This was the worst experience I have ever had with two hotel rooms they both smell like dog pee both rooms were not swepted or mopped both bathrooms were not cleaned they had Walmart sacks for the garbage bags under our bed consisted of garbage and old shoes The bottom of the bed skirts smell like dog pee n they haven’t been washed. Since they didn’t have any continental breakfast consisted of waffles and cereal. The pool and hot tub or as cloudy as a river you couldn’t even see the bottom there were bugs in both the hot tub didn’t even work that well. The whole outside of the building was covered in garbage and cigarettes around the sidewalks and the garbage in the back was completely full the whole time we were there I asked for a discount and they refused we couldn’t move to a new motel because they were all booked since it was Memorial Day weekend and graduation I made them come in and mop they brought in a black mop that stunk The only thing they did was put a new air conditioner in our window since ours never worked that was in room 135 and in room 138 the air conditioner smell like dirty feet like it hasn’t been clean so it was hardly working the window and 138 you could open and break in the back of the air conditioner in room 135 outside was full of garbage and a roll of tin The only thing that was nice about the motel Was is the young man working at the front desk.

Nasty hotel. No shampoo/conditioner. Refrigerator is broken. Everything is falling apart.

The lady at the front desk this morning had a horrible attitude when I went to her with complaints about the breakfast room. I would never reccomend this place and will never stay here again.

This place is something else, we checked in and went to our room and found blood on the walls immediately — next was a dirty syringe on the floor. Called front desk and he didn’t act surprised one bit — gave us a new room and all we heard all night was dogs barking, our bed sheets were riddled with burn holes and the ice maker is covered in mold! DO NOT COME HERE.

I would like to lodge a complaint against Econolodge at 5100 N. Cliff St Sioux Falls SD They were not able to provide me with the room I requested and put me in a room with a smaller bed. The pool was closed and there was no breakfast being served. When I got to my room the bed had no pillows, there were no cups or coffee for the coffee maker and no soaps or shampoo for bathing. I called to request pillows and coffee. When checking in I asked if I could have a reduced rate due to the room change and other issues. The front desk clerk was rude and told me I was already getting the room cheep and if I wanted to cancel, he could rent the room for more than I was paying. I should have cancel, however the Sturgis Motorcycle week is currently going and and there are no rooms available. Thank you

Nice clean rooms very friendly people at the desk beds are super comfortable.

This hotel was beyond disgusting. The cigarette smell in a non smoking room was simply covered over by some Fabreeze type spray. BUT… the absolute worst part was finding a dirty comforter that had cigarette burns, some black sticky material, and noticeable bodily fluid spots. When the comforter was pulled back there were spots of bodily fluids and blood larger than the palm of a hand.
Overall, it had a creepy feel. NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY HOTEL! This hotel should be advertised differently and is of the adult variety.

Outdated, but clean and comfortable. We came in late, but our needs were accommodated with a smile. The Hoyer lift for the pool makes this place 5 ⭐! Thank you for practicing inclusion for all!

When we got in at 8pm walking to our room you could hear people talking in rooms as we passed. There were no towels for a shower in our room. When looking under the bed it was dirty. The pool had no towels. The on front desk guy we had was so so nice and tried helping as much as he could but he had rude people approach him. Then next lady was non existent when you went to the front to get towels. The morning lady was non excitant too. Just horrible experience and will never stay again!

Great place. Nice rooms very clean. The staff was very helpful. I stay there 2 to 3 times a year.

Nice rooms plus they don't charge a arm and leg for your pets.

This place is the best! Customer service is their # 1 priority. Checked in 2 weeks ago and the employees treated my wife and kids with so much respect. Very neat and clean environment. — Jacob.

Good basic hotel for a road trip stop. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I slept through breakfast, but there is a Burger King nextdoor.

UPDATE! IT GETS WORSE! Phil Patel and his staff are finally being investigated after enough attention to this location and situation. I have stopped in a few times a week to try to get in contact and resolve. I also documented ever time I went in or spoke with anyone and got the proof of the misconduct of the business. I hope it helps others and I hope this puts a stop to this. I’ve never had such a horrific experience as this with choice or any hotel. Please read the reviews on this hotel and save yourself money and time. BEWARE! Like the others before me posted I had the same experience. Shay at the front desk racked up charges on my card. Not only did she tell me wrong rate/price she card my card multiple times. I have emailed, called, and stopped my 6 times and this stay at and eneded up costing me $400. Management (Phil Patel) said he would take care of it but now refuses to return emails, calls, and hides when I stop in. It’s so sickening especially after reading this is being done to so many people.

My sister and I stayed here last week, and our experience was unpleasant to say the least. In the first place, I paid for the room online before getting there. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk asked for my card. Just to verify, I told her that I already paid online, so I shouldn't be charged again. She replied with, "we'll see, " and took my card. Sure enough, I am now having to go through a dispute process to have my money refunded because she did, in fact, charge my card at the hotel, as well. Besides that, the rooms were filthy, the building smelled strongly of smoke, and the place didn't look as though it was well maintained. While we were thankful for the low price, my sister and I agreed that it would have been worth an extra $10-$20 to stay somewhere with better service and cleaner rooms.

We stayed here over the weekend for our wedding and it was the worst experience ever the staff was rude there were ants all over our room and they charged us extra money for getting ready for MY wedding in the room.

The man at the front desk was super nice and the hotel was great for the price other than at 3 am two men were banging on our door for 10 min and wouldn’t go away after we said they had the wrong room. We called the front desk and the woman kept saying “well are they still there” instead of immediately sending someone.

Very clean and inviting place. The breakfast was nothing spectacular but it'll fill you up if you're on your way. Location the highway and thus convenient for our trip. It's also close to Falls Park, which is gorgeous and a must-see if you're stopping by this town.

They seem to be trying to fix the place up. The first room they gave me the AC unit squealed loud. So they gave me a new room. All was pretty good except the drain in the shower was plugged up. I had stand ankle deep in gross tub water in order to shower.

Made a reservation for a king size bed and they didn't have one available due to renovations. General condition of the property is poor. Entire property should be renovated or demolished and rebuilt.

Worst stay EVER… Stop in here to get some rest after a 12 hour nonstop trip from Illinois and only wanted to sleep a few hours. Which never happened. Shower curtain & rod was on bed, a/c cover was off… Dirty. Was under construction, noisy workers taking LOUDLY, laughing in hallways. I explained to the clerk that I desperately needed SLEEP. So she put us in ther noisiest place in the hotel? no sleep, we left ay 6pm after 4hrs of no sleep. I have a conversion van, I didn't have to pay $50 to NOT sleep… "construction workers" smelled of pot, residents tinkering in cars doing mechanic work in parking lot… Too much to waste anymore time writing… And to add insult to injury, The manager acted like we were making stuff up in lying… Great party hotel, maybe too hole up & do drugs, drink, have a midday romp… But, if you need sleep, noooooo.

Both ice machines are broken, the pool is now under construction it wasnt when I reserved, no shampoo, no wash cloth, 2 towles, tried to over charge from what my reservation $ was. The towel rack is broke, and the breakfast is severely lacking. Everything… however the floors are FABULOUS inthe rooms.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The room that I had was the worst. The floor was dirty like it wasn't swept for a while, the sink was chipped and stained, the bathroom was extremely small, the tub was stained and had a hole in the side, the bathroom mirror was cracked, and the bed was not comfortable at all and had cigarette burns on the comforter and the sheets were stained. When walking out of the room, we all tripped on the carpet outside the door. This hotel is very outdated and lacks care and maintenance. When I told the people at the counter of our concerns, it seemed like they didn't really care. I would never stay there again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My parents stayed here and forgot thier tablet. They were on a road trip to visit me, and couldn’t drive 5+ hours to pick it up again. The staff at this hotel were understanding and helped us get it shipped to my house. Thanks!

If you are looking for a cheap stay, here it is. No extra towels. Ants in the breakfast area. Smelled like cigarette smoke. And the pool was not advised under construction.

Me and my boyfriend stay there this past weekend while the people that were working or nice the hotel itself was a disaster. One of the reasons why I rented the room was for the Jacuzzi in the pool which was non-operational and then come to find out there was ants all over in the room itself. Next time I'm going to call the hotel to make sure that the pool and Jacuzzi work before I book it.

We were disappointed immediately upon arrival when we learned that the swimming pool was still under construction even though the website says its newly renovated. The ice machine was broken, our bathtub drain wouldnt plug properly, the Wi-Fi disconnected every few minutes. Our bedspread was dirty, and the curtains were badly stained. We won't be booking here again.

Got to Econo Lodge late, no one was at front desk and had to call someone twice, which seemed like forever. The front desk lady, which was very hard to understand, locked herself out of the office and had to track down someone else. I'm assuming he was another employee that came down from upstairs and jumped over the counter to let her in. Probably at least 30 minutes trying to get checked. Finally got checked in and got into a freezing room. Tried to get the LOUD heater to work and it just kept dying. Not wanting to try and track down the staff again, piled all the blankets on one bed and tried to get some sleep. Called the manager asking for a return phone call. Monday called left message for her to call me, called again Tuesday and left another message, Wednesday when I called she answered the phone. No apology for no return phone call, she just said what a crazy week it was. The manager basically said if it was that bad we should have notified staff, she she clearly did not understand that the staff was not available and I did not want to try to track them down again. Offered a discount on my next stay but refused to refund or discount the awful room/experience. I would never go back! Staff and rooms are lacking. Don't waste your money!

Decent hotel for the price. I know this isn't a expensive 4 star hotel or anything but here's my experience… We showed up around 10pm and the desk lady at the time was not the nicest nor very welcoming. Check-in was easy and fast. The room was very outdated. (Wasn't expecting much) The beds are very hard. Pillows aren't great either. Showers don't really get that hot. The towels are like sand paper… Free "Breakfast" Watery waffle mix Cereal, muffins and toast. The juice machine was disappointing. Orange juice and apple juice were out. Only cranberry juice. The hotel got the job done for the price but definitely have stayed at nicer hotels for cheap. Seems like they have some work to do. Hope this helps. P. S. Upon arrival we had booked a king bed and were given two queens. Sheets in BOTH queens were disgustingly dirty and when we called for new sheets those were dirty as well. We were planning on swimming but both the pool and hot tub were drained. My friend staying, in another room, asked for a discount and he got one and the next day when I asked they refused a discount saying they had said online that the pool was drained. After leaving, we checked the website and it was nowhere to be found. I feel scammed. Not worth a penny. Curses!

It is truly unbelievable how this place is even stays open. There is old smelly furniture being stored from other rooms in the hallways. Smelled like ashtrays and smoke throughout. The room was dirty. Burns on counters and stained curtains with nicotine running down them. Can't see out windows well with all the dust and dirt on them. We requested non smoking room they were out and over booked. Oh but they gave us some room spray. It Didnt help. Toilet didn't work was stuck but my husband found the broken piece inside the slimy tank. THE carpeting was ripped and full of stains. No light bulb in the lamps we asked for some and they couldn't find any. The bed is hard as a rock and teenage kids are sneaking into the pool all night long through the back door. No Wi-Fi that works. Turned on a. C. And it blows smoky air. Gross. It was 98 degrees too. Save your money and go to days or another one. Also the back door entry littered with cigarette butts. Furniture Storage out there too. It was dirty inside and out. Just needs a major overhaul. Breakfast was only decent thing.

Smell like cigerette smoke. Broken toilet in room. Pool not working.

Don't stay there ra) l! Don't stay there nasty bad customers service crap motel.
