". We tried the best we could to air out the room. The second day the room still smelled. My sisters room reeked of cat urine. We basically slept at the motel and that was all. The one good thing was the pool, it was very nice. Next year we are returning for another trip to Wisconsin Dells but will not be returning here.

Reasons for giving the lowest stars was because of the room cleanliness and troubles we ran into. Tonight we got to the motel and already I had a bad feeling because of the quality of the office and how unattentive the motel owner was. Owner was kind at first. My boyfriend and I went into the room and forst impressions were okay. But as I took a look around I noticed some serious issues. One was the air conditioner was a brown, outdated 90's machine that blew out warm air. When I went to use the bathroom, ants were crawling from in and out of the wall. When I tried to get the air conditioner to work, I noticed it wasn't properly put in so I could actually see the outside from our room because of the big gap between the a/c and the wall. Also, when I went to sit on our bed, the whole thing fell to one side. This motel room (#19) had electrical issues or more like hazards! The outlet was never properly installed so it was coming off the wall and the light about the T. V looked weak. After we saw dead bees by the window I flipped out and asked my boyfriend to flush them down the toilet because I didn't want our daughter getting into bugs. So after addressing all these issues with the owner, amd asking for a proper refund, she actually told us to show her the bugs and flies we said were taking over the room. I explained to her several times that my boyfriend flushed down the dead bugs already but she continued to lash out and actually called us, LIARS!

We stayed last week for our family vacation. The accommodations and set up worked well for our group. We were able to gather in the courtyard or on our patios to visit. The pool was steps from our cabin and with the 9 foot deep end, the kids loved it. The rooms were clean and comfortable; the mattresses were very firm and comfortable. To stay here, you must accept this is a motel, not a five star resort. The location was close enough for us to walk downtown and by the river. We have a large dog and he was very welcome at this motel. The owner was friendly and very helpful. If you plan to cook in the room, you may need to bring some larger pots and pans and some silverware. Sadly, the rooms only have the basic dishware due to thefts from prior guests. We would definitely stay there again.

Just got back from a family reunion at the Deer Trail Motel, we had 9 rooms and a lot of family and we all loved it! The rooms were larger than expected, the bed was comfortable and all the rooms were beautifully decorated. The setup outside makes it easy to sit and connect with family. It's in a quiet location but it's close enough to the downtown area so you can walk. There's a cute playground for children of all ages and a nice pool to take a swim. We feel in love with the owner Tasha because she is so sweet and works so hard to make your stay enjoyable. Her prices are reasonable to. Everyone has agreed that we will be returning again next year!

We had to buy a new air conditioner because the one provided in the room was broken. The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but it didn't matter because there was a pool to entertain us.

Dump. Rooms are small. Beds are worn out. Place smelt old. Not very secure door locks either. Our water never got hot in the shower.

I have to amend my review. Previosly I had called about Veteran rates & make reservation and was told "No one speakers English. " That was a real "What The!? " I'd never visited The Dell's and after calling so many other places with receptionist who couldn't speak English… this was crazy to me. Be patient on the phone, the owner is adorable older Polish lady with a heavy accent. In person her accent is much easier to understand. She is super kind and friendly, Not at all how I felt from our first phone conversation. If you are looking for modern rooms that lack character, I'd suggest you go on by. My room remind me of staying at rural Bavarian B&Bs. The sheets are clean and soft, while the flower design invokes the Bavarian B&B feel lol. Found the bed comply and the pillows too. The room was a bit stuffy, but airing it out was easy. No it isn't modern, but it is quaintly inviting. There are plates, cups, silverware, kettle, hot plate, skillet and pan. Fridge is a 5 foot one, so you have room to put that pizza you had delivered or basics for cooking in your room. There isnt an exhaust fan, but windows and big sliding doors will allow plenty of fresh air. Have a good trip to the Dell's where ever you stay!

Had an awesome experience. The owner was so sweet and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend staying there if you have a family.

The owner is very nice and the rooms have a refrigerator and a store. The room also has dishes. The water is nice and hot. When you ask for extra things she is very nice about it. The bed was ok to sleep in.

Best place to stay with the family and dog. Best staff in the world wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

The rooms have a stove and refrigerator. The staff is very nice. There is a pool that gets very deep and a playground For kids. They have grills that you can use for ten dollars. They also have picnic tables and chairs.

Wish it had Wi-Fi but the owners were nice and the rooms were clean. Very affordable.

We've stayed here numerous times over 15 years. The location can't be beat. It's less than 1/2 mile to downtown Dells and just across the street from the river access. Even with the close proximity it's very quiet and private with beautiful flowers. The pool is clean. The owners are really nice people who show great pride in their motel. I love supporting local small businesses in the Dells where huge corporations are taking over.

Clean rooms, good service and nice owner. Prices are very good and negotiable if you take more than one room. Wi-fi is the only issue I have where it doesnt reach if you're in a room too far away from the office. Other than that its a great place to stay.

The owners are very nice. The room has a refrigerator, stove, plates and silverware. The only things the kitchen dose not have is pots and pans. The room has a nice size closet and the bathroom is a good size. They have toys in the back that the kids can play on. The toys are plastic slides and all plastic. I love the floors in the room. The pool gets very deep on the deep end. The pool is outside. The beds are nice to sleep on. I like the sheets on the bed. They are blue and white. The refrigerator is a good size. The stove is like an apartment stove.

Such a relaxed environment. Nice and quiet. Pool was great rooms were cleaned every day and the owner was so friendly. Lived it! The only thing was no Wi-Fi.

I loved staying at the deer trail motel! the owners are very friendly and the motel itself was very clean and within walking distance of the main downtown area. Would definitely like to visit again and will be recommending it to friends/family.

They have super clean rooms, Wi-Fi, right down the street from downtown, the owners are so sweet and caring, the pool is refreshing and clean and I highly recommend it staying there! I don't have a bad word to say about this place!

I loved the deer trail motel. It was very cozy and I will be returning very soon.

My single bed room came with a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and moderate TV. It was clean, quiet, and reasonably close to the main drag (7 min walk if you take your time). The owner was very nice and personable. The fleece under the comforter, however, was pretty epic (I am referring to the the design).

It was ok only there for a short time.

Wonderful motel away from the main drag. We had a nice 2 queen room with a kitchenette. They are pet friendly, and the owners even came to say hi to our Great Pyrenees. There is limited internet, but that doesn't bother my family. Well maintained and private. We will return.

The best customer service we encountered in Wisconsin Dells!

We stayed there for a week with my family and the owner made us feel at home. She was very sweet. The rooms are big, clean and they have everything you need. I definitely recommend Deer Trail Motel to my family and friends. It's affordable and just a perfect place to stay! ☺

Ma & Pa place can't be beat! Great place to stay!
