Update… A manager from the hotel made the effort to follow up with me, listen and try to embrace my feedback, learn and improve. Also, the incorrect charges on my credit card did get sorted out. The person who helped check me in on Sunday, July 1st, 2018 was nice enough to grant us a late check-out. The room I booked was not ready but because we took a different room he was accommodating with the late check-out. Upon check out however I mysteriously found a few random charges on my bill. I brought this to the attention of the lady helping me check out and her initial response was that I could call back and sort it out with the manager at the restaurant when they got in later in the day. I brought their mistake to her attention very calmly and was pretty quickly met with a raised voice and not much willingness to help try and figure out the issue. I explained that I was flying out of town and it then occurred to her to ask her manager about these random charges. She said that after looking into things with her manager they thought the charges were made by someone at the restaurant who mistakenly gave my room number. They said that they would take care of the issue. I got a business card for a manager at the hotel in case they weren't able to correctly sort out the problem. With the charges still present on my credit card statement a couple days later I followed up by email with the manager who's business card I had grabbed. A week later and still no response from the manager… The hotel itself was okay. There was a noisy air conditioning unit in the room that was pretty close to one of the beds which made it hard to sleep.
