Excellent location (right near some popular sights and tasty restaurants), very clean, very efficient. Do be mindful that it is a more compact space than American hotels, but that was fine with me. View was great, bed very soft. Only issue was that the Wi-Fi was spotty at times. Would stay again.

Great location in the west end of Princes Street, near most major attractions, and for an incredible price. Also near some good food options. Room itself was a bed as big as we expected for an American king size and the bathroom is pleasantly up to date. Plenty of outlets available for charging needs. Note that we were at the "sister site" on Google maps, or new building per the reception desk, which may be more up to date — not sure.

Very nice location close to the castle and princess street but it’s cheap for a reason. Very noisy room with no ventilation. The room in general needs maintenance.

Unusual property, in that depending on your room number, you may need to exit the hotel to use an alternative entrance round the corner to get to your room. Room was fine, no issues. No view from window, but functional for a business traveller. Breakfast was a little convoluted to find, based through original entrance then upstairs and through several bedroom corridors. Some more directional signage would definitely have been appreciated.

The hotel is in a very good location. Bus stop to the airport at two steps. Clean and fully equipped room. Continental breakfast Buffet Definitely recommend.

The best location in the hotel
The optimal and strategic location of the hotel to reach the Old City, as well as the stops of almost all the BUS lines right in front of the entrance including Airlink 100 to and from the airport. Great and plentiful breakfast that if booked the day before it has a lower cost. As far as we are concerned we found friendliness and professionalism from the whole staff. A single note, fortunately the following always bring universal adapters for electric current as all the outlets, excluding that of the bathroom were all with English attack. So I would recommend maybe to provide customers with an adapter of course to return to check out.

Really nice rooms, contrary to some reviews we also had a new bathroom!
The suite is really large, just you should be prepared for the fact that you have to make a taste of a sofa bed in a 4 bed room!
Earplugs do not forget for those who are sensitive to the noise, on weekends in the room also listens to the surrounding discos!
Otherwise, it is a pointed location, almost a stone's throw away from many attractions such as the castle, the Grassmarket etc.

I stayed here for 5 nights in April for a short break. The hotel is in a great location, 5-10 minutes walk from everything in the city. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The room was big, with a big comfortable bed and a decent sized bathroom. The view from my room was nice, looking out onto Shandwick Place. The price for my stay was very reasonable too. If you need somewhere convenient and comfortable, Cityroomz is a great place.

Clean and comfortable! We stayed two nights and it's been great. Nice central location and we were able to walk all over the city.

Great value for money, spacious room and clean bathroom. Breakfast is plentiful and economical (compared to prices outside of the classic hood and brioches). Convenient location close to the centre and bus stop nr 100 in front, from and to airport.

Very Convenient located hotel close to central Edinburgh with bars and restaurants nearby, the bus 100 to/from airport stops right in front of hotel. The beds in the room were double beds, don't know if they're all the same but more suitable for friends or singles than couples. You can buy breakfast additional as you check in same price as many nearby restaurants that offer breakfasts. The Wi-Fi were fast and rooms have the basic needs, the shower was a bit small and might take few min to regulate the hot/cold water.

Very convenient to the center on foot, the bus from the airport stops right across the street. Very nice and clean room, good breakfast and great value for Edinburgh. Definitely recommended.

Great hotel, one of the best "budget" hotel I stay in the UK. It is located at the very end of the royalmile, so you can do everything by foot. There are supermarkets near by, you can buy food and cook on your room and take it with you in the morning (they have all the gadgets you need), it will be cheaper and faster then looking for a restaurant. Very clean, they store your luggage after check out. I don't have a single complain about it.

Price performance is good, bathroom is ancient, beds are ok for a weekend.

There is a bar just below the hotel. We stayed on the second floor and the music could be heard perfectly. We ask that we change room but they gave us earplugs and a 50% discount. Other than that the room was very modern and all good. A worthwhile thing to the bar.

I stayed three days there and loved the location and the room. Good beds and bathroom. Two big supermakets near, coffee shops, restaurants and the bus stop to the airport is just in front of it. The breakfast doesn't worth, because you can but everything in a supermarket or go to a coffee shop.

Very good location The kettle and a lamp did not work on arrival, the staff (very nice and available) took care of everything.

Lovely room. Perfect location. Access to reduced priced parking which is sorted very easily at front desk. Bit confusing having the two entrances but we'll signposted. Would defiantly stay again!

The location is good, 10min walk from the Royal Mile stroll around the gardens of Victoria street and the beds are really comfortable but the best thing is that the airport bus drops you right in front of you. The receptionists don't do much by understanding each other and the last day, a gentleman we made the front door while waiting for the bus to the airport nebando as it was, so the hotel very well but not the staff (he was an older man).

The hotel very good, beds, pillows, and heating perfect. The unbeatable location. The only bad thing to point out is that one day they forgot to make the room. Note a 9.

Small, but perfectly formed! The eternal problem of a double room with one chair. No bath! But don't be picky! No grab rail and bring your own shower mat (Health and Safety issues) but all in all, good place. Good location and value for money.

Cheap Hotel in a great location to visit the city. The bus from/to the airport stops right in front and the reception is open h24, with possibility of luggage storage. The room was small and not overly comfortable, but the soundproofing is good and for a short stay of a few nights it goes more than good. Very good value for money.

Value for money correct, the room was clean, the bedding is good, there were still some work in progress but this did not bother us, by cons the bar below the hotel was very noisy… Very decent overall and right next door there is a restaurant that serves very good breakfast!

Best accommodation to visit this beautiful city! Close to the old town and just a stone's throw from Princes Street. Internally the rooms are belline, clean and equipped with everything you need, as well as a kettle to enjoy a hot drink at the end of the day. Staff.

The hotel is well-located. You ve got a room with views to the main street. The heating was working well. I enjoyed the tea in the room. Although they really have to take more care of the cleaning. The bathroom is very small. As an overall opinion I think is an acceptable place for 1 night considering the price.

Quite cozy. The heating would have to run for some more time because there comes a time of night that it feels cold. Of rest quite well. Very good location and very good breakfast.

Good location, clean rooms.

Our room was completely renovated and new, so everything was still very clean. The shower was really good too, but the room was always a bit cold. The location is not perfect but good enough, about 10 — 15 minutes of walk for the "main" locations in Edinburgh. For this price I can't complain much, we had a pleasant stay!

A good location in walking distance to the castle/royal mile and a short walk to rose Street. It's also well connected being a short walk from Haymarket train station and conveniently located by a tram stop with easy connections to the airport. The room was clean but rundown, like the rest of the hotel. There was damp in the bathroom and peeling wallpaper in the bedroom. Generally quite shabby. Just because it's at the budget end of accommodation doesn't mean you expect this. The bed wasn't particularly comfy. We didn't try the breakfast. Just about okay for the money.

This hotel has great location. About 10-15 minutes from the castle of Edinburgh. Around of the hotel you can find restaurants, pubs and mini markets. Friendly staff. Cute and clean rooms. Best pillows I have ever slept. Totally value for money!

Good location for the price, but you can hear everything. From the people walking around upstairs, causing the floor the creak, to the water generator whirring every time you use the water. Doors slamming, people walking and talking down the hall. Worst night I’ve ever had at a hotel.

A very good hotel. We just returned. The rooms are big, clean. The staff are very helping and friendly. I recommend to take their breakfast. The Wi-Fi is strong and steady. The hotel is located in the center of all places. Just walk around. If we will be again at Edinburgh — we definitely will book this hotel.

This is a basic but modern hotel in a great location just off Princes St with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. Importantly, the airport bus stops just outside the hotel entrance and the tram also stops about 1 minute's walk away. Service was not overly friendly but decent. We had a family room with a bunk bed and a double bed. Despite expecting it to be crowded, it was fine in terms of size. The room itself was clean although the bathroom was a little dated and dirty. Also beware that some of the rooms are a long walk (and up and down a few steps) from the main entrance. You can check out later if you book on the hotel website and sign up for free membership.

We stayed in the new annex and had a great experience. The rooms are very clean and updated. The staff was incredibly helpful. You can't beat the location and price. However, it can be a little noisy at night depending on where your room is because of the nearby bars, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

Acceptable price-quality ratio. The best of the situation. The breakfast is expensive for the quality.

Sleeping area modern and clean, which one of our bathroom unfortunately could not say so. But rather a long-term problem than a one-time cleaning failure and presumably not to package all rooms. Otherwise OK with good location.

Zentrumnah. The bus from the airport stops right outside the door and you get anywhere. But for 100 EUR the night I would have expected another. In the end, a lot of small things did not mean a great experience for this price. For 50 — 60 EUR The night would probably be OK. In Germany, 2-3 Star class. We slept well, the beds were OK. At the hotel at the airport (double tree) paid like the same and that was the hammer.

The shower broke on the second day, but we changed the room after claiming a couple of times. The staff is very bare-bones, the carpet a little dirty, the mattress a bit worn and uncomfortable, the rest acceptable. You can sleep. I recommend it only for the price and location, but do not give more than three stars.

Room too small. But the rest is great! You can drive from the airport by bus directly in front of the hotel! Breakfast was great.

Would definitely book again!

Good location just a short walk away from most things. However very expensive for what you get. Our room was way too hot and humid so we did not want to stat there for any period of time. The staffs solution was to give us a fan which was nice but did not help at all due to the tropical like environment. Pass this one and look else where.

Hotel very fair… The street where is located is not accessible by car. It has a quality fair… looks shabby the room was not cleaned at all. The breakfast not worth the money. I don't think that again.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. Short walk to Edinburgh castle, under mile from the train station. Reception area was well staffed, friendly and efficient. The room was amazing. Modern, clean, very good Wi-Fi signal, comfortable bed, only drawback was slightly smaller TV. Bathroom was very nice. Shower could be considered small for larger guests.

Cityroomz is a simple middle-class hotel with a good price / performance ratio. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and with kettle, cups, iron etc. Quite well equipped.

Spent three days finding a place of excellent location, clean, quiet, well equipped and safe. Due to its optimum ratio price /service, it is recommended.

Great location. The room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was nice. Good enough for the price we paid. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was spacious. However, the best part of the hotel for me is definitely the receptionist Marie! She has been so informative and helpful. Our trip to Edinburgh was great thanks to her! Cityroomz is lucky to have such a great employee! Will definitely come back to stay.

Fine location, rather smelly and overpriced. Rooms are fine, hallways and passages are not. Water stains and a faint mildew odor will see you to the door.

Excellent location, cheaper than premier inn but you can see why. Quite clean. Bathroom fan was not working and you only get one pillow each. Mattress quite hard. Decor very plain and cheap. Good for the money.

Very cheap and good value, it'd clean, tidy and quirt considering the environment. Right in the centre so location is perfect and so close to public transport links.

Airport bus stop outside the hotel. The tram is at 100 meters. 5 minutes walk to the Centre, comfortable very much at all. The room was spacious and comfortable, nothing special, but in England I expected better for the price I paid. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast I've never tried. Be more comfortable the kettle in the room and Wi-Fi fast without ever a ' hole '. Tip: phone calls and try to negotiate the price.

I had arrived very late in the evening due to my flight being delayed leaving Heathrow. However, when we landed and I had finally collected my bag, I was able to hop on a tram and I got to the city centre in 25 minutes. The tram cost £5 one way. The tram stop (West End-Princes Street) is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel entrance on Shandwick Place. The entrance is up a short flight of steps. I was greeted by Nathan who checked me in and explained the £5 vouchers I would be entitled to as I booked direct with the hotel. There is a breakfast room on the 1st floor, though I never used it but I peered inside and it has a good view onto Shandwick Place. The are snacks and drinks available to buy from reception and there is the ability to check out at 2pm rather than 11am. My room was on the third floor, up through a corridor, up some steps, down some steps and into room 318. It was a small room, facing out onto Shandwick Place. It was clean, basic but nice and bright and the bed was king size and very comfortable. Though the duvet was not quite as big as the bed so I had to hug it close to my body at night. The bathroom was again compact but very clean. The shower was powerful but the bath was quite small. Usually I can lay down in a bath but in this bath my knees were up near my stomach. The traffic on Shandwick Place was moderate, but after 11pm it quietened down. There is a pub opposite the hotel, along with a Sainsburys Local.

Hi we stayed here for a 3 day break and can not speak highly enough of the staff and premises. Beds very comfortable; rooms spotless and breakfast was lovely even though we usually have fry we now prefer continental. Finally we would like to say a special thank you to Sheila who was so helpful and friendly to us way above the norm. We highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff and very clean rooms. The price is what you would expect for a room with a bathroom. Comfortable beds that make you sleep like home. Special shout out to Ms Marie for her attention and help.

Provides all I need for an overnight stay: somewhere to sleep, somewhere to wash, somewhere for breakfast and free Wi-Fi. The lack of superfluous frills resulted in a very reasonable price. Everywhere was clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I have nothing but good things to say. Where to start first off the they have a top notch crew very helpful. Perfect location everything you need is within walking distance room is very comfortable even a nice bathroom would definitely stay here again.
