Great Experience will come back.

Stayed there last night. When we notified the front desk that the TV wouldn't change channels (from the hotel channel), they sent up a new remote. When the new remote still wouldn't change the channel from the "Marriott home channel", they sent up someone in a "security" jacket to check it out. The TV still didn't work properly (still stuck on the Marriott channel) and that person said they'd let the front desk know and would be back. When no one returned by midnight, we went to sleep. We discussed this with the front desk this morning. We felt that due to the inconvenience, some $$ should come off of the $260 one night stay. Front desk person said after he "verified" that we had a problem then he could email us. He told us that he had to "check out our story" and would be in touch. We should have just had him go up to our room then and there so he could "check it out" for himself. The TV didn't work and he was essentially calling us liars. We got an email from them a short while ago saying that "the TV worked without issue" and that they wouldn't be taking any money off of the bill. Bad enough that the TV was frozen on the hotel ads channel. But what really steams me is the implication that we lied about it.

Beware! if you try to cancel because of covid the day of, they will not refund anything! even with proof they say it's against policy. Ridiculous. Took days for someone to even email me back about no refunds.

Stayed there the night after Thanksgiving. Wasn't too busy which means we had great/amazing service. Just waiting to hear back from them about an extremely expensive piece of jewelry I had left behind (im assuming its gone for good, total bad on my part. ) but had a great experience for my bday! just hoping housekeeping found it the lost jewelry.

Thank you so much to all of the staff at Aloft Milwaukee Downtown. We used them for our wedding room block over the weekend. They were so helpful & accommodating! Greta (our coordinator) went above and beyond to make sure our weekend was flawless. We appreciate her communication skills & flexibility. Thanks again!

Best hotel in Milwaukee! — looking for recommendations.

Staff have been great! Welcoming at the front desk, the room was in great shape, and they responded very quickly with a thorough vacuuming when a mason jar we brought along shattered. Best of all there was no fee for having our dog with us, which is very unusual.

Room was great. Clean & comfortable. Dylan (valet), and Greg (front desk), were extremely helpful with suggestions on food n fun places to try. Even checked with us the following day to see if we enjoyed the places we tried. Valet Dylan hooked us up with the best parking spot for the motorcycle. Valuable if you ride in!

We prepaid for our suite. Once we checked out they charged us again. Apparently when they, for lack of a better word, “steal” money from our account they can’t resolve the issue for up to 5 days. I highly recommend not staying here unless your willing to risk loaning out your money for a week while they wait for a manager to be on duty, which we were unable to speak to because the managers hours are 11pm to 7am. How convenient! Avoid this place!

No remote for the TV in the room when they did bring me a remote the guy didn't work don't like the new age room I need dresser drawers to put my things in don't like the washroom set up after leaving I paid valet $30 in cash for my car being away overnight and later found out that the hotel charge my credit card $31.68 for the ballet who knew they were charging the ballet to my card I didn't want to charge don't want to pay cash and how did the extra dollar and $0.68 come about so I'm very irate and very unhappy with this hotel they know it waiting to speak with them customer service head person is giving me a call back so that we can resolve this they won't see me again at Aloft.

Didn’t like the boxed in feeling! Room was very uninviting and why no bathroom doors! A sliding door offers no privacy! The only thing this place has to offer is their location and high prices!

Excellent stay at Aloft. My room was large and had great views. Love the large bathroom area. The best part is that it's on the river walk and an easy walk to downtown or just enjoying the river area.

Pool, both kinds…, a bar, games, on the river to easily walk around, fairly priced. I didn't buy their breakfast. Seems everyone complains about paying for it. Honestly, I've only had a few good hotel breakfasts. You're always better trying out what the town has to offer or bringing your own banana. Everything is very modern. I had no issues with the room. A vibrating bed for a quarter is the only improvement to be made.

The aloft brandy has not disappointed me yet! The hotel has a bar open in the evening, pool and fitness room open 24h and the location is great. The room was very clean and comfortable. Checkin was smooth and quick. When I head back to the area, I'll most definitely stay there again.

Great modern hotel in downtown Milwaukee. Great value for the 100 dollars I paid for the night, although there is a hidden 30 dollar parking fee that must be considered when parking. Rooms are quiet and clean. The staff are knowledgeable of the area and recommended various places for dinner. I would definitely come here again If I stay a night in Milwaukee.

The room was very nice, although not as clean as most hotels I've visited. The staff was a little less than friendly, but helpful and professional. The quality of the hotel overall was impressive given the price and location.

Knowing that I was staying in Milwaukee on a busy week I figured I would call in advance to verify my room would be ready that night. The manager said “yes we have you down and you are all set for your stay with us this week. ” Come to find out when I went to check in that they no longer had a room for me because they had a room out of order and they just booked me a hotel room at another hotel. Would have been nice to know this. They were not very sincere in their apology. They did pay for my first nights stay at the other hotel which was nice. I have read other reviews that they have done this to other people also. I think they like to act as if they are a airline and overbook themselves. Not impressed.

I recently stayed at the Aloft Milwaukee location during Memorial Day weekend, and was utterly disappointmented with the level of service provided by the staff. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was amazed to hear that the hotel keeps only 1 rollaway, while I understand it was taken, what would they do in the even a large family or party arrived? Then, I received no gift for being a Platinum Preferred Guest. Upon arriving at the room, we discovered the TV didn't work and staff ma…de no attempts to fix it that night. The next day, upon returning the room was never clean, we requested it 3 different times that day, and it was still never cleaned, finally we just gave up. The TV was still not fixed either. I will not be recommending this property to any friends or family that are looking to stay at a property in Milwaukee, for the money I paid any hotel would have been a better option than this one. The only redeeming feature of this hotel was it's location. Everything else was abysmal. Thanks,

Great location in the downtown river area. Clean rooms updated hotel. Staff was marginally friendly. It's a nice updated, clean minimalistic hotel in a great location.

They are nothing but professional and accommodating. Best customer service and relations. We requested an early check in and arrived super early. No rooms were ready however they went out of their way to ensure our room (that had to be pet friendly as well) was first priority so that we could safely house our dog while we were at the celtics game. Job well done Aloft.

Quality, but you pay for it. Rooms were nice but small. Overall the hotel was wonderful. My lack of stars is for the forced valet parking, and slow valet service. Not the best location is you plan a lot of driving… you'll spend more time waiting for your car. They need to resolve their valet issues and they would get five stars.

I’ll start with the positives: at check in the front desk was very friendly and at checkout they were friendly and quick. Now the negatives. This place seems understaffed. It took 10 minutes just to charge a few drinks to my room. The selection of drinks is rather disappointing too. Our room was dirty and (literally) falling apart. The bathroom door was not level so never had a full sense of privacy. There was food on the floor from the previous guest and the nightstand had a disguising stain on it. The bathroom floor was also fairly dirty with random foot prints and grime. The internet was fairly slow as well. Also keep in mind that this is near Water Street so expect it to be noisy when the bars start letting out at night. I was excited for my stay here but was incredibly disappointed. I will not be staying here in the future.

The place is beautiful. My view from the room had beautiful buildings in the corners and construction in the middle but construction will be fine at some point and this will be a great view. Lots of windows and natural light. The room has a HDMI connection on the desk that connects to the TV in the room which is great for games or sharing a PowerPoint and testing your presentation. The room isn't large but the space is used well and it feels comfortable and everything has a spot.

Great location from the BMO center, reasonably priced, and very accommodating staff. The lobby bar is affordable and has daily drink specials that are very good. It is also dog friendly so that is a huge plus. My only complaint is in relation to their mandatory valet parking. There are cheaper options in the surrounding area but they pretty much require you to use their services. However, the in and out service was a plus. Just be expected to wait 10-15 minutes to get your car.

Overall not a bad hotel, the rooms are a bit small for the average Midwestern hotel. It has a trendy look and is by most things in downtown. It is within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Also the rates are reasonable for downtown.

If I could give it zero starts, I absolutely would. First, I booked my room for 2 nights online, in advance. I show up to check in and “their systems are down”. My reservations aren’t showing up in the system at all, had to wait 20 minutes, and when it did show up, the booking was wrong. Instead of changing it to suit the 2 nights I needed, they suggested I just add another night. Stating they’re unable to change an already booked room. So I was like whatever, I’ll book the room an extra night. So I had a room booked for a total of THREE nights. The first night was fine, and I called the following morning to make sure the online booking was still in place, and I still had the room for the following three nights. I was told everything was fine, and I was able to stay. Fast forward 6 hours, they call me and tell me I need to check out, stating, “you were supposed to checkout at noon and that room is no longer available. The hotel is fully booked and we cannot extend your stay. We need you to checkout. ” After one night, they forced me to checkout. One night. It’s a god awful establishment and I would not ever recommend staying there. Plenty of other hotels that are MUCH nicer.

Great location. Front desk folks were efficient and helpful. Room clean and well appointed. Valets were very helpful and pleasant. Second time here, will definitely come back.

Love the decor. Location is great. Wished there were more breakfast options for restricted diet. We were unable to control temp in room. Too hot or too cold all night. Bed was hard.

The hotel was ok but the staff was phenomenal. They made our stay. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We were first greeted by the valet. She was so welcoming. And all of the front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and professional.

Great location. Close to lots of excellent nightlife. The rooms aren't very sound proof so you can hear doors slamming all night. Parking is hard here, but they have unlimited in and out valet for $28 for a 24 hour period. Say hi to Sam, he's a good guy.

The room was clean, the atmosphere was modern, metro and trendy. It reminded me of an upscale designer dorm room. Definitely a great spot to come back to after a night out.

Can't valet a truck and trailer, went back and forth with some VERY inappropriate valet employees, asked for managers number and was ignored. Pushed it further and went to the front desk for the valet managers number and received it, called and no answer. Valet sent pictures of my truck to her "boss" and when I finally got in contact with him, he was very short, had the "my way or the highway" mindset, didn't even try to park my truck when I stated I would pay for 2 spots. Was then told that would work, then minds changed. He was very disrespectful to me as a customer, didn't care that I paid for a room, basically told me to screw off and when I said I'm done with this hotel, he hung up. Was told my money would be refunded that night and it wasn't. Very poor experience overall and was looking forward to the stay. Was very mislead. Oh and we didn't get the room we paid for either. "It was booked" Don't plan on going back ever. Sad it worked the way it did my friends and I were excited.

Stayed here one night. Pretty impressive. Very clean, and modern amenities. The room was amazing. I've stayed in quite a few hotels over the years. This one is pretty high on my list of favorites. Great location. I have raved about our stay to everyone I know and showed them the pictures and they all couldn't believe it. If you are debating on staying here, do it. And get the valet, it's worth it as parking is across the river. And Old World 3rd St. Is awesome. Lots of great places close by.

Hotel is in a good location, but you do have to pay for valet parking. Lobby was clean, however our room was a different story. The bed was not comfortable, or were the pillows. The view of the river was pretty, but very noisy. The bathroom door to the toilet was very odd (like a sliding door) and did NOT lend to privacy, so be comfortable with whomever is staying with you. Worst of all, our bathroom floor was STICKY and GROSS. We nicely told the girl in reservations that we'd be out so someone could come in to clean it and she said it would be done before we came back, but it was not. We got in very late at night and the hotel was booked, so switching rooms was not an option. We told the same girl at check out that it had not been cleaned and her reply was dismissively "sorry about that". This hotel it was not worth the price we paid. Next time I would spend a few bucks extra and stay somewhere else.

It is a good central downtown Milwaukee location. There is no parking on site. So you either have to pay $27 to valet parking or park in a paid lot a few blocks away. The room was small in size, but bright and comfortable. My room faced the road and was quite loud throughout the evening and morning as cars drown over the bridge outside located right near the hotel. The room contained a safe which I thought was nice, but had no microwave. There is no restaurant onsite, but they do offer a 24 hour grab and go food and drink section located in the lobby. The lobby was very trendy and had time of seating and a small bar located off to the side.

Modern look. Very friendly staff, Jay at the valet is great. Spacious bathroom area, but the door to the bathroom is a sliding door that does not close all the way, and the shower heads provide no water pressure. Comfortable beds and pillows. Reasonable priced and dog friendly.

I enjoyed Aloft Milwaukee. I wasn't too excited about listening to the Packer game in the lobby. I wanted peace and quiet. I like the toiletries the bed was nice and the decor was acceptable. Thank you.

Hotel is modern and rooms are nice most especially the suite, if available. The keyless entry system from cell phone only worked the first time and additional keys made didn't end up working so had to go back to front desk from room several times. Margarita in Valet is very professional and super helpful. The valance at top of curtains should be longer to block sun and light coming in from the top corners.

Your first question is always going to be where do I stay? We stayed at the Aloft Milwaukee Downtown and I truly could not have been happier! We had to wait a bit to valet, so give yourself a little extra time for that. When we checked in, the staff was friendly and helped me with all of my tourism type questions. We walked into our spacious room with a room viewing the water. It was absolutely gorgeous! Check out this incredible view. We ubered from the hotel to our destinations and it was perfect. It was less than 10 minutes from everything we were going to. We came back to the hotel after our first night and stopped at the hotel bar to have a few drinks. It's a great open bar and the staff was ever so kind! I couldn't say one bad thing about the bar if I wanted to. It was relaxing and inviting at the same time. On day number two, we came back to relax at the hotel after dinner and it started to rain. We sat inside the lobby and by the fireplace they had some games. We grabbed some drinks and played some connect 4 and Uno! Doesn't get better than that. The hotel is inviting and comforting for couples and families alike. They even have an outside area where you can sit and relax with firepits. You walk outside the back of the hotel straight to the river walk. It was such a peaceful day and great experience to walk right on the riverwalk. We walked straight over the riverwalk to dinner and back.

First and foremost this place is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby is inviting and open. It has a Modern feel to it. The room was very clean as well. Now for the loss of a Star, there are only two light switches at the entrance so the bathroom light will be on to where if someone was trying to sleep could be distribed. There wasn't a light in the shower area so it was kind of dark in the shower but there is a large frosted window that allows light to come in. The shower handle was loose and the worst part of this room and I would think that it was consistent with the other rooms was the door that separates the toilet and the sink area, it is a sliding door that does not seal so that there is a gap at either end of the door to allow any noise coming from the toilet area to the rest of the room. Other than that I didn't hear any other noise from any other guests. Great stay and would stay again except I would find my only parking and save the $27.00 it costs to park your car which was not included in the price of the hotel.

Room was clean, but several things made this visit not five star. — Toilet paper was almost out, with no replacement. I had to ask cleaning crew for a full. — Only 3 towels for double occupancy room. — We were told it was a river view room, and it wasn't (Rm 2003 can barely see the river) — Called front desk to ask a question, no answer after 1 minute of ringing — Same thing when cashed for original booking — Pool was almost out of towels. We used 4 of the last 7. — Was told we must valet the car for $27; but find out later there are self parking lots available a block away. Even when staying in downtown Chicago, valets tell us where we can self park. — Mattresses slide all over the platform; however, very comfortable mattresses.

I'd like the ability to give ratings on specific issues, because the three star rating I have given to Aloft Milwaukee Downtown is in no way indicative of the level of service I was provided as a guest. If I were reading service alone, this locating would warrant five stars, no questions asked. That being said, my three star rating is given based primarily on our room. We had a "King Suite" during our stay. Having patronized many many hotels over the years, I have come to expect that a "King Suite" means, a king sized bed and some other form of furniture that typically serves as additional sleeping spot for additional guests. This was not the case with our room, 3001 and the identical room, 4001, just above ours that our friends stayed in. Each room had a king sized bed, a small bench (not sleepable for an adult) and an adjoining room with two very small chairs and a full sized table with 4 metal chairs. This additional room made no sense… not just for our group, but would serve no purpose for most travelers. Upon asking, the only available option was a small inflatable mattress for children. Circling back to my three star rating… on account of the impeccable service, I would stay at Aloft Milwaukee Downtown again. I will change my rating to 4 or 5 stars if this location will equip their Suites with an alternative sleeping option for additional guests.

I booked a Riverview room 4 months ago. I pull up and valet is the only parking option $27/day. I check in, go to my room and have a street view. Went back down to the front desk and showed them my confirmation that I booked a Riverview room. Their explanation was that they have wedding parties that want rooms near each other so they moved me. I stayed the night in room with a street view and barely slept die to all the street noise. In the morning I explained by displeasure with the room and cancelled with 2nd nights stay with no cancellation fees. I had to beg for a printout of the cancellation. I also asked they pass the message to management that they are giving the message that not all customers are important and they are only concerned about lining their pockets.

Nice clean modern hotel. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. They have an app you can use as your room key, but I was disappointed to find you can only set it up on one phone. So if you want multiple keys you still have to get a physical one. I love the soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower. Probably a lot less wasteful than the tiny bottles. Free Wi-Fi but it is fairly slow. Not unbearably slow, but slow enough to notice if you're downloading anything.

The rooms are nice and clean, we had a room that overlooked the river. The staff is super nice and accommodating and the location is close to basically everything, we were just a short Uber ride away from must see locations. We would definitely stay here again when we're in Milwaukee.

These comments are not particular to the Milw location, but are definitely applicable to it: The construction of the hotel is such that sound travels easily from floor to floor and hall to room. The windows are not sufficiently covered do light comes in quite easily. Darkness is not an option. The fan/air conditioner had one setting, loud. (Actually, high). It's a hotel for the young or very drunk, those who can pass out, rather than fall asleep.

The hotel is located right downtown, a perfect spot for seeing a show at the Pabst Theater. The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Like the modern decor of rooms and lounge, desk, etc. Each night (except night leading to checkout) of "going green" (declining service) brings a $5 certificate to use in any of the areas that have food or drinks. Our room faced a courtyard, so I'd ask for a city-facing room in the future. Walking distance to some great dining options.

The location is great, right in the middle of the downtown area. It's close to the law school, the Bradley Center, and Water Street. The rooms are pretty good. I like that they have the soad and shampoo in the shower and not in the tiny bottles. What I don't like about the rooms is the lighting. It has those harsh lights, it's always too bright. Also with the lights, when you turn on the bathroom light, the bedroom us pretty bright. It's fine if you're alone, but sharing a room with someone who wants to sleep, it stinks. It's very modern, almost trying too much in my opinion. I suggest parking your own car. They charge 27 to valet it to the lot which costs 10, and is a block away.

Very nice hotel. Their valet parking is pretty much a must unless you want to walk quite a ways but it was worth the money. The room was clean and well stocked with complimentary items if needed. They even had body wash and shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower and aini fridge under the sink. The only complaint is that there isn't a true bathroom door. It's a sliding door in front of the bathroom entrance. It doesn't fully block the doorway so there are gaps on each side which makes it so you can hear everything. Everything else was great and all of the staff were very friendly and professional. Definitely recommend if you're not bothered by the bathroom door.

Only used Aloft for the valley parking for a Bucks game. Lobby was very nice. Cool bar area and welcoming employees. Would like to try to stay at the hotel some time.

This is a nice hotel with a modern flair. Walkable to many things, including Brady St. And Old World Third St. Activities. The rooms could use a little decoration to not look so bland, and many have only a view of the inside courtyard. Pool is nice, but could use cleaning. Staff were friendly. Parking is non-existent, and valet is quite expensive for the area. Plan on street parking or finding another local lot to save money.

Great stay that just misses the mark. While Aloft provides a great atmosphere that aligns with comfortability and style, the dark theme for the hotel is somewhat off putting. The darker features of the drapes, carpet and hallways suggest a feel different than a hotel. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay at Aloft.

Nice, comfortable hotel in a great location. No frills but it doesn't feel cheap. You can tell whoever designed it was trying so, so hard to appeal to Millennials, but I did like it, so mission accomplished? Liked the pet friendly policies and easy going vibe.

The Aloft in downtown Milwaukee is in a decent location, walkable to most interesting areas. The rooms are clean and familiar and the bar lounge area is hopping with activity. I tried the keyless room entry (mobile) and needed to tell the associate at the front desk to approve my request. So, unfortunately, the check in want as smooth as I had hoped, but better than most.
