Nice place overall… fairly clean with comfortable beds and mini fridges (ours needed to be defrosted)! The staff all seemed very nice and the wireless RFID room keys worked perfectly every single time! Breakfast was a bit disappointing… the scrambled "eggs" tasted like they were made from a box of egg powder and there was no bacon or sausage! The mini muffins were good and so was the selection of yogurt although bananas and other fruit options would be nice! Also, the fitness center is just a treadmill, a bike and an elliptical (no dumbbells or bands or TV) and there are huge windows on both sides so anybody walking past can watch you! The pool area seemed pretty nice but, at least when we were there, the pool looked dirty and still had kids toys floating in it! Pretty good spot overall and definitely a good value!

The front staff when we arrived was a little confused about the layout of the hotel, but overall this is the best Baymont I have ever stayed in. The room wasn't huge but it was very clean and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable and the views were lovely. It was a little difficult getting in and out with the Walker when the hotel was very full because of parking issues. I could get my walker into their standard double bedroom without any problems, but if you require a walker to get around inside the room I recommend that you asked for an accessible room. The views for most of the rooms are quite nice do the hotel being up high on a hill, but those with any mobility issues should be sure to plan on driving anytime they want to leave the hotel because the driveway is quite steep.

Went two days without having our room cleaned. The breakfast is good but lacked many healthy options. Exercise room has four pieces of equipment but there was no towels or spray to clean the equipment once it was used which is unsanitary. Our room (202) was extremely small for our family of five. From one spot near the main entrance the Rushmore faces can be seen, which is nice. Three stars for this hotel is generous.

The staff earned the stars. If it weren't for the staff here, this would have been a deep regret. The desk staff and morning kitchen staff was excellent. The rooms were the absolute smallest 2 doubles and the double with bunk beds, crawled around each other only place to sit was on the bed. The pool had strange oil slicks floating across the top. The location made the price decent, luckily we were only needing the hotel room for a place to sleep. And aside from the size, was still comfortable.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, but that is about the extent of what I liked about this place. I guess the rate compared to other places in town was good. I room was supposed to be a suite but it was regular sized room with a bunk bed jammed in it. There was barely any space for luggage. The swimming pool is very small especially compared to the room size. The continental breakfast was a complete cluster. There were too many people for the space provided. You had to wait in line to get food and food that was supposed to be hot was cold. My wife told one of the workers that her eggs were cold and she said, "Oh honey, just warm them up in the microwave. " I rarely give critical reviews, but other than the great location we did not have a pleasant experience.

Beautiful hotel with a great view of Mount Rushmore. Friendly staff. Very nice pool and hot tub. And super clean.

The staff were very helpful! Rooms are ok, but have a great view! We could see Mt Rushmore from our balcony! The one bad thing would be a little dirty. We felt something by the bed and a huge pile of dirt was underneath the bed when we had just gotten into the hotel room, not a property cleaned room. Good indoor pool though and comfortable beds!

For the price this was a great room. I will go 4 on the stars because price negates any small issues. Front desk was initially absent but when she showed up she was fast and friendly. Our room was large with two tv's and two queens. One TV is a small detached area which was great for the kids. The room was clean and updated plus plenty of pillows. The toilet clogged once and had flusher issues. It was minimal and resolved in minutes by staff. The room was quite and we had no issue with noise from other visitors. There were some annoying birds loitering around that now and then show up outside our window chirping in the middle of the night. We were on the 3rd story and had a nice little balcony. Rushmore views are obscured by tree growth over the years but we could still see Washington clearly. We also had a nice night time view of downtown Keystone. Breakfast had a good variety but they did run out of coffee one morning. My only real complaint! Small annoyances aside the price, the updated rooms, and cleanliness made for a comfortable visit.

I stayed in August, the staff isn't all on the same page. Different information from different people working. I ended up getting overcharged first day as compared to what I was told I would be getting on the phone, I would probably suggest booking online, and not directly with keystone Baymont inn directly. The parking situation was a mess, there was construction everywhere, and they had charged me double for one of my stays while on my vacation, and couldn't do anything about it for a few days. Really screwing me over. But, the view was nice, half the staff seems to know a little bit of what they're doing and the other half seems to be asking questions to try to learn. I had a nice stay aside from all the stress Baymont created for me when leaving.

1. The staff apparently quit because there was huge piles of laundry throughout the hallways and we saw employees from Ramada cleaning the rooms which was done at a subpar level. 2. The breakfast line is about 30 people deep at 8am. So go early at 6. The eggs were amazing, plus you can make you own waffles and pancakes (explains the line). 3. The view is incredible if you're on the south side third floor. You can see mount rushmore and at night its lit up. 4. Walking distance from the little stores in keystone. 5. The website says the suite has a roll out couch but the staff says it's never had roll out couches. They bring you a foldout bed at a charge. 6. Our second TV didn't work but they came and fixed it but we never got the phone fixed. One of the light switches turned off the TV and you had to wait for about 8 minutes to watch TV again. That was a lot of fun when someone forgot. The only reason to stay here is the amazing view if you get one.

Memorial Day weekend and they were very full and completely understaffed. No hot water in the morning. Only one washcloth in our room and housekeeping had piles of dirty laundry and big bags of trash in the halls. The rooms were the smallest I have stayed in. The breakfast room was too small to seat everyone so the first morning we left and ate elsewhere. The second morning we ate there but the food was terrible. Staff was rude. Terrible experience.

I've never been more disappointed by a stay at a Baymont than in Keystone. While the rooms were clean and the staff were freindly, but relatively incompetent. Beginning with a confirmation asigned to another name, to one room having wet carpeting, to double rooms designed for a single bed not two, to the same warm breakfast of biscuits and gravy every morning and never bacon nor sausage, I doubt I will stay at another Baymont for awhile.

Sitting atop The hill it provides easy access to the boardwalk of Keystone and surrounding areas. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a little lacking but ok. Pool area looked renovated and it has a hot tub.

The room is clean, very nice. Staff is very friendly. The only thing I felt was the queen bed with the bunk beds were too tight. I would not recommend this room as it appeared that the bunk bed was put in to a queen size room. It was really cramped. The bunk bed covered the full mirror so it really wasn't useful. We would definately come back but would try to book two queens beds instead.

This place is beautiful and very clean and way worth the price we paid. The view is awesome and the staff very hospitable. I can't wait to try breakfast in the morning.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would like to thank the cleaning staff for all their hard work You do a great job. Currently they are remodeling and the rooms are beautiful. The price is very good and the staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location, top of the mountain so great view. Lots of renovations going on so parking was tricky. The room was very clean, the bunk beds in our room were a bit wobbly, but the kids still loved them. Downside, when we booked, the website says pet friendly, just like every other Wyndham hotel. This was a key reason I'm booking this hotel besides the affordability. We arrived, and promptly went to go ahead and pay the pet fee, only to be told that cats weren't allowed. Nowhere on the website did it say anything about cats. We'd already paid for the room and everywhere else was fully booked for the night. After about 20 minutes of negotiating and bringing in my husband to figure out what to do, the manager was nice enough to allow us the one night, but they basically told us to sneak in. Nice place, but not with the added stress of an already stressful 5 day move across the country.

Worst experience EVER. Rooms super small and are dirty and moldy. Pool area is extremely dangerous to even walk around… 75 year old woman fell and staff would not help at all. Green water and moldy tile around pool. Staff simply stated it was just purchased and walked away. If I could score lower I would. They picked the wrong person to treat this way when I am a pretty visible and vocal person in a largely populated area. Also know of 2 guest during my visit that contacted attorneys. Spend the extra $20 and go 500 feet down the road.

I stayed at Baymont and am giving them 3 stars, although I have no doubt they will be on the 4-5 star range very soon. I stayed, just myself, in a Queen bed room. The places does look a bit run down from the outside, however after speaking with the girls at the front desk I found out the owner just purchased the hotel 2 months ago and has been doing extensive (think millions of dollars) on renovations. The place currently does look a little like a construction zone, but the room was still clean and the staff very friendly. My TV was having issues around 9:30pm and by 9:45 the front desk was helping me get it situated (found out it wasn't plugged in! Ha) Room was equipped with a microwave and mini fridge, iron and ironing board, brand new TV, but even better brand new mattresses and bedding — pretty sure no one had even used my room yet! There is only one thing I would caution any "light sleepers" — around 8:30am the helicopter tours start, which is very close to the hotel. The noise wasn't too bad (although I pretty much slept through them), but about every 30 minutes or so you'll hear a loop around from the 'copter. The reason I say I think they will be a 4-5 star hotel soon is because even though the ladies at the front desk were friendly, I couldn't help but notice how the two of them talked so highly of their new owner, the positive changes he is making to Baymont and his willingness to help the staff.

Great price, but you get what you pay for. That was fine for us because we knew we would only be sleeping in the room. The room and bathroom were really tiny. With me and three of my kids, we were cramped. The matron had no counter space. A lot of clutter was in the hallways (as they remodel). The internet was awful, very weak signal. Painfully slow. The pool was fun for my boys, but the water was cloudy. The hot tub was similar. The breakfast was free, so no complaints. It was a good enough start to the day. The staff was wonderful. Once the Baymont is done updating, it will be a nice place to stay. But again, for the price, we were pleased here and stayed two nights. :)

Reasonably priced clean. Friendly staff. Close to several attractions. Right on the small Keystone strip. 10 minutes from Mount Rushmore.
