Loved our first experience at Under Canvas in Zion a few years ago and choose to visit Mt Rushmore on this trip. As with our first stay, the hosts and hostess are extremely friendly and helpful. The bed is super comfortable, and so warm. Dinner was enjoyable.
So fun to talk to other guests in a casual relaxed setting. Keep up the great work.

Glamping at its best. Tents are big. Beds super comfortable. Can see Mt Rushmore from the dining room balcony.

Under Canvas is amazing. I have stayed at the Mount Rushmore location twice, the Zion location once, and I have no plans to stop visiting their 9 locations. They are an experience you want to have. Amazing accommodations, fantastic food, and the best staff around. The only thing better than the staff is their locations. Completely beautiful!

Great accommodations, Glamping next level 💯brought our dogs even! (Can’t leave them unattended FYI). Food was delicious.

The folks at Under Canvas really put some thought into the little touches that make for a uniquely memorable and enjoyable stay. High quality linen, fabulous bath amenities, comfortable beds and rustic ambiance with lanterns, and wood burning stoves. Best surprise was the quality of the food and complimentary s’mores fixings every night!

Thank you so much for an awesome stay! Definitely wanted to experience it and it was everything we hoped for. Restaurant was delicious and the tent was cozy even with 30 degree weather and rain. Will stay again.

Very comfortable! Food was delicious! Great service, very friendly staff and attentive. They make every effort to make you comfortable. The bed was warm on a cold night and very comfortable. Bedding is soft. Shower had warm water, yeah! Love the bath products, they smell great. Great views, private tents and they offer live music with fun activities like making s’mores by a campfire. Highly recommend!

Great stay, great staff, yummy food!

I have never experienced a more friendly and accommodating staff! Shortly after arrival we had an issue with the zipper on the tent and within 5 min. Jason responded and had spent a good 30+ min. Fixing the problem and identified another issue and promptly fixed that… he was nothing but thorough, kind and affable during the whole process. We had car troubles midway through our stay, needed a tow off of Needles Hwy. And the tow service left us in Keystone SD, about 2 miles away. After a long day of hiking we were exhausted and couldn't find any taxi service. In our desperation we called Under Canvas and asked if was possible to just get a lift from the bottom of the hill if we hiked most of the way up, and not 10min. Later we got a call from Alex, who offered to pick us up from where we were left, and offered to bring us back to camp. The next day while our car was an hour away, we decided to hike back down to Keystone to get basic provisions for our last night. On our way back up Jason saw us hiking up the hill and noticed immediately that we were guests and offered to drive us back up to camp! The experience has been nothing but amazing, and the staff is like nothing I have ever experienced while traveling across the country! I highly recommend you stay here you will NOT be disappointed! Also its gorgeous up here with a lookout that has a view of Mt. Rushmore, and amazing food and drink! You will never find a more caring and accommodating staff anywhere in the area!

Definitely recommend this location… very helpful staff and check in went smooth… kids love it. Stargazer is perfect size for family of 4 with 2 cots.

Wonderful experience. Friendly, helpful staff. Food is delicious! We spent half our time playing board games in the spacious “lobby” area.

We loved our stay at Under Canvas. We stayed three days and explored the Black Hills with Under Canvas as our base. The tent was fantastic. Great bed. Full bathroom. A wood stove that heated the tent in about ten minutes. Coffee was delivered to our tent each morning. The food in the restaurant was better than anything we ate in town. The staff was incredibly helpful, nice and accommodating. Now let me back up. When we got to Keystone and I told my non-camping wife that we were staying in a tent for three days she cried. Literally. But even she loved our stay and actually enjoyed it! That alone should tell you how nice it was!

Amazing, we only spent one night but I wish it could’ve been more! This was the best stay of our vacation. Everything about Under Canvas was the best we could ask for. Our tent, the food, the fire, the view, all was perfect. We will absolutely try one of their other locations the next time we are out and about. Thank you for an amazing addition to our adventure!

A incredible place! We were in a suite and it was wonderful! Bed was super comfy, staff was top notch and every thing was top of the line! Food was incredible and views are breathtaking! One of the best experiences …

I stayed with my family here for two days! I absolutely loved it! All of the staff was nice and helpful especially Daniel! He gave us a tour when we got to under canvas and told us all the things we needed to know about under canvas! It was the best! I would absolutely recommend under canvas in black hills South Dakota! Make sure you meet daniel!

This place is amazing! Super friendly and helpful staff, beautiful accommodations, great food, amazing ambiance. The reception area had plenty of games and things to keep the kids busy as we enjoyed local beer out on the incredible patio. The staff recommended we skip the drive up to Rushmore for the lighting and watch from their viewing area instead. So glad we did! Kids loved the “hive” and we loved having the large tent to ourselves. We can’t wait for our next visit.

We loved staying at Under Canvas! We stayed in the Safari Tent. Bathroom/Shower was very close. Bed was amazing — best one we have ever slept in. Food was great but a little pricey. Great views. Wonderful staff. Loved being unplugged and back to nature. Great stress reliever. We will stay again.

What a great experience. My husband and I loved it eventhought it was rainy it was gorgeous food was great. We stayed in the star gazer which has its own bathroom. Loved the fact no TV just nature. We walked around and love that no trees were torn down for the tents you can see they did everything they could to not disturb nature. We are definitely checking out the other Under Canvas locations. Moab here we come!

What a great experience at Under Canvas. My family and I traveled here from New Jersey and had a great experience! The tents were awesome, they had everything you need. Just note there is no electricity within the tent, but there are public restrooms that have showers and a plug to dry hair, etc. The views from the lil lodge were great and the food was incredible. Definitely eat at Under Canvas rather than Keystone. I will definitely be staying at another Under Canvas location soon!

This place was amazing! I was a bit nervous with it being the opening weekend. However, they did an excellent job. We enjoyed the entire experience. The staff was extremely friendly. We highly recommend this place.
