A horrific event happened and my husband died in our room. The staff was above and beyond so kind and so accommodating! It took hours to get an exit lined up with all the necessary officials. When it came time for me and my granddaughters to leave, the front desk staff and housekeepers were all lined up to give me meaningful hugs! Such an outpouring of love was provided by this staff! We will never forget it! Thank you!

We had the best time there NYE with our family and friends. The staff was awesome and the front desk manager was very accommodating to our family. We will definitely make a trip back!

Nice place the waterslide splash pad is nice for kids. The breakfast is well run. You can get the food you want with out the running out. There's also room for group to sit.

Hotel room was fine. Breakfast was small but did the trick. We stayed here for the water park area. Kids loved it, made the stay above average.

There were some good moments from our stay. The overnight staff on Saturday night to Sunday morning was great. The woman staffing breakfast was outstanding. These two staff are the reasons this hotel got any stars… This hotel had many issues: The hotel checked one of the individuals in our party out of their room while he was at breakfast, before 8 am, then told him they called him all day and he had no missed calls on his phone. The lifeguard staffing the pool sat on her phone the entire time we were at the pool. In fact one of the kids in our group injured his foot and she didn't even notice. Billing was a mess. I had reservations and my mom had separate reservations. Prior to getting to the hotel I called to learn someone switched both rooms to my mom's name. I called the next day to make sure the reservations were corrected and they were all in my name. I asked for the rooms to be corrected again… When we showed up at the hotel both rooms were under one name, they put a 300 plus dollar deposit on my prepaid room… And even after leaving the hotel my bill situation had still not been corrected. One guest had several hundred dollars in her purse, and the staff picked it up and returned it to the guest and forty dollars were missing from the purse. One guest in our party had to get new sheets for the bed, she placed them on the bed and the housekeeping staff only threw the comforter over the bed and did not put the new sheets on the bed.

Great breakfast. I was told the water slide is not open on Sundays. The reason we stayed here was for my 2 grandkids to enjoy the slide. The other pools were enjoyed.

It was a good stay. They probably should have told us that they were having a roof put on our second day. We wanted to sleep in, but it sounded like a herd of horses were on the roof.

We had a large room, our friends did not. No refrigerator or microwave. The breakfast was very good and the worker was very attentive! The pool was cold, but even with chattering teeth the kids did not want to get out.

Walked in to see if they had a room since it was late and I didn't think I could drive any longer for the night. Room was great but the bed was a bit hard. Breakfast was great the next morning.

Staff went above and beyond. Especially Lifeguard Mike. The gals at the front were calm and helpful while being flooded with travelers also stuck in a blizzard. Nice workout facility along with pool area (my dream as a kid). Rooms were clean.

Checking in was terrible but my room was clean, comfortable and it's one of nicest hotel around the 50mile where I was working. There's a reserve parking members as well. Breakfast area is very nice, neat and warm.

I was in town for a meeting (1/26/2018) which finished late. I came to check in for my reservation, and the staff member (I didn't get her name) was very rude and snarky at first. I was taken aback, as I was not expecting her to act that way. She lightened up a little bit when she realized I was an IHG member, but still gave me a little bit of sass. I was very disappointed in her demeanor, but I assumed that she was just having a bad day, so I left it at that. When I was checking out, Lorraine (a different staff member) gave me some sass as well. She didn't give me her full attention, as she was focusing on whatever was on her computer screen. It was clear that she just wanted me out as soon as possible to complete whatever she was doing. Needless to say, my check-in and my check-out experiences left a very sour taste in my mouth. I hope it was just because both of them were having a bad day and not because I am not white. Management definitely needs to re-train their front desk employees on the fundamentals of customer service. The only bright spot of my stay was the worker in charge of the breakfast station (unfortunately, I never got her name). She was very pleasant, and constantly checked in on me to see how I was doing.

We had some confusion on our rooms when we got there. We reserved online and only one room showed up reserved when we got there. I had a confirmation number and she still couldn't find it. We got another room and got to our room and she called to explain that she pulled more updates from online and found our reservation so she cancelled the reservation. She should have just done that from the beginning and not doubted the customer or put us through the delay of the process. Something to think about in the future. It just adds stress, confusion and chaos when it isn't necessary.

The rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Front desk was very friendly. It was a busy night at the hotel and it was difficult to find parking.

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful, no issues the entire stay and my kids loved the pool. They had variety, wade pool for my son, a mid range pool (3ft to 6), a big slide, and a hot tub. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Also the night we stayed (June 1st) we got a firework show.

Rooms not well cleaned and the breakfast with stale muffins was the real kicker. I thought I would try the chain since our travels demand a suite of some type with a small child. I guess back to old reliable and more expensive… The old attage you get what you pay for holds true in this case.

Stayed the night before a class I was taking. (Which was held right at the hotel. Score! ) The room, staff, breakfast and training/class facilities were all top notch. And those pillows! Amazing!

I had a pleasant stay at this Holiday. The staff was nice and helpful, especially, when we had issues with our credit card. The breakfast was good. My room was a double Queen with the kitchenette and quite large. Bathroom and room was clean. I would stay there again.

Large, clean rooms, with full amenities: refrigerator, television, phone, Keurig, etc. Continental breakfast, and a large swimming pool area with a children's pool, hot tub, and water slide.

My room was perfect, comfortable and cozy, continental breakfast absolute best as always. I must admit the mattress made it difficult to get out of bed!

The staff was great and made you feel very welcomed into there very Doane facility! The grandkids loved the pool area as well as the adults and breakfast was excellent!

The staff are very friendly. Kids will have a great time on the water slide in the pool area. The breakfast offers selections for every taste.

Excellent and friendly staff. Clean room. Great breakfast. The only set back was the mattresses. They were a very thin and in my opinion very cheap. You can hear and feel springs creek and pop in it as you roll over. The mattress did not really match the rest of then hotel.

Room was spacious and great. The pool was good too, the "lifeguard" said we couldn't have food there but there was no rule posted about it. For a girls bday party we had to take them back to the he room to eat. Over all it was good.

Inconsistent and inconvenient to business customers. This hotel is receiving 1 star because the option to leave 0 is not available. As a business customer with employees that travel all over the country and have been using Holiday Inn Express for all travel expenses. Business credit cards are not issued to all employees and this location and many others have been using cc authorization forms for years and now this location is choosing not to. Complete inconvenience anyone with common sense knows the security that comes with all credit purchases for each party especially with businesses.

Even know the holiday inn express in Watertown is a little out-of-the-way and next to a busy truckstop, which is generally a plus they have good food. The hotel staff were exceptional and accommodating to my mom or family needs it was enjoyable time for all of us to be together and enjoy Darla last road trip to South Dakota as she prepared for this trip the glimmer in the gleam was still in her eyes.
