Beautiful water fall hot tub and huge deap pools inside and outside! room service, and clean nice room. Very pleased.

This place upon arrival was absolutely disgusting. I had bugs all over my room, the floors are stained and dirty, the pull out couch was gross, the sheets were dirty, there was old food and left over items under our bed, and lastly the place was COVERED in dog fur with the wet dog scent to match. I spent our entire first night HELPING the staff clean my room. The front desk girl was so helpful and attempted to help in any way possible. However, in the morning she told me to speak with the manager about our complaints and she hardly looked at me while explaining. I was asking to just have my first night comped as I spent it helping staff clean our room bc they had no more available to fit my family. However, she refused but the free breakfast ticket that we cant use because we are here for a dance competition and the times dont coincide were fabulous (insert sarcasm).

Went for a work conference & every thing was great. Food was good, staff was extremely efficient & friendly. Wound up spending the night. They were very accommodating. Gave a us a nice room & we slept wonderfully.

This place is a Dump with a capital D. Pool was closed without notice, staff was rude, rooms had bugs. Yes I said rooms… we had multiple for a family getaway. When we brought up concerns the staff they said they’re working on it. Nothing was done to comfort our concerns. We have been trying to reach out to a manager, since they were out of the office when we stayed there. They won’t call back nor will they transfer. Would rate a zero if I could… this place blows. DONT waste your time or money at this place.

This place was perfect! The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff members were so nice. The decor gave a very hollistic nature vibe, which was very comforting. The pools were clean as well. We will definitely be back to enjoy the other amenities this resort has to offer!

Great customer service. We had a fantastic weekend celebrating my parents anniversary there. Superb focus on every detail in planning and during the weekend. Lisa Wood made our time there very memorable. I would highly recommend Sawmill Creek.

If you're interested in the outdoors, this place has what you like. If you're interested in a good night's rest, this isn't the place. The beds were extremely firm. Waking up throughout the night with aching hips and back aren't something I'd expect from a hotel, but this one provided it. The room itself was sadly outdated and in need of repair in some spots. Mainly the rug. The bathroom, while somewhat updated, had slow drains and poor ventilation. The "resort" has a cozy feel that just completely ends at the door to your room. Also, TNT was the best movie channel available. We won't be back.

I had a pretty good experience here, but I will say they need to invest some serious money to update all the facilities. The plumbing was terrible and the buildings felt very old and tired. However, the staff was nice and the food was good. The views from the beach were also beautiful.

The was like the Ghost of a 4 Star Hotel Past. You could tell it used to be very nice, but it has not stood the test of time. The staff were very nice, but the room smelled of mildew. Our ice bucket had mold growing in it. The hot tub was tepid and the indoor pool seriously needed a paint job. I could tell this was a high end resort that had some disrepair. The beach was great and, again, the staff were very friendly.

It was a great hotel overall. Only complaint I have is the shower water got constantly hot and cold even though we had no other water running. It does have a golf course and a shop there as well. The prices are not bad for a 3 star hotel. It is also about 10 minutes away from cedar point.

The room was all right. It smelled a bit musty and felt a little damp. The bed was stuff and unforgiving. Fortunately, I did not send much time in the room and got to enjoy the other many amenities. The catered food was quite tasty, The Granary was a perfect hub for our large family reunion. We also enjoyed the bonfire at the beach.

Wonderful site which hosted our family reunion. Staff is friendly and helpful and they have lots of options to suit needs. Some spaces are not 100% wheel chair accessible so make sure to take that into consideration as it applies to you.

Enjoyed time with the family at this resort. There are eating areas in the facility, indoor & outdoor pool, and a massage spa. There are other attractions nearby including trails & Cedar Point. Wish I could say this was a completely good experience. Elements of the hotel room accommodations were however, were less than excellent. The carpet was not clean & had what looked like pet spots on it. The bathroom also did appear thoroughly clean — especially the sink & tub. Even worse, the tub was clogged causing the dirty water to back up. The customer service & responsiveness was pleasant & very responsive. This was with the exception of a front-desk attendant ('Brooklyn') who apparently did not like our asking about microwaves in the room — quickly displaying a dismissive and disrespectful attitude. Another attendant saw the brief exchange & intervened providing more information. The rooms do not come with microwaves. We'd been told that a limited number were available for $10/night, but apparently this is not the case. The only option was a microwave located inside the deli near the front desk — available during business hours — but this was a 5 minute walk from our room in the Shawnee area. There are small refrigerators in the room, but ours was awkwardly placed inside a cabinet at floor level — with the cabinet door opening one direction and refrigerator door in another.

Sawmill Creek was WONDERFUL! When our original hotel canceled on us, they went out of their way to help us. They went above and beyond. They helped make my daughter's wedding day so special! I would HIGHLY recommend Sawmill to everyone.

If I could give it less than one star, I would. The AC in hallways is non-existent. The rooms are rundown and completely outdated. When I checked into my room, there was a dirty sponge laying in the entryway. The tub stopper was in the middle of the tub which was dirty, rusted and disgusting. The AC in my room only had one speed and one temperature — high and cold. It was also so loud that it would wake me up several times a night. I keep my house at 63 degrees, and even I was FREEZING. Better than guests who checked into rooms without a working AC, I guess. The mattress was like laying on a wood board, except I could feel the coils. The room smelled like mildew. The soda in the vending machines, and in the deli, expired a year ago. The price of the room is not worth it. I honestly have stayed in hotels for a third of this cost with better rooms and better amenities. Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else.

A family member was a guest at the resort. Beautiful area and overall somewhere where my family would love to visit. No real concerns however the room my family stayed in had a mildew smell to it. This room was located in the Ottawa section. The grounds were very neat and clean.

This hotel has been the worst decision ever made. Extremely overpriced at $190 per night with a room where the shower water goes from cold to scalding hot continuously throughout the shower which makes it hard to shower a child, the building is so outdated, house keeping will take your bathroom towels and not replace them, TV screen flickers, carpet doesn't go all the way to the wall, staff is extremely rude and will tell at your children instead of talking to the parent and pool water so murky you cant see your feet if you're standing up. I would be okay with all of this if it were $90 per night but to charge a rate of a luxury hotel and get subpar accommodations for it. I will never come back here nor will I ever recommend anyone coming here.

Went for a Dog show meeting and had dinner in one of the large banquet halls, it was one of the worst moments of the day. There was only two meal choices for the dog show chicken or fish. Having chose fish, I should have picked the chicken. The chicken was served almost ten minutes before the fish came. The meal had asparagus, which was crunchy from dirt, rice was mediocre and salmon. The only thing good was the fish. But the service was poor, they didn't serve us drinks just water or of you wanted to spend big on a small thing of alcohol. Coffee after dinner kept running out as they served and they completely skipped our table and took away the clean cups as if they were dirty but left the dirty dishes on the table to pile up. The hotel seemed like it had seen better days, and this was not it. The staff was clueless of what was going on. I don't know if I want to go back until they change the service.

Attended a conference at this resort and spent 2 nights. Nice rooms and suites that were very clean. Many areas to relax by a fire or get comfy on a couch. Great breakfast buffet (not free). The conference rooms are huge, have good acoustics, and pleasing decor. Highly recommend this resort for your next conference or just a weekend away!

The hotel itself was nice, but our room could have been better. The bed was stiff and without any padding for cushioning. The shower water temperature fluctuated; I set it for a temperature I wanted and every 10 seconds or so there would be a flash of extremely hot water. Laslty, we could hear the normal conversation from the people in the room next to us.

Very nice, clean restrooms, clean lobby and hallways. Lots of room for conferences. The restaurant is very cool with a lodge feel. Waterfall in the lobby area. Native American theme throughout. If I were anywhere near the area I would stay here. Looks like some nice golfing too.

Overall is a very nice, the aesthetic of the meeting areas, pool, and rooms tied together nicely. Rooms are a bit spread out, some were lacking on usable outlets for charging phones, and were a bit of a hike to the meeting areas, but they were very clean and functional. All of the staff that I interacted with were helpful and courteous.

We stopped in to see about blocking rooms for a family wedding we have coming up in the area. Turns out they were already booked for the weekend we needed. The lady at the desk was nice and we took a look around the lodge. Seemed like a well maintained place, but it wasn't going to work for our needs.

Nice place, would be nice when the weather is warmer, not many winter activities. Clean cozy rooms with a fireplace available. Little pricey for winter though.

Spent a single night with my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary. Dinner in the saloon was amazing! The room was well appointed with a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We didn't interact with too many people but the front desk and restaurant staff were very nice and accommodating.

We were here for a pool tournament and the place is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are amazing and the staff is super friendly. Even the gift shop was awesome.

My wife and I are attending our third seminar at Sawmill Creek Resort. Each visit has been fantastic. The staff is very professional. The amenities are very relaxing. It is a must trip for your family.

The thanksgiving brunch was wonderful! The food was fresh and delicious. Ballroom was beautifully decorated. The entire staff was super friendly, prompt and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful! Peaceful and interesting. Lots of Indian history of the area posted in the displays in the halls and lobby. Couldn't ask for a nicer staff. Rooms are CLEAN!

The resort was very easy to get to. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was outstanding. The rooms were clean and quaint. I would recommend this place to my friends.

We went for Sunday Brunch. The food was great. We were a little disappointed that their credit card machine was down. Luckily we had cash (total bill for our group was $80). Service was just okay. We asked for a high chair when we arrived. We had to ask a second person, who took forever to find one. It also took a long time to get drinks.

Beautiful resort that has it all. Would give it five stars but the resort was built on an Indian burial ground. During the construction, they removed the tombstones but didn't remove the bodies, which caused an evil spirit to trap our daughter in another dimension. They offer free Wi-Fi, but they charge extra for paranormal investigators.

The rooms smelled musty, but they were very comfortable and clean. The bar area was great to hang out in and you can take your drinks back to your room. Great experience.

3rd time we have stayed here. Normally with family and multiple rooms. We love the mood and atmosphere. However, one of our rooms smelled very musty. Once we called on it, maintenance was in our room very quickly and changed filters on the air conditioner system. It didn't really help much.

The grounds are great. I'm not a golfer but having the ability to rent a bike and ride through the hills to a private beach was a great highlight of Sawmill Creek. The convention center isn't bad either. The staff did not look happy and could just be over worked or have a lack of support. It made it difficult to get great sevice for drinks and breakfast. The lodge part could use an update as there were many carpet stains and dark colors.

My family wanted to feel like we were on a beach vacation without the 9 or 10 hour drive. We made a great choice when staying at Sawmill Creek Resort. My husband golfed while my son and his friend swam at the private beach. We even got to witness a wedding at the beach. We played basketball, rented bikes, swam at the lake and pool, and had a great meals at the restaurant. We only left the resort one day and that was so we could take the kids to Cedar Point. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at the "resort" this weekend. I'll start with the positives. We loved the amenities — outdoor pool and beach were very nice and well kept! The rooms were totally outdated, smelly and the beds were totally uncomfortable. The pillows were even bad and the sheets were questionable if they were cleaned. Our shower was leaking. Wifi was in and out, so don't count on it. Staff was nice, but not overly friendly. I think this place could be an amazing hotel with a total remodel of the rooms. Nice proximity to Cedar Point and very family friendly.

Good service and good food and enjoyable entertainment. Ran out of the specials on a Saturday night, but we didn't order till 9pm. Several nice fish and steak selections. Prime rib was very good. Limited dessert menu, but a few goodies. Nice wine list for everyone. Overall very good and worth the trip.

Stayed here for a baseball tournament. The grounds were great. They loved the pool and the beach. The parents on the other hand had many issues. The rooms were dated. My AC was terrible and we got scalded every time we showered. Many of the rooms were dirty and 1 mom even found a large shard of glass when she checked in. They allow smoking at the pool so there were many men smoking cigars and cigarettes which was very uncomfortable. Wifi didn't work. Couldn't find a parking spot. The kids all called the hot tub the warm tub. The front desk was very inexperienced and sometimes straight up rude. Our breakfast was lacking and service was mediocre at best. Housekeeping was a bunch of teenagers who clearly are not doing their job well. To top it off they charged hidden fees on top of their already high nightly rate. With some updating and a properly trained staff this place could have potential because it's a lovely location but right now it's a disappointment.

We stayed here as a team for a soccer tournament and would definitely return. The resort is large and spread out so there are lots of fun things for the kids to do. The pool area is great to hang out in groups with both an indoor and outdoor pool with plenty of seating. There are also tennis courts a volleyball net as well as a nice practice field with nets. The staff were also pretty friendly. I would give this place 4.5 stars if I could because the rooms are a bit dated but not enough to lose a full star.
