Despite government restrictions on COVID19, the hotel refused to defer bookings. I had certainly taken a non-exchangeable ticket, but under the circumstances, the impossibility of presenting myself was not my fact. A pathetic leadership policy.

Very close to everything, nice staff, komfy bed and nice linen.

Great location and that's it. Beds and pillows are not comfortable. Air conditioner doesn't work in the room even when they give you the remote control to adjust it so if it's summertime it's gonna get really hot. Shower is also not good as the water keeps getting cold and hot during the shower. There was no hot water in the last day. Staff is nice though.

They overbooked my room. Stay away from this hotel.

Nice staff, nice rooms. Some have a little bit of wear, but nothing more than a scuff here and there.

Overall, everything Is fine. Centrally located, all within walking distance. Only the name is not for the Russians. At The Battle of Alma, the Russians were defeated in the Crimean campaign.

Not the most pleasant hotel, but for a perfectly reasonable price for the city of Brussels. Very poor noise insulation, stunr carpeting in the room, there is cable with different channels, in different languages, including several popular Russians.

Team to the top! It will gladly give you advice and places to go that are less touristy! Room at the top also and breakfast nickel!

The hotel was really well-located and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Basic and without heating. Very central. Clean and with the essential services.

It is a very central hotel with a large and quiet room. We enjoy a duplex where 4 people can sleep; Ideal for a family.

Great reception, a very courteous service and has a heart that the customer silk satisfies. The rooms are nice without more… sanitary without much interest. But the quality of the staff is an asset. The hotel is well located.

Excellent mestopolozhegie of the hotel-right in the center of Brussels. Close to the railway station. Who wants to live in the city center, get acquainted with the sights of Brussels and do not overpay for accommodation-go to this hotel and do not hesitate. Live like at home. The only "but" very steep staircase and climb upstairs with suitcases hard. But these are little things. The rest is all pleasant.

The hotel is a little bit old. The furniture is also not the newest. The personal is friendly. The location near the grand place is nice.

A great place to travel around the cities. Downtown and station nearby.

Fatal. Room without heating when in the reservation it indicated expressly. They try to fix it with an "electric Infiernillo" that ended up heating the room when we left.

Not really worth it. Rooms are old, creaky bed and staff are not all very good English speakers. Breakfast is ridiculously expensive for what you get.

Very basic and grubby considering the expensive cost. Pretty much sums up Belgium on the whole really.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location, an easy walk from the station, moments from the Grand Place, bars, restaurants and chocolate stores! I had a loft room on level 3. Plenty of space! Love that the windows could be opened, bathroom was large with plenty of space to put your toiletries on too. Downside: powerpoint in the bedroom was at the end of the bed.

Very convenient hotel in the centre of Brussels which enables easy access to public transport and various sightseeing spots and shops. We received fifth floor room which was nice however the walls are damaged with water marks and cracks in the very top. Also, no air condition but for our visit in September the provided fan was sufficient. Only issue I had was with the outside doors sometimes refusing to open or being slow to open and the very minimal equipment of rooms however it well suited our needs for 3 days. Reception staff was always lovely. 4/5 would recommend.

Great location! Close to grand place and delirium cafe; both big and small.

Great location but they messed up or booking and gave our room to someone else, so instead of a queen bed a/c room got 2 single beds non a/c room (had paid in advance). Gave us free breakfast as compensation but the breakfast options were terrible. Friendly staff although clearly incompetent for giving the room to someone else even though on their booking sheet it had us down as the correct room.

Hotel is clean, location is perfect and staff are friendly, but the rooms are basic. No tea/coffee facilities, few plug sockets and no air conditioning. The strangest part is that all of the internal walls are covered in some kind of coarse render, which is so sharp it'll take the skin of of any body part which brushes against it.

Well located but Spartan in every respect. No coffee /tea making, no fridge, no cooling and it was hot and noisy outside. Cheap though.

A very good hotel located just 2 steps from the Grand Place. It offers a good quality but not incredible.

Excellent value for money, located less than two minutes from the Grand Place.

Delayed flight, we asked to cancel the first night but there is the year made to pay without trying to accommodate.

The hotel perfectly matched our expectations! The self-service breakfast was convenient and this hotel/client relationship based on trust is very significant.

Horrible and dishonest customer service. We had a receptionist named Veronica refuse to let us check in 1 hour before the official check-in time (3pm), even though there is a sign outside the door saying "Rooms Available". When we asked to speak to a manager, Veronica refused. Then she called another colleague over who proceeded to yell at us about sticking with the official check-in time, That gentleman then refused to give his name when asked. These two receptionists certainly don't even deserve to work in a motel, let alone at the front desk of a 3-star hotel like Alma.

We encountered the receptionist Veronica, who was dishonest, unfriendly, and who went our of her way to make our stay uncomfortable at Alma Hotel. She did not allow us to check in at 2pm (official checkin time is 3pm) even though she had rooms available. We arrived at the hotel after a red-eye flight and we were tired and miserable. Veronica knew she had the power to make us uncomfortable, so she didn't let us checkin because she liked watching us jetlagged and wretched. We caught her letting other tourists check into the hotel at 2:10pm that day, so we knew that she singled us out for mistreatment, most likely because we were young, non-Caucasian, and didn't speak French or Dutch. When we confronted Veronica and asked for her name, she lied and told us that her name was Antonia. She then refused to let us talk to a manager and even refused to give us a complain form. Worst receptionist that we encountered after being in 15 countries and 40+ hotels. We certainly did not expect a 3-star hotel like Alma to employ such a unfriendly, dishonest, and nasty receptionist (Veronica).

Nice hotel, gym facility (running, rowing, cross trainer, cycle, showers and sauna). Staff are very polite… shower was not nice in hotel room everything else was great. Iron needs to be asked for. Tea & coffee are not provided but can be asked for at a cost per day which didn't make sense.

The hotel is modern.

A shower head was not working has been fixed very quickly
The person at the reception was little happy when one has not taken breakfast the second day (€12 — for that price, you better take it on the Grand-Place).
The price is not excessive € 88 W-E
