Staff was very friendly! There is an arcade that hasn’t been updated in about a decade and it seems like a lot of wasted potential. Mini golf was fun for everyone. They no longer have Go-Karts. This place used to be a nice end cap and a more family friendly area, but has been run down over the last few years. Still an ok place but a lot of wasted potential.

One stop shopping: bed, drinks, food and slot machines.

Outdated, not even a USB plug for the room. Can’t serve breakfast, but the arcade, restaurant, and bar is open? Heard others saying it is an excuse because they are short handed. If that’s the case, be transparent and quit using COVID as an excuse. Won’t stay here again.

I can understand in the COVID-19 crisis not cleaning rooms every night and not the normal breakfast, but apples unwrapped, chocolate muffins wrapped and banana’s and oranges. They couldn’t at least put 1/2 pint cartons of milk and snack pack cereal. Pre packages cookie. Bare minimum effort for same normal price. I won’t be back!

Room was clean and comfortable. Very helpful desk personnel. Another place with powdered eggs. Need to upgrade to real eggs. Wasn't too impressed with breakfast choices.

We stayed at this hotel during our stay in Deadwood. The location was absolutely perfect with a short distance to many great places to visit. It offered so much to make our stay comfortable. Our suite was roomy, with a super comfortable bed. They had a great little bar that was open late so we could get a late night snack and beverage after a long day of exploring this beautiful countryside. So many conveniences, a little gift shop that has gifts and anything you may have forgot. There guest laundry room was clean with new washers and dryers. Plus the breakfast each morning offered so many choices. But what really made our stay was the staff. We were so lucky that Erica was working the desk upon our arrival. She treated us like family. She helped us to make sure we visited all the amazing sites so we didn't miss anything during our stay. She went ABOVE and BEYOND. I can't say enough how fantastic she was. Thanks Erica for helping us to make our stay in Deadwood so memorable. I definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Deadwood, South Dakota.

Our group stopped here during our visit to Deadwood to play mini golf. The counter person was attentive and took care of us promptly. The mini golf course was very fun and well maintained. Every other hole has a spinner that can change the way you play… possibly making big changes to the round. While we didn't stay at the hotel the public areas were clean and staff friendly. The bar area has delicious popcorn!

I don't normally leave reviews for much of anything but my wife and I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn in Deadwood SD for our anniversary and our stay was absolutely fantastic. Every one of the staff at this facility was super helpful but the gentleman who checked us in (Dewey) was especially awesome. He made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and took extra time to tell us about things to see and do in the area (a few of which weren't in any brochures we had seen). Hey Comfort Inn, I don't know what you are paying Dewey but it isn't enough! If you are staying in Deadwood, do yourself a favor and check out this place. We will definitely be back :)

Clean room, very nice hotel staff, but I was disappointed in the sofa sleeper. The matress was so thin you felt the springs. The bed was nice but the person stuck on the sofa bed didn’t sleep well either night. Hopefully this can resolved because if fixed we wouldn’t mind staying there again.

I'm currently staying at this property and I felt obliged to write a review. I stay in hotels for several months out of the year, and this one has made quite an impression. The super nice gentleman who checked me in is one of the best hospitality workers I've encountered. He truly went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable and welcomed. Apart from the service, the hotel itself is wonderful. The room I'm staying in is super clean and modern. Breakfast has good variety with several hot options. All common areas are very well-maintained and flawlessly clean. The fitness center is small yet sufficient. (No unpleasant odor and everything seemed to be clean and in very good working order. ) They even have a promotion where if you pass on having your room serviced (in a go-green effort) you receive a coupon for a complimentary beverage/snack — very cool! Even if I wanted to find something to criticize here I don't think I could. This hotel has truly exceeded my lofty expectations. If you are ever in the Deadwood area, you'd be silly not to stay here. Keep up the great work Comfort Inn!

This is a very nice, clean hotel. We only wish they would have kept Gulches of Fun. That was one of our favourite parts of our trips to the black hills!

Beds comfy, room clean. Staff super friendly! Continental breakfast is always a plus. Small casino attached. Trolley stops for $1 for transportation. Microwave and mini fridge in room.

Dewey and the breakfast lady were awesome. Bed and pillows were so great I did not want to leave them. Great night sleep other than super bright lights shinning in window.

It's comfortable and you are treated kindly. Breakfast is very good with lots of choices. Very clean and under great management. Close to all events happening in the area.

I had a wonderful 6 night stay. When checking in I was greeted with respect and welcome. The hotel is remarkably clean and appealing. The room was spacious and relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff throughout the facility was friendly outgoing and welcoming. The Inn is conveniently located by amenities the hiking trail snowmobile trail downhill skiing museums and local shops. Parking was very assessable. I would highly recommend the hotel, had a wonderful stay. It is set in a beautiful Vista.

Great place for kids! Miniature golf at the hotel. Free shuttle to downtown. Very clean and nice and the breakfast was great and lots of room to sit.

DO NOT waste your money staying here. It was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. In our short two-day stay, we never did have maid service the entire time we were there. I had to find maid carts to get more towels, toilet paper, and blankets. On top of that, we discovered our door did not lock and simply popped open without a key. A hour after discovering this, I had $200 taken out of my purse in the room. When confronting the front desk about it, the manager was incredibly rude and accusational that I had broken the door and it was my fault the money was taken. I filed a police report and also contacted the head of Choice Hotels. I was told the manager had 72 hours to contact me about this, and I never heard a thing. As if this weren't bad enough, once I heard back from the detective on the police report, I was told the cameras were too "blurry" to see anything and only catch footage 15 feet away. Between the faulty door, lack of maid service, incredibly unaccommodating front desk, and poor cameras, I will never stay here again and I certainly wouldn't advise others to!

Great hotel and great staff. Price jumped $20 in one night. For some reason the travel industry (starting with the airlines) feels they are "entitled" to change their prices daily. It has and will continue to destroy the American economy and sets precedence for other industries to do the same. Imagine if your food costs fluctuated like that, or your rent, or… pick a FAIR price and stick with it! If the travel industry continues… watch it happen all around you!

Room is clean and comfortable. Bathroom roomy. Room has refrigerator and microwave. Hotel has hot breakfast buffet, gift shop, workout area, indoor pool, miniature golf, gift shop, casino, and a small bar and grill. The only thing that frustrated me was that since our room is on the second floor we parked out back. The room key would not unlock the back entry door near the breakfast room. I would stay here again if ever back in the area.

I visited for the mini golf. Out also had a nice little arcade, but I didn't play anything. The mini golf however, was fun and unique. They added these spinners on every even hole that potentially had players doing thing that could help or hurt them on that hole our just make things silly.

We didn't make a reservation ahead of time. We rolled into town late & Luckily got a room. The front desk gal was very nice. Plenty of parking. Clean room. Super friendly staff serving the continental breakfast. We enjoyed the mini golf course on the property. We will be back w/ our family.

Rooms were very clean! They have a great breakfast, staff was very helpful and polite! So nice to be away from downtown with kids but being able to take the trolley in when we wanted. We also had fun with the mini golf. Definitely will recommend to friends and family and will be back!

I love this place! The staff treats us so well, we are like family. They have great trailer parking and they take my dogs. It is so cool, they give us a gift bag for the dogs every time we come! We like it so much there we got married on the back deck last July! The location is perfect, can walk to downtown, right by the Michelson trail. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! I can't say enough, the staff is awesome, they make this place great!

Nice amenities, but the staff makes this hotel worth coming back to. Shuttle to downtown is excellent. The front desk ladies are the best! Will be posting photos of our rubber duck on our adventures (:

Excellent place to stay. The suites were clean and neat. Deadwood is a great tourist stop and I highly recommend the comfort in because they do a great job of have entertainment for every age. Fantastic Wi-Fi too!

The Comfort Inn in Deadwood, SD has beautiful and spacious rooms that come with 2 free bottles of water. The breakfast is amazing with eggs, sausage, biscuit and gravy, muffins and more! The staff is very nice. There is a gift shop in the lobby, a pool, miniture golf course and a casino as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Deadwood.

Room and location were nice. Room was clean, nice breakfast. The lobby was a bit of a tirnoff. Messy, not very welcoming. Would still recommend this hotel.

Cheap. Pool and hot tub. Clean rooms. Continental breakfast. Everything you need. Even had a mini golf course.

This was the best hotel I have stayed at. There is something for everyone in the family! Casino, Game room, outdoor fun park! The rooms were very nice and clean. Plenty of room. Our room had a great view. Shuttle to take you were you want to go no matter what time. The staff were incredible, felt like we had known them forever. Close to downtown Deadwood! Pool, hot tub, place to do laundry. Food was great. If I ever go back to Deadwood, I would not even look to stay anywhere else. This place is Awesome!

Always a pleasure to stay in this hotel, beds are nice and clean, rooms are great, staff is wonderful and so helpful, my last stay the night desk person was wonderfully helpful, the casino staff was great and attentive, maybe a little far away from the strip but cabs and the trolley make up for it, oh and a elderly gentleman was manning the bar one night and he made me the absolute best bloody mary I've ever had, great family place to stay my son could not get enough of the go karts.

Came on a bus trip. My wife was really ill while she was there from a bad cold. The staff at reception were very, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A credit to the hotel. Would definatly recoment this hotel.
