I would give 0 stars if there was an option. I came in after dealing with another motel that gave me the Bate and switch. The owner said he knew the owner of the other motel and said he understood and would take good care of me and my kids which was staying for a Cedar Point trip. I ended up getting in our room at 10:30ish pm. The first room was room 23 (a double). As soon as I walked it in smelled so bad of mildew. The refrigerator didnt work. So I called the front desk and there was no answer. So I figured ill just deal with it for 1 night. The other room was room 7 (a single). It was ok. No real issues. 10mins after I got there, a train went by only 40-50 yrds away. Then every hour after that. So then my daughter boyfriend was in one of the beds in rm 23 and was getting bit under the covers. So he lifted the comforter only to find small bugs on him, dead bed bugs aand spiders in the bed. Mold on the bed. I tried 3x to call the offfice and there was absolutely no answer so I left messages. My daughters boyfriend cant drive at night and there was absolutely no vacant rooms and I wasnt letting anyone sleep in that room so I took my son and daughter home @2:30pm while my oldest and her boyfriend stayed in room 7. And I live 1.5hrs away just outside Detroit. The next morning my daughter talked to the owner during check out and explained the situation. The owner agreed it was unacceptable and would take care of the cost of the room and contact me.
Wonderful place! Owner takes pride in business, family owned for several generations. Rooms are clean and the pool is lovely! When you stay here, you’re family! Wonderful location, close to many restaurants and attractions.

I stayed one night and the owner was really nice. Had a pool and coffee, doughnuts, fruit and granola bars in the morning. We just needed a place to sleep when going to cedar point. Their was no smell in the room and it was clean. It was outdated a little our air conditioner was broken but it worked. We are staying the next time we go to cedar point!
