Before you reserve a room, make sure you understand the “cancellation processing fee”. I cancelled over a month in advance and they charged me a $20 fee. They charge this for all cancellations made 14 days or more prior to arrival date. I know that CC fees aren’t $20 so they are making that on every single cancellation. Hmmmmm. Shame on me for not realizing this when I made the reservation. I’ve never been to this resort before and was really looking forward to it but my dates changed. Due to this policy, I will definitely find somewhere else to stay on my next trip to Door County.

We are from Kenosha, WI we came to visit and loved it! We were able to recharge and loved speaking to Luke & Warren about the property. You can tell they care. Clean and quiet, hot tub & pool were super nice, thank you for everything will be back I’m sure, until next time.

This is mostly an adult only resort (no child under 13 allowed). The resort is near many Sister Bay attractions. It has a beautiful property overlooking the bay. The second floor water view suite was clean, well appointed with a whirlpool tub, 2 luxury showers, loft area with second bed, 3 TVs, counter with microwave, good sized fridge, sink, fireplace, sofa bed, rocker recliner, and spaciousness. The view of the bay from the balcony is excellent. The resort has an outdoor fire pit, heated pool, outdoor spa, horseshoe area, bean bag, shuffle board, nice seating areas, bikes, kayaks, tennis court, walking paths.
The staff are friendly and professional. This is a pleasant resort.

Beautiful grounds, great breakfast included and so close to Sister Bay! Our room was small but very clean and comfortable! The grounds are amazing, tucked back away from noise and beautifully wooded with shoreline access and walking paths.

Resort is very peaceful! But still very close to downtown Sister Bay. Staff was friendly and helpful! Free breakfast in the morning was great! I would definitely recommend this place to others!

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were amazing. The grounds are gorgeous, we enjoyed the corn hole and the whirlpool. They served a really nice spread for breakfast (eggs. Sausage, waffle maker, fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal and juices)

We stayed here on our recent trip to Door Country. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The setting and their gardens were gorgeous and the activities available were nice. The staff was also nice and helpful.

Great place for a getaway to Door County. Great location, good breakfast, and lots of things to do. Or, you can do nothing at all — best vacation ever!

I vacation a lot but to be honest Wisconsin wasn't someplace I would have ever come up with all my own. Luckily a friend of mine saw some information and we booked this for a girl trip. We loved it! I'm so glad we came here and we chose this place to stay. We asked for a view of the lake we were in room 406 had to go up a flight of stairs, no elevator. The place is gorgeous well-maintained beautiful landscaping, plenty of places to sit and have Quiet Moments. Complimentary breakfast was amazing. You get coffee milk or hot chocolate in the lobby until 10 p. M. For free. The staff were warm and welcoming and helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable our beds were amazing plenty of pillows. Love the fact the bathroom had a loud bathroom fan for privacy. Small fridge and coffee maker. There are dog-friendly rooms which I liked as an option for a further future trip. You have to be at least 13 to stay here which not having kids I liked… Chance of a work quiet romantic or peaceful stay. You walk down a hill to the lake you can access the kayaks and canoes you have to just sign up for them in the lobby it's free there's also bikes for free. The hilll you walk down to get to the lake is steep there's a couple of benches stop and catch your breath if you're old and out of shape like I am. There's a nature trail to Sister Bay Town then I'd say it's about a half mile. The water on Green Bay is warmer than Lake Michigan but even then it's always cold.

My husband and I stayed at Country House Resort for a 3 night weekend trip and it far exceeded our expectations. The king bed whirlpool room has a wonderful view of the lake from the deck. We found out upon arrival that they have a breakfast buffet each morning which was a nice little treat. They have a bunch of information for Door County and the best places to go. The staff there was really very friendly. You could tell they really care about the resort and making a pleasant experience for their guests. Would absolutely come back here again next time we go to Door County. And we will bring our pup next time! :)

Awesome king whirlpool room! Breathtaking views! Secluded location! No kids! Great breakfast! What more could you ask for?

We wanted to rest and relax on our vacation so we chose Country House Resort. It's not fancy or pretentious, just quaint and serene. The staff are incredible, creating a pleasant, welcome experience. Our balcony had a beautiful water view with plush, colorful landscape throughout. They have free kayak and bike use, shuffleboard, horse shoes, bean bag toss, tennis, pool and huge hot tub. There are trails for lots of hiking. We love the grounds, splashes of vibrant colors everywhere! The quiet, gentle sound of wind rustling the leaves in the large trees with song birds singing and wood chucks and red squirrels scurrying in the cool of the morning. So incredibly peaceful with tons of opportunities for outdoor exercise and activity. Love it! Rooms are very simple but clean and neat. The breakfast was awesome, it changed daily. This morning they had omelettes, Door County cherries with yogurt, bagels, biscuits and sausage gravy, sunflower toast, raisin and pecan toast, fresh fruit, English muffins, cheese and meat tray, juice and coffee. Every afternoon they put out fresh baked cookies for guests. There's also a fire pit to enjoy next to a pond with fountains. You can't beat the service, totally on point and accommodating. We WILL be back! Oh yeah… Bring your fur babies too! They're pet friendly!

Clean lovely property! Landscape is beautiful! Three tier waterfall in the back and a wonderful seating area outside for a bountyful breakfast! The Staff go above and beyond to make sure the stay is perfect. We had a wonderful area to walk down to the water front. There are many amenities. The location is just minutes from a fun golf/go cart park. And turning on Hwy toward downtown Sisyer Bay. Just minutes from shops. Bars and restaurants! The marina is wonderful! The boat tours are great! Thanks again to the folks here at Country House!

We are returning this July for our third summer in a row. The view of the bay, the beautiful flowers, the quiet location, the delicious breakfast, the friendly staff, the absence of children (I'm not a curmudgeon! ) — — all make for a relaxing, memorable experience.

Lovely hotel, stayed here for 1 night in May. The room was spacious (we had a Lakeview king room), breakfast was good and it was great to be able to take this to eat on the balcony. Walked through the (misty) woods into town which was a nice like walk. It was a just a shame we weren't staying here for longer.

My husband, my mom and I were just there this past week for my birthday. The penthouse suite was absolutely beautiful and was a great way to spend time with my husband and mom. I want to personally thank the staff from the bottom of my heart for the truffles and card as well as the gift card for my birthday dinner at Alexander's. The swordfish was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to get back up there hopefully when the weather is nicer even though the snow made everything that much prettier! Again the best place to stay in Sister Bay in Door County!

Amazing place! Definitely recommend if you have medium to large dogs. Brought Cooper and Max and everything from checkin to checkout was superb! Suite 503 was amazing and beautifully designed! Price was fair and breakfast had a bunch of selections. Overall 5.5/5.

Amazing service! Beautiful and secluded location. A must stay!

Situated on a bluff overlooking Sister Bay. Beautiful grounds and view. Rooms are spacious and loaded with amenities. Nice breakfast offered and the staff is excellent. There is no where else I would rather stay in Door County. Always an excellent experience.

We enjoyed the lovely lake views from our rooms and daily continental breakfasts in the common room. A short, picturesque woodland walk is a shortcut to "downtown" and can be preferable to taking a vehicle if you're not going any further. Bicycles are included with your stay, and another nice way to see the area. We visited just before Memorial Day weekend, so the kayaks (also complimentary) weren't available 'till our last day, but it was a lovely day for a quick trip on the lake under the watchful eyes of our host, and the Harbor Master. (There was some concern over the cold water temperatures and my relative lack of experience. ) There are dog friendly rooms as well as suites. The rooms all have refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, hairdryers, and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. The amenities and service were everything I could have wanted.

This past weekend was our 6th year in a row at Country House Resort. We usually make our annual trip the 3rd weekend in September for our anniversary (when we arrive, there is a box of chocolates in our room with a card) and go to Harvest Fest in Sturgeon Bay, but this year (at the urging of the friendly and fantastic staff upon check-out last year), we came up for Sister Bay Fest instead. We have never had a bad experience here! The staff and resort are FABULOUS! The grounds are spectacular and there is so much to do at the resort. The complimentary breakfast are always delish and offer different things each day. Yogurt and cherries are among my favorites along with the scones and cinnamon rolls. The room is ALWAYS immaculate and has a great view of the bay from your private deck! The hot tub is wonderful and it so nice to sit around the fire pit and talk to other guests. We have a classic car and always invite friends up with their cars (for the yearly car shows) and everyone has enjoyed themselves immensely! We already have our reservation for next year Fall Fest AND they give you the option to reserve the same room! We will be in Room 208 next October. Can't wait!

This is our 2nd year here in October. (My Hubby BDAY) So this is a nice 3days getaway for us both. He does his things (activities) & I do what makes me happy. Like relaxing taking in the sites here at the CH RESORT. Shopping & enjoying the dining at nite experiences with my other hslf. Its worth the time & take the trip out hete.

Beautiful property and loved the amenities! We went Kayaking the day we got there, and then spent the day by the pool and hot tub. The staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful location. There was a little porch with chairs to relax on and gaze out at the bay. The room was very clean and quiet.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This place was absolutely beautiful. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights 3 days for her birthday and it was perfect! The FREE breakfast was very good, they have onsite kayaks that we used, a hiking trail, and a dock to watch the sunset. The sunsets here were amazing. Our room faced the water and I often thought for a sec I was in Mexico looking into the ocean instead of lake Michigan. This place is great and we are coming back WITH friends and family.

A nice quiet place with great scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. You can book an in room jacuzzi if you wish. Very nice and clean.

Hospitality is like no other. Rooms are clean. Lake view is superb and cannot ask for anything better to wake up to with a gorgeous sunrise. European breakfast is delicious. Come see for yourself.

My girlfriend and I stayed long weekend at the Country House and had an amazing time. The amenities exceeded expectations in cleanliness and in scope. The resort is quiet and intimate. The rooms have a fantastic water and nature view. It's a short nature walk from the main Sister Bay area with all of the shops and restaraunts you'll want to enjoy while you're there. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend the location to anyone planning to travel to Door County without question.

Very affordable and plenty of amenities! Rooms are very clean and have blackout blinds. Pool is currently closed but the grounds are beautiful and the staff is very friendly.

We stayed in the King Suite, which was fantastic. Very spacious, and a great view of the bay. Housekeeping even washed our dishes for us! Would stay again.

Great place to stay off season. Quiet, tranquil, nice views and friendly staff. Close to the bays as well as restaurants.

The service was horrible, and their website does not clearly state that there are no kids allowed. The man working the front desk was extremely rude, and when we asked to speak to the manager he told us it would be a waste of her time. Would never get a room here again, and will tell all friends and family to steer clear of this resort.

I managed to book a room under travago website which sent me to Orbitz. When booking on Travago for 4 adults, Orbitz decided to change my request AFTER submitting the credit card info and was changed to 2 adults. I called the hotel to confirm I needed 4 adults for the King size that showed on Travago website as available and there website, but they said they couldnt accomodate 4 adults I requested. I was told by a guy named "RON" that it was a fire hazard (what a joke) and was told that the manager "Amy" would call me back (that was over 5hrs ago). I called several times and in the end, Ron said the manager was on vacation. Well if your manager is on vacation, who makes the decisions to assist a furious potential customer? No-one. And that is aweful service. Not sure how they got a good rating under trip advisor. They must of copied and pasted the image of achevement. Good luck if you decide to stay with them. I for sure wouldnt and will tell all my friends and family about my situation with all booking websites and the hotel for the poor customer service.

Best View in DC. Spent a couple nights there last week — just before peak season. Rooms are nice and updated, grounds are very well kept and views are incredible. Some construction taking place nearby is a bit distracting Staff is engaging, polite, and helpful. You can find less expensive places to stay in DC, but Country House is worth the price.

We love it here. We can bring our dog, nice continental breakfast, and the best view in Door County. We try to go here at least once a year. Great hiking at the state park, great restaurants, lots of fun stuff to do.

No kids and tons of stuff to do! You can borrow their kayaks, bikes, play tennis, swim in the pool or hot tub, play shuffleboard, go on the nature hike to the village — even wash your car! Great place.
